but you can look over their shoulders and see their progress... sorta speak.
Thanks, qwizzle, I will try and grab it and run on testnet, see if I can break something LOL

Will be able to chat via darkcoin wallet in the future?

right now there is a focus on improving Darksend mixing and implementing InstantX, we dont know yet what other ideas / services the developers
have in mind for Darkcoin to place on top of the MN network... we just have to wait and see what those ideas are. Maybe anonymous chatting
could be one of those ideas / services .. or maybe not.

Ape dumped 160k at $0.2
If you don't mind me asking, why do you need a new account to post here? Is the previous one connected to your real identity?

so far i understand there was always one main developer : Evan Duffield,
InternetApe official function was that of Darkcoin Network Developer / Network Engineer of Darkcoin

Quote
http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/FAQ#Who_is_behind_Darkcoin.3F

Who is behind Darkcoin?

Evan Duffield (eduffield on bitcointalk.org) is the creator and main developer of Darkcoin. Kyle Hagan (InternetApe on bitcointalk.org) is the Network Engineer of Darkcoin.

Up to June 2014, Duffield has developed DarkSend (the anonymity module of Darkcoin), the masternode payment voting system, the X11 chained-hashing-algorithm (which has become the favorite hashing algorithm for 2014 among GPU miners) and the difficulty adjusting algorithm DarkGravityWave which builds upon the KGW concept through a different implementation that solves the time-warp problem.

He is committed to the active development of Darkcoin as a full-time job for at least until January of 2016. He has stated that the development plan includes anonymity enhancements, IP obfuscation and mainstream features aside from anonymity.

You can read more on how the creator started the Darkcoin project here: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/the-birth-of-darkcoin.162/

Personally i dont have any idea who is dumping so much lately or why .. people involved in IRC chats would probly know more. I just hope he is finished by now.

edit : for newcomers like yrself the provided link to the wiki site is probly a good place to get more info about Darkcoin.

Might be gmaxwell.  Cheesy

There are likely a number of BTC zealots to whom it is slowly becoming apparent that a heavily regulated, centralised, transactional slug is not what they originally signed up for.

Hi DarkCoiners.  I'm a early adopter of BTC and after the recent Coinbase debacle where they banned someone for how they used their coins, it finally clicked how important anonymity is.  I'm creating this new account for my interactions with this community as I want to keep my other account strictly for BTC.

I've purchased a couple thousands DRK and will be setting up masternodes soon.

I'm excited that I finally get it and have Coinbase to thank.

I don't mind if someone wants a separate identity to interact with us, and I can totally understand why.  There are many Bitcoin zealots who would freak out on ya if you came to the alt side.  Also, if you once held "bitcoin only" ideas yourself, and were outspoken about it, but changed your mind, then you'd get harassed by the alt community.

Easy to avoid all that, just make a new ID Smiley  I'm sure I'd do the same if I were to leave Darkcoin, but that's highly unlikely to happen ;P

Welcome to ya, MisfiringNeuron, we're really glad you're here!

Well, if you post from the same PC/IP, at least some of the users mods here know who you really are. Better watch out, right. Smiley
