Morning,

Is this coin moving forward or under ?

It this coin making any progress ?

Bottom line invest or not?  Huh
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero CPU mining, weird hashrate on: February 17, 2018, 09:57:00 PM
Hey,

I have kinda useless computers in my home, one of em have i5-3740 CPU and hashrate is 210 around. I think that is surprisingly good. Using 3 threads. Have GeForce GTX 660 in there but I cannot mine with that GPU, right?

Also how can I activate overclock CPU? It's already in fast mode and I use nanopool, Claymore CPU one by the way.

Thank you!

Might I ask what is your daily estimate in coins or fiat?

Not sure what the % stands for tbh.

I have used TDP (thermal design point) targeted at 63 degrees ( with the fans on turbo ) keeping the temps around 60 whit the mentioned OC and GPU usually 99%.
TDP is specified in Watts, so TDP setting of "63" will either mean you're telling the card to not burn more than 63W (in Linux), or to not exceed 63% (in Windows) of the maximum TDP that is specified in BIOS (something around 180W for gtx 1080, so 63% of that would be only ~113W max consumption, which is a serious cap for most 1080s - hence the questions).

Thank you for clarifying that.

I was confusing abbreviations there.
I am using TDP 100% - did not touch that at all but increased the fan speed to keep a lower temp (around 60 C)

The reason for this is that i keep mine at +100/+550/63 TDP.

63% tdp?? Isn't that abit low?

Not sure what the % stands for tbh.

Although i do am not aware of the long term stress on the cards, i only took into consideration the stability of the system as a whole.

Hey,

Would your SPmod3 make a difference for this :

[2018-02-17 07:49:07] GPU#1: Gigabyte GTX 1080, 62.66MH/s
[2018-02-17 07:49:07] [S/A/T]: 0/3420/3429, diff: 2.844, 127.29MH/s yes!
[2018-02-17 07:49:26] nist5 block 70262, diff 30711.872
[2018-02-17 07:50:24] [S/A/T]: 0/3421/3430, diff: 1.305, 127.31MH/s yes!
[2018-02-17 07:50:26] nist5 block 70263, diff 36343.573
[2018-02-17 07:50:39] [S/A/T]: 0/3422/3431, diff: 3.209, 127.24MH/s yes!
[2018-02-17 07:50:50] [S/A/T]: 0/3423/3432, diff: 27.445, 127.22MH/s yes!
[2018-02-17 07:51:02] GPU#0: Gigabyte GTX 1080, 64.53MH/s

And if yes how much would be the improvement and the cost for it please?

(i like to do my own ROI variation)

Is OC relevant in the mod3 or stock work as well? The reason for this is that i keep mine at +100/+550/63 TDP.

Thank you

Hello,

I want to ask how can you tell a pool is good for you to join ?
Does the pool have to have a low or high hash rate for better gain? Or what should I look for?

I have tested bsod and altminer so far, but the latter doesn't have any active BWK now although the payments were amazing.

Thank you

Is this number correct and possible?  Shocked

Hey,

Have you tried running nicehash to get your hash rates ?
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Did GPU prices just double in the last few weeks on: January 28, 2018, 01:49:25 PM
Hey,

Would a 1080 at $800 ish ( £565 ) be too much?
I got 2 at that price from gigabyte on the 20th this month and price went up £100 more in 2 days.
I keep thinking I started building a rig to late Smiley (this year)  Roll Eyes
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1050ti Ethereum Mining Rig on: January 25, 2018, 08:10:44 AM
win10 64bit

385.41 drivers

I have total about 20 cards 1050ti almost each different but, every card without 6pin plug

every card can do +1000 and 15,8mhash

I tested 7 cards total (the same zotacs)

in msi afterburner core -400, mem +830-850

power limit 70 - 99,8mhash 405W
power limit 71 - 102,3mhash 414W
power limit 72 - 104,5mhash 423W
power limit 73 - 105,5mhash 431W
power limit 74 - 107,5mhash 445W

PS
i  tried with ethos (newest update 1.2.7) 15,8mhash each card but total 530W power

I tried to set power limit (on global power tune i got 12,5 per card and 430W total - so windows is better

Hi. Thank you for all the information. I am new here and new to OC therefore i want to ask do you lower the core by 400 mhz and increase the memory by 830? And is the power limit the temperature or you are lowering it's power itself (in the later case which one is that?)?

And finally is it still profitable considering the price is decent and ROI is 150 days on each ?

Thank you.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash profitability on: January 20, 2018, 09:01:28 PM
@BTC22: are you using their miner? Or just their pool addresses?

If you use their pool addresses then it depends on the demands on that algorithms. You can go to their marketplaces to check.

I guess I'm "renting" my power to them.

By 'renting' to them you do not have the power to select the algorithm therefore you can only be rewarded for what jobs they 'assign' your gpu's to do. In my logic at least.

But is there a different power that the gpu's have in regards to running a different algorithm on them?
If yes this would justify the difference in payout.
