I think that crypto technology is a business, so one of my goals is to make a profit from it. even a developer of a project also has the main goal of getting profit. Maybe another goal is to be able to understand more deeply about this technology. However, other goals will definitely keep coming, and end in increasing profits. I think that's the main goal of all of this.

I am sure most of the people know why they are "adopting" crypto currencies. Almost all of them are doing it for the "profit". I doubt right now anyone cares to use it as a regular currency. They all invest with the hope of making some nice profit in the long run. I bet most of them will eventually sell their coins and continue using fiat currency. Yeah, there are few people that does like to use crypto currencies as a regular currency, but that's like 1 in 10 and they have their own reasons. I guess because it is too volatile for which people don't want to use it as a regular currency? Maybe in the future, when there is a clear framework in the usage of crypto currencies and support from the governments, people will be using it as a regular currency because it being so  much better than regular fiat currency.

Yea this is a true fact. I feel there is going to be a point where everyone will know about cryptocurrency and that’s gonna be an added advantage that is more than just making profit along because the world is going more digital and we need to keep abreast of the changes in technology.

I like to be free and financially independent. Bitcoin and other crypto gives me this freedom.

Yeah' financial independent/freedom entirely is what everyone desires, with fiat money you can be the owner of the money but not in control of how and when it should be spent, but bitcoin gives us both desires where we are owners of our asset and have the financial control over it without any centralized authority putting limitations and policies of regulations. More than that it gives value to our money against any inflationary situations and still keeps us in profit.

According my point of view cryptocurrency is most adopting technology due to its uniqe benefits like.
1.It has no need any medium to transfer around the world
2.It has no fear to crush or lost or theft
3.It has no boundries,just have internet and can enjoy benefits of crypto.

Most of us really think this is the reason why we are into crypto. It is really like a business where you are after sales, and the second one is to serve or help your customers, but the main reason is for money. Like in crypto, your second reason would be using it as a payment method, as it is fast, easily seen, and also decentralized. Though there are really few people who are into crypto because of its usage, they are using it on a daily basis, like for payment or sending money all over the world, but again, only a few of them.

To make profit is a reason enough to embrace cryptocurrency. I can also assume that more than 70% of the people who adopted cryptocurrency did so because of profit making. Personally, apart from profit making, another reason why I adopted cryptocurrency is not to miss out on a golden opportunity. Many of us do not actually know the future of bitcoin and cryptocurrency but we are here because we know that the technology is pregnant and it can deliver something spectacular. I am among those.

I even believe that up to 90-99% of people accept cryptocurrencies for profit, because no one hates a lot of money. Those who say they invest in bitcoin or cryptocurrency for its superior features and not for profit are blatantly lying. In today's pragmatic society, money is said to be the most precious and important thing so it would be strange for someone to say they don't need it.

But of course, in addition to making a profit, we will also take advantage of the other features that bitcoin has to offer. For me, the use to store assets is what I like about bitcoin. I still use the bank, but depositing so much money in the bank is something I can't trust.

That is just the truth. If there be set of people who came to bitcoin not because of profit making, it should be the early adopters. Meanwhile if you say it is not because of the profit, what then? Anonymity or privacy? Bitcoin on its own does not offer the above two, you have to be careful not to link your identity to the blockchain to retain your anonymity or use mixers for privacy. Even if Bitcoin has many unique features, I know more than 50% of bitcoiners will leave bitcoin if it was to be made a stable coin.

The truth is it depends on what the intention is, I have a lot of friends that keep USDT just for flexible saving on Bitget so that they can equally make profit, where as USDT is a stable coin too. So people can hold stable coin once they know it has utility.

Yes, the first why of adopting Bitcoin is profit and have in no small way benefitted from it. I have carried out very few transactions in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but then it is not an everyday occurrence. Why this is so is because the government is yet to adopt it. People in El Salvador use it for daily needs aside profit because of their government's policy.

Many people invest in crypto to generate rapid money. Without a question. There's more underneath, though. Bitcoin has always been first. The issue is that many crypto enthusiasts dream about Lamborghinis and moonshots. When they arrive, they see the big picture.

You claimed 10% use it as money. I understand. It's still the wild west, and uncertainty may be stressful. Imagine buying a cup of coffee for 0.001 BTC today and getting a dinner tomorrow. That's crazy? However, this is happening: Bitcoin is more helpful than it appears. It is digital gold and the future. Fiat? Meh, who knows what'll happen there. With Bitcoin? There are lot of opportunities in the crypto space but we need to understand that there is a need for DD and a very good research.

My reasons for adopting...i think it's meant to be bitcoin but if you actually mean crypto currency then sure.
The no 1 reason why I'm into crypto currency is cause, fiat currency is losing its values every single day. Bitcoin is volatile, sure, but it's way much more better as a store of value than the fiat currency.
Also, I see crypto currency as a revolution, and just by owing a fragment of it, I am also part of this revolution.
Thirdly, it's a really cool asset. We're in the 21st century, and investments just keeps on getting better and better. I'm a futuristic kind of person and I strongly believe that bitcoin investors are going to be the richest in years to come.

But i still give help when some newbie asks, but these were back on those days say 2016-17.
Now, there are lots of tutorials online, people just need guides what is good and bad practice to avoid getting rekt of scammers, hackers, trading experience, investments, etc.

These are good points actually, talking about becoming richest set of people, there are some things you need to put into consideration, like the exchange you use to invest, the project itself and the best time to invest.

That’s why you must DYOR as a crypto person. You shouldn’t base all your investments on people’s advice. Do your own research, get technical and financial analysis done.

I think using the word cryptocurrency to describe bitcoin and the other numerous coins seems vague and misleading. Personally, I was much later I heard the word cryptocurrency as I was already using Bitcoin for payments in various businesses that accept Bitcoin. So it will not be out of place to paraphrase the question to read What is your reason for adopting bitcoin.

I am posting this because people have so much used the word cryptocurrency to lure unsuspecting people into buying shitcoins and this gives a general bad image for other genuine and amazing coin like bitcoin. So, if we can draw the line and make some clarifications like calling whatever coin it is by their name, I think it will help.

But to be real one of the reasons why people adopt cryptocurrency is because of the profit in it. Just imagine if cryptocurrency was  without a value to make profit people wouldn't have consider to adopt cryptocurrency.  So if people see the benefits of cryptocurrency which is risky and can also profit can be made if the right process of investment should be followed I don't see it wrong because people go for because to make profit. For sure, people are looking for what will make the financial life stable and if they see that bitcoin or cryptocurrency can give them what they want they will surely adopt it.

Buy let's be real their are profit in cryptocurrency just that some people go about it in the wrong way and if cryptocurrency was something that has nothing to do with value we all wouldn't have been into it at the first place.

Being here for profit is not a bad thing and it will never be. We have our own reasons why we are having courage to invest in anything we think would be profitable. I've seen many people in this forum being so passionate about this blockchain but for sure we all know we won't spend our holdings on a daily basis. Saying how you love this industry's advantages won't make it better. It still has limitations and there's nothing wrong just being practical of it. It would be easy to say you want to encourage other to use crypto as a mode of payment but if you yourself hesitates to do so, simply because you don't want to miss the opportunity to earn profit by holding, that is indeed hypocrissy.

This industry is still in progress of development and by any means we are using it depends on ourselves solely. We could have different reasons and ways of using this blockchain, that's how free we are.

I have tried to adopt cryptocurrency for a few reasons because I think it will not bring much good for those who are behind in technology in today's world. Because hard money will not exist in the future. On the other hand, the new generation is very enthusiastic about cryptocurrency and it has gained acceptance everywhere in the world and has the advantage of transacting without any third party. Moreover, it has given financial freedom to people in terms of investment. It has also gained high praise for easy and fast payments. Well we can't deny that most of the people here in the crypto industry, their main reason to learn and have knowledge is for sure to have an advantage of decentralized and volatile situation of the crypto. So in short, we all are aiming to earn money and profit as well. I don't know what could be the other reason for some people than earning or profit but in my case, I also want to secure my future by just simply investing or holding Bitcoin. Why?

We all know that the inflation keep rising and rising every year so instead of the money being less valuable due than the market's price.
