181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 01:36:00 PM
Police in my country were not trained about crypto related stuffs in fact they have zero knowledge about it even the so-called IT-unit has limited or no knowledge about it because it is not part of their training,
In most cases law enforcement isn't even up to date with the non crypto tech cases.... it happens all too often that they just put your case on top of a large pile of other cases to not look into any of them for years.

Only when you contact them to ask what the status is they might give it a look, but only because you basically forced them to do so. If it wasn't you contacting them, they would forget about your case after a few years or so.... unacceptable but it happens.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple and Japanese Finance Giant SBI to form New Alliance with Vietnam’s Major on: November 17, 2019, 10:40:34 AM
Despite the centralised nature of ripple its one of the most useful coin in the cryptocurrency space, The team are very active in connecting to investors overseas and bringing positive outcome. I believe Ripple will become bigger in the next few year the projects growth is rapid and consistent.
What makes XRP the most useful coin in the crypto space? People holding the coin don't use it for anything but speculate about the price to sky rocket.... all it did in the last two years is hit lower lows.

Ethereum has much more usefulness and the people holding it actually use it because the acceptance is there, and there are a wide variety of DEFI applications that provide people an opportunity to earn trustless interest, which is insane.

There is a reason why XRP isn't moving forward depsite all the "good news".... the smart money isn't interested.
183  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Halving Effect??? on: November 17, 2019, 09:12:09 AM
by looking at this fact I also believe after halving bitcoin going to the moon.
Maybe. The difference however is that more people are prepared for a block halving and I think that those who wanted to buy in have already done so. I'm strongly of believe that this halving will disappoint a lot of people.

It reminds me of how hyped up people were last year about a bull run continuation.... whenever people get hyped up and prepare themselves for such event, the more likely it becomes that the market turns against them.

I'm prepared for disappointment just like how I was prepared for much lower levels after the multi month support of the $6k mark. It's common sense to not follow the mass blindly, which I won't be doing right now.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: November 17, 2019, 12:36:05 AM
Before talking about bitcoin has to be used only as currency not as trading asset
Every single fiat currency is being used as speculative asset on the forex market. There is nothing wrong with speculation because that means there is more liquidity and utility for the money you speculate with.

The difference in money sense is that fiat is a unit of account while Bitcoin clearly is not. If Bitcoin can get there eventually, that would be an immensely important milestone, but I'm not super confident in that to happen.

Gold isn't a unit of account either, and that while it has had way more history as money than Bitcoin. Bitcoin being a store of value like gold is good enough in my opinion. The benefit is that it's far more useable as money than gold.
185  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: November 16, 2019, 11:27:59 PM
Before we even come down to the issue of having a reliable site that are accepting cryptocurrency or bitcoin, I don’t think that I have even seen up to 10 companies that are accepting bitcoin out of the millions of companies that we have.
Not sure where you have been, but there are literally hundreds of thousands of businesses in Japan alone that accept Bitcoin. It's safe to say that there are triple the number of businesses accepting Bitcoin in the rest of the world.

Obviously, not every business is a super market locally, but that will come eventually. Another thing is that people need to be more willing to actually spend their coins, otherwise what's the point of accepting Bitcoin? There has to be an incentive.

Stability will play a role of importance too as the volatile nature of this market doesn't make Bitcoin or any other crypto currency a reliable form of money.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currency value and Economy debt on: November 16, 2019, 10:37:14 PM
And that is the opposite of what they want, governments cannot tax your wealth directly, they have tried in the past and people have always been strongly opposed to this, so they had to figure out how to tax what you have saved in fiat and they found their solution in inflation, if they print 3% more money then there is a 3% inflation and your money will lose as much purchasing power, they are effectively stealing your wealth and the only way to protect you from this is by not holding fiat and hold something else.
Strong point you made there. Inflation is a hidden form of taxation, which is something the majority of the people don't know about because it's not something that they are made aware of at school.

I think that's done on purpose to keep people ignorant and vanish a percentage of their purchasing power every single year, and that while the same governments hoard gold to escape from their own financial mismanagement.

At least, I'm glad that Bitcoin made people more aware of the financial system and how rotten it actually is. It's a tiny drop in the ocean still, but it's getting better every single day that goes by.
187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes every crypto trader should avoid on: November 16, 2019, 02:55:23 PM
I appreciate that people spread these tips since the intentions are good, but I have seen them pop up from time to time in forex forums as well, and that is a market trading for decades.

If people haven't learned anything from these tips throughout all the time traditional markets have been trading digitally, it's safe to say that people won't be going to improve by reading similad tips. I wish they did but that's not the case.

Outcome will always be that most people lose trading. If everyone was smart and educated enough, people would be making the same decisions and mistakes, which means that there wouldn't be a market.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Verge/XVG & Vechain/VET High 24 % On CMC on: November 16, 2019, 01:44:02 PM
How you know that Verge will be the only payment on PornHub? I didn't found information like this.
It's hard for me to believe that on such a huge website as PornHub the only form of payment was a little-known coin - little known outside the world of cryptocurrency, and even here most have not heard about it  Roll Eyes
That usually means one thing, the people behind pornhub are huge bagholders of Verge. If you don't accept the biggest coins but just one random shitcoin that barely anybody cares about, you know what time it is.

It's of course great for people holding Verge but meh, pornhub is missing out on a lot of revenue and profit by excluding any other coin. That once again clearly tells you how incentives work and how powerful they are.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the not-so-known ways to generate crypto? on: November 16, 2019, 09:07:02 AM
that's right, my first way to produce crypto besides doing bounty is trading and gambling. because it is very fun and until now gambling and trading is my favorite to produce crypto. if you have good enough skills you can benefit every day and of course, you must have your luck. Cheesy
I find it very hard to believe that gambling is a way to earn crypto at all, especially when it comes to the long term.... it shouldn't be a surprise that by far, most gamblers are losers in the long term, and they generally lose a lot.

Trading isn't viable either unless you are doing it on a more professional basis.... having made a few profits by luck doesn't make you a pro trader. Even professional traders don't make profit every single day. That's just a dream of people.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2020 on: November 16, 2019, 08:13:42 AM
The top altcoins have held quite well lately in terms of price action. I think that's a first important sign of seller exhaustion, because there simply can't be sellers endlessly below a certain price.

The problem as always is which coin to choose.... just because there are very few sellers left, that still doesn't mean the price of every single coin will pump hard. I personally think that Ethereum will do well due to POS.

Another decent performer has been LINK. It's one of the very few coins with a chart that doesn't point straight down. I however prefer to buy something that has been dumped down a lot already.
191  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's next? on: November 15, 2019, 06:45:22 PM
I remember when 2017 the price of bitcoin was in the range of $7300 then dropped to $5900 before finally going to $15,000.
That's not much of a crash at all, more like a a mild correction. What can be considered a crash was how we in 2017 fell from $5k to $3k, which made people worried and speculate about going back to $1k again.

but if that happens I think it's good to buy as much as possible, because I'm sure the correction next year won't be deep enough.
It's impossible to say beforehand. It's always in hindsight that dips either turn out to be great entry points or horrible entry points. The risk is for you to take and accept. I rather just dollar cost average and buy the market down if needed.

If you buy a lot at once you'll feel horrible when the dip you bought into turns out to be the wrong one, especially during a multi year bear market where we can have multiple dips.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Does China Control Bitcoin? on: November 15, 2019, 03:49:17 PM
Although China have banned using bitcoin as legal currency transaction payment
China hasn't banned Bitcoin at all.... you can still use it as a means of exchange locally as long as it doesn't involve their fiat currency. Don't listed to news outlets claiming that China banned Bitcoin, they are trying to spread fud.

but they still control bitcoin because they have way how to make bitcoin on higher and lower price, last week we have seen how China president can make bitcoin up on higher price, I think when China make bad issues with bitcoin price will be go down and lower.
I don't think the price move was related to China's president, but more so the technicals as usual.... news is just pointed at because people have no clue how the market works on a technical level.

If it was such great news, why is the price going back down again? It gave back like $2k of its $3k pump and soon it will make even lower lows.
193  Economy / Economics / Re: finding investors on: November 15, 2019, 03:27:11 PM
for now we can say that investors are tired looking for new project that will make them rich, they are tired for those scams that's lurking all over the crypto world, but if we have proven first that your project is worth investing at, then for sure investors will follow you.
I don't think they are necessarily tired of scams, but more so tired of the bear market within crypto.... almost every crypto chart has been trending down for nearly two years now, and that's something they don't want to get into.

Bitcoin's parabolic rise to $14k this year hasn't changed anything in the grand scheme of things because it technically is just a lower high. What will the next lower high be? $10k? $8k? It's not looking very promising anymore.
194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with margin trading. (story) on: November 15, 2019, 09:54:10 AM
Putting to an end of our trading career is a perfect solution rather than to continue doing but still ended up for nothing.
That would be the best, but if people were to be totally honest and rational, they wouldn't start trading to begin with. The problem people face is that they think that the next time will be different while that's not the case at all.

If the next time is different and they make a profit, that's purely because they were in luck, nothing else. That confidence boost makes them then take higher risk resulting in losses once again.

I feel kinda sorry for people going through this, but we are all responsible for our own actions, which means that stupidity has to cost people money otherwise they don't know that what they are doing is very stupid.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Newbie Traders Lose money? | Risk Management Basics on: November 15, 2019, 09:19:47 AM
It means there are still a lot to learn but of course would end up with losing a bit of money while people are still newbies, with time they will learn all of it and every single detail and become a veteran themselves as well, nobody born veteran, they become one.
I don't think many people reach that point. If we look at how people keep losing with stocks, a more calculated market that has been trading for decades, they will never learn anything in the crypto space.

Crypto comes with even more risk, plus when you trade on platforms as BitMEX the whales there just wick the price up and down to get your position to liquidate. It's a very brutal market people will not get comfortable with.
196  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with margin trading. (story) on: November 14, 2019, 05:31:20 PM
And the most important part is don't go all in, in margin trading.
That highly depends on the situation. In some cases people start with small amounts and book some decent profits, then think they can do the same but with larger amounts because they get greedy.

Another thing is that when people lose on a few trades, they go big after that in an attempt to gain back what they lost at once, which usually means that they lose every single penny that they had before they started losing.

The same happens with people who gamble.... the biggest losses are suffered by trying to gain back what people lost.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin price shows Bullish Momentum in Bear Market on: November 14, 2019, 11:41:20 AM
Dogecoin's strength is its community and the fact that for so many years people have simply started to trust it.
I do agree that the DOGE community is one of the best crypto communities I have seen so far. They are very welcoming and accepting of other technologies and people, while other communities tend to be very toxic.

Also the people's knowledge about DOGE and number of places where is accepted is much bigger than other, much better technologically developed coins. It is likely that this will change over time, but I am sure that it will not change over the next few years.
The most important aspect of DOGE is that people actually use it to send tiny amounts back and forth, and it has been like that for years, since the very beginning.... this is what crypto should be used for but generally isn't.

Security wise it's not the best coin due to the low hashrate, but when you transact in very low amounts it's a great network to use because the transactions are fast and near free.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid falling into a FOMO trap on: November 14, 2019, 10:31:18 AM
Fomo is not a trap, its presence can't be ignored when you are into crypto, it helps and sometimes it doesn't, this is where investors have to make a choice
It all depends on where you fomo in of course, but if we focus on the mass, they generally do fomo into the market when it has peaked out, so in that sense it can be seen as a trap, but one they fell into themselves.

I have always distanced myself from fomo buying, which is why I start accumulating when the price has gone down at least 50% from its high. I'll happily buy the price down once or twice a month to prepare for the next leg up.

Dollar cost averaging is the easiest way to position yourself into the market with little to no understanding of technical analysis. It's not as exciting as opening a large position in one go, but definitely less risky.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt-coins with practical use on: November 14, 2019, 10:08:17 AM
So the main issue now is how useful it is. For example, there are many gaming-related projects on the market, and is its usefulness the same as ETH? Absolutely not. ETH is almost like the market within the market.
Ethereum is pretty all round and has the most developers building on top of it, the only downside I see here is the fact that there isn't much room to actually grow without any scaling improvements made.

It only requires one or two popular applications to clog up the network where people not aware will have to wait hours to see their transaction confirm, because that's the only way to actually interact with the applications.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is BTC now ~$8,780? Simple... on: November 13, 2019, 06:14:19 PM
And buying now is really good for a long term holding because we know that the price is increasingly every year and the only reason on why it goes down or dump really hard because of the FOMO and it really affects all and even the altcoin value.
If people like the aspect of this market where the prices pump for a whole year, they also should accept that prices can't go up endlessly and for that reason will correct in a similar fashion.

We went through a year long bull market in 2017 and went through a year long bear market in 2018. I think that we are currently replicating the same cycle, but in a quicker fashion this time, which should make moon boys happy.

Is it a great time to buy today as a long term hold? It might be, but you shouldn't expect the price to go up from here.... we could still see some form of a correction and lower low before we go up.
