Hi guys, I have some 300 dash which I could put to some use in a shared MN. Who is the most reputable member of community running these? Sorry if I am asking the obvious; have not been here in a long time Smiley

Woah woah, the price was 0.07$ in January 2016, but at that time i didn't know altcoins existed  Cry (found out in december 2016).As i'm currently hunting for low supply/low price coins, if i had knowledge of existence of Dash in January 2016 i would've bought about 2000 of them (that would cover costs of living for 20 years in Romania with that now)

It certainly was not 0.07$... maybe u mean 7$.

Hi guys, has Dash been accepted by any darkmarket or any similar service?
When it comes to Monero, is aplhabay the only DM platform that accepts them?

DASH is on some dark markets for years. but no one uses them. I am sure you could find infos in this thread or just google net. I think it was several darkmarkets, but with them is hard to know how big are they.

Yep, I know about 2 markets that accepted it in the past. However what counts is the present. I googled and found no DM currently accepting dash, that is why I asked here.

A few weeks ago I was asking about DASH APIs... This is why I needed them for:

It is free and it will remain free:

https://addresswatcher.com/

Monitor up to 500 addresses, supported are Bitcoin, DASH, Ethereum, Litecoin and Doge.

Guys, which other DM outside Alphabay accepted monero? Also, any idea how many vendors on AB accept it or how much is it used over there?
Thinking about investing a bit more into monero but I am afraid of what happens if AB goes down - would there be any other known place to accept monero?

Guys,
is there any DASH API that would give me details of the latest transactions?

I can not see it here: https://explorer.dash.org/q - is there any other good API I could use?
Cheers!

if the good lord had meant us to use the metric system he would have given us meters instead of feet.

Boeing still use the imperial system as far as I'm aware. Seem to work.

Heh - I was just being flippant, but I didn't know that about Boeing. Apparently it's controversial: http://metricviews.org.uk/2007/11/boeing787-grounded/

When to accept change and when to dig in - always a challenge. Dash vs. Darkcoin - the trolls had a field day with that one - I remember "sounds like a laundry detergent", as though that were a terrible thing.

Living in Canada, I got used to metric a few decades back (Trudeau the elder) but some people never made the change and probably paid a price in job opportunities, peace of mind, and so forth. They will die off in time and those going through K-12 here will know only metric as normal.

Patterns, patterns, patterns. History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes. Now about that credit market system.          Wink

Nothing against the rest of the post but Dash indeed sounds like a laundry detergent. I embarked on the darkcoin boat and was not happy with the change. Converted 50% of DRK equity to bitcoin when the re-labeling happened. Still believe with DRK the marketcap today would be much higher.

Would have been great to have the self-governance back then ;-)

196  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-e.com Banned my account with 100k $ on: January 06, 2017, 01:48:04 PM
Well you've got some nerve making a public post thats for sure. BTC-E support pointed me to this thread, most likely my support ticket is the reason for your account being frozen. After you hacked me in september I obviouysly kept an eye on where the stolen Ethereum from my hacked Poloniex account went and when I saw you moved them to BTC-E I filed a support ticket. For those interested you can see his deposit to BTC-E here: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x65ddee5aa4070093a2d1a10dfd9a94603bd017a95101a458a110099c9cb3fbe6

If you trace back where the Ethereum for that deposit came from you'l find various sources (most likely all stolen crypto) among them a withdrawal from Poloniex made by the hacker when he emptied my Poloniex account after hacking my computer. Poloniex will verify my story.

Care to explain how you came across all this Ethereum? You've got some serioius explaining to do.

I also would like to know where my bitcoins are while we're on the topic of you explaining stuff.

Can I ask how your account was hacked? Did you access a malicious website created by the scammer? Do you still remember the URL?

...
I am trying to move funds between 2 addresses and due to malfunctioning dash wallet I can not see GUI so I am only using the console.
...
Mind providing a bit more info about what kind of an issue you have there?

...
I type getbalance and get 1013.

I would like to send 13 coins to another address of mine so I type sendtoaddress "myaddress" 13

However, despite having high enough balance I get "Insuficient funds. (code -4)" error.

Can you tell me what is the problem here? The issue may be related to a fact that I am running a masternode.
Make sure you left some space for fees e.g. try sending 12.99 instead.

He is using an active running masternode wallet.... i just hope he wont accidentally mess up his 1000 Dash input amount and gets his masternode kicked off the network.

Thanks guys, at the end I did not figure out how to select input addresses through command line so i ended up downloading a new Dash client on a new laptop - it was much easier with GUI Smiley

199  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: January 10, 2016, 08:45:11 PM
Newbie question - can anyone explain me why there is a disparity between what I can see on my Satoshidice account and what is visible on the blockchain?

Example:
I deposit 1 BTC to satoshidice on deposit address A and leave the account untouched.
Next day, I can see the balance is correct - still 1 BTC in there but according to blockchain all my deposit
account has already been spent several times.

Then I make a bet - and the result is only shown on website; nothing is shown on the blockchain itself.

I am not afraid of losing anything Grin But why the disparity between blockchain and the website? Has SatoshiDice always worked that way?

Because the balance on your deposit address is a completely different thing than the "balance" shown on the site. When you deposit and it gets confirmed, you get equal value "credits" to use on the site. You are not actually betting tiny bits of BTC somehow each roll, just credits.

Thanks for the clear answer seedtrue, much appreciated.

When looking at https://www.satoshidice.com/stats/#Number-of-Bets we can see that number of blockchain transactions fell dramatically at the end of 2013. Has there been a shift from blockchain transactions, where each bet had its own transaction to the current offchain model, where the users basically bet with credits?

Thanks!

Wow, interesting, thanks for sharing!

The coins are still on bittrex, BUT they are gone out of my multibit wallet ( what was encrypted with a pass, now the encrypt is GONE, so probably he didnt hack the password but just removed the encryption ( respect for that omfg )

Would understand if he got the password from RAM or via keylogger but have no idea how encryption can be removed.. Was not able to find out any evidence this is theoretically possible either  Huh
