181  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk IV (2023 Q4) [MODERATED] 🔬 on: December 25, 2023, 09:10:38 AM
In the first ten minutes after posting, you can edit your post and it will NOT show that the post has been edited. (But it has and Ninja will not show the edit).

Try it out sometime.

In the meantime, use third party archiving services

The second "T" in BTCT is "town" - if you install 2FA you will notice a URL in the logo and it clearly says "Town"

Merry Christmas everyone - and a happy new year.

Stay safe on the roads and don't drink and drive - crash at a friends place, not in your car

Thanks for your report @Negotiation - You need to archive your findings via archive.today as well as web.archive.org as Ninja cannot be relied on as your only sorce of proof.  The reason I say this is because a user intending to join a campaign will copy another users post, then modify it to reflect their own details.  Ninja does not ordinarily update their archive, so they have slightly inaccurate details.

I can see the three posts are still their unedited, however, you haven't done a basic check of other details, such as their profile creation date.  In this case, it leans towards the users being alts:

2022-09-18, 21:31:31 Date Registered:    Takimach

2022-10-14, 06:01:22Date Registered:    Deritepost

2023-02-10, 23:48:41Last Active:    Deritepost

2023-12-22, 19:36:42 Last Active:    Mora77

Takimach was last active just 15 hours prior to Mora77 having been created.

Conclusion: They are probably alts.

The three bets were between $1.6 and $1.8 so I covered the three bets with two wins.

There's a URL on the icon in the 2FA - it leads to a parked domain advertisement.  Is this deliberate, or a blunder?

@Sandra_hakeem - no not IP addresses - phone numbers.

Have only just come across this thread and the vote is already closed.

Please add me to the BCT group.  That was what was being insisted on early in my time here and until very recently I'd rarely seen anything else used.

I won't be changing my abbreviation usage.

In tonight's games I've got a dollar on Exeter, Gloucester and Bath - slim pickings, but it is a long long week-end.  (Stay safe on the roads and don't drink and drive - crash at a friends place, not in your car)

Thanks to aoluain for keeping the home fires burning while I've been on vacation - I'll be back to work (and the forum proper) just after the new year.
188  Other / Meta / Re: 2FA added on: December 22, 2023, 07:17:07 AM
Hopefully, the number of alts might drop if/when 2FA becomes mandatory. (And new users should have to employ 2FA automatically)

Can we have a shield to indicate we have 2FA enabled, please?

Kudos.

I couldn't follow how there was one scammer, then five.

Start looking at the various uses of external profiles (e.g. Discord) and build you connections there.

There's just one merit swap with jayco25 (one merit each way)  Interestingly, one of their merits was to another user - ICAMerlin - who also has Merlin in their UID profile name.

The DT trust for  carizmerlin31 https://loyce.club/trust/2023-12-16_Sat_05.07h/1072279.html unsurprisingly reads:

Quote
~carizmerlin31's judgement is Distrusted by:
1. JollyGood (Trust: +18 / =3 / -1) (DT1! (10) 1387 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

On their trust feedback page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1072279

carizmerlin31 has given positive trust feedback to both ICAMerlin and AndroMerlin - as well as jtylee.

Jarome Luai of the NRL 2023 winners the Penrith Panthers has shifted to 17th (wooden spooners) the Balmain Tigers.

Former NRL forward Justin Horo believes Jarome Luai could be the perfect recruit to spearhead a Tigers resurgence under rookie coach Benji Marshall.

On Saturday, reports emerged Luai had agreed terms with the Tigers on a five-year, $6 million deal from 2025 and beyond.

However, Luai then responded on social media, explaining he was yet to put “pen to paper” on any contract despite reports circling he’d informed his Panthers teammates he was leaving.

There have been some other players at various teams shifting camp, however, this seems to be the most extreme going from a first place team to 17th.

Interesting proposition - where would the block explorer be hosted?  What guarantees would you provide for their continued existence?

Am asking for a friend.

Time to get out the cough mixture...

Speaking of me, the trust is for a person's evaluation of their trust feedback - not for personal vendettas.

You are probably the most controversial person here on the forum

Given it wasn't that long ago you sent me a barrage of PM's *cough* suggesting I comply with your plans to manipulate the DT system - then distrusted me when I choose not to - I take your above statement to be a complement and wear it as a badge of honour.

As to Vod's trust list - he might "trust" some users, but they choose not to trust him.

Vod Trusts these users' judgement:

14. Welsh (Trust: +4 / =1 / -0) (DT1! (22) 3101 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
32. nutildah (Trust: +16 / =1 / -0) (DT1! (18) 6521 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

As it is Vod was trusting SiNeReiNZzz, however, SiNeReiNZzz had already chosen to distrust Vod.  (so now they distrust each other)

I'm glad to see Australia are not the only team having a shake up of their coaching staff.

I'm guessing it's going to be fairly quiet until into the new year then the sixes in early February?

Am finally back online - two nights of storms and the internet is still slow (plus both the forum and bpip seem to be extra slow thanks to cloudfair)

I had wins on Leicester ($3.40), Toulouse, Ulster, Bath, Lyon, Bordeaux ($1.05), Saracens ($1.04) and Glasgow.  (and lost on Toulon, La Rochelle and Munster).

The Christmas bnreak sees cricket, then the Australian Open so free to air stations are saturated with those games, then in February when everyone is going back to work after our summer break, the League finally starts again.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours / Olympics on: December 14, 2023, 10:22:38 PM
I've put bets on as many of the Gallagher Cup games this weekend as I can find. I'll post them in a little while.

In Australia, all the news of Rugby Union is the Australian coach who has gone to Japan has admitted he made contact with the Japanese prior to the recent disastrous world cup.

What's your problem with the OP? .

As I asked the OP I'll ask you: Why cause conflict where there was none?

The OP mentioned me by name in this thread therefore I have a right of reply. Read the rest of the thread - others have also questioned why they have been mentioned.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours / Olympics on: December 11, 2023, 08:30:51 PM
Australia certainly have had mixed fortunes with the Women's soccer team reaching fourth place at the recent World Cup and the Women's Rugby team winning again.

The Australian men's team on the other hand both internationally and in the Pacifica comp have struggled to win their away games. There needs to be something of a "back to basics" change of mentally.
199  Other / Meta / Re: Merit earned on deleted or short posts on: December 10, 2023, 10:38:35 AM
Did you really spend the weekend conjuring up yet more statistics so you have yet more threads you can endlessly bump ?

SPQRCoin received 0/132=0% Merit for deleted posts and 0/132=0% Merit for short posts

Well that tells me nothing.  Why post it?

Timelord2067 received 21/1160=1.81% Merit for deleted posts and 1/1160=0.08% Merit for short posts

So what you're saying is that of the 34 posts of mine that have been deleted by mods (not counting the ones you ironically deleted in a thread you started about how hard-done-by-you-feel-you-are for your own posts being deleted in someone else's' thread) that more than half were meritorious - yet the mods "felt it necessary" to delete.

The Forum is kind-of-falling-apart with that kind of mentality - wouldn't you agree?
200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours / Olympics on: December 08, 2023, 04:12:53 AM
The only bet I've been able to place is on Edinburgh ($4.50) Vs Clermont. Not sure if the other games haven't been loaded. I'll check tonight when I get home.

In the sixes, I've gone France, England and Wales.
