181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: +50% hash rate - Immersion cooling mining farm on: August 03, 2019, 09:35:24 PM
Coolant a hydrophobic inert silicone, kinematic viscosity of 5-200 mm

Not that I understand what that means.

as the website is in Russian, either use google chrome to translate or look at (57) in the document which is the Abstract:

http://www.fips.ru/cdfi/fips.dll/ru?ty=29&docid=181944&ki=PM states the liquid is hydrophobic inert silicone as a coolant liquid with a kinematic viscosity of 5-200 mm at a temperature of 25 ° C with the addition of antistatic additives

182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: August 03, 2019, 12:04:24 PM
Namecoin Core version nc0.18.0 (64-bit) does not work on mac either.

I don't have a mac to test, but can you perhaps still give some more details of what exactly the issue is?  Maybe we can still debug it.

Better yet, put the details in a new issue on https://github.com/namecoin/namecoin-core.  Thanks!

I am currently stuck at no peers to connect to

User 'Inno_ASIC' has not chosen to allow messages from newbies. Could you kindly PM me then to give you the order number?

@Inno_ASIC:

A month ago I had payment confirmation from your team and several emails have been sent to your company together with multiple posts for some updates... Nothing happened.

Your email (payment confirmation) stated:

Quote from: Innosilicon
Dear customer!

We are happy to tell you that your payment has been confirmed.
The shipment will be made within 1 month after payment confirmation.

We will inform you once got an update from the warehouse.
Your understanding will be appreciated.
Have a nice day!

With the month passed and shipment to be made within 1 month... could I kindly get some updates on my order?

Edit no 1: After emailing to miner_market <miner_market@innosilicon.com.cn> got a reply:

Dear customer,
The shipment will be arranged soon, we will arrange by payment sequence.
Your order is on the schedule.
We will keep you updated.

Best Regards
Chelsea Fu

Fingers crossed now Undecided

Edit no 2 (31st of July):
Confirmation that my transaction is queued up based on payment sequence. Waiting for updates sometimes the following week with - hopefully - a tracking number.
Thank you @philipma1957

Edit no. 3 (5th of august)

A tracking number has been received

Edit no. 4 (9th August)
The miner has arrived, it is working beautifully (steady 29.4th on factory settings but pulling 2500W - will need better vent), it is clean, no dust, no issues except the sound Cheesy.
Although, I like the small rubber 'feet' that reduce the vibrations.
This was indeed an amazing experience (innosilicon first purchase/panic/and all those mixed feelings)

Final question, hopefully, do the firmware update usually improves stability and/or consumption?
185  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain gears will be available on their website in a few hours (24-7-2019) on: July 24, 2019, 02:28:30 PM
I was tempted to go get a 40th for now delivery, even did the math for the premium compared to waiting for November and was at a profit, but luckily for this forum I had the chance to check previous selling prices and discussion and realised I would have made a terrible mistake.

when do you think the next-gen miners will be available for pre-order? easter? s19's first batch here i come  Grin
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Noiseless immersion cooler! Mineral oil ASIC miner liquid immersion cooling on: July 23, 2019, 06:15:43 PM
hi,

like your video. what controller do you use for the vents (the lack of them tbh)?
187  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My small mining farm on: July 23, 2019, 05:00:46 PM
Brave man; I hope the halving would bring good news as well.

I want to ask about the submerged mineral oil setup, please.

Do you use a pump and a radiator to cool it down? If yes could you direct me to one that works well with mineral oil?

also, I see in the pictures that you only submerged the ASIC what about the heat from the PSU, as that can build a bit in the covered barrel? Any worries about the mineral oil dissolving in time the rubber from any seals or cables?

I like it as well as it is minimum maintenance, but even more due to noise reduction.
188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum lowest coldest safest GPU temperature? on: July 21, 2019, 06:06:10 PM
any updates on your success?

I am thinking of putting my rig in the attic but worried of winter temperatures, as the attic is not insulated or isolated from outside direct wind and dust. similar to yours I guess; I am curious what happened to your project as I am looking at building like a massive net box to put the rig and then see if the hot air dissipates in the vast space, also worried about bugs and insect being drawn to warm at night, or those bright white blinking lights/ among condensation and other issues.

I look forward to your reply
189  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: July 21, 2019, 07:36:31 AM
@Nicehash

I am currently using 1.9.2.7 on the new platform and constantly I see a discrepancy between whattomine.com (around 50k satoshi estimated) and your estimate (40k satoshi).
Any idea why? Is it based on if my rig gets rented or not? Or you now charge a commission on every 4-hour payments?

Also, the BTC updated price is always behind, currently is shows BTC at £7992.47 when CoinMarketCap estimates it at £8552.31.
Why is that?

Moreover, there are some algorithms ( not sure yet which one, being trying to isolate them one at a time but takes tooooooo long ) that crash my rig/restart it, not sure as well why, but this never happened on the old platform/software, also can confirm this does not happen on I mine on other pools.
Why does it crash like that?

Moreover, on your website in my wallet overview, I get a different Total Assets on the left corner every time I refresh, lower, higher, lower again. It does not appear to be related to the pending orders though... as the variance is more than 25k satoshi.

Don't get me wrong, I love the new interface but the rig crash, weird available balance and total assets, and 20% loss of possible income made me think if the premium is worth it.

I look forward to your reply until then I am of your platform.  Undecided

  • Power Specs - 200V-240V  ** MicroBT English site rates up to 300V. I will seek clarification.

I don't like this tbh. Without modification, I will never be able to use this at home (which I do not know how to do either way).

Do they plan on making bigger models with more 000's W or would they think of the little guy who can mine in a garage to give us something that we can mine profitability after the halving?

can i mining ARW by pc?

yes, join discord for more info, guides, check the pinned messages

Why not mining $ARRR Piratechain?

Already a working product, fully zcash privacy by default - look here
https://whattomine.com/coins/298-arrr-equihash

not all of us can afford an ASIC to get involved with that project, ARW is GPU friendly, exactly what i want Cheesy

So Marchigan can you explain why there is such a high premine? If you can give me a legitimate reason I may mine a little. Can you give an explanation for how much of each coin will be used for what?

Like 5% goes to the team. 20% goes to marketing and campaign. 10% is to purchase listings on first-class exchanges. Will we see proof of what these funds were used for like transaction hash and address?

I would like answers to the above as well
