Can you guys switch to 100% segwit support? Ive seen two of your blocks not supporting in the past 24 hours. When we are down to 5% left, every block counts. At this point your either on the train or off it, not point playing politics with 1% hashrate, which could very well make a difference in the next signal period.

I was pointing over 30GH at your pool, but will look elsewhere until I have confirmation that ALL your blocks will signal segwit from here on out.

You must have missed that last few news items. [1] [2] [3]

We've noticed that there has been some confusion about the meaning and workings of our SegWit support vote, so we think some clarification is in order.

  • The idea behind the vote is to give our miners the power to signal as if they were mining solo (only pools and solo miners can actually signal). That is, instead of forcing a decision of them, we gave each of them the right to decide independently. This vote was organized solely for the sake of fairness, and a hypothetical delay in SegWit activation would not benefit the pool or its operators in any way.
  • This is not a majority vote; on the contrary, it is fully proportional, as that is the only way to simulate the signaling of independent solo miners. The pool's signaling ratio will change constantly, based on each miner's vote and hash rate. Because of this, a miner voting 'Yes' contributes to SegWit activation exactly as much as if mining solo or at a pool signaling with 100% of their blocks.

TL;DR: 1. We are just respecting our miners' preferences. 2. Moving your miners to another signaling pool changes nothing (unless you explicitly chose to vote 'No' in your settings, of course).

Question, started in the pool yesterday. I started 3 new workers today and they all
Quit after hitting 200 shares exactly. Any idea What would cause that.

No, I don't think I've seen what you describe before. If you need assistance send an email to support, and don't forget to include your username and a description of your hardware/software setup.

2nd question when someone finds a block, is that shared with all active miners
At the time or is there something different.

This is a PPS pool, not a proportional pool. This means that miners are rewarded based on the work they do (i.e. for every valid share they submit), not when/if a block is found.

how can I mine doge in litecoinpool? I've searched for configuration on the website but I found nothing

No configuration is needed, merged mining is taken care of automatically by the pool. The extra rewards, converted to LTC, are what makes a >100% PPS rate possible.

Why do only some blocks signal segwit support?

Not mining right now any Litecoin, checked my account on the pool, and noticed that I completely missed that voting

Just to clarify, voting has no effect for users that are not mining. As explained more in detail here, each miner's vote is weighted by their hash rate, so as to simulate the signaling of many independent solo miners.

Is there gonna be a poll type bar chart or something to show results of your voting asking?

Curious what results would be your pool specific

I plan to publish some results when signaling starts, i.e. after the next difficulty retarget (expected in 1-2 days).

Just curious are miners actually voting in quantity?

So far, 81 users have voted. It's not a lot, but keep in mind that many miners do not check their account very often.

Pool users can now express their vote on the upcoming SegWit soft fork.
Please refer to this page for the details: Litecoin 0.13.2 and SegWit support signaling

are you likely to update to the latest Litecoin core software?

If there are no major objections, certainly. Our pool software has already been updated to be segwit-compatible.

Your call but maybe you could mention this on the news section of your pool? Since the voting will be based on mining, letting the miners know which side their hash power will vote towards would be nice.

Originally my intention was to give each pool user the ability to vote for or against the soft fork. However, after a few weeks of regularly checking the forums and r/litecoin, I was unable to detect anything even remotely resembling the kind of opposition that there is against Bitcoin's soft fork, so I concluded that the Litecoin community as a whole agreed with coblee's vision on segwit, and set my idea aside.
Over the last few weeks I have received a few emails from pool users asking about the pool's stance on the issue, but again, none of them was suggesting to oppose the soft fork.
Still, now I am realizing that there is some interest in the topic, so, for the sake of correctness, I feel that giving each user the ability to vote may not be such a redundant feature after all. I'll try to implement this quickly and then post in the news section about it.

the pool is lagging ,my miners get disconnected every 5 min. dou you have any reports.

Other miners appear to be doing fine, no lag or disconnections. If you want me to investigate further, please send an email to support with your username, software/hardware information and the server you're connecting to.

pooler,

do you plan to support segwit?

From a technical viewpoint, our pool software is ready to handle Segwit.

If you are asking whether I personally support Segwit, I currently prefer to remain neutral. If the activation will really be at 75%, we probably won't have a say anyway, given that the top 3 Chinese pools control over 3/4 of the hash power.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: January 05, 2017, 12:41:01 PM
Right now we are mining Dogecoin, Viacoin, Pesetacoin, Argentum and Huntercoin.
We don't maintain a public list, but consider that many merged-mined coins come and go pretty quickly.

why not keep a public list here in the OP?

Done.

I'd like to see 2 things.. maybe

1) raise the max amount to 75 or 100 LTC

May I ask why? The current maximum threshold of 50 LTC already seems pretty high to me; and even if your mining operation is extremely fast, you always have the option to only receive payments every 24 hours. Please keep in mind that it is against the Terms of Service to use pool accounts for value storage.

2) option to pay out in BTC

Sorry, by design the pool has always been pretty Litecoin-centric, so I doubt that is ever going to happen.

Does litecoinpool have an API, and if so, where can I find the info on it?

There is a read-only JSON-based API, see the link on your account page. The fields should be self-describing, if you need clarifications feel free to ask.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: December 16, 2016, 01:41:55 PM
does the litecoinpool calculator www.litecoinpool.org/calc INCLUDE the 3% bonus or should a person add that afterwards?

Yes, the expected rewards are computed base on the current PPS rate.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: November 16, 2016, 01:22:08 PM
This leads me to believe that the problem probably lies somewhere between the pool and your miners.

only LTC? with other coins and pools are no problems.

Given the data I presented above, I am pretty confident that this is not a pool-side issue. Other users have been mining just fine in the past 24 hours.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: November 16, 2016, 12:23:55 PM
it just seems ... for two days like this ...
every five minutes...

I just checked the logs. One of the two servers on the East Cost has shown some very mild connectivity issues in the last 24 hours, but all the other servers appear to have had no problems at all. In particular, each server shows a very stable hash rate over the same period, and no statistically significant drop in the number of connected clients was observed. This leads me to believe that the problem probably lies somewhere between the pool and your miners.

it is at the pool or have a problem that is broken?

Everything seems to be working fine here.

I'm doing some research work on Litecoin and Bitcoin and herefore would require the litecoinpool coinbase signature, or a list of all mined blocks (if such is publicly available).

A list of the last 10 blocks found by the pool is available here. We don't use any particular coinbase signature, but as you can see the coinbase address is pretty stable.

Great Pool, been using it for a while.

Question I have: is there a place to find the current list of merged coins being mined that result in the higher PPS?

I'm just curious to know which coins are being used to result in this higher payout beyond DOGE coin.

Right now we are mining Dogecoin, Viacoin, Pesetacoin, Argentum and Huntercoin.
We don't maintain a public list, but consider that many merged-mined coins come and go pretty quickly.
