181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Have you supported a dead coin? on: February 17, 2018, 09:11:35 AM
Have you ever supported, bought or mined a coin that died later on? Why did you support it? What did you learn from it?
As for me, many invested in doge and where it is now. But this was the only mistake, and now I'm not investing in shitkoins, but I'm looking for very progressive coins for my portfolio.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will altcoins be independent of bitcoin's movement? on: February 17, 2018, 09:08:51 AM
I understand that since altcoins are paired with BTC for trading, the price is based off bitcoin's.

However, even if an altcoin is doing well, it can tank (in terms of sats) when bitcoin's price corrects.

Will we ever see a market that isn't so heavily dependent on bitcoin? Is this possible for the future?
It is difficult to remove the basis from the entire block system. This is one big thing that is inseparable actually. And even if bitcoin completely drops out of the trade, even then the altcoins will also suffer very much.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just bought 200 ETC! Price predictions? on: February 16, 2018, 06:36:22 AM
I just bought 200 Ethereum Classic. what are your guys thoughts on the future price of the coin?
It is very pleasant to trespass this coin because of unlimitedness. But to invest in forks well, it's like money was not enough for the original and we will buy a prototype. And the prototype will never be better, so my opinion is a big risk. A forecast for a price of up to $ 100 ceiling.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prices will go up this week ? on: February 16, 2018, 06:32:12 AM
Tomorrow :
Quote
CBOE Future Contract Expiration
The CBOE future contracts on bitcoin for the month of January expire February 14, 2018. This is the first month there are more contracts going “long” or betting BTC will appreciate than going “short” and expecting BTC to depreciate in value. This is a very positive sign for BTC’s price in the short term as last month when the future’s traders betting BTC will depreciate they clearly manipulated the market downward the day of futures expiration for the CBOE and CBOT. This month if they do use their invisible hand in the market to move it up or down, at least it will be with their future’s positions, moving the value of BTC higher. The futures traders are clearly the “whales” in these markets, and their influence impacts the markets greatly. Their betting BTC will appreciate heading into the five major conferences this week is a very positive occurrence.

Tomorrow also :
https://www.profitconfidential.com/cryptocurrency/ethereum/eth-price-forecast-cftc-event-bolster-ethereum-prices-wednesday/

Another (positive ?) report from the CFTC.

Just like everything fell into place, again the market turned red. Bitcoin certainly already grew up quite well, but even at it the next correction began, and what then to speak for alts. Well, we are waiting for the beginning of spring.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Ripple buy time? on: February 16, 2018, 06:30:01 AM
What do you think, Is it Ripple buy time?
If your answer is yes, then want to know the target around 2018 (almost one year).
If I invest 2k$ on it, how much I can get back from this?
About the ripple say that you will get a very large profit is not. The coin is fully controlled and therefore it will not be allowed to get out of control, even an increasing number of investors will not give such a result at a price like any other. But it's worth the risk, especially as more and more banks are joining this.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: February 15, 2018, 06:28:04 AM
The currency is fully controlled by banks, which means it will simply not be allowed to rise to such heights. And for ordinary users it is like a contribution to the development of the bank, and they are known to think only of themselves. So do not expect anything good from the ripple.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin fork! on: February 15, 2018, 06:24:53 AM
It would be nice if every coin did not have forks, like a  Litecoin, and that would be the right decision. Why do we need prototypes if there is an original, which is much better and more effective. Plus, prototypes never differed in either demand or efficiency.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zoin Discussion What people thinks ? on: February 15, 2018, 06:21:14 AM
Hello people what you think about Zoin (ZOI) Project ?
Let's face it and say that this is one of the many projects that has all the chances of raising, but is not very popular yet. Let's see, we need to wait time to understand how the developers relate to their project.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES still a good bet? on: February 14, 2018, 06:14:11 AM
Hey guys,

I am wondering what's your opinion on WAVES? Looking at it the past weeks kind of makes me wondering if it is. Basically every Alt somehow got pumped pretty significantly. WAVES on the other hand somehow keeps pretty steady or looses value. Maybe it's just a wrong impression on my side, I would be just interested what's your take in its future Smiley
As for me an undervalued coin, which can grow at any time. In general, you need to invest, and who already has one should only wait for this moment.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Money on: February 14, 2018, 06:10:59 AM
How exactly does the money making process work?  You buy some cryptocurrency for a certain price then sell it for a higher price and the difference is the money you've made?  This would mean that the money you've made is still in terms of cryptocurrency.  Then can that money be converted into the whatever kind of cash your country uses?  How does it work?

So it works like you described, and the conclusion is either through exchanges with a commission, or through trusted people. In general, those who want to get a lot going for long-term retention of their investments, on short-term ones are very risky.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts crash again ? on: February 13, 2018, 06:30:15 AM
Will altcoins crash again ?
Of course they will, maybe not as they are now global, but still nothing stands on one level. Always changing demand, people constantly withdraw money or invest more. In general, we are waiting for a new positive movement.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC to $100, when? on: February 13, 2018, 06:27:42 AM
Not ETH but ETC will see $100.
question is when?
And explain to me what so good all these forks, and they can add a new coin to the parent. That's right, it's better for people to invest in an already proven coin than in an unfamiliar fork, so their price will keep on the same level with small fluctuations.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: February 13, 2018, 06:23:01 AM
Hi,

I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit..
After 14 days the price is dropping..

They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them  Grin)
My answer.. Just wait!

- Developers can't work 24 hours a day
- don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  Wink
- a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient..
If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit.
You understand that not everyone is of the same opinion as you. Many here on short-term trade, to make a profit on the fast, and now there are such downturns that it is extremely dangerous to invest at all. Therefore, it will be more correct to buy coins for a long time, but everything depends on the person himself and his strategy in the market.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are these predictions Accurate? on: February 12, 2018, 06:29:49 AM
All the forecasts are made by people, and as we know they are mistaken. Therefore, it is better now not to predict and try to guess at all, but just trust yourself and the inner instinct.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DashCoin Hold or Sell? on: February 12, 2018, 06:27:49 AM
I have 2 dash but I do not know what to do.Would you suggest to sell? Ethereum mixing my mind.
The coin is not new but still can not reach the required level. But your investments in it are not so great, therefore you do not risk anything at all if you continue to keep your investments. It's just a matter of investing such small shares of your asset in such coins.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Panic Sell ? / Chance on: February 12, 2018, 06:23:14 AM
According to you . if in the current time, what do you do when bitcoin decreases current price? do you sell or hold and buy bitcoin again?
and do you think that bitcoin prices will rise in the near future? give your opinion and your reasons whether bitcoin will rise or even drop drastically?
Bitcoin is already the last century, you need to gradually transfer your assets to alt. Therefore, I advise you to think about whether it is worth keeping money in bitcoin realizing that it will not reach those heights as before, but it can fall below the limit. So I'm the sole alt market and their dominance.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese new year on: February 11, 2018, 07:20:38 AM
With the Chinese New year coming, who believes that the crypto market with go down again? Speculating on whether to hold out to purchase more of some altcoins such as VIB, XVG, and looking at other possibilities
The fact that the market fell still long before the Chinese New Year does not convince you that their influence is minimal on all this. It would simply be a small correction of no more, and then a complete collapse of all coins and until the end even this is not visible.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I HOLD this: ----> post your holding coins! on: February 11, 2018, 07:15:57 AM

So simple the topic is, write here a list of your holding coins and maybe how long you hold each coin until yet!

I start:

- BTC
- POT 6m
- ETH
- xp coin 1w
- ripple 1y

Go!
Ether and ripple agree, but the rest including even bitcoin, which as for me is no longer so popular, I think it's coins that will not give anything useful from investing in them. But this is your opinion and your risk.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is hodling alts dangerous? on: February 10, 2018, 06:27:15 AM
Last year alts rise a lot. I dont know the average percentage. But when I check coins in the market at year 2013 lots of them dead now (too low ranks). probably new tech coins won them (like peercoin, namecoin, ixcoin etc)

Also we are following new ICO s and most of us expecting too much gain from new coins which are not at the market. If our ICO expectations will happen, when they added to market, current market coins will go down. kind of paradox  Huh
Indeed a very large number of coins have already become dead, new ones have appeared and they are no worse than the old ones. Over time, everything is improved and past mistakes are taken into account, but every investment in any coin is a big risk. Therefore, you can not worry when you hold the alt in your portfolio, here half of the forum are.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptos in uptrend, will there be another big dip? on: February 10, 2018, 06:23:49 AM
Dear Community

The cryptos are in uptrend and I'm ready to buy some more.
But I'm not sure if this is the right time, I suspect there will be another dip in the coming days.

What is your opinion?
It's difficult to say that now is the best time to buy, I'm sure that this is not the last failure, as it was before. Therefore, it's your right to take risks, but without it it's not right.
