middlecoin is not profitable for me. Its more profitable to just mine coins according to coinchoose instead.
Major flaw with Middlecoin is that it exchanges the coins only later in the day after the pump is gone.
Instead, if the owner just used coinchoose directly and exchanged the coins automatically then and there, it would make much more.

Totally reasonable question. Here is the honest answer. VLC was billed as a new coin with a "fair launch" structure. One that allowed mining to happen in such a way where the general community could benefit and not just the first miners to join in. See the Original Post. After a bit of discussion and investigation into the source it was determined that the code was written so that the first block mined was worth 1,000,000 coins. then the "fair" kicked in. So, 1M out of the current 3M are owned by one person and done, what I would call, semi-secretly. Hardly what I would call fair. So, that is why *I* am down on it. It is profitable to mine, no doubt, but as soon as there is value in the coin and the owner of the 1M decides to dump, you, the one who spent time mining, are left holding a ton of useless coins. Why are you guys being so negative? Look, VLC is in the top most valuable coins to mine right now.
I think he already mentioned that he doesnt have 1M with him,rather only 200k or so? There are people with more than that many VLC (from mining) and i think all of us are smart enough to not just dump all the coins at once and be left with nothing. So dont be so sad about this. I have 100k+ vlc too and i am okay. I am just waiting for it to go on cryptsy so that i can start trading.

Oh okay. Well i just put in all the settings and stuff for gox. And did the test run with ur recommended settings 0,0.25 which seem to be the best over long run.
Well, its not placing any orders. Does the bot take time to start placing orders? And do i have to leave the browser open at all times when i want it to keep trading?
Hi , The bot trades on trends and market changes so it is normal not to see an immediate trade, you may not see one for a day or so depending on where the market is at (on volatile days you may see more). The bot right now is holding a "sell" command so you will be holding fiat. Please keep in mind that less trades are actually better as it means the bot has identified a real trend and that the trend is happening. You do need to keep the bot running on Chrome for it to work. We are discussing a hosted version, if this is something that you would prefer, please post about it on the forum so that we may garner feedback on this . Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need anything. Pablo. Thanks for a detailed answer. I like the bot so far, i would like it more if i actually see a profitable trade happen in during my trial period so i can buy the bot with confidence. The hosted version that you speak of, how is that different from what we have already? If the bot is able to trade with the browser closed, then why use a hosted version? I don't understand the difference.

Yes exactly. All these just means they are just "hoping" to achieve those targets. I am having serious doubts about their credibility.

How do you suggest we work that out Chadd?

That is just their FPGA named Mars.
They have shared any videos or pics of their ASICs.
And the video they last shared was on 10/Jun/2013 and too of the Mars.
I think they don't really have a working prototype of the ASIC.
And if their FPGA draws 440W hashing at 6.2Ghs, how can they claim that their smallest ASIC, which is the Mercury will draw only 250W hashing at 100GHs?

We all have heard about the swedish company - KnCminer. They are offering all kinds of price-effective mining hardware and promising a October delivery.
But, it sounds too good to be true and on the internet, if some deal does sound too good-to-be-true, then most of the time it is a scam.
I tried looking into the company and haven't found any solid proof to substantiate their claims.
On the website, they don't even put images of the miner itself, its just diagrams.
No one has got any delivery from them yet.
They haven't uploaded any video showing the miner itself either.
Has anyone of you got any solid proofs to say this isn't just another big scam?

Have you tried running 3 or more 7950s on a motherboard for mining without using any powered risers?
What would happen if the power drawn from the mobo is too much? Would the mobo just fry or would the PC just shutdown unexpectedly?
I ask this because, since a few days i am having a problem where my rig/pc, just freezes.
The cpu fan, gpu fans, mobo LEDs etc all keep running. And my kill-a-watt shows a sharp fall in the wattage (which means the mining has stopped on all cards) and on the monitor is "check signal cable" error. Oh and my keyboard's Num lock key doesn't turn On and Off as it should.
My rig config ::
Mobo = Gigabyte 990 FXA UD3 RAM = 1 x 8 GB G.skill 1866Mhz HDD = 2 TB WD Green and 1 x 250GB Samsung 840 SSD GPU = 3 x Msi Twin Frozr iii 7950s CPU = 8 core AMD FX 8350 Vishera OS = Windows 7 PSU = SeaSonic 1050W Gold Rated
