I dont think a hardfork for this will do anything other than damage the coin at present.

We are only @13% I would suggest waiting until closer to 50% before forking, that give plenty of time to get new people involved, and will make the coin rare with only 50% to go with a time fork.

But no way should we make people fork again so soon after the last one.......

This is a good point as well.  Constantly hard forking will definitely not convey a sense of stability which is what LiteDoge is sorely lacking.

It should be done, but timing needs to be right.  I guess that gives us plenty of time to come to a solid consensus on final specifications, and possibly the dev team will be able to narrow down what the issue with changing block times is.  More time to collect juicy stakes too. Smiley

For the record, my vote is to keep the current reward schedule, but up the block time to 90-120 seconds.  If 90 seconds is chosen as the block time, possibly drop final reward to 4,000-5,000 coins.

That sounds great!  But not anytime soon.  The high rewards will get others interested... they just better get some fast!  But yes... closer to 50% sounds about right for the next fork.  We absolutely should not do that now.  We need stability... and at some point in the future, a drastic decrease in minted coins.  That will happen.

This all sounds good.  We should keep an open dialogue going here as we have some time before making any decisions/changes that require a hard fork.  Everyone is welcome to comment on this as it is all of our coin.  The devs will only make core changes to the coin with a majority of support from the community.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - such Community coin | no premine | very fast | much profit on: July 28, 2015, 04:30:00 AM
I want to know how much i got a coin?

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

LOL..
Do you happen to know what happen to people whom buy cois and eat food?

P.S. Normally I would sent this to maincoin, but since he is out. This is a nice feature for the LiteDoge:
http://getprypto.com/shop/

Maybe one of the team members could contact hem.

I've been meaning to PM him to see if I can get the details on the dev for the web wallet he had mentioned.  I am assuming you are looking at the custom scratch cards at the shop?  It would be a cool little promo item, but it is 2.5 BTC for 1000 of them.  It feels like if we did raise 2.5 BTC, we could find a better use for those funds.  Not sure what maincoin has to do with it either?

I suggest new lower block rewards structure:

Block 190,000 — 234,999: 26,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 235,000 — 279,999: 22,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 280,000 — 324,999: 18,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 325,000 — 369,999: 14,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 370,000 — 414,999: 10,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 415,000 — 459,999: 8,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 460,000 — 504,999: 6,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 505,000 — 549,999: 4,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 550,000 — 594,999: 3,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 595,000 — 639,999: 2,000 LiteDoge Reward

Block 640,000 — +          : 1,000 LiteDoge Reward (low to ensure future of coin - can also be made 1500)

Note: Block Reward change at "Block 235,000" from current Reward Structure (approx. 6 weeks time)

In my opinion, LiteDoge would be better off just keeping the current reward structure, but changing the block time to 2 minutes.  This would immediately slash inflation in half with the added bonus of less orphans.  Forking to make a drastic reduction in the inflation rate always reeked of desperation to me.  Changing the block time just feels fairer and looks better but has the same effect.  Your proposed final block reward of 1,000 also is a bit too low IMO.  With the current scheduled final block reward of 6,000 and a 2 minute block time, 4.32 million LDOGE would be created every day forever.  That sounds about right to me.  If anything drop it to 5,000 just because it's a much more psychologically satisfying number.

I know that changing the block time was the thing that didn't make it into the last fork.  No offense to the current devs, but if outside help is needed to ensure the next fork works flawlessly, it would be a good idea to employ some and I and surely others would donate to that cause.

We were trying to move the block time to 90-94 seconds per block, which would have cut inflation by 1/3.  In regard to having outside help, no offense taken.  We are always willing and open to outside help and if anyone with experience would like to help we would welcome them with open arms.  I am new to this and am doing my best, but am learning as I go so any help would be appreciated.  If anyone wants to help out, please PM me.  We want great things for this coin and if no one else helps out, we will figure it out, but it may take a little longer than many here would like.  I know this is not ideal, but I don't want to sugarcoat anything.  Nonetheless, we will be working hard to make this coin better regardless of how long it takes.  We are not going anywhere.

Do someone has got the some problems withdrawing LDOGE from YoBit? I am waiting since over 16 hours. It says the transaction has been processed, but i have not got any LDOGEs.

I withdrew about 20 minutes ago and it showed up at my local wallet almost immediately.  I would suggest contacting them about your issue.

I learned what happened and I feel maincoin is right. But the community should not be punished for dev's action.

The site is back online since I paid for it. When the hosting expires it will be redirect to the official site.

Let's hope for the best.

Thanks bitrev!  You are a good person.  The community definitely should not suffer because of whatever happened (I am not sure what it was, and only hope that I had nothing to do with it).  We want the community to thrive and the only way to do so is for active involvement and majority agreements on where this coin should be headed.

The pool at wbb.miningalts.com is shutting down.

Thanks to all who have mined there   Smiley

There are better options out there anyway, so it will not exactly be missed.  As all funds have been withdrawn by users (minus some dust) the pool will be shut down immediately.

Dev -- Please remove the link from the OP.

Thanks!

what happend to the market of CC on exchanges did you guys stop making hype of the coin and promised 3digits trading price?

The original dev disappeared some time ago.  Any promises made were by him and not kept.  The community is working to resurrect the coin.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - such Community coin | no premine | very fast | much profit on: July 10, 2015, 07:13:35 PM
That said, there are still some good people here.  I haven't seen d57heinz, Bitrev, Crunck, or Ctgiant chime in lately, so I don't know if they are officially in or out.

I am here.  Real life has just gotten in the way for the past week so I haven't had too much time to work on the coin but I have kept up to date with everything here and will continue to contribute to this coin.

I have no doge in the fight really. I have only 7 mil LDOGE or something like that. I don't have any money on the line. I'm trying to help in any small manner I can so that I can help be a part of something special.

If the 2 sat wall stays long enough, I'll slowly eat through it myself. It may take a VERY long time, only picking up something like 50-100k LDOGE a day, but I'll get there  Cheesy Cheesy I may need 9 lives like a cat to fully get through the wall.

I have no interest in this drama. It's unfortunate that whatever took place - took place. But I see potential here, and I like potential  Cool

Well said.  I got involved in this coin because I liked the community and see potential for this coin.  The community has evolved several times since the coin's launch, but there are still some great people here who want to help the coin and be involved in a community that has an overwhelmingly positive attitude.  So I say lets get back to having a good time with this coin, refrain from personal attacks (I know that this is a lot to ask for BCT, but hey why not) and forge ahead.

If anyone with considerable C++ and coin dev skills would like to join the dev team we would appreciate that.  I am only just barely a dev, but can compile wallets and can google issues with the best of them (not much of a dev in that case I realize, but full transparency has always been my motto and helping this coin is what I am about).   That being said we have a very active community who is also willing to step up to the plate and donate LDOGE for added features and functionality to the wallet.  Any help would be welcome.  If you would like to join team LDOGE and become a dev please PM me here or join freenode's IRC channel and voice your interest in helping out.  Most of the dev hang out there and would happily start a serious conversation with you about joining the cause.

Edit:  the IRC channel is #litedoge

Congrats man! Hope he is healthy and well.

@devs
Which featurs can we expect in the next release
1. Blocktime to 90 sec
2. Built-in explorer
Some of the features sockpuppetaccount proposed would be perfect
3. Multisend
4. Another idea for a bounty would be to implement the multisend feature from HYP and HBN into litedoge.  It allows you to automatically send a specified portion of your stake reward every time you mine a block to whatever address you specify.

Can you do this Devs?

I think we need to hold off on #1 since it's complicated to get exchanges to update their wallets. C-cex is still haven't update theirs from the last one. Any feature without a hard fork will add value to Ldoge and inflation might not be as bad as it's going down gradually.

I would have to agree with this, even for the exchanges that have updated their wallets...they will not be happy if we require another hard fork in the near future.

Regarding C-Cex - I contacted them the day of the hard fork and asked them to update their wallet, even after they delist so that our community members could recover their coins.  They have yet to respond.  If/When they get back to me I will let everyone know.

Node is going up now.

IRC channel is active, and IRC Tip Bot is back online

EDIT node is now up

addnode=192.161.48.34

or open console in wallet and type

addnode 192.161.48.34 add

You can also add my server, which should be on the correct chain...it has been running mostly continuously since launch: 198.245.50.213

Edit:   Just some useful information: My server's block height and local wallet's block height are the same, and are very different from the tipbot's.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - such Community coin | no premine | very fast | much profit on: July 01, 2015, 03:08:03 AM
Very good work with the fork, but I do hope you integrate the block time part soon. Too much inflation is bad.

The bounties look also good. I will donate for the payment plugins this tomorrow.

Implementing the block time part will be something in the future.  It will cause another hard fork and we do not want to do that again too soon.  We do want to change it at some point in the not too distant future though.

I also agree about the bounties....they are a great idea that will get many more involved and behind LDOGE Smiley

Looks like cex is on the wrong chain. Can anyone confirm that they can withdraw from CEX?

I sent them a support ticket yesterday asking them to update.  Hopefully they will get around to it soon if they have not done so already.

on 5-25 i sent all my ldoges to my v1 old wallet...  I just now updated to the newest wallet... looks like i only lost a few million coins.

When did this fork happen?

The fork occurred on 2015-06-29  at 13:00:00 UTC.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - such Community coin | no premine | very fast | much profit on: June 30, 2015, 05:05:31 AM
I notice something in the working wallet right now

every time the network weight is above 3B the expected time to get reward is dramatically decreases

Like in my case my normal time is vary between 8 to 11 hrs  but when the network weight is above 3B  it vary from 30 min to 1 hr

so if any one notice this could confirm and we bring it to the Devs to avoid this in the new wallet

Thanks for letting us know...I have also noticed that it drops significantly at some point, so having some idea about when is helpful.  We will look into this moving forward.  Sorry that it took so long to respond to this although I did see it when you originally posted, but we have been focusing on releasing a working wallet for the fork.  Fixing things that would not hinder the fork were secendary at the time.  Now that it has been completed and we no longer have deadline for fixed we can spend time looking into bugs such as this as well as wallet enhancements.

If anyone else finds bugs in the wallet please do not hesitate to post here or add to issues at the bitbucket site here: https://bitbucket.org/ctgiant/litedoge/issues?status=new&status=open  The top right has a button where you can create an issue.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - such Community coin | no premine | very fast | much profit on: June 30, 2015, 03:54:28 AM
uninstalled everything and started over, wallet was empty, b4 this tx.  syncing now, will give update when it gets current.

but, yes it was post fork version, I even received Ldoge  there right b4 i sent the missing one, so unsure of what the issue is

if it is a bittrex transaction that has not been completed wait 24hours and then contact them.  They are good about fixing such situations.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - such Community coin | no premine | very fast | much profit on: June 30, 2015, 03:53:17 AM
Looks like everything went fine today. I'm upgraded and staking as we speak.
Reminder to all, only download clients (especially windows) from OP or official sources.

DON'T CLICK DOWNLOAD LINKS FROM QUOTED POSTS!!!! NUMEROUS MALWARE ATTACKS AND STOLEN COINS IN OTHER COMMUNITIES HIDDEN IN MODIFIED QUOTED POSTS.

To that end, how about official releases stamped with PGP encryption so we can verify hashes?

Well done all!

Excellent reminder!  I'd also like to add... don't forget to encrypt your wallet!  Regarding official releases, there is only ONE official source and that is https://bitbucket.org/ctgiant/litedoge/downloads.

Actually, the 2nd link on the OP points to my dropbox and contains the same file exactly, it is safe to use either of them.

thanks for the info...heavensopen can be trusted, but if you don't trust him, or me for that matter, please run virus scan with virustotal.com to ensure wallet is secure and free of malware/viruses.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - such Community coin | no premine | very fast | much profit on: June 29, 2015, 10:49:35 PM
well the coins i transferred after the fork are lost in the limbo. Damn!

Did you transfer them from the broken(3.1.1.1) new wallet? or were they transferred from an exchange?

From an exchange to the new broken wallet to enable staking. And the latest version of the wallet has kept the addresses.

As MinerFTW just said, the new wallet is up and running at bittrex as of a few minutes ago, so if you don't get your withdrawal soon, then open up a ticket.  They will help you out if it comes to that
