Where are the people of this famous community? The community is only about 158 people?  Wink There are 1585 votes now.

Come on .... Let's vote .... https://hitbtc.com/vote

COME ON, GUYS, VOTE FOR BCN!!!

VOTE!!! Sooner the better!!!

I did vote!  Wink

Yes. I'm also interested how smart people estimate the situation.

To my mind today and in the nearest future it is reasonable to mine coins that are
1. Easy to mine
2. Have promising future

Right now I mine BCN and Quazar (33 % and 67 % of my computing power).
I had to sell all my ASICs for BTC, so I don’t mine them anymore obviously.

And I invest some BTC to new coins, I will not advertise them.

It is also clear that most of them will die, but if at least one succeeds, I gain huge profit.

The purpose of investment is good balance between mining and buying.

Agree! Bitcoin has a promising future and the only liquid coin but it is too difficult to mine, better to buy it on exchange.
BCN, meanwhile, is easy to mine and the protocol is much more complicated so it's more anonymous than BTC.

In the past I have invest a lot of money to buy miners for Bitcoins, I've lost more than I won on BTC! Now I see that it' was better to listen to other user advices that it's too late to get in BTC and mine it.

I also mine BCN and QCN as I believe these coins are long living coins

Me too. I also mine BCN and QCN.... and FCN

I am fond of mining coins.  Cheesy

For those who are looking for more reason to invest in Bytecoin, check out this blog post.

http://www.cryptobang.com/2014/07/09/bytecoin/

Good article. It's great there is an explanation how does it work in a few word, so it's easy to understand to the person who doesn't know a lot about crypto currency .

It was a surprise for me to read about dev team. I was thinking they would never expose themselves.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: July 06, 2014, 06:31:28 PM
well, between not sending at all and sending in small amounts the choice is simple Smiley, thus my happy smiles

haha, you're right. That's simple choice. If there is a problem to send in a large amounts better to send in small amounts.

As for me, I usually wait a couple of days and in 99% it works well

Anyone else having trouble transferring bcn? I try to transfer some coins to exchange but they never leave my wallet?

Look at log , find ID of transaction and find is that transaction show in blockchain on Minergate.

But it looks like http://bcn.extremepool.org/# stuck in playmenet: since it grows ... but is not payed Sad

bcn.extremepool.org has no issues.  Payouts are working fine.
there is an issue with the amount you can xfer out of the wallet.

Indeed, I am mining on extreme with 3 minerd's and 2 Claymores - no issues at all.

Have you tried new pool?

Now there is a few people there, in case it's going to be well promoted and there would be more people and no bugs I would probably mine there.

It seems to me that the unique feature it has is that you can mine Fantom unlike Extreme or Minergate
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] What anonymous coin will succed? on: July 05, 2014, 09:41:44 AM
It was BCN b-day yesterday. IMO this confirms that BCN is going to be like Litecoin but based on CryptoNote technology.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bytecoin [BCN] vs MONERO [XMR] who will be the winner in the Cryptonote War on: July 02, 2014, 05:49:02 AM
IMO this dispute will continue forever since there isn't really another comparable example of a coin that remained under the radar for so long except Bitcoin.

I've already made my decision about its premining after lots of statements that were written in BCN thread and I suggest you to do the same.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: July 02, 2014, 05:41:17 AM
Is there no normal windows interface wallet like bitcoin and others have?

I'm fine with the DOS interface. However for mainstream adoption of this coin you will need familiar easy to use wallet for the masses...

That's what I think BCN developers are about to change. The implementations they've already made are significant.
I am pretty sure that in two weeks they are going to surprise us again.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FCN] FantomCoin. CN-based currency with merged mining. LAUNCHED NOW! on: June 30, 2014, 11:04:02 AM
Does Fantomcoin provide complete anonymity as Bitcoin?

Fantomcoin offers anonymous transactions unlike the Bitcoin

I think this statement is provable for every CN-based coin.

I think FCN is the most safest and anonymous coin in compare with Bitcoin. Of course, all CN-based coins provide the same degree of anonymity

+1

I am also started looking at MonetaVerde but IMO Fantomcoin in compare with it is much better. Maybe I think so because I got used to FCN already
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 30, 2014, 10:52:51 AM
What has happen with the guy (wildboy211) who forgot his wallet password?
Has anyone tried to recover his pass?
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 28, 2014, 09:11:02 AM
Finally , CMC removed that unfair two stars of designation they gave to BCN before.

Justice is served!
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: June 27, 2014, 10:24:48 AM
The evidence that confirm it wasn't premined is here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.msg6066486#msg6066486

You can see that the h/r is high enough but not as high as nowadays because the community increased.
Btw, even after DStrange have begun BCN thread there were a few people to know about it.
So, if you were not at the beginning that doesn't mean its premine/instaminem.

192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 26, 2014, 05:36:40 PM
OMG, devs indulge us with improvements. It is really impressive work.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 25, 2014, 06:11:47 PM
BCN devs try all their might to make substantial changes in cryptocurrency.
They've already moves block chain out of RAM, which was really difficult tasks. This confirm that they understand CryptoNote Tech like no other of the developers of other coins.

Of cause they understand cryptonote better as they are the founders. Cryptonote devs told that bcn devs separated from main project to create currency. Thanks to these two teams we have true anonymous transactions and a currency, which has a great potential to become very popular altcoin as well as Litecoin

No doubt cryptonote and bcn developers have made a breakthrough in cryptocurrency world, but I wish they were less secretive so there would  no problem with its reputation. I am so dissatisfied CMC added two stars to BCN as a designation of premining.

That's suck as many people would believe CMC without making research.
Recklessly by CMC listen to the people who have no proof only gossips.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 25, 2014, 04:51:37 PM
I like the new design. The thing that stunned me is why those efforts are made when the site is not mobile friendly? Not using bootstrap will force you to recode it in near future.

I am a person who doesn't care about design but, TBH, I prefer old design and luckily they left the old design too

I like new design - something fresh. Pretty nice interface with good navigation. I also found previous two designs pretty nice but what I didn't like in first design that I needed to turn music off every time I visited their web. At first I liked that music but some times later it began to irritate me.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 24, 2014, 01:28:15 PM
Devs make lots of improvements. This is starting to get big hype. Luckily BCN is long term coin and it's true anonymous, so I am sure  it's going to be mass adopted.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: June 22, 2014, 05:59:17 PM
Thats monero trolls who fud bytecoin.  They displeased that coinmarketcap added BCN to top 10 coins.

I don't know if it's so or not but I can confirm that BCN wasn't ''premined''

There were transactions since 2012, you can check it here - https://minergate.com/blockchain/bcn/block/1

I am sure coinmarketcap has added stars because of the FUD!

I just want to tell monero guys that's ain't cool to play dirty games. Mind your own business and stop spread FUD about bytecoin!

New version is out now ?

Yep, while other coins devs make a little changes BCN devs create something valuable for cryptocurrency

IMO this would cause that more people would mine bytecoin as it's too difficult to rewrite code to their coins
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 18, 2014, 06:39:57 PM
Lets hope other Cryptonote forks dont attempt to get a hold of this and release it as their own. I would really like the hard work from these guys to pay off for them.

Indeed, that's more important than other CMC news. Whose gonna try beta ver?
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 09, 2014, 08:41:42 AM
Bytecoin difficulty has reached its highest value ever: 45,183,198 and steadily growing every hour.
Even on poloniex no one is selling for less than 0.06 per Mil. BCN and where are buy orders for over 10BTC ranging from 0.02 to 0.05 per Mil.

This is a great sign for investors Smiley

My guess is that some part of the BCN community knows that something serious is coming up and they are silently mining as much as possible.
This is probably related to the email DStrange has posted earlier:
https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FGwybaj2.jpg&t=541&c=cuQS7e8tKbgnSw

No doubt, something is coming. Devs promised to add new applications to BCN. I am sure that if there's gonna be some apps they's be great. What if after making gui miner they'd made it possible to mine by phone?

I am sure they are going to bring gui wallet to make it easier in use for new members.
