Why Pinnacle is there, Pinnacle take btc but convert into fiat at the time of deposit, so it's not crypto gambling site.

Any comments on the 15-member squad announced by India for the 3-match series against South Africa?

Quote
Virat Kohli (Capt), Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vc), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk),Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Shubman Gill

KL Rahul was replaced by Shubman Gill, which I thought was a wise move. Rahul was given enough opportunities and he failed to make use of them. For the wicket keeper slot, it is going to be a choice between Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha. I would go for Pant, given Saha's age. And I guess Kuldeep Yadav will have to sit outside, if Ashwin and Jadeja are picked as the spinners.

I think its a pretty decent selection. You cannot give chance to both the wicket keepers and the first keeper to be given a chance would be Rishabh Pant and if he performed well both beyond the stumps and with the bat,  Wriddhiman Saha will have no chance to play. As a matter of fact, these wicket keepers have to keep up with the standards of Dhoni which will not be an easy task.

It may not be a bad idea to have different wicket keepers for both tests and ODI/T20s. Rishabh Pant is more suitable to the shorter formats of the game, when compared to test matches. For the tests, I don't want to go for Pant. My choice would be either Ishan Kishan or Sanju Samson. Don't want to talk about Dinesh Karthik or Wriddhiman Saha, as these guys get selection based on their closeness to the powerful members, rather than due to their talent.

Are you out of your mind, Wriddhiman Saha is best wicketkeeper in India. He was regular in test cricket before getting out because of injury, since then because of selector biasedness he  did no got chance again to play.

It would be better if the ICC put the same number of matches for each team.

I feel also the same. I think it is kinda unfair where one team is getting bigger share of points winning in one match in 3 match series than other team which is getting fairly low points winning one match in 5 match series. They should bring it down to same no. of match for each team and same no. of matches to be played against each team as well.

BTW I love that ICC is kinda giving a weight to Test format now.  Smiley

But at the end points in single series is equal that is 120, big teams don't want to play many matches with small teams because they don't earn much revenues from those teams/tours.

What is the rule, if tennis player retired?

Hello,

For Moneyline Bets:

"If a player retires before the 1st set is completed, all wagers on the match will be considered void.Example: Nadal leads 2-0 vs Djokovic who retires due to injury. All wagers considered void."

Same for grand slam? or it's 2 set for grand slam?

I still think that the match is in Australia's favour at the moment as Smith and Wade are still there, if these two can put on a big partnership like they did in the previous test match then Australia can take a 100+ run lead and make it very tough for England to survive on the last day. The rain needs to stay away though as right now it is looking like it will be a draw.

Pitch is not easy to play with lot's of moisture, that's why Aussies odds are so high, and draw price is so low. Aussies will try to play as much as they can even they won't make much score to reduce the possibilities of defeat.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 16, 2019, 09:07:42 AM
Placed a bet on both England and Australia(Hedged) thanks to the awesome odds available, but it seems like this match might end up in a draw unless wickets drop like dominoes which would be really favorable for me.

I thought of placing another hedge bet on Sri Lanka and New Zealand too, but the combined odds were pretty poor and it most probably might not end in a draw. Lets see what happens.

Becareful, so much rain today, if mostly day play wash out, draw odds will drop drastically.

Damn Stoke gone for 50 (glad he made his half century) but they couldn't even reach a partnership of 100. If they lose one more wicket before 320-330, Burns alone won't be able to get the score to even 150 then. They should try their best to get a decent score so that they wouldn't need to bat their second innings. Hope atleast Burns can reach 150 today.

England lower order collapsed, 3 wickets in 2 overs. Now match is open again. Now anyone can win this match.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 02, 2019, 01:04:28 PM
Day 2 Lunch break.
England is trailing by 213 runs with 9 wickets in hand. England is looking good but this does not mean that we can predict a winner easily from this stage. Few wickets for Australia can easily turn the table in their favor.

Starc and Hazlewood were dropped from this match
Any injury? Starc is in very good form. Not sure about the reason of not taking him but if this is not injury then what else could it be the cause for him.

Because he is not consistent test match bowler for sometime, and Australia have so many better option than him for test matches.

Umpiring still very low, umpire must be on very pressure after giving so many wrong decision, those changes because of DRS, I can't think how many match results affected because of wrong decisions in old times.
191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 02, 2019, 10:12:14 AM
Now England will have to save their wickets and chase the score which is going to be very tough. If Aus get more than 3 wickets before 100, the team would not be able to even chase down 285 and put on a decent score and to slow down Smith again in their second innings would be a challenge.

You are forgetting that even if they manage to pick 3 wickets before 100 they still have Buttler, Stokes, Denly and Bairstow so it will be quite difficult for Australians to blow them out before that score of 285.

In test cricket, everything is possible because it's different game than limited overs. But I agree wicket not looking much threatning, so they will pass  285. But everything depends on how good their middle order will play.
192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 01, 2019, 12:42:45 PM
Anderson went for scan to check if he can play further on this test or not. If he is out of the test, it will be big  blow for England and Aussies will be ahead  for surely.
He is main bowler for England in test.

Ronnie,

Why no Ashes test match market live, it's international match and almost every book offering market for test matches. It's strange to see that cloudbet not offering.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 01, 2019, 11:50:40 AM
Umpiring is so bad these days, so many wrong decision, Warner was out when not given, when he given out, it was not out.
1st day 1st session always so much movement for bowlers and difficult for batsmen, we will know real pitch after lunch, and if Australia play well in middle session, they will be ahead in test, these days there is not much high scoring test, so around 300 will be enough for fight back in test.

Because no one can check your phone without search warrant, but bank can check your bank tx and govt will ban P2P site like Localbitcoins and Paxful. And Indian site will shutdown because it will be punishable to holding crypto, so how they can run platform for trading crypto in India.
We can use VPN to access the sites right?

Indian government asking everyone to pay everything you are buying digitally or send or receive money in digital as well so its hard for the banks to decet which one coming from crypto related people in 1.4 billion populated country.

If there is only 1-2 tx once in a while, but if you are trader, there will be ton of transactioin. Bank will call you and ask you, from where you receiving or sending so much transactions.
197  Local / India / Re: Lets assume the worst. What's next? on: July 30, 2019, 09:37:07 PM
If jail term proposal accepted by govt, then P2P will also stop, who will take risk to selling crypto, if they will get caught it will be big risk.
P2P will almost finished in India, localbitcoins and other P2P site most probably will unaccessible and Indian P2P platform will be shutdown for permanent.

Disagreed.

Currently, you could be jailed for having porn in your phone for up to three years. How strictly is that enforced? Name 1 person that stopped watching porn or storing it in their phone because of the law.

People that love privacy and have a need to transact in crypto, will find a way.

And that is not even counting the criminals and money launderers. They will abuse crypto just as badly as they have abused fiat.

Lets assume this tweet is true - https://twitter.com/Nikunj_Ohri/status/1136823903605723137

"India has proposed a jail term of one to ten years for those who mine, hold or sell cryptocurrencies."

What if this become law? How do you plan for your next course of action (and suggest others)?

p.s. Any attempt to divert the discussion with "I believe this will not become law" etc. will be outright deleted.

Well, we do have other options here. For instance, if I were in this situation then I would still continue using crypto as if nothing had happened.
The problem only arises on buying/selling crypto for fiat. I would stop using the Indian currency and would trade with whatever I have left.
May be at some point in future the government of India will accept cryptocurrencies, I would patiently wait until then.
If required we can also use other currencies for withdrawal such as using USD and getting the amount in paypal.
Also, peer to peer exchanges such as WazirX can be used since it is very hard for the government to judge the amount that it coming from such sources.
If we are in contact with local sellers then we can make the deal in cash too but it's quite risky this way.
If you are holding crypto currencies worth in millions then you can move to countries where cryptos are supported.

Or if you are just holding in thousands means you can make paypal transactions or just use the bank account of your friend from different country and give one percentage as commission or fee to him.

Or p2p like localbitcoin can be.

200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subscription fee for sports betting tips on: July 29, 2019, 10:17:05 PM
Hey together,

I would like to hear some opinions on the topic of subscriptions fees for sports betting tips - no shitposting pleaseeeeee...!

What price would you be willing to pay for a subscription in order to receive sports betting tips? What factors are important and decisive for you? What price would you be comfortable paying? I just want to test the waters and see what people think.

Thank you very much in advance for a constructive discussion! Smiley
Even if it is $10 a month there is very small number of users prefer sports betting subscriptions. Maybe one in fifty members might go for a subscription, when it comes to sports betting users always prefer the game on which they have clear knowledge. Very few will go for matches that they don't have a better data and pick odds on a random manner.

I know many, who even pay 1k$ each month for sports betting tips, but tipper must have verifiable/trusted long term results, it's not like that, I want to sports betting tipper today and I will start charging from tomorrow. Subscription fee always depends on many factors, like how many subscriber max you want to enroll, how many picks you will give. how much will be expected ROI?
