181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Scaling Solutions SegWit2MB, Extension Blocks Vie For Popularity on: April 04, 2017, 01:17:40 PM
If Litecoin can survive with 4 MB blocks every 2.5 minutes and Segwit, how can Bitcoin nodes not survive with 2 MB blocks every 10 minutes and Segwit?
It could all of a sudden on parity day, 1 LTC == 1 BTC you would be astonished about the sudden agility in a formerly lethargic place.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: April 04, 2017, 01:15:59 PM
Yeah, also because they still prefer on earning fiat because this is the way they are comfortable and they have been used to it, so, introducing bitcoin to them in nowhere will just be a waste of time, so, it would be better if they would find it our for themselves and going to come to those who knows bitcoin and start to ask "How can we earn some?".
Way better lever! Overly dubbing "rich" nor bolstering about money out of nothing one got personally does the project any good, quite the opposite switching their minds into opposed operation mode. That eats one's heart out.
But nobody can object against making some money. Since everybody does, on everyday.
183  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: lending on poloniex and bitfinex on: April 04, 2017, 07:03:30 AM
hello, why lending rate for BTC on poloniex 3x larger then on bitfinex?
Market dynamics. Mostly dependant upon available currency supply, Bitfinex might catch up on size since they survived their hack from recent year. And introduced that strange BU token stuff (which I would not dare to touch with a ten foot pole) but seemingly this attracts deposits, so more supply floating on site resulting into lower rates.
Go for Poloniex if you are supplying lends, my advice.
184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex automatic buying and selling orders on: April 03, 2017, 10:50:26 PM
I prefer manual trading. I've found that automated traders in the crypto space tend to underperform my manual trades due to how massive the price swings can be.
Manual traders tend to make just the right trades, hence paying the fees less often. The more trades done, the more fees paid. That substracts from revenue in the bottom line.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: April 03, 2017, 12:48:34 PM
-spam snip-

Someone can confirm this is valid? 1 BTC daily rings my Scamalerts

MyPayingCryptoAds was MyPayingAds before. They added the word "crypto" in their name because they started accepting bitcoins. I wouldn't go anywhere near that site. I think their facebook group is full of fake people saying that they've earned that much. But it really is possible to earn that much only if you've invested a lot of money and if you have a lot of referrals. Just like in other revshare sites or HYIP sites. There's nothing special about that.

MyPayingAds actually ran away the Paypal money that investors invested before. Their paypal account got limited and the cash-out balance was just gone. They weren't able to cash out. They revived the website after their Paypal got unfrozen.

It's no different than other revshares and HYIP sites. It's basically a ponzi site with a lot of people in their facebook group posting their (maybe fake) earnings. Stay away from that is the only thing I can say.

Weeks later. Dr. Uday Nara's site is still up as has been since October 2016. A cap of 120% possible revenue at max sounds totally strange to me. Buying bitcoins and hodling would NOT have capped one onto 20% income. Do I get that wrong?
I did neither invested into their revenue sharing pool, nor done any work like attracting referrals or manipulating clicknumbers by watching advertisements. Just by rule of thumb I'm no fit for the India workforce of a million people. But I'm glad they found a suiting their ways of online work kind of bussiness.

Back to margin trade lendings. Small, safe, suits me.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Parity, from "Shave and a Haircut" to "Gold" and beyond on: April 03, 2017, 12:28:40 PM
Bitcoin's price has reached parity with the per-ounce spot price of gold, according to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index (BPI).

The per-ounce spot price for gold is $1,237.73, according to the XAU/USD spot exchange rate provided by Bloomberg Markets. Bitcoin's price, by comparison, is at $1,238.11, having opened the day at $1,230.02, BPI data shows.

You cannot compare one ounce onto one bitcoin! The compared base sizes are choosen wrong!

First I pointed out that comparing ounces would be like comparing cents against satoshis. A single dollar cent values more than a single satoshi. So you should choose an ingot which values more like 40,000.00 $ and than comparing that to your bitcoin. Where it looses again.

But that's done wrong again, since 1 BTC equals 1 / 21,000,000 of total supply, so you should compare with an 1 / 21,000,000 unit of total available gold supply. Frankly said we have reached "parity" if the market capitalisation of bitcoin equals the capitalisation of total gold available. Which is further complex because some of that is historical art, you can't mold Tut-Ench-Amun's mask into an ingot without getting cursed by some obscure egypt catness deity and such.

We should refrain from those catchy comparisons and just carry on instead.
187  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: April 03, 2017, 12:04:49 AM
Technology can be a useful tool and source of entertainment for kids. But it's important for parents to keep in mind that screen time must be limited.

Small update: We are living in the times of portable screens.

Still can remember that black'n'white TV set where you needed to stand up to switch channels, and a full table surface to place it. Now there are wireless chargeable handhelds including screen, camera, phone and whatsnot.
The cat is out of the bag.

No, we can only thrieve to combine these two worlds, the "real life" and the new frontier. Augmented reality, kinda.
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 02, 2017, 04:07:28 AM
BU hashrate now 50,7%
 Sad
Segwit hashrate: 45.65%

It is pretty much the same as it was back at 35% vs 30%. Nothing changed. I wonder where the Price would be if there was no BTU attack panic recently. Roll Eyes
We are only fucked when BU + Segwit > 100.00% until that day a healthy standoff struggle works for our favor.
1300$ probably, since that's been the level before the panic.
189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 01, 2017, 03:14:17 PM
What does those cryptocoin coins under our username mean? I am a pearcoin fanboy? This is a troll right? I never heard of such a shitty coin. Whats next? Carrotcoin? Anyway april 1 game is strong right now I guess.
"pearcoin fanboy" shame on you and oh by the way happy April Fools day, yes it's 4/1 again
190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 01, 2017, 06:28:38 AM
This years April Fool isn't so bad, actually a really nifty suggestion! Seeing next to my profile I am a "Bitcoin professional".

This would make a nice enhancement, the possibility to state a fact which coin one is supporting, and on what level of involvement. Have searched for where the tags originate from, and how to configure, that prank got me. Maybe in some weeks we can really configure that.
191  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: April 01, 2017, 05:20:08 AM

192  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Whether Trump in the White house until the end of his term? on: March 31, 2017, 07:01:19 PM
Trust rating of President Trump is very low and I think because of his regulations that he made on his country so he get that ratings.
And about the investigation if FBI found some facts and evidence that Russia help Trump last election Clinton will be the President of USA

Wouldn't there have to be some renewed elections before Clinton can climb the throne? And how often would these elections have to be renewed before Clinton can climb the throne? Again, and again, and again and again and again until she finally can climb the throne?
Free perpetual democracy?
And if another election candidate steps up?
I doubt Hillary will ever be grasping the power. There are to many better options available.
193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 30, 2017, 11:25:16 PM
after 2 years i start my litecon core wallet again Cheesy

I heard it will be on Gox soon.

Really? I should buy it more before it'll be on Gox. I've wait these news for 4 years Cheesy

If they reach Mt.GOX it's probably the right move to withdrawal all funds from that place  Cheesy
I'm just glad to see litecon not beeing completely dead by now.
Sensing some walls around 1000$ btw
194  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fires of high voltage batteris in HEV and EVs. on: March 29, 2017, 10:41:10 PM

If you add the weight of all these needed esxtinguishers onto the battery weights it's probably a better tradeoff driving a classical combustion-engined car. Surprised to see the new technology still beeing combustion focused  Cool

Jokes asside, this tech will improve, just that lithium seems to be a deadend alley.

Now I am worried about my laptop replacement battery pack, it's of abroad manufactoring, could even be Samsung involved in it's production. Do I have to store it in the garden house just as a security measure to save the house?
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with a solid team support on: March 29, 2017, 06:00:19 PM
Ethereum seems missing here, I tend to believe in Vitalik's capabilities. However the original team has been rather big, and gets smaller and smaller
196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you convert cash to bitcoin anonymously? on: March 29, 2017, 07:35:13 AM
From public internet place you can order Bitcoin Debit Card for fake name and surname and for Box mail. Lifetime limit is 2500 euro.

Any questions?

Edit: I think, I don't have to add that for any order we can change name and Box mail.
Bitcoin debit card is good since we can use false information when we try to order online from those site which gives this service. It make you anonymous on making transactions but instances of emergencies related to your card would really be a big problem later on.
That would become common bussiness practices on retail stores, if the debit information supplied are smelling of bitcoin. At first attempt the store just keeps billing the money, but is not delivering any packages at all. Easy money.
If a customer in reclamations phase one can prove to be real, packaging and delivery would begin otherwise.
197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice on deleting a wallet... on: March 29, 2017, 07:21:34 AM
You never know when bitcoin santa will come along and drop a few coins into your basket.

Best to keep around and check from time to time.

On that account it would be advised to generate some thousands of fresh adresses each day! Just for a fat fingered santa mistyping a transfer target.
But if you know the math about exponents on a base ten your hopes may dwindle.
198  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you convert cash to bitcoin anonymously? on: March 28, 2017, 08:32:05 PM
The easiest way?

You buy a bitcoin miner off ebay or craigslist or wherever for cash.

You then plug it into your wall and pay the electrical company for bitcoins at a hopefully reduced rate  Smiley

Tada...

No paper trail connected to your bitcoins this way.

It requires a bit of patience but is the best $ to BTC rate if you can figure out a good setup.

The IP adress of the wallet solving the block would be recognizeable. Hence the 12.5 BTC got a resolveable name attached to them.
199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is a war against china the only option? on: March 28, 2017, 08:21:47 PM
There are 81.3% "no" votes so far, the Blitzkrieg against China has run stuck somehow. Maybe most prominent person in charge been gone golfing over the weekend, again?
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: @RogerVer lets make a deal. At least 60k, my BTU for your BTC. on: March 28, 2017, 05:41:59 PM
@RogerVer, if you don't have 300k BTC, I have more realistic offer for you:

I GIVE YOU 1 BTU, YOU GIVE ME 1 BTC.

Hope you can afford such trade. If not,  please ask your Chinese miners to lend you 1 BTC.

Grin Grin still a nice ~1000 US$ you'd be making there.

This over the counter carry trade thread has been carried away somehow.. honestly pure pettifoggers will take this debacle exactly nowhere.
