Apparently there is still some interest. Mining spiked before the diff change, might be someone that wants the upper hand when the diff changed or something.

It does not seem my version because, this one seems to also be for the 12 chip blades (if you look at the name on one of the stats pages). But I have not checked the md5 yet.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom Innosilicon A2 Terminator image - Anx Edition on: August 21, 2015, 07:10:24 AM
Sometime tonight the miner stopped mining and didn't continue automatically.
And the miner lost my pool settings as well. Weird.
But the time it mined it did so very smooth, good work.

I'll try out your new image when it comes out.

Hi, my A2 Mini (2 x 8 Chip blade) is running image 2.0, can I replace only the executable file of CGMiner (Cgminer3.9.0-A2-V3.1.rar) or I have to use the new full image 3.1?

Thanks in advance W_M

You can just replace the executable, that would be enough.

hey emdje I have a few new A2 terminators and am pulling my hair out.  The Pi boots up fine.  Lights on the boards blink then burn solid.  I go to my browser and pull them up.  They are hashing at a very low speed. I stop CGminer, and put in my settings.  I start CGminer.  The units do not respond, and they will not start.  WTH???  I bought them brand new from zoomhash.

- Also I've been at this for 2 days now.... I've tried minereu and it works well on 3 machines.  The other boxes... well I've tried stock, tweaked, and everything else. All with no luck.  Any thoughts? Thanks.

Do you use them on wifi or cable? I have issues with the machines when on wifi.
What PSU are you using? Maybe that is underpowered.
Try a different pool, I have had pools that are veeerrrry slow responding, where it takes 2 hours before normal hash rate is reported.

Definitely going to try  Grin

I hope you like it - yours is the Gold standard for the A2's!  Wink

I wish I could have used your image, but I have both new and old Mega's, and I wanted one that would work on all of them.

I do have a question. Are you using my CGminer build in your image?
The underclock options you provide are not hard-coded in the stock software version, that is why I ask.
Stock version only allows for the 1000, 1080, 1100, 1200, 1280, 1300 and 1400MHz frequencies to be set.

If not, where did you get it, never seen another version that is why I ask.

Interesting - I don't think it's yours because it works on both new and old miners, but I obviously didn't build it so maybe it is one of your older versions.  I literally just took the image from Zoomhash, and started editing that, so it's whatever one they include... If you don't already, it probably would be worth it to change the revision string to include your name on your cgminer builds.  One super annoyance I had when building this is that I bought 20+ A2's (Mega's and 88's), and I must have had 5 different OS versions and no idea which was newer/older, what changed, etc.  So my initial plans were just to build my own use firmware to normalize everything, but then I figured if it were useful for me, it probably would be for some other people as well (particularly those with new A2 Mega's that can't run your firmware).

As far as the underclocking goes - I literally just replaced the speed in the .php and it works as expected, the hash rates reduce and the power consumption does as well.  I had just assumed that they had included it in their build, but only in coarse resolution, and you had basically taken it to the next level.  I can say that the stock image didn't offer any under/overclocking options, just basically the 1000/1100 and 1200 speeds...

If you want to incorporate anything from my image in yours, feel free - although I would hold off on the html for a bit, as I'm working on a new one right now.  I added a couple more graphs, and finally got a workable solution for setting the timezone through the web interface, etc.  Once I've basically got all the features implemented, then I plan to split it up into several pages, to clean things up a bit and move the things that are rarely changed (like network settings, etc).

Thnx for the kind words.
I indeed never put in my name in the cg builds. Maybe zoomhash used mine maybe they also got the source code from somewhere. I might check it with md5 don't know yet. When I have some more time I will check yours out, from the comments it sounds promising Smiley
If I use anything from you I will city you.

I received a board here with the serialnumber: 20140614, and it shows 8 chips on one board.

If you take off the small heatsinc, how many chips are on the board? (and make photo please)
The new A2's should have 12 chips.

@Marvell1: I burned my chip with testing my overclocked card. The heatsinc was somehow not properly screwed back on the board. The software should stop the board from becomming overheated, but I guess it went to fast. There was smoke after about ten seconds I turned it on.

I have some broken a2 12 chip blades, if I send you one and you can fix it could you update your image?

I received a broken A2 8 chip blade to fix my own broken one and I wasn't successful, but mine was pretty burned and I think more things are broken than just the chip.

Do you know what is broken on the blade? How many chips, components ect? If you could post photo's that would be awsome.

Hi just wondering if this will work with the A2 Mini Terminator?  I have a few and would like to see what i can push from them

Most probably not. The image posted on the first page for the A2 Mini Terminator is not tested well, you might try it on one of your machines it is safe to try, but I don't think it will work great.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmark on: July 27, 2015, 10:44:45 AM
For all who are still holding BTM (me included)
I am working on a new QT (I am not a dev so slow progress) for BTM, where I am using GameCredits as base for the new build.
This means I am aiming for the same re-targeting properties as GMC and EarthCoin, with the exception that BTM would still require 720 conformations (to discourage multipools)
Hopefully this will be a successful project, and something I can finish after my holiday.

If someone is willing to help with this please let me know, all help is welcome.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems with A2 Terminators - Wont start up on: July 26, 2015, 09:10:47 AM
Firstly: In normal operation the LED's flash green util they cycled the startup script and when all is returned well the will be continuously green. When some of them flash green and some are off, that means that the card that is off is defective somehow. I don't know what the red flashing means Sad

Secondly: I assume you have switched out the defective PSU.
When I got my A2 mini I switched the crappy PSU for a silent more efficient one.
I noticed that when comparing the stock PSU with the PC PSU (I don't know if that is always so, but it was in my case) the polarity on the pci-e power cables (that go to the blades) were reversed.
Possibly that is in your case as well. If you still have the old PSU with cables attached to it, measure the polarity.

Thirdly: What software are you running? If you have old A2's you might try: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=672969.0  <---New A2's are not supported in my software
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Under-overclock image for A2 Innosilicon by Emdje - Extranonce support - V4.0 on: July 26, 2015, 08:50:38 AM
The cgminer works, but i don't have all the status and setup screens, and also there is no keyboard input possible.
This behaviour is most likely caused when you compile the binary without ncurses support.
So i ask you to compile the cgminer with ncurses support, is this possible...?
You just need the package "libncurses5-dev" installed on your build system, that should do the trick.
What do you mean with no status and setup screens and no keyboard input? Do you mean the webinterface or when you login?
Reason I ask is because I have had no issues with any of the builds I made, I test them before I release them.
when using your versions I tried to start cgminer manually but I didnt had that top part of cgminer with stats, any idea why

I am having the same problem of not getting the Text User Interface when running cgminer manually. It just scrolls everything from bottom to top without being able to issue any keyboard commands. Have seen this before when compiling cgminer without libncurses5-dev (required for the text user interface).

I'm using the complete image of version 4.0 from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!zME2Va7b!lT3Gu6F0CL3i5ll0yl3SS2pn78NVpgZcJVITEnAyW9E

Also, it would be nice to have --failover-only and --no-submit-stale as options from the web UI...although it is easy enough to modify index.php Smiley
P2Pools work better with --failover-only and submitting stale.

P.S. Thank you emdje for all you have done. I just got a couple A2 Terminators (one older one that works with your image and a newer A2 Mega) and this thread has been helpful.

Thnx for the praise .

I haven't gotten around at working on the A2 image lately, and unfortunately the image on the machine I was using to build the software has failed on me. The latest modified source is on there, and need to get it off and on another image first before I can continue.
When I have time I will look make sure that the libncurses5-dev is installed before I build cgminer. Thnx for that tip.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Under-overclock image for A2 Innosilicon by Emdje - Extranonce support - V4.0 on: July 26, 2015, 08:47:05 AM
I have a similar issue with both my A2 110mh, if I change the settings, cgminer starts and then stops a couple seconds later, and basically won't start again.  If I power cycle the machine, then it seems to hash again with the correct settings.

Also, how can you reboot the machine remotely, and what's the superuser password?  I tried via ssh, but the default pi/innosilicon which logs you in doesn't grand SU.

As I said earlier I don't really have a good image for the new A2's. If my image for the new terminator mini (which also is for the large one than) does not work, that you should revert back to stock.

Only the 'old' A2's are fully functional with my image.

cool thx for reply.
mini image was great for my mini a2 terminator 29mh/s
what i used to do was to install screen then bash it and start miner manually. was great and I could see all errors and hashrate.
with full version I cant do it properly. I mean I can start cgminer but I dont have stats in cgminer (no hashrate. no errors etc) very weird. any idea why? its like bottom of cgminer is there but top not.

I am afraid not, no clue sorry  Cry

Would your image work on A2 terminator mini? I mean the image for A2 regular terminator?

And what is difference between A2 mini image and regular image?

My image works on all A2 boards from innosilicon with 8 chips on it.
The A2 mini image is experimental for boards that have 12 chips on it (the mini terminator for example). It is experimental because I can't check my work because I have no new A2's. Works with some people I heared.
