181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Bitcoin Technology. on: July 17, 2020, 09:57:24 PM
Cryptocurrency is really bring with it so many changes. Most especially the banks will be worried that cryptocurrency is now creating a means for people to bypass their services, they are really not going to be happy with this if they should see the population shifting towards, since the transactions we make is their means of making income, they charge us card fees, check fees and other fees, which is their way of earning money. Now cryptocurrency is changing that. And as for the government, I don’t know what kind of way this is going to influence it.

Moreover, for those "futures", we might need to wait a bit which could be longer than we do imagine. I am just speculating based on what most governments are doing against cryptocurrencies and how most common people are still expecting their government to take initiative on cryptos so that they will adopt it with zero risk. That is not the way a decentralized environment needs to be working. You must understand the power of decentralization and then adopt it regardless of what your family/employer/government says about it.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oldest scam in the book can help you make money on: July 17, 2020, 05:36:11 AM
To be sincere, the poster has got a point here lol. Even as a newbie I was always sceptic about things that talks about money.
I can remember a lot of people who would come through my DM on Facebook then and be talking about some schemes they claim will help me make if I put money them.

I usually question the strategy, and I ask myself a lot of questions before anything, and I don’t forget my friend Google, was always helpful in those days; although even I didn’t have to do research, I don’t think I was ready to put penny in a anything. People have to be careful and not be in a hurry to make money all the time.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Twitter hacked on: July 16, 2020, 08:38:11 PM
I also saw the tweet on Twitter, wasn’t on Elon Musk page, but on Bill Gates’ Twitter and I didn’t need anyone to tell me that his account was hacked and it was a scam. Later I got to discover through the media that it wasn’t just Elon Musk and Bill Gates, a lot of celebrities were hacked and that includes Kanye West and his wife Kim, Joseph R. Biden Jnr., Barack Obama, and others.

And of course there were lots of people that fell for it, I got to learn that the hackers received around $100,000.People should know that celebrities can’t do this kind of sh*t, telling you to send $1000 to receive double lol. It’s time they learn to be careful.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin soon will become a boring investment? on: July 16, 2020, 12:44:55 PM
Allot of people are making investment in Bitcoin, even with the risks involved. Everybody want to own Bitcoin. Many have half or more than half of their portfolio invested in Bitcoin already, This digital currency is becoming  almost common to all, when everyone owns a Bitcoin who then will care about it as it will be as common and a boring investment.

I believe this is a treat in the Bitcoin market value, could this actually bring down the market? Or it is a sign for feature increase in the market? Your thoughts are welcome..
I believe that apart from investing your money in Bitcoin you have other Business you’re doing or maybe you’re working in an office. So, do you ever see that business as boring just because you’re not the only one that’s into that Business?

Because, I know for sure that you can’t be the only one. If it’s a restaurant, there are so many restaurants out there that you will have to be competing with, but you never say that it’s boring since that’s your means of income. That’s the same with this cryptocurrency/Bitcoin, it’s not going to get boring, it’s like a business.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any successful and relatively new casinos? on: July 14, 2020, 09:05:08 PM
To be honest, I saw a lot of new casinos with amazing sites and even licenses, but so far I have no confidence in them and only test their free games where possible.

To enter real money there I must be 200% sure that there will not be any problems. and this is difficult to understand because there are very few reviews on new casinos.
If you find a new casino as more amazing then existing ones and you had great experience with their free bets as well then if you afraid of not having many reviews about them then you can simply try their legitimacy with very minimal amount because every popular casinos are started from the scratch who knows you found another casino which is going to be popular in future.
That is correct but from a gambler's perspective why would you even want to risk any amount when other trusted casinos are there running smoothly and either the new casino has some unique games or it is operating at a lower house edge, which I mean how low one can go when the market standard is already 1% house edge.

Any latest casino that enters the market needs to understand that there should be something unique about them otherwise why would a gambler leave their regular casino and visit you? And we all know that the gambler base is pretty limited in crypto and it is being already captured by few big casinos so either you bring something new and disrupt the gambling industry or you operate at almost 0 house edge which lures players to think about playing at a new casino.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or there are others who have same thoughts? on: July 14, 2020, 04:46:28 PM
Yes, looking at a few bounties I also feel the same. Even the project not fails, after a certain period of five o six months, we realize that the price is too low and thus we haven't got anything. Also, bounty payments are getting delayed so we can not ride on selling on higher priced boats.

Yes and if you sell as soon as the coin hit exchanges then you are the one who would regret if it ever goes to any better price so this is a cycle of dilemma that can't be helped and bounty people can do nothing around this cycle they have to just work and try to hope the coin gives them the best value when it hit exchanges because that is the time when most of them will sell off.

in my opinion it is part of the team's strategy to attract investors, bounty hunters can't do anything about it, they can only hold or sell it cheaply

And holding a coin that us being sold in the exchange like dust is hard because from my experience most of the alt coins have a limited life cycle where they will be significant for a very small time period and then once the value starts to drop it just never gets back up at all because there is no plans and no one is working for the project once they get their ICO satisfied.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth going for me? on: July 14, 2020, 09:32:56 AM
They recently made a Turbo sale, which was below 1-2 cents from actual exchange price and it was sold out within 1 hour. So unfortunately, there was no opportunity for me to think or do anything.
Please do not get yourself deceived by this kind of promotions by devs. These are all simply the traps for investors and also for generating hype by hitting in to crypto magazines.

Why someone need to sell their assets for lesser than exchange prices. I just wonder this way they might be getting more safer method to dump their assets rather than selling in open markets. Because if you keep selling in exchange then you cannot get continuously same price which will be definitely lesser than 2 or more cents after some big round of selling. So, promoting like lesser than 1 or 2 cents must be a high level of trick to sell.

I wonder why they took one hour? I mean when they plan to buy themselves, they can finish it of within 5 or 10 minutes which will again get them more hype how some ICOs tried same thing by 2018 (they start an ICO and will close it after 10 minutes by saying they have raised targeted 10 million dollars but that project right now is dead and not listed anywhere).
188  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading using someone else's funds on: July 14, 2020, 08:43:55 AM
how If you beat in one hit aside from losing, then your money or capital comes from someone who's anytime to kill, So it's very dangerous to proceed, it's up to you, but this recommendation about a position is riskier.

Think about this way, someone (investor) who is ready to risk their hard earned money to some trader who themselves claims like they are perfect in trading and promising about consistent profits, then that investor must ready to accept whatever results bringing up by those traders. It means once you are making yourself accepting their terms and conditions than you need to accept whatever the consequences.

We never know what will happen in the future, and it is better we risk our money than to risk other people's money. If we can risk our money, we will know how to prevent the risk, and we always work hard to avoid the big risk.

But, from the perspective of investors they are ready to risk by believing into some traders' skill set. It means they are unable to trade by themselves and that must be the reason why they want to hire someone else to take care of their funds but for trading purposes. I believe this kind of dealing is already happening on most of the markets and because of it remains profitable to the investors, I guess this kind of trends are still keep popping up.

OP's case can be different and it is all about dealing only with friends. I guess this type of traders in the beginning days, they will start with friend's capital and then they will slowly expand their business model which will be allowing anyone to invest with them with the basis of profit-sharing at some percentage. Nothing goes wrong until they manage days in profits Cool.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use a trading Bot? on: July 14, 2020, 07:34:14 AM
I used trading bot before when I was so busy working with my profession but that's just temporary.
Basically all trading bots concepts were innovated for that purposes like when we are unable to trade yourself due to some reasons then we can engage a trading bot to take care of few of your trading procedures but definitely not for automating each and every steps of your trading.

Unfortunately it seems we are all misusing trading bots because we are letting it to completely take care of all of our trading procedures. This must be the reason why we are unable to find big success out of automated trading.

manual trading is the best and much effective for me. You can manipulate and have a full control with your asset, you just need to make good strategies and plans.

This is what the final conclusion most of traders are experiencing and sharing after trying bot based trading. I am sure even we are having artificial intelligence kind of enhancements with bot trading, nothing will be changing in the final results of our trading. Because manual trading must be more flexible to and controllable which is completely missing out in bot based trading.
190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Signal Trading work for Cryptocurrencies on: July 14, 2020, 07:11:28 AM
Besides following that sign, we need to have another strategy, just if the market changes the direction so we can be ready for any situation. That will help us to determine the step that we need to do related to the market movements.

Your approach sounds like super-safe-heaven-strategy against fail proof because when we are having backup plan then definitely we can cope up against any kind of market fluctuations. This is simply a derived approach of not depending on only one resources; definitely this will help any trader. You must need to keep checking like everything is going as per your plan if anything changes then you need to react immediately so that you could avoid unexpected things; for changing things, you are already set with plan-B Grin.

Most traders don't have another strategy because they step follow the market moves, and when everything changes, they panic and will cut loss before too late.

When you are not experienced enough then you will approach trading without any proper plans. For example, most traders in the beginning days will enter the market without any idea about stoploss ranges. Only when market goes in negative direction, they start thinking about stoploss levels and then get panic and do whatever hit in their mind out of emotion failure; which usually leads to big losses rather than cutting losses earlier.

due to the level of technical analysis we have incorporated in our strategy, it will vary in accuracy. Then we must need to adopt some other strategy which will be having more accuracy rate.

This is nothing but improving your technical analysis and strategies. You must need to do this periodically so that you will stay competitive in the markets. Traders who are stuck with their old strategies definitely will fail over the time.
191  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Exchange for day trade? on: July 14, 2020, 06:32:53 AM
I am not sure what are criteria you traders are following while choosing your preferred exchange for day-trading; but in my experience all non-scammy exchanges are good for day trading for known trading pairs given that it will be having enough liquidation on one particular exchange. For example, if you plan to day trade BTC against USDT then any exchange which is listing this pair will be good to go because it will definitely having sufficient liquidation as far as I have checked.

I have seen price gaps in small exchanges due to lack of volume and this types of exchanges should be avoided for day-trading as high volume must be the first criteria traders need to consider when they plan for crypto day-trading.

My local exchange is seeming buying liquidation which is the reason if I try placing orders, on first attempt no order gets placed; and the prices change in both buyer and seller sides and then if I try again then orders get placed. I guess this kind of practices definitely not suitable for day-trading.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Is global adoption of Bitcoin possible post-Covid? on: July 13, 2020, 09:29:08 PM
The global adaption of Bitcoin after this covid-19 pandemic might be possible if and only if all are capable to adapt usage and if the government of each and every country will allow the legal usage and adaptation of Bitcoin.
Government might actually have to adapt a digital payment system because no touch payments will be more preferable in future considering how the virus can be spread through touching a person and let's be honest the corona virus is going to be with us for a long time until vaccine is developed.

The problem government face with allowance of bitcoins is that there are more illegal activities because while decentralization offers benefits there are those downsides too where people can evade taxes since there is no way to know who holds how much money. If these challenges can be worked upon somehow then there is no way that bitcoins cannot help a cash-less economy.
193  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: July 13, 2020, 08:56:44 PM
The downfall of COVID-19 is already started, It is not going to hit again with that much strength as we have seen already. I have heard that people also donating blood? I think that is good we have more recoveries then the infected people will fall.

For vaccine I do not think it is going to happen, It will stay and will only vanish when everyone gets infected and get recovered maybe. It is getting down already though.

TEX-LXRY
It is logically impossible to test every citizen and treat them and hence to say that the only solution is to test everyone and treat them is really impossible practically.

I think if only people take proper measures and operate their businesses and people who go to jobs are made to sanitize themselves and wear a permanent mask then the severity of this situation can be reduced to a large extent because it is not possible to close all the business and sit at home for an year as people will die of starvation already in such a long time.

I think the virus might spread even more viciously if right measures are not adopted in the required time frame.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 13, 2020, 07:22:15 PM
Dices are interesting to play if you like numbers and math, and I like them. It's something I don't have with slots, you
just press button and wait for outcome, there're no calculations with slots like you can have with dices.
In my opinion dices are better and more interesting than slots. It's just a taste, I never liked slots, I tried few times
but there was nothing for me in that.
Actually yes dice is pretty easy for people who are new into gambling too because you just need to choose a number and if the prediction is right for under/over you win and if not you loose, simple and straight forward plus it is easy to implement strategies into dice like martingale while slots are a little complex as you need to pick how many lines you need to bet and it can be tricky for someone who is new to gambling and slots and then understand how the slots pay table works. You cannot even apply martingale or other strategies because the payout for each slots bet is not fixed, I mean at dice you know you can set a fixed payout but in slots you don't know what payout might come as it can be 0 or 10 times also.

I would still say it depends on your gambling habit, if you are the one who likes lotteries and similar big paying structured games then slots is better for you mostly while if you are a standard gambler then usually dice and keno are best as they are easy to understand too.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which website do you usually go to get your news and casino reviews? on: July 13, 2020, 05:44:17 PM
Same with most of the guys above I always back read several gambling threads(overview, ann, etc) to keep up with the news. Sometimes I check the sportsbook subreddit and bitedge for reviews related to bitcoin sportsbooks. I also use askgamblers as an alternative if i'm looking for casinos with third party providers.
Yes same here as I check their ANN thread here and I also google about the casino before playing there because usually if a sportsbook or casino have some poor history it would somewhere on the google index will show up and we can read their situation there.

I would really appreciate if there was a casino news portal where we can read all the news about major casinos, their promotions and news about them and a separate section for scam and bugs in past with casinos. There are many such websites I know but none is covering all the action that is happening around and all scam accusations against casinos should be added there too.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 13, 2020, 06:43:01 AM
The article says one person has lose maybe at least $10 million in a casino from a poker game, I mean, how big we are already? I'm just amazed.

Can we just discuss the market size
I just want to share on few number where I really got amazed whenever I do check. The first one is freebitco.in; they are into crypto gambling industry for more than 5 years and the amount, they gave away is really massive one. Here are their stats to make you speechless:

Another one is what I come across last week which is a new casino and their stats on wagering amount really made me surprised:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5199911.msg53024378#msg53024378
Look into the date when this casino was announced here and the total amounts in bet. There must be at least house edge as sure shot profits which may sum in millions.

Windice is another new casino which is achieving 10 million bets consistently for every 10 to 15 days. By considering its age on this crypto gambling industry and its competition against primedice and bitsler, I am really wondering on the market size of this crypto gambling space.
197  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: July 12, 2020, 09:54:55 PM
It has been 2 weeks that I logged in on stake and great to see the improvements! Always nice to have some more slots.

Embedding livestreams for esports is also a nice bonus. A livestream always come in handy when placing bets and this move will attract more players to bet on esports.

I also find a lot of improvements in stake.com ever since it is launched. The new slots games and with monthly bonus and a lot of other stuff make it one of my best gambling sites. Its nice to see stake.com improving every day and this new Slot games are just superb and better than others.

It is good to see they are actively improving their website, and that they offer regurarly some nice promotions.
This new slot is a nice addition and is looking ok but for me stake is not yet the best in class regarding the visual quality and amount of slots.
Stake has always been from day 1 one of the best casinos in the world. Even though I sometimes criticize them, I do it out of love and that is why I give my feedback. Sure sometimes I am harsh, sometimes I go into arguments, yet that doesn't mean I dislike this place, I still think this place is the best one ever. If I felt like stake wasn't any good, I would just move on and go to another place and why would I care if stake did anything wrong in that case?

I wouldn't mind at all because I wouldn't be here, I would be somewhere else. Yet for years (and even at first days of primedice was created) I have been here, a loyal gambler that has been with them from day 1 in both places, and that means sometimes I do see some stuff wrong and I find it quite acceptable to share my feedbacks. This place is just surreal about how professional they are doing their job in crypto space, that is why I love them so much.
198  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: July 12, 2020, 09:24:32 PM
Could someone please explain to me why is dilution fee for investing inactive? Without it each investor can divest on loss and gamble to cover small daily losses and then invest again. Dilution fee properly distributed to early investors is helping to build long term bankroll. [Or am I missing something?]
Well, perhaps you missed something. Guess what? Reading on the FAQ.

["2% dilution fee - INACTIVE TILL FURTHER NOTICE
This is both a commission and source of extra profit for investors. Every time a new investment is opened, 2% of it's initial value is added to the site bankroll to all the other existing investments. This is to:

-protect existing investors from diluting their shares,
-encourage long-time investments,
-provide extra profit for long-time investors.

Although 2% sounds like a lot, the amount is likely to be earned back
"]
https://yolodice.com/#faq

I hope I was on the right track of what you meant.
Yeah, 2% is definitely a smart method to make sure that people stay in long term. Makes no sense that anyone would just get in and get out free willy without any problem. If there are long term investors who happen to wait for over a year and investors who get out after a week. This is inactive for now of course, so anyone can get in and get out but eventually it will be activated one day. Plus the amazing thing about this is the fact that yolodice is not getting all the money back to themselves, they could just say 2% dilution goes to their own pockets and nobody could say anything about it, but no, they are not doing that at all, they are actually doing it for long term investors so that is something that could be appreciated as well by long term investors that casino is looking out for them.
199  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 12, 2020, 08:41:46 PM
yeah but it says play anonymous in op of this thread.  just wondering which one is mistake because it cant be both.
It's not anonymous in the IP (VPN/Tor) sense, but about the bet placed can be hidden from the public.

For example:

No one will know that I won the 349.55x if I didn't post it here.

Even if you did not hide your username there on  Roobet we could not have known that you have won this bet because it is very difficult to trace people from username as people do not keep their real name or forum names on the gambling site.

Just let them be since its up to their own actions if they do really give out importance when it comes to anonymity or privacy matters.Yes, i agree that it is really indeed hard to trace it  up
but there are people who are really very keen when  it comes to that matter. So i cant really blame them up but hey that one is a really good hit.Amount might not be big but
basing of on multiplier then thats a decent one.
Yeah, but you might pick an username that you could have used in other places as well. Let's say your username in roobet is the same one as the one in bitcointalk as well, that means there is easier way to find you out. Of course, if it is a generic name like "michael" or "joe" because you were one of the early gamblers in roobet and every name was available, that means you can't be googled.

However if your name is like "hurayingblowbackfish1872" or whatever specific, they could google that and find you in other places where they can send you a message. Hell there are people who use the same username in twitter, instagram, bitcointalk and other places so if they do not hide your username, it will be very easy to contact them. Which is why hidden names do make sense for some people.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: July 12, 2020, 08:04:35 PM
When a coin is not having a solution to our problems then its value is just a speculative one and in that case, we must look into total supply and circulating supply so that we can predict the future of such coins. But, I guess we do not need to bother about total supply and circulating supply when the coin is addressing a problem we do face in real life more often. Only very few such coins are available, Ethereum must be one of them. Even ethereum is not having any restrictions on maximum supply it has managed to reach 0.11BTC by the beginning of 2018.

Recently when I tried to research about GRIN, I came to know its economy rules like it is having unlimited supply with 1 GRIN per minute kind of emission. It is block generation gap is approximately 10 minutes hence its every block produces 60 GRIN per block which must be making GRIN as a inflated coin hence we cannot expect good value for it over the time.
