181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Xtrade.io - Bringing Mature Financial Technologies to Cryptocurrency on: February 28, 2018, 04:49:22 PM
The original post says that the new roadmap is coming and this was a while ago. Has it been announced yet? I'm curious to see the progress of this project, as others also seem to be. Also, the whitepaper link on the Xtrade homepage is broken for me.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TokenSale][Bounty] Crypto Trust Network - Solving Crypto Fraud on: February 28, 2018, 04:44:00 PM
Has the team released a date for when they plan to try again?

I am also curious about this. In the article, it just says "in the proceeding months" they will be relaunching. I guess they want to have a good plan before they announce the date. I hope we know soon.

I like the new logo Cheesy Good luck on your Polycon18 presentation! I can't wait to see more about the new branding.

I am excited for the Bitblisscoin crowdsale on Feb 12. Cheesy I think this is one of the most unique projects I've seen so far. I think the debit card is probably my favorite aspect. Very innovative idea.

Do you have a Reddit we can follow?

Thank you. Yes, February 12th is the D-day for the BitBlissCoin ICO!
We are not moving the date further.

The Pre-ICO was launched on January 9th – 11th, 2018 and was SOLD OUT.

$510,000 was raised. The ICO first round will launch on February 12th, 2018
with an exchange rate of $0.85/BIBC.

Round 2 will launch on February 19th, 2018 for $0.90/BIBC.

The third round will launch on February 26th for $0.95/BIBC and
the final round on March 5th with an exchange rate of $1.00/BIBC.

This is just a tentative timeline because as one round gets finished we

Thank you for replying to that. It helped me understand it much better. I really like the referral bonus for Altcoinbooks. I think referrals are underestimated because they really help increase users. I'm excited to see how Altcoinbooks turns out.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒ Syscoin -$3 Million 1st round financing; World 1st Decentralized Marketplace! on: February 27, 2018, 07:55:21 PM
What kind of fees are there for using Blockmarket? I'm wondering how affordable it will be because that sometimes impacts the number of people who are willing to use a market.

Currently fees are 0.019 SYS to create an Alias(that last 1 year), 0.019 SYS to place an ad (which also lasts 1 year). There's also very small "dust" fees for all other transactions (0.00001 SYS) such as sending and receiving funds (like all crypto wallets), sending encrypted messages, etc

Syscoin 2.2 fees will be even less expensive for the simple transactions mentioned(~100k transactions for one Syscoin), but could also be more expensive as it will be cost per amount of data that is transferred in the transaction, reducing possible bloat, yet providing the most cost-effective and secure blockchain technology.

Thanks for the reply. That's extremely cheap compared to what I was expecting. I think low fees are going to increase users, so good job on that. I wonder how you were able to keep transfer fees so low?

I know you guys have some cutting edge technology when it comes to your CTN algorithm and the idea in general. Are there any patents being filed for CTN or will there be?
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: StreamR DATA - IoT - Unstoppable Data for Unstoppable Apps on: February 12, 2018, 05:46:43 AM
Will DATA be on better exchanges soon? Has there been any work to try to get it on Binance or others? I don't want to wait too long so if it is not in progress, what exchange do you guys recommend to get DATA now?

I think if you wait until they get on Binance or other larger exchanges then the price will likely rise. I would say it might be best to just get it on the exchanges you can right now for as cheap as it is. I like gate.io.

Where is the best place to get help / tutorials for how to get started with Decentraland? Is it easiest to ask here or is there a different place to ask the community?
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PinkDate ICO for Global Escorting Platform/Service on: February 12, 2018, 05:39:23 AM
Is there any progress on development that the team has/is able to update us with? I'm curious about progress on the app.

I'm curious for some updates on PinkDate as well. I'm wondering what they are working on and if they have encountered any issues or if they have made major progress.

I'm still curious about this. I likely just overlooked the details on it.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] UniversalCoin - The Free Digital Currency on: February 12, 2018, 05:34:47 AM
What a shame ... this is unexpected and unethical after raising money. I stand in a neutral position - if you do good, I am with you. If you try to pull something funny, I will stand against you.

DISTRIBUTION CANCELLED

We're currently experiencing technical issues. Today's distribution (Feb 12th, 2018) is now cancelled. We are very sorry and will advise once we have more clarity on the issues. Any questions, feel free to reach out to us.

To UNV team:

You guys should have some integrity, and understand that people have value for time.

Okay, I am in the same boat as you so I get why you are frustrated. But calling technical issues unethical is a little ridiculous. It very well was just bad timing. Things are sometimes rough in the beginning but they are actively working to fix the problems. Lets all have some patience before we jump to conclusions.

I agree. Setbacks such as these are frustrating, but I haven't lost faith yet either (especially since we have literally nothing to lose). The fundraiser wallet can be viewed at https://etherscan.io/address/0x77a6ac065453c639f76e266dcd73c69bc91cef47 if you want to keep a closer eye on the situation.

Thanks for the link. Yeah, I'm with you. I get it... no one wants to wait a little longer due to tech problems. However, the team has been up front from the very beginning about this project and I see no reason to assume the worst.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Xtrade.io - Bringing Mature Financial Technologies to Cryptocurrency on: February 12, 2018, 05:32:34 AM
I'm excited for XTRADE pro alpha which should be coming up. I was wondering if it will cost a subscription fee or if there will just be transaction fees?
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TokenSale][Bounty] Crypto Trust Network - Solving Crypto Fraud on: February 10, 2018, 04:24:07 PM
Interesting project with a promising idea. I have a question: In the whitepaper it is mentioned that you have been working on the CTN address book verification service. Has this already been released to initial partners as planned? If so, what was the feedback?

I am still very interested in this question. I want to get an idea of how well it is working so far and feedback so far.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: StreamR DATA - IoT - Unstoppable Data for Unstoppable Apps on: February 10, 2018, 04:22:11 PM
What makes StreamR different than IOTA? Do you see IOTA as a competitor? What are you doing differently?

In my opinion, IOTA and StreamR are really completely different and I wouldn't personally even consider IOTA a competitor. They have different functions. IoT produces large amounts of data that have little use outside of real time. StreamR is different because they allow streaming of real time data for payment. I recommend this article that helped clear that up for me: https://medium.com/@giotto_3438/a-comparison-between-iota-and-streamr-343b3d9cd2ec

Okay, that helps. I think I understand better now. Basically, it seems that IOTA focuses more on micropayments of bills and StreamR is more focused on the actual trading of information. Both seem useful, but StreamR is heavily undervalued right now and it also seems more practical to me. Thanks for the help!

They came out with a new post today and it really addresses this question. Basically, in the article they mention what they plan to do differently than IOTA and the benefits of StreamR. So basically it seems they are trying to learn and do something better. Have a read if you are still wondering.

Nice read. Thanks for posting that because I'm sure I would have missed it.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MANA]Decentraland Tokenized VIrtual Reality with Open Standards on: February 10, 2018, 04:18:38 PM
With this project, will users be able to drive the direction of Decentraland? For example, can users set up games to play with other users on land? Or rent out land for a time? Maybe even have quests and things to keep users entertained?

From my understanding, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, it seems like users are able to drive what happens in this world. They are able to do what they want on their own land. If a subset of users want to set up games / quests / whatever, on their own land, then there is no restriction. It's just up to them to get it going. I think that's one thing about this project that I really like is that the sky is the limit.

It seems like it will be more lifelike than RPG like, but I'm sure there will be some flexibility for both. Basically, whatever you can do in the real world they want you to be able to do in the game. Like throwing a concert, or having a group therapy meeting. You could be a therapist, and set up ads for your services to be rendered in game for real cryptocurrency.

I never even thought of those ideas. This is exactly why I'm so excited for this project to grow. It's driven by the users which all have really unique ideas. I doubt this would ever get boring. I wonder if they could create a place for users (maybe a blog or chat room) or something so people could communicate ideas like this and work together to make it happen.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PinkDate ICO for Global Escorting Platform/Service on: February 10, 2018, 04:15:57 PM
Will there be a launch party in other countries besides Canada?

That would be great. I'm sure if this one goes well they will have another one once it hits a couple of big cities in the US. I'm crossing my fingers for it Grin at least

Yeah, that would be pretty cool. It sounds like it might go a long way to get people more interested.

I know that there is a UniversalCoin fundraiser going on. Is there a way to keep up with the progress of the fundraiser?

If you go to the following link and then press the "contribution details" button, you will see the details of the fundraiser:
https://fundraiser.universalcoin.io/

That is just what I was looking for. Thanks! It looks like people are contributing, so that's good.
