He is god :-) he is threatening 1 billion industry like boss trashing RTH reputation HARD at end few more such forks and will be fun. Instead of developing something ETH dev will fight with exploits and fix problems sometimes problems will create new problems and we are in infinite loop of fixing shit. I bet he have more tricks to play with ETH

As planned ? The second planned fork was to clear out all the empty accounts used in the attacks. Not fix something that could have been fixed in the first fork,if it had indeed been anticipated. #clusterfuck

And that 2nd fork was not even mandatory to do it. they could skip it now they won't becouse another security hole have to be patched. I wonder how many tricks have that guy in hands.

It doesn't matter really. HF is like update... Like Apple posts update for iOS. So if they need to make 100 HFs to make blockchain stable and impenetrable, let them do it and move on. In the end we will have perfect product.

Everyone can always make an ETH fork and fix all the bugs and create best blockchain if they want. But it is easier to complain, right?

In the end we will have perfect product. I think hard fork does matter. A lot. HF is not just another Apple update. You forgot to mention the most important part - community consensus (miners, devs, etc). Today's fork is due to security flaw in the protocol. The previous one was a moldy bailout for some "poor" funded application running on top of the protocol. So if another bailout fork like that will come some (sunny) day - we may see another group of the community forks.

"It was anticipated. Fix set for 2nd fork (as planned):" that wasnt the plan for the 2nd fork - misinformation..... https://blog.ethereum.org/2016/10/18/faq-upcoming-ethereum-hard-fork/"second hard fork is expected to address a number of less urgent matters such as removing empty accounts which the attacker used to flood the Ethereum network, and which caused the size of the blockchain to inflate."

So there is another attack, does this mean there will be more delays for the launch?
