what are u questions u can ask me now Huh
if u don't know how a matrix plan works , everything we answer u look it like scam only

The issue is that to most educated people MLM plans / Pyramid schemes are effectively a scam. Even the Reserve Bank of India has warnings about them.
Quote
The Reserve Bank has advised that members of public should not to be tempted by promises of high returns offered by entities running Multi-level Marketing/Chain Marketing/Pyramid Structure Schemes. The Reserve Bank has reiterated that falling prey to such offers can result in direct financial losses and they, in their own interest, should refrain from responding to such offers in any manner.
(https://rbi.org.in/SCRIPTs/BS_PressReleaseDisplay.aspx?prid=32908) and also written up in the Times of India (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/RBI-warns-against-pyramid-schemes/articleshow/45724589.cms)

If you look at how MLM plans / Pyramid schemes work they generally provide two benefits to the "investor" a small token (in this case some EGC worth 1/3 of the total investment) and the referral fee from those below you. Usually the referral fee is where most of your returns come from.

Doing some maths for the numbers of people that need to be involved using the setup from this scheme.
At the top you have a single person
In the layer below there are 3 people (total of 4 in the scheme)
In the layer below there are 9 people (total of 13 in the scheme)
In the layer below there are 27 people (total of 40 in the scheme)
In the layer below there are 81 people (total of 121 in the scheme)
In the layer below there are 243 people (total of 364 in the scheme)

For people in each layer to get their referral income they need people to join the layer below. This quickly becomes unsustainable (at around 20 layers we'll need space travel to find new worlds to sell the plan to). This sustainability is what generally makes these schemes a scam, the person at the top gets rich quickly, the people at the bottom effectively lose out.

what you have described is a pyramid scheme - NOT an mlm ...

multi-level-marketing systems ( note - systems NOT schemes ) actually work and ARE legal all over the world ...

pyramid schemes are NOT legal - nor are they sustainable ...

mlm systems - like amway for example - that are well structured and well established - are a highly successful way of making money for anyone and everyone that is willing to put the time and effort and knowledge into it ...

i for one - am not ... but that is beside the point ...

you should never bundle pyramid schemes and mlm systems in the same sentence - nor in a side by side manner as you have mate ...

one is a legit business - the other is to rip off as many of the lower heirarchy plebs as you can - to make money for the top rung only ... THAT is a pyramid - THAT is illegal ... and highly immoral on so many levels ...

insofaras any investments are concerned - ANY and ALL professional businesses and legitimate systems ALWAYS remain transparent and open about what they do and what is behind the systems ... ANY and ALL these systems also answer questions that 'potential investors' ( ie - their customers .. ie - the systems 'bosses' ) in the utmost professionalism AND in concise and complete factual responses ... not in casual 'backyard' commentary about some 'info' they wish to present to these investors ...

i have just finished a short term contract with a multiBILLION dollar organization - ge / latitude - for their migration project ... a company like this ( whether a corporate using their ownership model - or corporate in an mlm model ) will ALWAYS have - in writing - the facts and figures and specifics of any system they are introducing into the market ... with contractual obligations on both the corporate side - and the investor side ... any questions that come from the investor market are answered promptly and concisely and also in writing so that NO ambiguity is confronted at a later date ...

anything short of this professional method of investment ( whether corporate like ge / latitude - or mlm like amway ( also a multiBILIION dollar company ) ) should be researched thoroughly - or avoided altogether ...

we ( cwi ) have been working with steven for a while now - and have adopted him as one of our own - because of the skill and honesty and transparency as well as the integrity he brings to the table ... a few of the many traits we work with on a daily basis - and will continue to seek those who hold these traits to work with ... bringing a better 'system' so that 'schemes' are not as easily accepted ...

thats my 7btc worth ...

Anyone else having a problem with EverGreenCoin Wallet. Its not synchronizing. Blocks remaining is getting higher. I seem to be stuck at 716843. Any suggestions?

thats said ... what is your .conf parameters? ...

if you have ANY addnodes in the file - remove ALL of them and resync ... even if it means deleting the entire blockchain and syncing from the start again ...

you may be forking due to them ... and if you are not in a fork - check firewalls and all other apps that may block your access to the blockchain ...

I just saw something that I dont like from you. You took a great mans name and put it on a shitcoin. That coin is also in danger od delistning. Your skills are not that good and you should not use Teslas name. I dont think you have skills you just want to get 5 times more coins to dump. Tesla is under 100 sat. And that is what you want to do with SLG.

lol Now I'm really doubting about you intelligence.

So your research says that I took a great mans name and put it on a shitcoin?
Great research asshole, then how you explain this thread, 2 years before I created the new thread?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778053.0

This is the thread I've created,  with the approval and support of the previous dev who had no more time to dedicate to TES (Teslacoin).
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1529315.0
We are 4 people working to make TES the coin for funding Free Energy and Renewable Energy Projects.
We are funding the development from our pocket.

I see a lot of thing that I dont like from you. Like that you're behaving like a kid who can not make any reasoning.

I thought this was a serious conversation...

I dont care that you dont started it. You are a teammember on a shitcoin that is dragging a dead mans name in the mud. That he is dead means he cant deffend his rights.

That coin is under 100 sat that means your marketings skills sucks.

So the split is just so you can try to dump before anyone else. SLG  needs some developement or it gets delisted because of low trading. SLG can be saved.

Stop bullshiting cos you're tiring at this point

I'm done losing my time with you but since you mention Nikola Tesla and the coin I'm involved in, Teslacoin, I'm gonna explain to you what we are doing

Teslacoin was birthed as an ode to the often forgotten electrical genius Nikola Tesla.

Teslacoin is working towards a descentralized and sustainable world supporting Free Energy and Renewable Energy Projects.

Mission: Accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy system by funding Free Energy and Renewable Energy projects though TeslaStarter.

Vision: Let's decentralize the Energy System!!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1529315.0

did you say tesla? ...

where what when? ...

you mean i can stop the planning and development because its already done? ...

187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: December 07, 2016, 09:40:30 AM

Thanks for the update, bizzyb! This is a very ideal app to keep track of your lensed MUE funds all from within your Windows device. I'm glad to see MUE getting more attention to it these days, with an ever growing support of developers that built apps for it, in order to support the MUE ecosystem for the long term.

Nevertheless, I'll be patiently awaiting for the exciting release of the new algorithm, since it will definitely be a good way towards helping MonetaryUnit become a very popular and widely used crypto currency by the masses. Once the migration is complete, I will be planning to get the decentralized organization of MUE up and running. Since, I will be working on it with a few people, I'm going to need a bigger team in order to help make it a reality. I will be announcing positions for hire once the crowd sale of the tokens for it, becomes a success.

That being said, if you need any help related to supporting MUE for the long term, please let me know! I'll be glad to help you, in whichever way I can in order to help make MUE become one of the top crypto currencies in market cap.  Smiley
Thanks Abiky, best of luck with your crowd sale.

Hi all!

Just wanted to know if this is working still for anyone.
I tried setting it up, but got some problems.
Btw it is a great project and a good web interface.

Anyone can solve the:
New job creation failed: An unknown exception occured while making json request.

I'm stuck there... well.. have other problems, but mainly this one atm.

Also dont know how to disable markets info:

09:34:57 [Error] [ExchangeApi] [global] Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 0, position 0.
09:34:57 [Error] [CryptsyClient] [global] Cannot perform member binding on `null' value
09:34:57 [Error] [ExchangeApi] [global] Error: SecureChannelFailure (The authentication or decryption has failed.)
09:34:57 [Error] [BittrexClient] [global] Cannot perform member binding on `null' value

If anyone is working this, will be great to get some help!!
Or if its a death project and is not working anymore will be nice to know, so i wont lose more time on this :p

Thanks a lot.

this is an abandoned project ...

but there are still a few people out there that are installing and fixing a few issues with it ...

does anyone want me to start a new fork of the git - and we can all start a new code development? ...

if there are any devs out there that would like that - i can host the git and we can all start work on the project ...

im interested in a good solid pool system - and this seems to be a nice one ... so if we band together - ill fork it and start on it - and also start a new thread for the new fork ...

i mean - we dont 'need' any more projects than what we have - but this is probably a worthy one if there are a few / many people that are willing to help ...

what do you all think? ...

Yeah bittrex seem to be tightening the belt, strange how things change to .5 per day. More than likely they want a few coins gone to make room for new ones, I just wonder how many times MTR can survive these de-listing notices.

Not sure they are doing the right thing... 0.5 per day is too much for too many coins. If Bittrex leave that requirement for the next few months, I suppose it will lose much more than it gains, because many new smaller projects will look for more stable listing, and so avoid using Bittrex.

After Cryptsy's shutdown, there is still a unfilled position for a "bigger exchange which could serve as safe harbour for long-term projects". Bittrex could have filled that niche, but looks like they are too greedy for that. The exchange which does fill it, will become bigger than Bittrex with time...

Those are just some unrelated thoughts though Smiley

unfortunately - these thoughts dont hold much ground with richie and bill ...

they work their way into the 'ferrari' club simply by doing what they do - and do it well ... as we can see by the big volumes they do ...

i totally agree with you on that point of the void-fill ... there was an exchange - but i think yaamp himself has finally given up on the exchange as well ( who was the dev for the yaamp pool code AND the safecex exchange ) ...

so it seems that running a reliable solid exchange is really quite a task for some ... unless you have plenty of btc to invest in it - like the bittrex owners richie and bill ...

so where's official new win build huh ?

It is being worked on, sorry for the delay. I will do my best to get it and the mac compiled this weekend.

berncash is stevens coin ...

and as such - the communities coin ...

this also means that it also has the backing of cwi and its entire infrastructure - as steven is one of 'theteam' at cwi - being the core dev ...

cwi is building an entire system for such things as windows and osx wallet builds - through cross compiling within linux ...

when this project is completed - any of 'our' projects that are released - will come with a windows and osx build at the time of the release of the new code ...

we are all busy with our projects - and our lives - but this should make things a little easier to handle when we can have full accessibility to a system that can churn out compiled wallets for those two operating systems ...

linux is a unique system - in that it it has many different distributions and thus has many different builds that can be produced ... so we will be in discussion over that soon ...

192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New stratum/getwork proxy with Web-based GUI and pools management on: December 03, 2016, 01:14:59 AM
how does the weights work?
i tried to set to weightedroundrobin..
i have the weighted time to 60, im guessing thats minutes?

then i set up 2 pools, with priority 0? and i put them 30/30 for weights? i want to mine on them each the same.

but nothing happens..

if your weighted time in total is 60 - then you can look at it as being 60mins ...

if the pools roundrobin time is setup as 30 - then that will mean that each pool will connect ( in turn from first to second and back - unless a stratum proxy restart / reset is done ) every 30mins ...

if it doesnt - then there is a setup issue - a connection ( to the pools ) issue - or a typo / setup problem in the conf ...

an easy way of informing us - is showing us ... what does your setup look like ( the conf ) ...

#crysx

i am making the changes in the gui, the conf is the default one..

i think i figured it out, and now i have the pools switching..
but one more question.. if i have it setup this way and one pool goes down, does it just mine on the working pool?

no it doesnt mine on just that pool ...

it will continue to switch ... but the mechanics of the switching is the same ...

it will continue to try and connect to the pool - and if it cant - will failover to the switched pool anyway ...

so in effect - it will just do what it does best ... connect to the next working pool in the list ...

hi all ...

if sterlingcoin is to progress in any way shape or form - its needs a dedicated dev and team behind it ...

the loose and careless interest from the other two devs - that have more interest in their other projects than sterlingcoin - is proof that control needs to pass to the one dedicated dev ( and yes - who happens to be part of our team also ) - steven saxton ...

if this comes about - we ( chainworks industries - cwi ) will back the network and infrastructure fully ...

personally - ive been watching for a long time now - the demise of the success of slg due to the inadequate input of the others and the lack of interest on their parts ... if a takeover is agreeable ( and i for one - cast the initial vote ) - i vote that steven should take full control over the threads - domains - and all others things slg related ... infrastructure is a no brainer for cwi as we have an extensive and growing network that will support slg in every way if our member of 'theteam' is voted as sole beneficiary ( hence controller ) of slg ...

not only will the support be there - but also a more dedicated development schedule and focus ...

thats my 7btc worth ...

#crysx

Hi,

I think it's a great offer but there are some points to be cleared out.

- What are the opinions and plans of the other 2 devs?
Because for the best interest of all of us, we dont wont to start a fight here

I do agree is better 1 dedicated dev than 3 devs but only one working

- What does controling the coin include?
I wouldnt agree if that means you gonna change the specs without community aproval.

- What are your plans for SLG? Are you gonna focus in the user?

- In which areas are you gonna be working on? network - core code - PR - merchants - hardwallets - social media?

Thanks!!

i totally disagree with you on every point ...

because all your points are dependent on devs that have not had ANY interest in the development - nor the contact / success - of the project or steven himself ...

opinions of other devs? ... their opinions only matter when they involve themselves to the level that steven has ... PERIOD! ...

the fact that steven IS the guy pushing / working / developing and reaching out - with almost NO response from the other two devs in about a year - should be enough proof that there should be a shift of control from the others to just steven ...

there is nothing wrong with having a team of devs IF - and only IF - they are all active AND proactive in the project ... but the reluctance for ANYTHING to happen by the other two in such a very long time - not only makes for progression to be stunted in a way that the project cannot afford - but also proves time and time again - that the control they have over the project means the inevitable death of it ...

i have worked with steven for such a long time now - and have had my fair share of irresponsible ( yup - i said it ) and unreliable devs ( yup - i said it again ) ... and i have booted them from the projects i have been involved in ... steven is reliable - competent AND talented ... he is also one of the most passionate devs i have ever met - which can also be a little bit of a burden ... but he is the dev that deserves to have the complete control of a project that deserves a dev like him ... so much so that when i invited him to be part of 'theteam' of cwi as the core dev - he accepted - and has proven himself over and over and over again ...

cwi is becoming a business beyond what i started and is fast becoming a business in its own right - and i am proud to have steven as part of theteam ...

the other two devs? ... not a chance in hell - no matter how talented they are ...

their actions toward this project - the other project - and the 'new' project they have restarted - PROVES their lack of dedication to the projects AND the devs of any team they work with ... their reluctance with help in this project has set steven AND the entire project back by many many MANY months ... what does this do in turn? ... affects the community that supports the project with moral and financial support ...

nup - the first vote is mine ... and steven is the one ...

another 7btc of mine posted ...

After being spoken to like that I am done. I won't even bother explaining myself since this guy doesn't listen. 1000% is like 3% a day (just under) I was going to donate half of that stake to the b3 project. Since the b3 has never staked at any rate even close to what it says or often at all o have hardly anything staked.

So i have nothing now I just donated all of it.

Oh and I know 278b3 is barely anything but it is everything I have.

You behave as if you are knew to crypto.

I have dumped many failing coins in the past, only for them to be revived in my absence  Sad

How am I behaving like I am new to crypto ? What is the point of your comment in the first place ? Coins reviving in my absence ? Not this coin. Been patient for months. Then after that twit went on about whatever it was he was on about I decided to just leave it.

Unwatched unfollowed I'm done.

i know who you are - and i see you in many threads ... you negativity is beyond my understanding at the moment ... i really dont get it ...

if you have donated - then thats great - whether it was one coin or many ... and a big tanx to you if that is the case ...

but your negative deployment of posts do NOTHING for the drive of the people behind this project ... even though we are all lending a hand to josh / limxdev ...

be patient mate ... months is nothing compared to what will happens when its all functioning well ... especially when the project actually starts to get fully functional ...

I can't get the sgminer v5 to work, so im stuck with an old version I have.

Hopefully I can get the blockchain rolling again.

hi mate ...

glad to see you back Smiley ...

what are you trying to do? ... mine with sgminer50? ...

btw - the cwi thread is where i am mostly answering questions and updating ... soon - when the cwi thread is updated properly - all these threads will be locked ...

if you are testing the miner - the 'old' official pool will be shut down very soon ... and the new pools will have the official granite pool running there instead ... so please re-register there - as that will soon be updated with the new stratums that has been worked on also ...

let me know mate - so we can figure out what it is you are having issues with ... as for sync - the latest core code has 25cwi seednodes hardcoded and is available in my git ... the only thing is - i have not released the windows and osx wallets as yet ... so sync will not be an issue ... the difference between the old wallets and new core code - is that all reference to the old 'GraniteCoin' name has changed to 'granite' ... so the folder names have changed also ... the new directory name is now 'granite' so any windows wallet folders and .conf files need to be renamed to from 'GraniteCoin' to 'granite' ... everything else remains the same ...

a full update will be made soon on the cwi thread about all this ...

and again - glad to see you back Smiley ...

#crysx
Hey man,
I'm using the miner on the pool named granite - alpha centos 7 x64.
Anyway, im probably going to stop mining anyway, the difficulty is too high. It looks like you were the only miner for quite a while. Smiley
Well, I better buy some. Smiley

Cheers,
e1ghtSpace

hi mate ...

yup - thats the new pool - which will replace the old 'official' pool ...

there seems to be no issues with teh pool at all - and i was the only miner on there for the testing period ...

the high diff and heavy mining is coming from zpool again - as crackers reinstated granite and ozziecoin back on the pool ... so with gigahashes being thrown periodically at it - the diff will constantly fluctuate ...

tarithel is still mining at the old 'official' pool - and is constantly hashing at about 200mh ... that pool will close in the coming weeks ...

the new stratum has been built - and with these new pools - will be tested extensively ... the new cwi pools will be the official pools for our coins ... when the new stratum that has been built for cwi is implemented - all the pools will be designated as 'beta' and change colour to the 'beta' colour ( cyan / light blue ) ...

sgimner50 should work well - but the diff is a bit high for a single gpu card now ... and with the new release of the windows / osx wallets - will probably climb even more if people start using the asics to mine x11 ...

For me it seems like adding the poolinat0r.com pools wallet on my addnodes fixed syning problems. It's picking up more connections and it seems like they are comeing from the pools wallet.
Even if i only add the pools wallet i get more connections. Maybe this is fixing some early issues of the coin.
I personally understand that we can't expect the price to go up to 50k satoshi out of the no where. This all needs time and ofc being dev of a coin is eating up a lot of your time. But as i said, this is my personal oppinion Smiley

of course ...

the cwi pool wallet would do the same thing - as will the seednodes ...

the issue is just that though - there 'should' be no need for you to do that in the first place ... the wallet should automatically sync as soon as you open it - and it starts to look for the dns seeds ( the cwi seednodes in this case ) ... there should be no intervention or hassles for the user at all with sync ...

but for the time being - whatever works and gets you up and running ... whether it be the pool addresses - or the seednode addresses you are adding - as long as you sync ...

im glad the wallet is working for you either way ...
