so a giant spike at the start of the day. *yay!*

...followed by the slowest exchange speed ive ever seen for the rest of the day... -___-

seriously wtf. 1hr til payout. not looking good.

without another spike from exchanging that mounting unexchanged, we're looking at another .009/MH day

Don't live day to day. Middlecoin has delivered over time, and continues to. Low pay today means high pay tomorrow. It balances out, and has for months. When it stops, you will see the hash rate go down, and CleverWaffleBros will go up.

O RLY?  Roll Eyes

lucky for me, ive been tracking middlecoin's performance for nearly a month. and not living "day to day"

it hasnt been "good" for the past week. the good days, which are few and far between are BARELY making up for the many bads

Well now we are just thread-jacking and getting way off-topic,  but that guys post is validation enough as why not to run CGWatcher. CGWatcher is a piece of shit. I'm no Einstein, but I'm not fucking stupid either. I agree that cutting the balls off by selecting a lower intensity is fucking stupid.  It's also fucking stupid to wring the shit out of your cards until they end up "sick" and "dead",  and to rely on a re-start to straighten everything out until it happens again. Throwing shares away to re-boot because I overheated my cards or constantly running at a sub-par speed are not my ideas of a stable and optimized system.  All but one of my single-core 7950s are set to I-19 and average ~630 kh/s each,  and throttle back and forth between ~620 and ~640. I have one set to I-18 so I can periodically use my monitor while mining without locking up the rig. That one throttles between ~600 and 620 Khs.  Temps almost never go above 74 degrees and fan speeds almost never go above 3400 rpm on any of my cards. Most of the time they run lower in terms of temp and fan speed. I could squeeze a liiiiittle more hash out of them if I wanted periodic lock-ups,  but what's the point since I stopped having sick/dead cards (your temps are too high,  you are killing your fans/cards) or hard locks (indicates gpu engine and/or mem clocks and/or T.C. settings are too high),  once I tuned my config.  Why do I need CGWatcher again?  Why do I need a program that would consistently NOT work properly and consistently NOT activate CGMiner if I decided to reboot or the power went out? A simple BIOS setting and a cgminer batch file in the start-up menu addresses those conditions.  And forget about setting CGWatcher up for quota work across multiple pools,  those settings were good for what,  one go-around, iirc. It didn't take me too long to figure out that CGWatcher was basically an all-around pain-in-the-ass,  barely-serviceable band-aid for a poorly tuned config file. CGMiner gives you all of the tools that you need to maximize your hash rate as well as to avoid sick/dead cards/hard locks at the same time. It took me a little longer to figure out which version of CGMiner has a dead-balls accurate quota function,  but yeah,  it does that too.

Personally I'd rather keep my 7950 making 690KH/s and have cgwatcger restart or reboot 1-2 times a day than take the hit of running it significantly slower but more "stable" as to not need cgwatcher.

I don't see how you think CGwatcher is such a pain to work with. I found it incredibly easy to use and configure.

Let's say the last 5 payments as reference:
239.45 BTC
219.59 BTC
443.37 BTC
354.32 BTC
266.92 + 92.78 BTC

On average: 332.20 BTC/day. Now looking at the power graph we "see" about 21000 Mhash. So we have an average of 0.0158 BTC/Mhash/day. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also from this the fee is subtracted.
Badly incorrect.  Notice that the pool's exchange balance never starts at 0 after a payout.  You would have to subtract an unknown chunk of exchanged but unpaid balances from the "payments" you are quoting.
Badly corrected. I would have to agree with you if the starting point varied greatly every day. Instead it starts at about the same point, so they might as well start from zero. Even if we exclude that, there is still some difference.

However there has to a high hash payment source recorded for every day so the entire pool is averaged into calculation. The difference between servers is still important for profitability.

unfortunately i think your method is terribly flawed. you have too much room for error.

youre guessing at what the average hashrate is for the whole pool. rather than work of the individual servers.

and you arent taking into account the fees. youre going by rough "eyeball" values. when you really need to be looking at controlled hashrates and ACTUAL IN YOUR WALLET payments.

unless you could get an accurate reading of the average hashrate of the whole pool everyday and then remember to take off 3.4% (which it appears you didnt) from the total BTC generated.

"wafflepool" lol...

Where are you getting these stats from? Are you load balancing each server on one of your rigs or something? Are you taking into account that the payout people ACTUALLY receive is ~3.4% less than total pool earnings?

I ask because these numbers are quite different than my numbers. Based on my personal payouts. I'll share my numbers in a bit.

You're showing ~.014/MH for yesterday.
My numbers say about .009.
this is what my payments look like, as well as the associated BTC/day and BTC/day/MH. includes 5 days averages and all time averages (from mid January)

ok here we go:

Yeah, I have averaged only 0.018/mh/day for the past 19 days, what a ripoff!  Grin

Trouble is though matey, Not everyone has seen that amount, In fact I would say most are a lot less than that.

i track my btc/d/mh every day, and keep a running 5 day average.

right now my 5 day average is ~.0095

the reason your hashrate reported by middlecoin swings so much is because of the 1024 diff.

Be nice if it swung the other way instead for a change  Cool

So if it was changed back we would see the stats report properly ?

there will be less variation if the diff is put back to 512, but the best solution is VARDIFF, but im pretty sure h2o wont due that because of the load it puts on the server.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 07, 2014, 02:00:44 PM
Site is under "Mining" For lack of a better word how much work my rig is doing, Pretty much all the time, My end says 1.8 Mh/s in CGWatcher, And a constant 1.68 Mh/s in WU: sometimes when I get the room a lot colder in the night it creeps up to 1.8 in the WU: , So can someone tell me why the site never reports the proper rate? The shares per min go between 1.57-1.7 never less, Why has the site been saying all day it's 1.49-1.6Mh/s ? That's even with another little rig that adds another 100Kh/s.

Ohh , And I've been noticing really strange shit with the unexchanged vanishing reappearing etc , Mine dropped to 0.016 then back up to 0.023 where it should of been.

the reason your hashrate reported by middlecoin swings so much is because of the 1024 diff.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 07, 2014, 04:01:01 AM
Take a look at the combined graph on middlecoin.com
Total hash rate is at around 16000mh/s. BIG drop!!

It's not a real drop. Number of users is likely about the same. And a lot of people are reporting lower than usually hashrates.

Anyway. Payout tonight was meh from useast.

About .009/MH for me.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 10:05:22 PM
The way it was intended. No it had nothing to do with actual sex or rape. Only in a symbolic/metaphoric sense. But your sensitive nature had to turn it into an issue and blow it way out of context.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 09:58:26 PM

Until it gets out of hand and then there will be people complaining as to why a serious thread about people's BitCoin money devolved into juvenille sex talk.

Oh the irony.

Someone used "gang banged" in a direct correlation with "people's Bitcoin money".

The person who initially made it about "sex talk" would be you.

Here is your dunce cap.

You must wear it for 10 days.

Haha. Exactly.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 09:09:23 PM

Why does it have to be an argument when someone says please don't use certain language?

If someone says don't curse in a restaurant should folks say every curse word under the sun to prove a point?

This is a thread about middlecoin; I would like to keep it that way without the dregs of the internet about sex, etc. seeping in.

It's not like people were talking about sliding down the pink panties of a prepubescent teen and destroying her hairless snatch with repetitive forceful thrusting.

Someone said "gang raped" and you got offended and made the silliest internet mistake.  You tried to correct someone's e-Behavior.

Never a good idea...

LOL  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 06:04:06 PM
From "low payout crisis" to "share difficulty / profit correlations" and some "know it all bang-gangs" discussions...

This is definitely the MOST entertaining thread around! Grin

On a more serious note it seems the latest server updates were successful.

8h running connected to the main server (automatic redirection)

1% reject rate
No stales
No getwork failures

 Cool

what is your geolocation? more specifically, which server are you most likely being redirected to?

im still finding a fair amount of rejects when connected to useast (by and far the closest server, since it is in Va and i'm in MD). about 5-10%
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 04:51:06 PM
the problem is that your "non-faulty" logic is totally wrong lol.

it has nothing to do with self control, and everything to do with personal preference. you prefer to live in a world of rainbows and unicorns where everyone is sensitive and politically correct. and you cry foul when something doesnt make everyone happy.

whereas most of the internet accepts the reality of the internet and embraces its cruel, vial, nature. because it's hilarious and we aren't all such pussies. so when one of you comes along, we have a good laugh at your expense by making you more angry. mission accomplished.

theres no issue with self control, most of us feel like theres nothing that NEEDS to be controlled (especially something as small as this). if you cant handle the language of the internet, my best advice would be to unplug your ethernet cord.

I'm aware of that, now take 2 minutes and look at the graph from middlecoin taking into account the day ended 13.5 hours ago and see how much progress the graph did on the time axis in that period of time.  It moved less than 3 units and each unit is 2 hours.

read my last line again, and again, and again. consult a dictionary for large words if necessary.

pssst. *whisper* i already told you that.

the graphs are provided by coingeek, not h2o/middlecoin. use 3rd party sites right now (i think someone up there even linked one for you!) if you want plots. and as always, instantaneous stats are available in text format on the middlecoin mainpage.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 03:55:15 PM
Anyone else showing middlecoin.com is down?

It has been down for 8-9 hours.

said over and over again. read people.

you NEED to use WWW.middlecoin.com

here i'll prove it:
DOESN'T WORK - middlecoin.com
OMGZ WORKS - www.middlecoin.com

stats are not updating from coingeek likely for this exact reason. but other 3rd party sites (like this one) are working just fine.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 03:49:43 PM
heres a hint: stop being so touchy and offended at every little thing and you'll be happier.

not threatened. youre the one threatened by my "cursing", apologies to your virgin ears.

like i said, this is the internet, anti-censorship in nature, we dont have to cater to you. deal with it or move on.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 03:44:05 PM
Yeh some got gang banged and got less than the cost of electric.

I'll ask that we skip the rape references, thanks.

jesus christ, grow some balls.

this is the internet, stop acting like a pussy and getting touchy over ever little thing.

but - if we stopped those useless posts (like yours), we could save time and do other nice things.

People act like they have no choice but to stoop to the lowest common denominator when they talk.

I asked politely and folks feel threatened.

Just don't do it. Simple.

rape rape rape

fire in a movie theater
bomb on an airplane

wahhhhhhhh

Wink
