182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are transaction fees expected to rise over time? on: June 08, 2014, 01:45:45 PM
That's funny, I've been doing BTC transactions for years now and haven't paid a single satoshi in fees.
183  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: June 01, 2014, 04:31:02 PM
I get those all the time too except they're the random ones.

Tax reporting for bitcoin transactions?  What planet are you guys on.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 29, 2014, 10:26:25 AM
Once BTC gets to that sort of price level, man oh man will there be alot millionaires walking around.

Check this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=316297.0

There are some 14,000 people, who possess more than BTC100.

So if BTC climbs to $10,000, we will be having 14K new millionaires.  Grin
The OP of that thread used leaked Gox data to link BTC balances to individuals (as opposed to BTC addresses which is meaningless).
His extending this reasoning to the broader non-Gox BTC world is tenuous at best.
186  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum for Android on: May 26, 2014, 06:25:15 PM
I finally was able to get Electrum working on my Galaxy S4 (stock, not rooted) using the install instructions.

The one thing I couldn't figure out was creating the shortcut.  I couldn't find any menus with "add to home".  What did I miss?

If willy bot says, price go to $1000, it will happen.
Bot willy controls all
Not if it's Free Willy.  Kiss

...but I like  the name ''wealthy elite'' haha Smiley

rpietila is even wearing a tie and jacket to prove his elite-ness.  Cool

I'm not gonna be rich anytime soon unless I can get my hands on more coins, but I'm working on it  Cheesy.

At the time of the OP for this thread most of the BTC holders had mined their BTC rather that bought them.  Most of the BTC had been mined with GPUs up to that time.  1 BTC exchanged for $10-$20.

I'm still using 3.4.0 on a BeagleBone to run my BFL Jalapeno 7 GHs.
An oldie but a goodie.  Cool

This thread...
...
usually means bubble imminent.
This thread has been around for almost 3 years.

And it is written in the Book of Satoshi that when this thread gets bumped, an age (less than a year) of massive value increase has begun.

Well I'd mostly stopped posting in this vast wasteland but maybe I'll start bumping this thread every day for perversity's sake.  Cool

193  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcing] MineNinja - BeagleBone Black Bitcoin Mining Platform on: May 24, 2014, 10:56:47 AM
I've been using a BeagleBone running Ubuntu and cgminer for over a year to run my BFL 7 GH/s miner.
No need for a pre-made package like MineNinja.  cgminer supports nanofury and pretty much anything else.

I've also run bfgminer on the BeagleBone as well but settled on cgminer.
194  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: April 07, 2014, 11:19:20 AM
This happens every time a pool has a run of (statistically inevitable) "bad" luck.
Tin-foil-hatters start posting that it's because of hacking, network attacks, etc.
No one ever complains when a pool has a run of good luck.  Go figure.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who keeps selling hundreds of bitcoins at Mt.Gox? on: February 16, 2014, 12:11:09 PM
The Feds have already announced that they'd liquidate the almost 30,000 BTC seized from the Silk Road seizure but didn't say when they'd do it.  I've been looking for signs that they started.

To maximize their value they would sell the BTC in small lots to prevent a market crash but you'd still notice it in market action.

Fantastic.  Found another one.  On a cheap nvidia GPU.

What's your hash rate and what estimate did it show?
197  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCguild down? on: December 29, 2013, 09:00:29 PM
Have you considered posting to the main BTC Guild thread?
198  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2400 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: December 29, 2013, 08:52:17 PM
I seem to still be mining on BTC Guild but the web site appears to still be down.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worlds First Bitcoin Tattoo [NSFW] on: November 16, 2013, 11:29:19 PM
Anyone hating on MsBitcoin should put a bitcoin up they slot because they played themselves.

I believe the quote you're casting about for is "So put a quarter in your ass cause you played yourself"
200  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lavabit.com and Tormail Email Alternatives... on: August 24, 2013, 12:03:53 AM
I'm in the process of setting up my own email server.  End-to-end encryption, including the server data itself.
I'm the only one who has to trust it since I'm the only one using it.  Come at me, bro.
