La idea es hacerlo en un equipo con Linux (Debian o Ubuntu), hay algún requisito como IP fija o alguna particularidad a tener en cuenta?
Y ya tengo claro que debo mantener 1000 DRK, que entiendo que no pierdo.
Necesitas IP fija y tiene que estar todo el tiempo conectado. La mayoría tenemos los masternodes en VPS por eso. El ancho de banda consumido ha bajado mucho desde hace un par de meses, pero también tienes que tenerlo en cuenta. Espera un promedio de 11-12GB de bajada y otros tantos de subida. Efectivamente, los 1000 DRK no los pierdes. Si usas la configuracion más habitual de tener un monedero vacío en el masternode y los 1000 DRK en otro que tienes localmente, lo único que necesitas es que los 1000 DRK estén en un mismo input (si los mandas en distintas transaciones hazte luego una a ti mismo de los 1000 DRK para agrupar en un input). En cualquier momento puedes disponer de esos 1000 DRK. Lo único que ocurre si lo haces, es que el masternode deja de funcionar, pero no hay ningún tipo de bloqueo en tus fondos. |

The same thing happened to me as Piggo around the same time frame. I believe it was the 30th of Nov. I received a payment after having tested a mn setup procedure at home using two separate boxes. Wanted to make sure I could set up the local/remote scenario properly before I tried to start tinkering with other set up possibilities. I had the node online for about 15-20 min. tops before shutting it down after verifying it was on the list. I was surprised to see I had gotten paid obviously, but I wasn't complaining. 😄
I also have a MN that hasn't been paid in 6 days.. And my other has been paid twice in that period.. Will keep waiting. I believe that you are just facing some variance. Exactly. Variance was reduced several versions ago, but it is still there and she's mean. |

Si, claro, el beneficio del masternode es muy bueno, pero no olvidemos que para tener un masternode tienes que dejar en depósito (no los puedes mover mientras se ejecuta el mn) 1000DRK por mn. Y eso hay que tenerlo o comprarlo.... Y no es barato ahora mismo... Edito: Se generan 0.62DRK al dia por mn para ser exactos. También hay gente compartiendo masternodes. No es la solución óptima porque todavía no hay soluciones en las que no tengas que confiar en alguien, pero la posibilidad está ahí para el que la quiera usar. Al final de lo que se trata es de que la rentabilidad bruta es del 22% en este momento. Quitando gastos bajaría al 19% aproximadamente. En un masternode compartido hay gastos extra porque quien lo gestiona tiene que ser pagado por su trabajo, pero seguramente se pueda conseguir una rentabilidad alrededor del 10% anual, que no está nada mal. En cualquier caso, hacen falta masternodes y mineros. Cada uno tiene sus ventajas e inconvenientes para el operador, pero ambos son necesarios la moneda. |

Sorry about off-topic but has anyone here used ripple. I have some ripple which I want to get rid of but cannot send them to Bitstamp from my desktop client. I add my Bitstamp ripple address and destination tag but it is stuck at "Scanning accepted currencies". If i manage to dump those ripple I will get half a masternode at least Help is appreciated. We had one guy in here (i forgot who) trying to get into Ripple but he got so frustrated by the whole process that he gave up in the end i think. If you dont get an answer here i suggest you try at the Ripple forum .. i assume they have a bitcointalk forum or some other forum. I believe that was GhostPlayer. |

No, it just picks the first one it can found. To run multiple masternodes you have to split you funds to multiple wallets or to use start-many command.
ok. Thanks again for the very informative replies. I think I'll go and google a few cryptocurrency terms such as "unspent output". I imagine this to be something that's not an explicit representation of the wallet address but that contains the wallet address implicitly or something like that, so it is the equivalent of checking that the wallet has the 1000 DRK. Trouble is I haven't got enough understanding of basic crypto technical concepts - like signing and stuff. I imagine signing to be something like taking a transaction and then MD5 hashing it or something. Where can I read up on all this basic stuff ? Many thanks again for the tips. 2 more masternodes coming online when I'm done ! A consequence of 'buying the dip' when DRK was down at 0.003. (Well one of them is anyway). Every time you receive funds in your wallet you get an output of the transaction into your wallet. You can see your outputs in coin control in your wallet (in the send tab, I believe you have to activate it in settings because it is turned off by default... I can't check now). Sometimes you'll have several outputs in the same address because it was used for several payments you received. When you send a payment the wallet selects one or several outputs and takes the funds from there. You can do this manually if you use coin control. They become the inputs of the new transaction. If the amount is not exact, you'll get a new output with the change when you send that payment. The unspent outputs are those you still have in your wallet. You can check your unspent outputs in coin control, or in the console with the command 'listunspent', or in the blockchain explorer. For example, check this transaction: http://explorer.darkcoin.io/tx/1480d81fb88b8e0d2754feca70e2f0a4a905eedd757498bc1a3101a27d68fa76#o0You can see that output with index 0 has already been spent and you check the transaction in which it was spent (in which it is the input): http://explorer.darkcoin.io/tx/81c9818d336f7dfb4fc11fa10344207f5477313901ea70fccbaf6628c4f72967#i0Output with index 1 is still unspent ('Not yet redeemed')... at least for now. Edit - forgot to add why this is relevant for masternodes When you send funds from your mastenode wallet you can't use the 1000 DRK unspent output or the masternode will stop working. Let's say you have unspent outputs of 1000, 1, 1, 1, 1.5, 1 and 2.5. If you want to send 5 DRK to someone, you need to use coin control to be sure that you use some of the smaller unspent outputs as inputs in the transaction, not the big one. If you used the 1000 DRK one, you would get back a 995 DRK output as change. The balance in the wallet would be higher than 1000 DRK, but you would not have a working masternode. |

Guys for future reference, Terzo2 and yeXIABC are bots programmed to spam different threads automatically, they just use a dictionary with crypto like phrases and post randomly.
I only wished they would do some sort of AI. It would be funny as hell to reverse social engineer them. Whats in it for the bot operators? I don't get how mildly antagonistic nonsense benefits anybody.... Mature accounts with a high activity level can be valuable for people wanting to launch things and I guess it costs almost nothing... |

Predecir el precio siempre es un poco chamánico, pero que idea o sensaciones tenéis del precio de darkcoin para el primer semestre de 2015, tocaremos valores inferiores a 0.003 de nuevo, conseguiremos sobrepasar el 0.01...
Mi opinión: 1.- La hoja de ruta a seguir en cuanto a desarrollos es más que potente: -. InstantX -. IP Obfuscation -. 2 Factor Authorization 2.- Se han incorporado al equipo de desarollo un tipo nuevo que parece es muy potente (Patrick McHardy) y se ha dado reconocimiento a los que ya ayudaban, con lo que refuerzan y cohesionan mejor la comunidad. 3.- Parece que la moneda está estancada en los Darkmarkets, pero está entrando fuerte en el negocio del juego online. 4.- Las alternativas (Monero, sobre todo) no pasa por su mejor monento (ya le pasó el hype, ahora le queda gestionar lo cotidiano cómo a Darkcoin) 5.- El numero de Masternodes (con el retiro de moneda en circulación que ello supone) no para de subir. Yo con todo lo dicho tengo buenas vibraciones para el próximo año.... Yo estoy esencialmente de acuerdo con esa lectura. Ahora los desarrolladores están centrados en reescribir darksend para que el proceso de mezcla sea de verdad rápido para todo el mundo (hay aún un porcentaje alrededor del 15% de los usuarios que tiene problemas por distintoso motivos). Yo creo que una vez que eso mejores hay mercados que adoptarán Darkcoin con más entusiasmo. En el momento en que haya transacciones instantáneas el mercado del juego online puede reventar porque eso cambiaría la experiencia de forma radical. |

Parece que los devs de VertCoin, despues del fork(presumo que lo sabrían de antes), han anunciado una vulnerabilidad que afecta, entre otros algoritmos, al x11 de Darkcoin. http://www.verters.com/blockcheckSi no procede, mp y lo borro. Hay una discusión sobre esto en darkcointalk.org. Change log for this version? I can't seem to find any info over at darkcointalk. Am I the only one who gets nervous when a download link is only provided on BCT? I always feel better when I see the update info on both BCT and DCT so that I know ED's BCT account wasn't hacked and linking to a virus. Anyways the link points to the right repository so I updated my MN's to .24. OK enough acronyms for now. Latest version is also published in darkcoin.io/downloads and you can verify signatures with the info over there. thanks, will check that source link as well next time. Gracias, la lástima es que parece que en todos hace falta depender de terceras personas (lo cual es un poco peligroso), no hay nada wallet to wallet y dada la naturaleza descentralizada del Darkcoin sería interesante disponer de algo así. Un saludo. En la web también tienes una lista: https://www.darkcoin.io/resources/merchant-tools/payment-processors/De los que hay, a mí el que más me gusta es coinpayments.net. Tienen integraciones con la mayoría de las plataformas de comercion electrónico, así que es muy fácil. Además, su soporte funciona muy bien (en inglés). Si quieres ver una integración en directo puedes problar la de la Fundación Darkcoin (darkcoinfoundation.org). Yo hice la web (estoy en el consejo) y te puedo confirmar que esa parte fue bastante fácil. Además de verla ya puedes aprovechar y te haces miembro Con los procesadores de pago es cierto que dependes de un tercero, pero lo que yo hice fue configurarlo para que los pagos se manden inmediatamente a la dirección de pagos y es realmente muy rápido. Ellos piden 5 confirmaciones para dar el pago por bueno, y normalmente en los 2 ó 3 bloques siguientes ya nos emiten el pago a la dirección de la fundación. De esta manera el riesgo es limitado, aunque evidentemente sería mejor algo directamente a nuestro wallet. Lo malo de eso es que sería mucho más complejo. |

A ver, sólo puedo hablar desde mi perspectiva de un año y medio observando el mercado y la evolución de este mundillo de las cryptomonedas, creo que es posible que el BTC caiga hasta los 300$ debido a varios factores (cada vez más merchants recogiendo sus beneficios en BTC y transformándolos a Fiat, cryptocoins 2.0 recibiendo más inversión de poseedores de BTC, numerosos scams que hacen a la gente refugiarse en Fiat y dejar de especular) pero hay un momento que puede ser clave en la evolución del BTC y por ende de todas las demás cryptos, la aprobación del fondo de inversión en BTC de los Winklevoss que se supone que lleva meses gestándose y podría ser en el primer trimestre de 2015.
Aun así este mundo es tan cambiante que cualquier elucubración sobre el futuro a corto/medio plazo es jugar a adivino.

Me gusta discutir sobre el precio de Bitcoin como al que más, pero vamos a intentar mantener el hilo centrado en Darkcoin. Seria maravilloso que el precio del darkcoin fuera totalmente independiente del de los bitcoins, pero desgraciadamente no es asi, y el que crea lo contrario creo que se equivoca, ese momento llegara pero no antes de un tiempo. Ademas todas las inversiones que se hagan en el mercado del bitcoin son beneficiosas para una posible captacion de capitales hacia darkcoins, al fin y al cabo todos los merchants que aceptan bitcoin tienen todas las facilidades del mundo para aceptar tambien darkcoins. Se ha hecho referencia al precio de bitcoin en función de como puede afectar al de darkcoin
Últimamente el precio de darkcoin es más estable que el de bitcoin. Esto puede ser un poco aburrido, pero creo que no es malo necesariamente. Asusta menos tener darkcoins, aunque también atrae menos a determinado tipo de inversores. La propia estructura de masternodes es un incentivo para aguantar las monedas y jugar menos con ellas en el mercado. |
