The information is all there for him to research if he truly wanted to invest in the long-term viability of the project, much like those that decided to take a chance on BTC when it was a few dollars.
I did not have a traders mentality, I needed money to feed my family and pay rent. Believe me, I would have held those babies if I could have but I was playing with fire and invested 1/3 of my savings into DRK, yeah it would have paid off nicely but getting rid of them was the wisest thing to since I was on a tight budget. Now that my budget allows for 1/10 portfolio in DRK I came here to ask again, no need to be so condescending. In regards to your second paragraph, research and information can only get one so far, can't they? Good ideas and projects also fail. Turn on the TV, absolute shite reality shows are the most popular and great gems are obscure and left in the dark forever no pun intended. You cannot say with 100% certainty that Darkcoin will follow the same pattern as BTC, it's still essentially a gamble. |

Yo guys I knew about Darkcoin when difficulty was around 300-400 nd when Mintpal just opened and it was still at 0.001150000, I had around 5000 DRK but sold them sometime around the spike to 0.003550000.
Anyway, yes I highly regret it and I kind of want to get back in the game. But I can't seem to justify the price and bring myself to buy any. 3$ a coin? WTF? Anything more than 1$ seems very expensive IMO, again because like I said I was here during it's infancy.
That said, I don't want to miss another train. Conversely though, no altcoin has ever recovered and gone above the initial pump after a P&D except Bitcoin. Darkcoin was pumped to 0.25 and then dumped, now it's rising but believing it will ever be 15-20$ a coin is like believing LTC will go to 40$ again, once in a lifetime thing.

This looks astounding. Might very well be a game changer. Thanks to the devs for getting the snowball rolling, if you maintain integrity within this project and community you will only get rewarded more. My only worry is the amount of complex additions and features that the casual user will never be able to utilize initially. Sort of like Bitcoin in 2011.
Can someone please suggest how much BAY one needs to have at least be a middle tier early adopter? 10k? 100k? 1 million? I don't have lots of money and I have been burned by ICOs before but this seems so revolutionary...
Project that Bay could hit a dollar a coin payable over a long period of time assuming we hit our target. Depending on the math, will depend on how i want to cap it and how the liquidity is split with the hedge. The goal is 1 billion dollar market cap right below BTC. I can do this by adding new rules and splitting the network. As for complex additions, im pretty used to complex code. If you have used Halo software you will know that its sophisticated code I'm working about 12 hours a day so I'm trying to hit all my deadlines. Then again, be patient.  could not resist. Great thread OP, exactly what we needed. ICOs these days have the audacity to collect millions of dollars and completely shut down and shun those who ask questions regarding its legitimacy, or where all the funds are disappearing to. as long as everyone gets paid. hm....sounds kind of like the corporations controlling America, doesn't it?
This smart contract shit is on its dying legs. I still threw .1 BTC at it just to laugh after I get scammed but I'd invest in DRK before investing in another ICO from a user with a post count of <50.

I already got burned buying at the top .0082 (I know I'm an idiot) so I am sincerely asking you people who have made enough money that you don't have any motives for others to buy, or are a genuinely good person. I'm thinking 0.004 in a few weeks time right after the issues get fixed?

No one knows. All things considered, price is holding up pretty well. Difficulty hardly changed and the masternode count hasn't dropped (if anything, it increased). What selling you are seeing are traders. Most true investors that have the coins to move price are already putting them to work in masternodes. It's an unfortunate event, but it will be fixed and DRK will be stronger for it. I am over 2014 though... the forks, the enforcement issues, the masternode exploit, now Darksend being problematic, I can't wait to start 2015 fresh. Why would you choose 2015 as an arbitrary bandage to all problems? Just curious. |
