You guys are delusional ...

If you want to convince him (i.e. to distribute the cuda HVC miner), you must come up with offers that do not insult intelligence and cover 0.25BTC/day which he is already making (and more if he grabs more cards or rents Amazon EC2 Gpu instances), not your shitty 0.01 BTC or (LOL!) $30.

This is just to release it earlier to a select group of people, as Christian will release it (for free I assume) for the masses eventually.

the issue with using bitcoins is that here in the UK, if you dont have them already there not easy to get. we dont have coinbase or anything like that :-(
You're telling me that after all this time that you have been mining, you don't have any BTC? Tongue
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 15, 2014, 03:04:01 PM
So, 3 GTX 780 Ti's are getting 0.25BTC/day at this moment
There is a x3 improvement coming
You guys (and me) are willing to pay $30 for it in beta
Price either crashes or goes through the roof
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 15, 2014, 01:10:11 PM
Aha as far as this thread goes I'm old blood :-p 400 odd pages ago

There's always a jump in pages when something new gets released
Man, I remember the MAX page jump Tongue
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 15, 2014, 12:49:46 PM
...and the newblood starts to show up. xD
Just like you did once Cheesy
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 14, 2014, 08:46:37 PM
I would consider getting those GTX 750 Ti's if the Dutch energy price wasn't €0.22/kWh... (OF WHICH OVER 50% IS TAXES)
I don't actually pay the power bill either so I morally don't want to waste it too much either...
Not sure what to mine with my single GTX 780 atm...

Last three days have seen a pretty nice run for HVC

https://www.mintpal.com/market/HVC/BTC

we've accelerated 4 out of 5 hashing algos for HVC, but the last one (Groestl) is causing us a bit of trouble.
Our first port is actually slower than the CPU - at least on my system.

Running Groestl on CPU and the rest on GPU I am getting an 800% performance boost vs. running the CPU alone.
Multiple CPU threads can even share a GPU Wink

Note that overall HVC is *not* CPU-only. They really need to change their advertising, and change it quickly. Whatever they did to SHA256 to turn it into a "GPU and ASIC resistant" HEFTY1 algorithm - it didn't work as they intended.

Christian

Who, exactly is "we"? You and nVidia?
Anyway, excellent work! Will there be a fancy countdown timer for when you release it?

Pretty nice table of next gen mobile cards:

Notice that they ALL consume less energy
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 13, 2014, 06:53:17 PM
I had to revert back to the older drivers due to this system freeze issue. Not having problems since I went back. New drivers have an issue.
Yeah I am still on old drivers too, not an issue at all with them, though I haven't really been mining anymore... (Electricity in NL is high cost)
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 13, 2014, 09:25:24 AM
I noticed the same. But I have disabled sleep for the monitor and still have it. Although I do turn the monitor off. But it's off all day as well :-s

Weirdly all the new wallets seem to cause it. Mining to pools doesn't seem as bad. So I'm going through the process of moving all my wallets to virtual machines to see if it helps
Hmm the wallets cause a crash, perhaps some kind of internet/harddrive issue then?
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 13, 2014, 09:04:52 AM
Ok this may be a little off topic but let's see if anyone else has this issue.  I'm running windows 7 x64,  and leaving it running it will run for months. If I leave cudaminer running it will run all day fine. But I leave it all night and my system hangs at random times. No bod,  no crash report. The system stays booted, but no display output, and the only way to do anything is to hold the power button down?

Everything is fully updated, anyone else got this problem?
Doesn't happen with keccak but I have noticed it a lot with script,  and scrypt-n

I'm using cudaminer 28-2-14
Hmm I have a hang too at random times, with very nasty sound effects...
I have been looking at temperatures and both my CPU and GPU were acceptable, possibly some motherboard failure? I don't mind about myself just trying to help you.
You got a MSI motherboard by chance?
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 13, 2014, 08:55:58 AM
Anyone going to be at the launch of this (scam)coin?

Cheesy

that's an idea.. I think there are a few phone with nvidia gpu's  Grin
Yes, but not with CUDA Smiley <<< dream smashing smiley
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 12, 2014, 11:44:31 AM
Cudaminer work but only boooooo! , Never yay!!! .
Likely a problem with Stratum, or a very slow internet connection.
I don't think BTL is oficially supported yet.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 12, 2014, 11:38:35 AM
Dont work cudaminer maxwell with BTL and my 2 750 ti Huh

I try this pool :

http://btl.okaypool.com/

and this settings :

cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt-jane:1394480376,4,30 -o stratum+tcp://btl11.okaypool.com:3369 -u xxx.1 -p xxx -l T120x24

Whats Wrong Huh Help Pls Smiley .
My leg stopped working, please fix it.
The doctor would now ask why it doesn't work, no feeling, not moving?
So, I, being a doctor, would ask what CudaMiner is telling you... because with just the launch code we can't fix anything.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 12, 2014, 08:38:28 AM
The chrome trick doesn`t work for risers!!!!!!!!! Huh Cry
Because risers!
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 11, 2014, 03:22:33 PM
There is: http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=3647

Thread on forcing p-state to stay @ 3d clocks all the time...
Yes but can it be done using code in CudaMiner? Because forcing 3D mode all the time is a waste of energy if you idle.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 11, 2014, 01:22:47 PM
The strange thing is the TDP which is well below 100% while running and the gpu usage is around 97%

a TDP use below 100% is suspicious for a compute bound algorithm

does it mean we have untapped reserves in the code?  I guess I need to pick up my red telephone to my nVidia performance engineers again ;-)

Christian
Perhaps this is (once again) a PCI bandwidth issue?
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 10, 2014, 11:55:24 PM
I did some testing tonight on my 2 750ti , and noticed that only the x64 version needs the chrome trick , x86 have better results about 4-5 kkhs than the x64 -with or without chrome. So x64 needs chrome and x86 no  Grin.
Sadly my max overclock stable for minig is 1355 core and 3196 mem. Max hashrate with this settings 320. May be when the rizers arrive i will try more cause now heat is an issue too cause both card are stack together and make 77-80 C.
Hmm nice find Smiley

Are you guys using any remote desktop-ish tool?
I believe that gives major issues.
