181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XSN] Stakenet - The World's First Trustless Proof of Stake Coin on: October 29, 2019, 08:07:58 PM
It seems that they already took extra funds from this rise of 30% over night so I think the team have the necessary funds to continue. I was about to gather my first masternode but then the price suddenly rise and now I need extra $ in order to secure it. What do you guys think its better , to stake or to run a masternode ? So far a masternode brings you arpund 10$ per month and the VPS its 4$ so you earn 6$ or to stake it with you open wallet even if you get less coins ?

As Nightcourtfan wrote below you, masternodes at their current state only earns block rewards. Moving forward you'll be earning fee's from the Lightning DEX, and all the other dApps running on the masternode eco-system. Private transactions (using techs like mimblewinble) will probably also be a service hosted by masternodes, and as such will reward them for providing the service. If the DEX takes off by itself, I'm sure these masternodes will be extremely profitable, hence people wants to get in on it, and the price will literally explode - Doesn't happen overnight though, so gotta have some patience Smiley

Patience is my 2nd name haha. I know how to have patience and also make smart investments. I just gather enough funds and started my masternode on nodehub platform which is super stable and never had a problem with them. Well this DEX will sure take off in the next months or maximum 1 year as the roadmap provides a lot of unique solutions for investors so this cannot go off radar without notice. Its true that there a lot of people that got their attention towards Stakenet no wonder why the price tank a little.
Have you taken part in the beta testing? It's starting to look very exciting.

I'd love to beta test, how do I participate in that?  Smiley

New article on why Block DX will give you trading peace of mind.  See how quickly you can get set up in just a few clicks. And if time is important to you, (tl:dr) you only need to spend 30 seconds looking at the first part of this article to be convinced!

https://blocknet.co/its-time-to-stop-learning-lessons-the-hard-way-leave-centralized-exchange-hacks-behind-and-enter-a-world-of-security-and-peace-of-mind-with-block-dx/

Great work Philip. Really awesome article, and it's great to see you guys work so hard on this project. Gives me a lot of confidence in the project moving forward! Keep it up!
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stakenet VS Komodo. Atomic Swaps / Lightning Swaps DEX on: October 28, 2019, 02:29:53 PM
It's surprising how many people in crypto don't know what Lightning swaps are.

If you search for it, you'll get TONS of FUD results though. Lightning is kind of technical (like the rest of the crypto world), so I guess we need so see lightning in real use cases, before people actually start to care that much about it, it's a shame though, since Lightning is such a powerful invention, which will change the way we transact with cryptocurrencies moving forward.
Right now, the only people adopting Lightning are in it for the tech. Everyone who's in crypto for the money - i.e. the vast majority - don't see the incentive just yet.
The projects that do decide to build on Lightning to make it more accessible and profitable... The crypto world is their oyster. No one sees it coming just yet.
Lightning will probably blossom into something quite nice in the near future and it may just take a lot of people by surprise.

True, I believe Lightning will be HUGE moving forward. A great example is a game made as spin off on Fortnite, just running on Lightning instead. Check: Lightnite.io
By playing this game, you can earn actual BTC through gaming, which is something that got's everyones attention. Pretty cool  Grin
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: October 28, 2019, 02:22:32 PM
I don't think so, there has been no significant improvement on DEX this year and I will not expect they will boom easily next year.
With the combined DEX in the market if I am not mistaken, they don't reach at least $100 million in trading volume.

Binance as one of the most popular exchange had launch their DEX, but their trading volume now is just over $1 million although it has 81 verified market at the moment.

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/binance-dex/

Binance's DEX is NOT decentralized, and therefor not even a "DEX" to begin with. It's funny and scary how they continue to fool everyone with their sneaky marketing gimmicks. When all the nodes who verifies the incoming and outgoing transactions is owned by Binance themselves, it fails to be a true DEX I'm afraid.

I believe Stakenet COULD be a game changer since they solve so many different areas at once, that is currently the actual problem with the current solutions.

Speed: Solved with Lightning, which makes transactions virtually instant, with unlimited transactions/s
Liquidity/Volume: The DEX Aggregator will combine multiple DEX order books together benefitting everyone, as it ads a TON of liquidity to the network overall.
Ease of use: Nobody wants any technical solutions, wait for block time confirmations, sync up wallets, etc. The DEX is hosted on a layer of masternodes, holding all the chains on the network, this means you can trade immediately from the get-go.
Fee's: Probably among the cheapest, since Lightning transactions are virtually feeless, the fees involved is however distributed amongst the masternodes who provides the services.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet Price Prediction 2019/2020 - The King Of DEX's. on: October 27, 2019, 12:02:12 AM
Been following Blocknet for a while now, (found it in a discussion on a Facebook Group actually) and it seems like the volume has increased quite nice. Once their Litewallet integration is out, I'm sure there will be more people using the DEX, since it's going to be faster setup process  to trade, without needing to download the full chains, and have all your wallets in sync etc.

Hopefully by next year, DEX's will gain more and more popularity between people who wants to stay anon while trading, which should provide more liquidity and volume to ALL of the DEX's running right now. Wink

Wont predict any price, because I'm usually always wrong anyway, but I'm sure it could return to $50+ eventually due to it's scarce supply.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: October 26, 2019, 11:51:54 PM
As a "regular" blocknet trader I can answer second part of your questions. I am running few unencrypted core wallets on some old notebook with linux. It has only wallets and blockDX installed. With good SSD the performance is acceptable. You need to have all wallets synced on same machine with blocknet (a lot of time, if you start from beginning) and configure blockDX with all that wallets. Especially if you add new, you need to restart every wallet, that is annoying. But! It is working. Devs promising, that you do not need to install core wallets if you use some services (service nodes??), but I do not know any or how to connect to them. Most important for me IT IS FUCKING WORKING! No more KYC, AML, exchange SCAM or trust to someone else. I just hope, blocknet does not have any backdoors or critical bugs  Grin

Thank you for the great deal of very useful information, it's especially comforting to know that the time and effort required to do the setup pays off and this was my main concern. I'm really happy to hear it's working, and can't wait to get my own setup going soon!

Why bother man. People may not recognize the value of their time if they bother setting up wallets and connecting to a dead chain. How many years have it been since XC went belly up? Now how many years have it been since their 3000BTC ICO after which it all came to a halt? Its been 5 years. And these maddish fan boys from 5 years ago are still tottering around, fueling this discussion.

Well, it's gonna be way more user friendly once the Litewallet is out, which will leverage the snode network instead of requiring you to have a copy of the full blockchain yourself like it's required in the current form.

The snode in the DX is basically acting like an extra pair of eyes on things.  The snode has no control over the trades or funds themselves, but tracks the utxos used in trades so that they can't be duplicated elsewhere - subsequently limiting orderbook bloat.  The orderbook itself, however, is maintained and shared by the actual peers/traders themselves.

The snode also provides disaster recovery:  For example let's say a trade fails and you need to reclaim your funds from the p2sh (pay to script hash) - the snode can broadcast the sendrawtransaction to the network for you if you happen to go offline. Wink
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALTCOINS ARE GOING NOWHERE TILL BTC MOVES... prove me wrong on: October 24, 2019, 04:38:55 PM
Truth is, nobody knows WHEN altcoins starts moving, everyone's attention is at BTC currently, and if you look around the crypto communities is pretty much dead. Once the hoard returns, I'm sure we'll see a massive bull run, everything will move again, and the bull run we saw in 2017 will seem like small bump on the road.
That's my prediction anyway.

Regulation, will be tightened, peoples trading histories automatically shared with the IRS, everything will be regulated at some point, hence why DEX solutions seems like the obvious choice for those of us who wants to stay anon.
I'm accumulating Blocknet for this very reason in fact.

Been following this project for a while now, and it seems like it's getting some attention again from a few people. Have seen Block being mentioned on Reddit, Youtube, Facebook and a few other places lately.

Their recent "Word On The Block" announcement covered a LOT of things as well, looking forward to see their AMA today!
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: October 21, 2019, 05:33:32 PM
waiting to see if this rekt one comes back too.  (one good pump, then dead as usual, like most crypto).  promising but i doubt much will come of this anymore lol.

Volume 5x'ed today, which is pretty promising. I predict the price will move towards 15k sat and upwards by the end of the week. Seems like Blocknet is catching peoples attention again, with their intensive work.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could invest in a project with it's own hardware device, WOULD YOU? on: October 19, 2019, 01:11:07 AM
I think HPB is going to replace the top coins.  It has one of the highest TPS and hardware nodes.

With a cold wallet

Stakenet has unlimited transactions/second over the lightning network, Just saying. lol
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stakenet - XSN - The Next 50x Altcoin Out There? on: October 19, 2019, 12:46:26 AM
Looks like a decent project to be honest. Did some research on the project, and found this thread, which actually have a ton of info I didn't seem to be able to find elsewhere.

When is the DEX scheduled for launch? Any date?
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: October 18, 2019, 09:41:26 PM
When is Blocknet gonna be available on a multi currency wallet? Any ETA?

That's what I'm looking forward to the most right now. Smiley

Damn, never seen that picture before. Very interesting, just proof that hype>product right now. Which is gonna change eventually, (like we see right now, shit projects losing 99% of their value). I'm sure BLOCK will yield a huge ROI based on their upcoming developments.

I read this yesterday, and was truly impressed tbh. https://blocknet.co/word-on-the-block-15th-october-2019/
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet - Established In 2014. First DEX on the market. Price predictions? on: October 17, 2019, 06:06:04 PM
Been eyeing BLOCK the last couple of weeks, and really like their progress on development so far, seems like they are taking things really serious, prepping for next years mega moon run (which is gonna happen to BTC block reward halvning).

Excited on their Xrouter capabilities on blockchain interoperability, which is something most people seem to be unaware off at this point. The things that is possible in regards to extracting blockchain data is incredible. Heck, they could even do Oracles, like LINK, yet the marketcap of this project is insanely low.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Blocknet - What do you guys think? (DEX Talk) on: October 16, 2019, 06:47:50 PM
Been lurking around here for ages, never signed up - So yeah, hey everybody, haha. Smiley

Been following Blocknet for a while, since it dipped shortly below $1 it caught my interest since I remember back in 2017, I kicked myself for not investing before the huge run up, (got some decent gains on other projects though, DASH to name one).

Blocknet seems to have climbed down the rankings, but by my recent research, they are still in active devlopment, and after reading their latest dev announcement I was really impressed by how much these guys are working on at the same time.
Don't want to shill the project here too much, as those of you who don't know the project, probably wont care anyway.. But for those of you who actually do, what are your thoughts on this project?

DEX projects popping up everywhere, seems like a "NEW THING", but Block has been around since 2014, probably got one of the most advanced setups, yet nobody talks about them for some reason.

I'd like to know what you guys think, personally believe next year will be a crazy good year due to the BTC halvning, also believe that regulations will be even tighter, making DEX's even more popular.
