If anyone wants to try out joblo's optimized miner, cpuminer-opt (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326803) for windows 64-bit with hmq1725 support, I managed to build it after making a few source code changes and removing the hodl algorithm.  I have only tested it with a couple of sandybridge cpus and only with hmq1725 so it may be a bit buggy, but I thought I'd share it with our community.

If you want to be a test subject you can download it from here: https://github.com/ctgiant/cpuminer-opt/releases/download/v3.2.5/cpuminer-opt.zip

Doesn´t work with a X5660 -> Appcrash

New installed Server 2012 R2 with all updates.

Thanks for the info.  Are you trying to solo mine or pool mine?  Solomining seems to cause a core dump.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt, New v3.2.5 on: May 27, 2016, 05:14:55 AM
Why not publish the compiled version?

If you mean Windows it's because it won't compile in Windows. If you mean Linux you get
better performance compiling yourself.

What algo are you working on now?

None at the moment, hmq1725 was last adddition and lyra2v2 the last optimization.

I got your miner working on windows..had to remove the hodl algo and make some code changes, but it is working on my sandybridge cpu...I've only tested the hmq1725 algo so I am not sure if I broke anything while getting it to compile, but it is working well.  In order to get it to work for both windows and linux I would need clean up my changes a bit.  I also couldn't get it compiled statically, so it needs to be run with the dll's in tow.

I just thought you might be interested to know that it can compile on windows.  If you want to discuss let me know and I'll get back to you.

That's great news, yes please discuss, I have many questions.

If HMW1725 works then many other algos such as x11, quark etc will work.
Hodl is a special case and so are a few other unique algos but I think I'll be able to work it out.
Can't wait to see the source.

I only made small changes other than not using hodl.  I set up a github so that you could see what the changes were.  Here is the commit to my repo with the changes detailed: https://github.com/ctgiant/cpuminer-opt/commit/1aa77613bc835d0693eef29084d888fa920002f0

I should also note, just so you know, it was built with mingw-w64-x86_64.

mingw, even better, no messing around with vstudio. Thanks.

No problem...if anyone wants to test it I posted the executable and DLL's here: https://github.com/ctgiant/cpuminer-opt/releases/download/v3.2.5/cpuminer-opt.zip

Just use gui wallet.

I would if the source was released...not all of us run windows Smiley

GUI wallet source

Maybe we could have a paper wallet for Espers?

https://walletgenerator.net/

Btw if you check Coin Information of Espers on Cryptopia they have set it as scrypt algo Huh

I saw your question and went right to work on this one....I have made the necessary changes and submitted a pull request to have espers added to walletgenerator.net

How do you put the coins into deposits?  Can you do it from the command line interface or do you need the GUI wallet for this functionality?

Only 5 hours left for paid voting - I spent 50,000 DOT already :\

anyone else wanna go in? That'd clinch a listing for sure, and a lot quicker than waiting 30 days  Tongue

Already did 66 times we are first now!!

Awesome - wish I hadn't done paid voting now (which was closer to 40,000 DOT, not 50,000 i lied) since you can only choose one coinvote a day.  Spending some karma would have been easier, but oh well Smiley

No problem...I personally just spent 163,000 DOT and we are now in first place by 1 DOT.  It is up to the community to keep us there for the next 4 hours.

When it will be possible to mining a graphics card?

You already can with AMD cards.  There is a custom made sgminer that was released last week.

The source code is available here: https://github.com/CryptoCoderz/sgminer_HMQ1725
The Windows release is available here: https://github.com/CryptoCoderz/sgminer_HMQ1725/blob/master/release/sgminer_build_HMQ1725.zip?raw=true

We are still waiting on ccminer for nVidia cards to be finished and released.  Once it is it should be posted in the thread as well as in the OP.

I should also note to anyone that was trying to mine with their integrated Intel Graphics cards that you cannot mine with them.  Intel never released a devkit for their cards, so no program can be compiled to use them.

I'm mining with my NVIDIA 970M with no issues

I didn't clarify.  You can mine with nvidia with sgminer, but you will not get anywhere near the hashrate that you will with ccminer when it is released.

I found the market for ESP

https://empirex.ch/Market?pair=ESP/BTC
https://empirex.ch/Market?pair=ESP/LTC
https://empirex.ch/Market?pair=ESP/DOGE
https://empirex.ch/Market?pair=ESP/STEPS

I think this new market and I could not give a rating / recommendation.
whether people here already that trading in this market?

i lost 0.0187BTC in novaexchange, so i advice you to avoid this exchange.

This is a brand new exchange that just announced today.  Here is a link to their ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1466660

As always, and especially with new markets, trade at your own risk and never leave more on an exchange then you are willing to lose.

I have built the wallet from Github source on Linux ... so do I need to pull and recompile to update the wallet, or does it auto-update? Do I have to make a backup of certain folders to secure my funds, and which folders?
Let me ask that question again because it was dismissed during the Nova riots...  Wink
you do not need to compile the auto-updater source. you can simply download the base of each version we release. the auto-updater is mainly for people who dont want to constantly download updates.
As far as backups the only file that really matter is (other then the config if you changed it) is the Wallet.dat located in espers "%appdata%" folder if you have that wallet.dat you will likely never lose your funds.
The dat file is the most important file for any wallet. i recommend keeping a copy in a an offline backup like a thumb drive as well as one that is zipped somewhere.

There is currently no auto-updater for any platform other than windows.  If you initally got the update from github using the git clone command, you can pull down the latest update by using git pull and then go into the source folder and make clean -f makefile.unix && make -f makefile.unix.  If you downloaded it as a zip then download again and recompile the new source.

The only item that you need to back up is wallet.dat in the ~/.Espers folder.

I wouldn't wast my time or energy trying to mine with sgminer using nVidia cards.  You will not get a good hashrate.

Hopefully the ccminer version is coming soon.  I've been working on one, but I have never worked on modifying a miner before.  I got it working to some extent, but it gets far too many rejects, so I gave it to the rest of the dev team to work on.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: May 07, 2016, 03:10:33 AM
if anyone has any good settings feel free to share them, im trying to figure it out now, and will share as soon as i get it working.

So far this

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0

setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100

 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

sgminer.exe  --kernel hmq1725 -o stratum+tcp://esp.suprnova.cc:3451 -u jacquescc.1 -p 1111 -I 15  -w 128 -g 2

Gives me 736kh on r9 390x and 480kh on r9 280x

If youre pc becomes slow lower the intensity

Nope no such luck like you. I still get half my cpu speed and its really laggy lol.

Not geting any luck tried a few different settings including this one.
I get this:

[13:04:09] Startup GPU initialization... Using settings from pool esp.suprnova.c
c.
[13:04:09] Startup Pool No = 0

Any tips?

I'm getting that too on a really old AMD.  Tried on an HD 6950.  I'm thinking that the card is too old or the driver is too new, otherwise I have no idea and could use some help too.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: April 28, 2016, 07:30:03 PM

at the configure step do this:
Code:
./configure --with-curl --with-crypto CFLAGS="-march=native"

Thanks!!! Working on the machine when compile the miner but not work other machine. What will I do that miner works on any PC?

The miner has to be built on each linux based machine that you want to run it on.  It requires all dependencies to have been installed locally.  Currently there is no static binary that you can move from one linux machine to another.  For the Windows build, there is and it can be found in the OP.

Hm! Run miner with minerd -a quark -o stratum+tcp://pool -u user -p password. But i can't see hashrate.

Once again for everyone, this is NOT a quark coin.  It is a different algo: HMQ1725.  You need a miner capable of mining this algo.  OCMiner has created one and graciously posted his source code here: https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-hmq1725

If you would like to download the windows complied version, which BTC User Vorksholk kindly compiled and posted, you can either download it here: http://1.curecoinmirror.com/cpuminer-hmq1725.zip or from OCMiner's Pool here: http://www.suprnova.cc/downloads/cpuminer-hmq1725.zip

Since OCMiner put this miner together quickly it uses the -a quark command, but it really is hashing the HMQ1725 algo.

How can i import wallet date to another pc? downloaded updated client, but can't seem to find a way to fuse their data.

You can either:
Copy the wallet.dat file from %APPDATA%\Espers\wallet.dat on the old machine to the new one.  When doing this, close both Espers clients.  Once done and you open up the new wallet, you will see your address there.

Export and then import your private key(s) through the console in the debug window.
