181  Economy / Securities / Re: HavelockInvestments.com DOWN on: February 26, 2014, 02:59:36 PM

Thanks guys!

Any plans to upgrade server infrastructure to cope with increasing traffic?

We are constantly working on upgrading our platform, and increasing our support staff to accommodate for the exponential increase of users.

182  Economy / Securities / Re: HavelockInvestments.com DOWN on: February 26, 2014, 02:25:08 PM
Havelock Investments Site is back up.

We apologize for the site being down during the last few hours. A simple database connection issue, but you need the right guy to get out of bed and fix it.

On another note, since we have everyone's attention. We never had any malleability issues.

Also 97% of our wallet is kept in a secure cold storage in multiple locations worldwide.

We always have and always will keep in mind that our company is here to serve you and that without you we will not get up to work everyday.

Thank you for your trust and support,

Havelock Investments

Dear AM Fund unit holders on Havelock,

We do understand your concern and we take the trust given to us by the shareholders of ASICMINER very seriously.

After March 1st, Havelock Investments will handle the Importing and Exporting of shares in and out of Havelock instead of TAT. Nothing in terms of fees will change.
Instructions on how to import and export your shares will be available on our AM Fund page on Havelock Investments.

In the event that Havelock can no longer stay in business for whatever reason, shareholders will send us a dedicated Bitcoin address from their email address tied to their account on Havelock.

A list of the shareholders' Bitcoin address and the number of units they hold will be sent directly to friedcat with a request to transfer the shares to direct shares.

Feel free to contact us with any questions and concerns,

Havelock Investments

PLEASE enable 2 factor for things such as trading and withdrawing!

We did. You are now required to enter your 2FA pin for withdrawals and to disable the 2FA feature.

Thank you,

A few days ago user empoweoqwj claimed he was hacked on our site, even while he had 2FA enabled.

He has sent us emails to our support@havelockinvestments.com and we have been trying to reply to his emails directly. However for some reason (SPAM filtering, or his email account has been compromised) he has not received our replies. We have tried to reach out to him through the PM system through this forum as well, but have yet to hear from him.

empoweoqwj please feel free to contact us directly at any time at:

Telephone Toll-free Canada/USA: 1-866-978-8076
Telephone International/Panama: +507-832-2461

According to our own internal audit we have never had a 2FA account compromised. We offer a BTC10 reward to anyone that can repeatedly prove that he can hack an account which has 2FA enabled.

Thank you for all of your quick replies,

We will start to work on the following security implementations:

1. The option to Lock your account to a specific IP

2. Required 2FA for withdrawal / optional for order execution

3. Once 2FA is enabled, you will be required to enter your 2FA to view the private key or to disable 2FA on your account.

Once again thank you for all of your support,

Havelock Investments

Here at Havelock we take security issues very seriously.

We have never had any issues with users that enabled 2FA on their account. We have contacted the person that has made the claim that is account has been compromised and are looking to resolve the matter has soon as possible.

Trying to balance ease of use and security is never easy, especially in the Bitcoin realm. We can always add additional security features but those will always slow down the user experience.

So we turn to you, our valued customers, what features would like us to add to our platform?

1. Confirmation email before any action is taken; some but not all actions.

2. Pending withdrawal of your Bitcoins; time lock?

3. Lock account by IP address?

We always value your opinions and we strive to serve the Bitcoin community to the best of our ability.

Also we can assure everyone that it was not an "inside rogue employee"

Thank you,

Support Team

One of our users placed one too many zeros when placing an order for a sale causing the flash crash.

Just a friendly reminder to always double, triple check before placing an order.

On the other hand, many of our users managed to pickup very cheap units.

Due to the current ice/snow storm in the Southeast US, there's a chance that I could lose power for a few days, and be unable to perform EXCH / BDD Pair Exchanges and buy-backs. MINE dividends are already scheduled for the next four days, the longest that I can schedule without possibly brushing up against the next Diff adjustment.

Assuming that the cell towers stay up here, I'll do the swaps from my phone for as long as I can. I'm also talking with Havelock to see if I can schedule dividends for EXCH in advance for any shares that haven't been exchanged and are still in the queue. Rest assured that any accrued dividends will be paid out to the shareholders.

Again, all just possibility. Power is still up here and fingers crossed for now-

In the event that twentyseventy is unable to manage the BDD Funds on Havelock for whatever reason, our support staff will handle all Funds activities.

Thank you,

Havelock Investments

Why did you remove the price from the top of the page?

We are working on adding a different ticker.

Called once, they said someone would call me within the next day (This was Monday). Called again today, got voicemail.

Hi all,

As you may be aware, all 2,000,000 units of the seed coin fund (SFI) were sold today, closing out the IPO stage and raising 2,000 BTC for some very interesting companies.

However, almost immediately upon closing some 1,000 BTC worth of stocks were sold off, halving the value of the fund.

Is this some market manipulation by those worried by the potential of the companies within the fund, or something else I'm missing?

1,000 Units of SFI were sold not 1,000 BTC.  A total of only  BTC0.8

It is normal once live trading begins for people to buy and sell into the Bids and Ask causing the Market Cap to change.

OK, you've redeemed yourselves quite a bit in my eyes. But take note - outward public appearance is very important for a company of your size. I know you probably didn't expect to be worth so much so soon, but now you've got people counting on you to secure all our futures!

All of us here at Havelock Investments come to work everyday knowing that we are open for business because of our customers, so we do our best to answer every call, and reply to every email.

We look forward to growing together with the Bitcoin community and to support the growth of future companies funded by Bitcoin.

Thank you,

Thank you rbonestell for a great looking easy to use App.

Setup took less than a minute.

We have been approached by several developers to create different types of Apps to integrate with our platform and we do believe that a good trading app is needed and we are working towards that goal.

In the meantime thank you once again rbonestell for taking the time and developing this great App, we know we will use it.

This may have been covered in a past comment, but Id rather not sift through thread after thread of irrelevant bitching and complaining. Is there any word on when the first dividends are to be paid out? The prospectus states quarterly, so I would have assumed Jan 1 would have been the first payout. Am I missing something?

Hello kuikmaa,

Dividends are paid on a Quarterly basis. The first Full Quarter will be the 1st Quarter of 2014 03/31/2014.

It will also include income from the month of December 2013, which was the First Full month after the issuance of the Fund.

Thank you,

Havelock Investments

I am not sure what your getting at. They should equal 100k shares total.
They moved from btctc when it closed, and then just moved from cryptostocks to havelock. Perhaps there are still shares not claimed at havelock.

PS. I am in no way associated with nor am I for or against petamine. I am simply throwing my 2mbtc in where I can.

There are a few Shareholders that still have not registered with us (Havelock) and have yet to receive their Shares of the Fund.

If you owned shares of PETA on btc.to and haven't received your shares yet on Havelock, please make sure you have registered with us using the same e-mail address, and let us know at contact@HavelockInvestments.com

Thank you,

Havelock Investments
