181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 19, 2016, 04:36:55 PM
Isn't there enough GAS on Ethereum now to do ICN distribution?

Isn't the GAS LIMIT above 3,000,000 now? I thought they just need something like 800,000 GAS
https://ethstats.net/

What's the hold up? Can someone please explain?

Google CET

183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Blockchain Mainnet is ONLINE! on: October 19, 2016, 04:28:48 PM
In Beijing, visitors are likely to meet "bitcoin maximalists", those who shrug at the idea an alternative blockchain or bank consortium could challenge the network effect of a $10bn digital economy. In Shanghai, the difference of attitude is pronounced – there, you are more likely to be told that bitcoin is passé.

But as for which brand of blockchain is winning, it might be too early to say. Da Hongfei, CEO of Shanghai-based Onchain, for example, hinted he believes other cities are now following Shanghai's lead, in what could be a sign its view on the technology could win out.

"Hangzhou is taking the lead in the lower-layer, distributed ledger technology R&D," he said, "not necessarily everything bitcoin." Companies seem to be following their lead, as well.

Onchain is working with Everbright Securities, a major Chinese commercial bank, to build a blockchain-based reputation point system. The project sees value in enterprise markets, particularly because there have been strong signals of interest from leading domestic firms.

In this way, Da argued that he believes "blockchain" might bring about the most benefits for Chinese consumers, though he sought to stress that there’s a larger, more important goal that unites innovators in both Shanghai and Beijing, in bitcoin and blockchain. http://www.coindesk.com/china-shanghai-beijing-blockchain-divide/

I stopped trusting coindesk since they sold to an unknown/anonymous(gov) buyer years ago.

So finally there is no account swap possible as replied from Jani.people can ask refund who sent BTC to escrow, must provide tx hash.

Is it secure? Anyone can send any tx to the escrow. Person need PROVE the ownership of the sending address.

How does one know the hash if they do not have the address?? So Proof of name to tx is not needed.

I think its a bit dissapointing that now you guys are busy and don't even want to launch and give the coins.

See to behonest, if you have earned enough from ICO and now dont want to let users earn, then better be straight to the point and say this

" we are scamming guys, thanks for the love but u idiots deserve getting scammed "

why are you delaying to a point when people will themselves lose interest ?

You are enjoying in HONG KONG with the money users spent in ICONOMI and this makes me even more frustrated

So in short " You had time to collect money but when it came to work for the money you guys feeling bored, right ? "

Enjoy the holidays and scam us , yes please ! but at least inform us , delaying to a period when everyone gets bored is even worse than scamming

RIP TO THE INVESTORS IN THIS DUMB PROJECT. REALLY A NEWBIE AND WE TRUSTED HIM, HUH ! ANYWAYS I WILL SELL ALL MY ICO RIGHT AWAY IF BY CHANCE WE GET IT, BECAUSE I DONT BELIEVE IN SUCH A SCAM TEAM THAT IS TOO LAZY TO WORK AND RATHER PREFER TO ENJOY HOLIDAYS.

congrats! you are NO.2 on my ignore list.
ps' you don't seem very smart - not even for paid or frustrated troll

@Simonsolo, Do not walk into a house as a newbie(guest) and start making demands and assumption. (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt).

Myethwallet can be easy. here is one of the instruction how to do it.  the only we need is the contract address. This guide is for XAUR though. but i think there will be no difference.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1554708.msg15886475#msg15886475

This is the exact instructins minus the coin name
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 18, 2016, 08:21:56 PM

So can you please define "bigger amounts" that must undergo "manual processing"? $100, $1,000, $10,000, $100,000 ? This must be disclosed to investors to insure "Equality of Opportunity".

Is is based on the "Withdraw Amount" or on the "Total amount in an ICN account"?
I would rather they didn't disclose the hot-wallet thresholds until well after distribution for safety reasons.
I am ok with not revealing that info at all

So they should first distribute to people who know how to use Ethereum wallets, then set manual withdraw requirement on any withdraw above $1000, or $5,000 or $10,000 etc... on people who don't know how to use Ethereum wallet Huh

Way to game the markets...

That doesn't sound fair, does it Huh

Some people do not calculate in dollars.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Inchain - insurance for the crypto economy on: October 18, 2016, 08:13:46 PM
Does anyone know the price of INCHAIN ICO?

The total tokens supply stands at 100 million.
15 million tokens are reserved for bounties and the development team in the following proportions:
- 1 million tokens will be distributed to early supporters. Please check additional details below.
- 5 million tokens are reserved for strategic partners and backers.
- 9 million tokens are withheld by the development team.
The remaining 85 million tokens will be distributed in the ICO procedure to participating users based on their contribution in the total amount of the funds raised. The sale procedure will be taking place at http://ico.inchain.io

This is inaccurate, your numbers total over 100 million tokens/coins.

Edit - i did not see the dashes - apologies

Do you people want see your ICN balance in myetherwallet.com?
Please help me spread the word for the wallet team: https://github.com/kvhnuke/etherwallet/issues/249

I think, it's too early to request for icn in Myetherwallet.

But, myetherwallet already has an option to 'send tokens' which would definitely include ICNs.

But yes, we need a separate tab ( like DGD,DAO).

Let's wait for that.

They would be already knowing about Iconomi ( it's very famous, i mean).

Anyhow, how can we help you.  Huh

Will be good we can easily see our ICN balance in that wallet.

Anyhow, how can we help you.  Huh

By commenting if you agree or not with. It can get more attention from the wallet's dev team.

Please see this link.
https://m.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4v0r32/myetherwallet_now_supports_sending_any_ethereum/

Iconomi too is an ERC20 ethereum token.

Yes, I KNOW!
But why not make it more intuitive and simple to reach and see the balance?!

MEW already announced that they are going to add icn automatically.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: October 18, 2016, 03:27:25 PM
Just think about 15 years ago there wasn't even normal internet, we connect through dial-ups for 56k. 15 years is a very long time considering how fast technology changes. Bitcoin is the new form of money so it might not replace but it become a very good alternative to dollar by masses soon.
There is no way to believe bitcoin could replace a giant fiat currency dollar.
But I could agree with your opinion about bitcoin possible to be a good alternative for dollar.

I never think that the Bitcoin is going to take over the Dollar because the Dollar is first of all way more powerful and Bitcoin could never handle that many people like the Dollar does.
Bitcoin needs allot more time before it can be able to do something like that.

Time no development yes.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 18, 2016, 03:24:06 PM
So now I would have a normal PC that I would use for daily stuff (internet, downloading etc.) and I have a laptop with only the Stratis wallet on it for staking but with an active internet connection.

The PC and the laptop are both connected trough the same WIFI internet connection, does my behavior on the PC affect the internet connection on the laptop, and so is a risk for my laptop with the Stratis wallet?

I would think if you just turn on the windows firewall and block everything else except for stratis wallet. and turn of file sharing protocol on the laptop should be good enough.

Yes, It beats the hassle.

You can split the connection through your router to read from different LAN (Local area Networks) ips. I will find a link for you and update this post.

Edit: you could download vmware (virtual computer)  or a software similar to a Usd, then download to your notebook (without internet connection) so when you are ready to connect you can connect through the virtual computer.

But i would take both steps above.

You not take proper precautions to make your computer safe.
What steps do you recommend to take?

first step and most important... no porn sites.

and do not click any links, anywhere, unless you are sure the site is 100% legit.

Get WOT web of trust, thats very useful and good indicator showing bad websites in search results.
Get anti virus, eset is very good.

NEVER open / click any links in emails.

UNDERSTAND most virus/keyloggers and such, often need you to click a link.

Doing the above should be enough to keep you safe.

Yes, I recommend you guys buy a small 11 inch notebook for only staking purpose, don't surf internet there, store the wallet in that notebook.

Use general computer for daily browsing, but don't use our Stratis stake computer to surf internet, to keep that 100% secure and clean.

Also, It would be a good idea to store whats on your notebook to a usb/micro sd card for backup.

Good idea, and that 11 inch notebook can be used for other reliable coin staking, don't install unreliable new coin wallet, to avoid a backdoor or trajan horse. 11 inch notebook only costs 1-200 usd, rather cheap compare my Stratis stake(more than 50k usd).

Stay away from public wifi (coffee shops, libraries, schools)  when accessing your wallet.

Well, never say never - nor ever, for that matter Grin -.
For now, we're good.

The attacks serve to solidify the ethereum network!  Grin

That is very true, but if ethereum goes to proof-of-stake, then Ill be worried.

Should i share any posts on the facebook group to start with ?

yes, join to campaign and share at least 1 post per week: https://medium.com/@inchain/signature-campaign-details-3a24aec31c86

Yes Shared. If we share more posts do we get more stake ?

same question, waiting dev to give a answer

This campaign is not very active now, too many spammers, sad.  Sad

Look at my past post and see my signature campaign, that alone will x out your comment.

HF is active!

Hard fork block has passed.

But I don't see any changes on ethstats.io

Gas limit is still 500,000

Average block time shows - a day.

Will it take time for ethereum to stabilize after fork?

Update: Uptime is 92% right now. Earlier it used to be 98 -99%

Miners will probably adjust gas limit soon.

thats exactly what will happen.
