I understand actually but it depends on the CEX you’re using, I once posted an article on how to choose your choice of CEX and another thing is “Do not base your investment on people’s opinion or advice always DYOR”
So why are you talking like you have not done your own research? Because if you have done your own research, you will know how centralized platforms are not advisable for staking or investment.

I will advice you to stake on noncustodial wallet instead, if you want daily APR return.

Staking on noncustodial wallet has been in existence since and it as proven to work in Ponzi format as a lot of friends lost money there already. This isn’t an argument anyways, you choose the right CEX and you’re going to enjoy CEX investments.

You are saving coins on a centralized exchange, you are making a very big mistake.

Centralized exchanges means not your key not your coin, until the inconveniences are seen would be when you will know how dangerous it is to save coins on centralized exchanges.

I will prefer to hold bitcoin instead by sending it to my noncustodial wallet for me to have the 💯% control that i want.

Tell us your crypto investment let’s learn from you and tell us which platform you used. Personally have tried out flexible savings; flexible savings gives opportunity to make passive income everyday on your savings based on the percentage allocated to the savings you subscribed for. Also there are APR savings on each newly listed tokens upto and more than 100% depending on how the event goes, these are opportunities you can get if you use flexible savings. Basically this feature is only available on CEX

My reasons for adopting...i think it's meant to be bitcoin but if you actually mean crypto currency then sure.
The no 1 reason why I'm into crypto currency is cause, fiat currency is losing its values every single day. Bitcoin is volatile, sure, but it's way much more better as a store of value than the fiat currency.
Also, I see crypto currency as a revolution, and just by owing a fragment of it, I am also part of this revolution.
Thirdly, it's a really cool asset. We're in the 21st century, and investments just keeps on getting better and better. I'm a futuristic kind of person and I strongly believe that bitcoin investors are going to be the richest in years to come.
These are good points actually, talking about becoming richest set of people, there are some things you need to put into consideration, like the exchange you use to invest, the project itself and the best time to invest.

I simply go in this space because of profit i will get, it intrigue me the most. But later on i see that there are lots of interesting things you can achieve after i gained knowledge financially, security, privacy, supporting the network, etc. I even create simple videos on how-to, blogs, usually for beginner guides, but since it requires lot of dedication to continue and with my work irl, i stopped. But i still give help when some newbie asks, but these were back on those days say 2016-17.
Now, there are lots of tutorials online, people just need guides what is good and bad practice to avoid getting rekt of scammers, hackers, trading experience, investments, etc.

That’s why you must DYOR as a crypto person. You shouldn’t base all your investments on people’s advice. Do your own research, get technical and financial analysis done.

I am sure most of the people know why they are "adopting" crypto currencies. Almost all of them are doing it for the "profit". I doubt right now anyone cares to use it as a regular currency. They all invest with the hope of making some nice profit in the long run. I bet most of them will eventually sell their coins and continue using fiat currency.
Yes, the first why of adopting Bitcoin is profit and have in no small way benefitted from it. I have carried out very few transactions in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but then it is not an everyday occurrence. Why this is so is because the government is yet to adopt it. People in El Salvador use it for daily needs aside profit because of their government's policy.

This is one of the benefits of cryptocurrency

Lately majority of people find theirselves within the crypto space, but many of them do not really understand the actual reasons for adopting crypto currency other than to make profit, what are your own reasons for adopting cryptocurrency?

Yeah, there are few people that does like to use crypto currencies as a regular currency, but that's like 1 in 10 and they have their own reasons. I guess because it is too volatile for which people don't want to use it as a regular currency? Maybe in the future, when there is a clear framework in the usage of crypto currencies and support from the governments, people will be using it as a regular currency because it being so  much better than regular fiat currency.
Many people invest in crypto to generate rapid money. Without a question. There's more underneath, though. Bitcoin has always been first. The issue is that many crypto enthusiasts dream about Lamborghinis and moonshots. When they arrive, they see the big picture.

You claimed 10% use it as money. I understand. It's still the wild west, and uncertainty may be stressful. Imagine buying a cup of coffee for 0.001 BTC today and getting a dinner tomorrow. That's crazy? However, this is happening: Bitcoin is more helpful than it appears. It is digital gold and the future. Fiat? Meh, who knows what'll happen there. With Bitcoin? There are so many opportunities

There are lot of opportunities in the crypto space but we need to understand that there is a need for DD and a very good research.

I think that crypto technology is a business, so one of my goals is to make a profit from it. even a developer of a project also has the main goal of getting profit. Maybe another goal is to be able to understand more deeply about this technology. However, other goals will definitely keep coming, and end in increasing profits. I think that's the main goal of all of this.

Most of us really think this is the reason why we are into crypto. It is really like a business where you are after sales, and the second one is to serve or help your customers, but the main reason is for money. Like in crypto, your second reason would be using it as a payment method, as it is fast, easily seen, and also decentralized. Though there are really few people who are into crypto because of its usage, they are using it on a daily basis, like for payment or sending money all over the world, but again, only a few of them.

Good point here

Lately majority of people find theirselves within the crypto space, but many of them do not really understand the actual reasons for adopting crypto currency other than to make profit, what are your own reasons for adopting cryptocurrency?
To make profit is a reason enough to embrace cryptocurrency. I can also assume that more than 70% of the people who adopted cryptocurrency did so because of profit making. Personally, apart from profit making, another reason why I adopted cryptocurrency is not to miss out on a golden opportunity. Many of us do not actually know the future of bitcoin and cryptocurrency but we are here because we know that the technology is pregnant and it can deliver something spectacular. I am among those.
I even believe that up to 90-99% of people accept cryptocurrencies for profit, because no one hates a lot of money. Those who say they invest in bitcoin or cryptocurrency for its superior features and not for profit are blatantly lying. In today's pragmatic society, money is said to be the most precious and important thing so it would be strange for someone to say they don't need it.

But of course, in addition to making a profit, we will also take advantage of the other features that bitcoin has to offer. For me, the use to store assets is what I like about bitcoin. I still use the bank, but depositing so much money in the bank is something I can't trust.
That is just the truth. If there be set of people who came to bitcoin not because of profit making, it should be the early adopters. Meanwhile if you say it is not because of the profit, what then? Anonymity or privacy? Bitcoin on its own does not offer the above two, you have to be careful not to link your identity to the blockchain to retain your anonymity or use mixers for privacy. Even if Bitcoin has many unique features, I know more than 50% of bitcoiners will leave bitcoin if it was to be made a stable coin.

The truth is it depends on what the intention is, I have a lot of friends that keep USDT just for flexible saving on Bitget so that they can equally make profit, where as USDT is a stable coin too. So people can hold stable coin once they know it has utility.

According my point of view cryptocurrency is most adopting technology due to its uniqe benefits like.
1.It has no need any medium to transfer around the world
2.It has no fear to crush or lost or theft
3.It has no boundries, just have internet and can enjoy benefits of crypto.
There are also many reasons but in future cryptocurrency will be need of common people and government also.

Great, however you need to be smart while choosing the CEX to use
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 22, 2023, 10:02:53 AM
I like to be free and financially independent. Bitcoin and other crypto gives me this freedom.
Yeah' financial independent/freedom entirely is what everyone desires, with fiat money you can be the owner of the money but not in control of how and when it should be spent, but bitcoin gives us both desires where we are owners of our asset and have the financial control over it without any centralized authority putting limitations and policies of regulations. More than that it gives value to our money against any inflationary situations and still keeps us in profit.

Quite great, how did you handle the volatility of the crypto market?

Yea this is a true fact. I feel there is going to be a point where everyone will know about cryptocurrency and that’s gonna be an added advantage that is more than just making profit along because the world is going more digital and we need to keep abreast of the changes in technology.
192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you know about AI trading bot? on: August 09, 2023, 10:44:36 PM
One of the challenges of using a Bot to trade is that it can malfunction in case of a spike or fake-out. Another thing is that when Market Dynamism changes it may not be able to detect this also depends on the program it is functioning with.
I have never made use of an Artificial intelligence trading bot before but I know that any of these bots can give a wrong signal especially when the market is in a volatile market. Bits are created by humans and we don't expect them to have there own flux because there are still on the prospect of becoming amended and getting to the level of accuracy. If a human can trade in the market for many years and still make loses then why not a bot that is built based on some certain mechanism of functions. A bot can have a 90% of accuracy but can not have upto 100%.

Yes you’re right, there can be 90% accuracy due to their good technical analysis.

Over the years my reasons have changed, early on I was just impressed with the technology and being a newbie back then I did not knew much about the extreme movements this market can experience from time to time.

However as time has passed, even if I am still impressed by the technology behind bitcoin, my main reason to hold bitcoin became self-preservation, even if the fiat system could last way past my life expectancy at the same time it is already showing worrying signs, and I do not want to waste all my efforts by keeping my savings in a currency that losses value every day, and as such bitcoin is one of the assets I decided to hold in order to preserve the value of the money I have saved over the years.

That’s impressive

Cryptocurrency was introduced to me by a friend in my service service and in my service I was paid small amount of money for up keeping so he told me that I should saved 50% of my salary in bitcoin every month, though I have been attended seminar before but was not really well taught,so I join the forum to learn more and invested it bitcoin. And this is my reason of adopting bitcoin though they are other factors also compelled me to join the new trend of technology but this is the most convince one. Everyone has their own part to join the cryptocurrency Space. And today, I am very much happy that I am in this family. I have not regret to join crypto space.

Wow that’s superb, I’m glad you’re happy belonging to this family.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 05, 2023, 01:53:51 PM
Pls not all cryptocurrency has the potential  for one to adopt so you need to be specific  and use the word bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a biggest cryptocurrency but it is not the only cryptocurrency so I see it is fine to discuss about cryptocurrency adoption generally. Bitcoin needs altcoins too even many altcoins are scam. The cryptocurrency market should not have only Bitcoin and altcoins are necessary for the market.

Quote
My reasons for adoption of bitcoin is that.

1. It gives financial freedom and can be used across boarders without a third party.
People will have control of their bitcoin if they use non custodial wallets. If they use custodial wallets from like exchanges, gambling sites, they will not control their bitcoin.

No control, no chance to have financial freedom because they can lose their bitcoin, capital anytime.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

Quote
2. I also use it as an investment and a store of value. As an investment, you will see it that bitcoin is the most valuable investment that one can make a good profit from, if you can hodli you bitcoin for a long term. For store of value, because fiat is depreciating in value daily due to inflation but bitcoin is inflation resistance.
Consider Bitcoin as an investment asset and as a store of value is the same. You should not invest in Bitcoin if you see it is not a store of value. Bitcoin itself is inflationary because new bitcoins will appear with each new Bitcoin block.

There are already 19,444,675 BTC mined by miners and already exist in Bitcoin circulating supply.

The curve starts to be flattened out and not many bitcoin will be mined from new blocks in future.
Quote
3. Bitcoin is the future gold because soon people that have bitcoin will be the richest or most wealthy people in the world as long as they only keep on accumulating their bitcoin.
Not all people who have bitcoin can become rich, millionaires or billionaires. It depends on how many bitcoins they have.

Seeing a lot of information right in your reply, he doesn’t even know there are lots of project that can yield good profit.

That’s true though but there are other cryptocurrency projects worth investing on, actually when you DYOR you will get more information, there is no need to get information from people, just DYOR.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 05, 2023, 01:43:29 PM
the reason I adopted cryptocurrencies was because I was looking for extra money, so that my economy could progress, but of course, of course, everyone has almost the same goal as me, which is to make profits and in my opinion, that's my only reason and I can't say anything else.

I hope you’re lucky to make a good choice of exchange, that’s one important thing you have to do once you have a good profit making intention and DYOR at all time, you can get opportunities from trading too and if you can’t trade you can adopt copy trading style where you copy professional traders trade and make profit few exchanges like Bitget has such feature though they’re centralized exchanges.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 05, 2023, 01:39:40 PM
Most people, even you, know that their sole purpose in investing in cryptocurrency is to earn profit. There are only a few people that use it to transact or make payments online, but the majority of people invest in it so that they can get profit. It is such an effective investment that the possibility of gaining a huge profit is huge in the next few years. Even for myself, this is my purpose, and the secondary is trying to pay using it online, but mostly before I join your cryptocurrency space, this is really my purpose.

Actually you’re right most of us really invest to make profit, one of the major reason why at every point in time I’m always staying the volatile market to know the next action that will yield profit.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 05, 2023, 01:35:31 PM
the reason why I adopting cryptocurrency is to avoid inflation. I feel that it is not fair when my money value decrease only because government print more money as they want. I was working and save money to keep me life. and once they print more money, my hardwork becomes less worthy. for me it is better to save some of my money in form of bitcoin although it volatile but I am experienced enough to make a good strategy to invest in btc.

That’s a very good point, did you trade?

You are asking people here what are their main reason but telling them less understanding? what will you do if that is their reason? or sole reason for that sense? yeah there are many ways to deal in crypto but it is what they wanted?
that is their money and that is their decision.
if you wanted to extend yours such as HODLING or TRADING or Using as payment option then that is yours., but don't questions our reason like me , that i actually been using crypto for paying but depending in the season and depend in my capacity .
so yeah we can have each ways of dealing cryptocurrencies .

I never mean harm actually, I’m just trying to let newbies in the crypto space have things to reckon on once they come here to gather ideas. One thing you need to know is you need direction to prevail and places like this is where you can get plus the fact that you have DYOR.
