my wallets always seem to sync really slow at the start, a UK issue?
Have you ever used the addnode=IP in the config file? Perhaps a ping/bandwidth issue? I have fiber here in The Netherlands |

Seems more then useless. Even the pools are hardly going to give anything

Helixcoin is NOT like the maxcoin launch. Cudaminer was the only GPU game in town and dominated for hours. The difficulty this time has already skyrocketed with an amd miner available. Already time to consider going to a pool.

I copied just the nodes in their config, because I prefer running all wallet-block-chain-thingies off a different harddrive Ouch, I used the interactive firewall provided by my ESET antivirus |

HelixCoin wallet is available with password, I want another MaxCoin-like run from this  hmm i downloaded both windows.... do i have time to install linux on my laptop so i'm covered? damn you maxcoin for making me so paranoid Maybe run a live-usb? Even then you'd be cutting it close, considering you need nVidia drivers... im talking just for the wallet xD Wallet should be pretty much the exact same as MAXcoin was, that's what I am set up for atleast |

Actually that line would never run, as it goes back to loop. Also, you need the parameters of cudaminer in every line, not at the bottom. :loop

i added those retry commands and after the retries are done. it says
workio thread dead, waiting for workers, and it just sits there.
so i think i need some kind of terminate command to make it go to the next pool?

The first line is a .bat indication that a piece of code starts there. The second line would retry the connection every 10 seconds, for 6 times (so 60 seconds) The third line would retry the connection ever 5 seconds, for 6 times (so 30 seconds total) The fourth line would tell the .bat to go to the indication at line 1 This is the best you can do with CudaMiner for now. |
