181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 28, 2014, 12:43:55 AM
Does anyone have any accurate BTC/MHash/day numbers for multipool?
Cheers,

At that rate it would take you well over 4 million days to earn a BTC.

try one of the profit calculators: http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ or CoinWarz.com
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 28, 2014, 12:31:18 AM
Any ideas...
Also, make sure you have created the worker in your pool account. I've made that mistake before.

Some suggestions for your conf file:
Replace  "kernel" : "scrypt", with "scrypt" : true,
Delete "vectors" : "1", as it's not used in scrypt.
Replace "lookup-gap" : "0,0,0,0,0", with "lookup-gap" : "2", as it can only use one variable. All my older cards like 2 but some of the newer 7xxx on like 3.
Looks like you're running 7790s.
Delete "shaders" : "0", as it's a conflict with specifying tc.
I prefer "gpu-fan" : "0-100",
I don't use this one but I think it should be deleted. "gpu-memdiff" : "0,0,0,0,0",
? "gpu-powertune" : "-20",
Delete unless you're using d in intensity. "gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
I think you'd prefer "gpu-reorder" : true, to "gpu-platform" : "0",
I use "hotplug" : "0", since this is only for USB ports and scrypt is only PCIe ports.
I don't use this as failover takes care of it and goes back to first pool when it comes back to life. "no-pool-disable" : true,

In case anyone didn't notice the news update, the DDOS-protected EU high hashrate server is now available at eu2.multipool.us.

Thank you very much for this.

I currently have a bit over 10 MHS and planning to bring more to Multipool. I'm in the EU so obviously this is very useful for me. Just a simple question, is eu2.multipool.us the final address or will it eventually be migrated to the current address eu.multipool.us?

It's just so I know if it's worth changing all config files or if I can just add it as a temporary pool on the fly. Thanks!

EDIT: high hashrate = high minimum difficulty, right? In numbers, that is the minimum scrypt diff share for high hashrate?
No eu2 is the final address.  eu.multipool.us will remain up as the non-protected EU pool.  I suggest anyone mining on eu set eu2 as backup.

Hey flound, I told folks you'd come through as always. Hope they believe me now  Grin

Wouldn't vice versa be better, i.e., eu2.multipool.us as a primary and eu.multipool.us as a failover  Huh

"...the cavalier attitude of multipool.us towards its customers surprises me."

Honestly I do not think flound is being cavalier. I bet he's shittin' bricks, sweatin' bullets and working frantically to get everything back up.

As I understand it if cgMiner says accepted it's because the MP database got the data.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 25, 2014, 01:30:26 AM
One more thing, while you're in cgMiner press P and it'll list your pools and their status.

At this moment all 3 of the SHA-256 8888 ports are alive and all 3 scrypt 7777 ports are dead.

These things happen, it'll pass, but have a backup for safety.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 25, 2014, 01:25:42 AM
this is my first few days with multipool - i was loving it.

i am, like most others, pretty frustrated over this. at least update the message on the site. at this time a few now means few days. i havent even seen the site today, but im still hashing. no payouts here either.

site owner should speak up. - even though its obvious the site is hosed- human nature really needs some reassurance, after all we are trusting the guy with our resources.   additionally, site owner silence, coupled with my adhd will take me elsewhere shortly, even though ive enjoyed multipool, "aint nobody got time fer dat"  --illustrated by previous posts... im too afraid to search back the thread for similar incidents.. so ill just chill for a short time more before moving on...

i started seeing the message last night a few times, but it was gone before too long.
peace

I've never had a problem that didn't get worked out. Even when payouts stop they resume and sometimes it's a big payout to catch up. Not sure what's up. I know flound is upgrading the web site but that has nothing to do with our hashing data going into the database and being credited. Believe what cgMiner says it's doing. The worst thing that's happened is ending up on the wrong fork and it gets orphaned and you loose that work. Happens to every miner eventually regardless of where you go.

I've been mining in this pool since April and flound has made a lot of progress and has plans for more. If you do go exploring other pools check back in soon and you'll be glad you did.
im a new miner, and dont think im out of my right to ask

unfortunately i just got home and my cards werent up to temp and they had moved onto a secondary pool.   i monitored and tried for 5-10 minutes but stratum is DOWN.

Yes, ask away. If you're new do you know about failover pools Huh
You should always have them and cgMiner will automatically failover to them. I just checked when I saw your post and sure enough all 3 of the scrypt ports report dead and I've failed over to a backup pool. In your config file setup your preferences like this:

{
"pools" : [
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://us-west.multipool.us:7777",
      "MultiPool" : " Scrypt MultiPort ",
      "user" : "Aurum.GPU",
      "pass" : "pw"
   },
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777",
      "MultiPool" : " Scrypt MultiPort ",
      "user" : "Aurum.GPU",
      "pass" : "pw"
   },
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:7777",
      "MultiPool" : " Scrypt MultiPort ",
      "user" : "Aurum.GPU",
      "pass" : "pw"
   },
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://de1.miningpool.co:9203",
      "Mining Co Pool" : " FastCoin (FST) ",
      "user" : "Aurum.GPU",
      "pass" : "pw"
   },
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://au1.miningpool.co:9203",
      "Mining Co Pool" : " StableCoin (SBC) ",
      "user" : "Aurum.GPU",
      "pass" : "pw"
   },
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://usa.wemineltc.com:3334",
      "WeMineLTC Pool" : " LiteCoin (LTC) ",
      "user" : "Aurum.GPU",
      "pass" : "pw"
   }
],
"failover-only" : true,
"include" : "Configuration_Miner_Aurum.conf"
}

I split my cgMiner setup into 3 parts: a bat file to launch it with a shortcut placed in the StartUp folder, a Scrypt_Pools.conf, and a Miner.conf for hardware specific parameters.

Sometimes something happens that requires the coin client to be updated and its blockchain re-downloaded.
You mean like a filesystem crash ?

No, it's something to do with the coin itself. I don't know the details but it happens at the exchanges too and they're hands are tied until they have the latest client aka wallet installed and the blockchain up to date which sometimes means starting over.

I'm not saying I know what's wrong, just saying there's several possibilities and many of us have mined right through them.

My miners are running just fine on both scrypt and SHA MultiPorts and if cgMiner says my shares are being accepted then I know that I will be paid all I'm owed.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 25, 2014, 12:48:46 AM
Multipool pays about 70% of what I calculate using coinwarz.com and using conservative numbers for my hashrate (my WU).

CoinWarz does not account for stales and rejects that occur in the real world. Are you collecting his data every minute or just picking off values when they float to the top and assuming you can get that all day Huh

Clearly you can do better solo mining. Best of luck to you  Roll Eyes
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 25, 2014, 12:41:57 AM
Anybody!!!????Anybody???!!!
Can you check auto payments?
Have been coins added to your wallet for last 5 hours?
no. last payout for me was ~ 9-10 hours ago and they appeared to have been delayed or issued manually or something because 2 came in quick succession.

My SHA-256 have continued today and I haven't noticed any problems there. But, now that you mention it scrypt is way behind. Sometimes something happens that requires the coin client to be updated and its blockchain re-downloaded. That coin may be taken out of rotation until the update is completed but all accepted shares we've submitted will be paid out. I'm just guessing but I've been here since April and I have no worries.

All the Dogecoin payouts are completely blank when in block detail. Last 12 or so blocks are completely devoid of value. Needs to be looked at. Not talking about the stupid Cryptsy thing.

Something seems awry:

I watched this utube video last night of a guy showing how he builds a 5xR9-290 scrypt miner. He goes to the store and buys 6 brands of cards: Sapphire, Asus, MSI, Diamond, etc. He had a new Hercules 1600 PSU and a Gigabyte 990-UD3 or 5 motherboard and a nice metal tube frame he says he makes and sells for $140. I'm guessing this cost over $3,000 to build. Got me to thinking. I just finished building a 6x5970s, a pair of Corsair PSUs (AX1200 + TX850), homemade frame, 32 GB SSD, risers and 3 fans. Cost me about $2,000.

What if it were possible to buy a BFL Monarch 600 GH/s card today (hypothetically speaking, of course) for $2,200 or spend the cash on a 4 MH/s scrypt miner. The Monarch 600 would mine 0.1686 BTC per day and recoup its cost in 17 days. In a year from now when your Monarch finally arrives in the mail it's anybody's guess. The scrypt miner would immediately start minting 1.0053 LTC and recoup its capital cost in about 100 days. One could scale the case up to compare to a CoinTerra 2 TH/s and it would be 24% better than a Monarch 600.

Where should I send my cash  Huh   I know which choice is more fun  Grin

MP just keeps dropping DogE doo on Vern's lawn and cryspy just keeps automatically turning turds into bitcoins.
I don't understand what all the caterwallin's about, cryspy's been working great for me lately.
Sometimes cryptsy works fine.
But when it goes bad... it's awful.
M

But you don't even use cryspy and you're doing half the caterwallin'  Grin

How do I look up my TXID in the block chain?

Most easy, such convenience  Grin

Go to your MultiPool.us account page and scoll down. In the bottom right you'll see recent withdrawals. Click on one and go to a list of all of that coin, e.g.

What prompted the "Privacy policy" and "Terms of use" agreement?

A lawyer, what else?

I think a T&C should be added banning bashers and trolls from the pool.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 19, 2014, 07:57:06 PM

I flound your new pages to be fine, much nice. Stats page is looking good!

Can't wait for some more SHA-256 coins, starting with UNO  Grin

New feature suggestion. Now that cryspy has minimum trade sizes it makes no sense to send an autodeposit to them for a smaller amount. Especially if one has AutoSell enabled. Maybe the new feature would allow the autowithdrawal amounts to be adjusted to be at least equal to the cryspy minimum and if they're higher just leave alone.

BTW, my hashrates agree very closely with the MP rates. Thanks for tweakin' it in.

i cant login,15/01/2014
anyone has the same problem ?

You should also have these failover pools in your config file:

stratum+tcp://us-west.multipool.us:7777

stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:7777

MuM stopped working. I uninstall 2.3.4 and reinstalled and it still will not launch. I uninstalled and installed 2.3.3 and it won't run either. Any idea what might've happened?

That I'm not sure of.  Did you try only using the red to make sure it has enough power?
Also did the drivers install properly?  If so it should show up in your device manager or in your printers and devices folder.
Mr Wools would know way more than I do.  He is great helped me through issues too.

I put the Red Furys on a miner by themselves and run them with cgMiner 3.9.0.

MuM has been running Block Eruptors and BFL Singles with no problem until today. I made sure they had the right drivers using Zadig. I just put them back on cgMiner as I cannot afford down time. I don't know what I did.
