my guess - the dev of the qt wallet used the doge wallet as a base wallet, but didnt change the semantics of the layout.

Seems like a trend now a days, usually no one makes their own custom wallet anymore.

Is this a fork of DOGE coin? I only ask because the symbol on the mine button is a paw like DOGE QT.

Hmmmmmm. DedicatedPool and Nut2Pool down simultaneously? Smells like co-ordinated DDoS.

More then likely and/or just the network is unstable.

Are there network issues with the coin? Seems like I get "Share is above target" eventually on every pool I mine.

Quote
If you price out the coins you produced in 24 hours vs DOGE against the prices, you still come up more with LOT.

its true for now.

look at the difficulty jump in the last 24 hours.

I am predicting difficulty 10 FOLD in 72 hours.

which will make it NOT SO PROFITABLE FOR MINING anymore (especially if dumping continues and prices stay ridiculously low)

for us miners, last 72 hours.

mark my words.

Diff has been steady and hasn't done any crazy jumps, even with the increased mining. All depends on demand for the coin and the services/products that use the coin. The coin will still be profitable until the max reward is halved, then we'll see if the pricing with jump or dip.

It's fair in my opinion, when your wasting $0.30 /kwhr and your miner isn't sending shares to a pool, that's wasted power and money. I hate using a phone to browse the internet, I'd rather use a tablet or laptop. The phone, I use for quick gmail'ing, accounts and maybe social sites, that's it.

I'm on my laptop atm, so my thumbs are fine Smiley I browse a lot on my phone when I'm out and about, or in bed and I cant sleep. Always connected.. lol

$0.30 per kw! That seems steep. I'm at $0.24 and my electric bills are the stuff of nightmares. Smiley

It's at $0.1323 initially, but there is a base usage of the kwhr's for the month. Then it jumps to tier 2, 3 and 4 quickly after that to $0.35. When I average it out, it comes in about $0.29 to $0.30, I leave the miners on for 24/7. I definitely need to live in an industrial area and get their rates...LOL

lottocoin just came out hours ago to cryptsy

thing that confuse me

crypto currency market shows $ 1,141,297 value which is really amazing (only a few hours old)

and the price is horribly low. total amount of coins is less than 1/4 of doge

so the price should be 4 times as much as doge.

correct me if I am wrong. (newbie here)

why is the price sooo damn low??? is it because everyone is selling?

Only way to get attention about the pools. LOL I think it should indicate where the servers are located, it would be very helpful.

If you had a reason then that's fair enough. I'm a frequent user of forums, and people re-quoting long posts and pictures a 1000 times in a thread is a pet hate of mine. Especially if you're browsing on phone, it makes your thumbs ache!

Anyway, as you were MrDemon..

We really need to get ecrypto off the first page and add cryptsy.

Ecrypto has had a picture of a fat cow up on their website for the past 12 hours.

I've paged mr lotto about it

Just found out and so far running ok. Just wish that it was indicated in the OP.

In progress...

thanks for heads up on this stuff btw

Most OP's for coins usually don't indicated the location(s) on every single pool posted. It helps to know the closest pool to help minimize latency and the possible errors that incur with it. Some pools have stratum issues too.

Any working US based mining pools? I keep getting too many rejected shares and above share errors in cgminer, I have HW=0. I'm wasting precious hash power and electricity for the past 6 hours when I was asleep.

Nut2pools have US stratum node up and running.

I tried all the US stratums on the pools that have them, all the same errors. Dedicatedpool, so far, is working the best.

This is kind of sucking. I'm finding shares, but every single one is getting rejected.  Huh

It must be some kind of problem... what setup do you use? win32 or 64?

Win64. This is my setup: minerd.exe --url http://work.mmcpool.com:80 --user M92QAURY1e4BsoDdqx5pKeS7UJi6zUHv6H --pass x --threads 4

Your CPU might not support AES, what model is your CPU?

Phenom II x4 820 and 3x Core2 Quad Q6600's. They should, I know they don't perform great like the newer cpu's, but I'm on a budget for cpu mining.

Q6600 does not support AES-NI
http://ark.intel.com/products/29765/intel-core2-quad-processor-q6600-8m-cache-2_40-ghz-1066-mhz-fsb

I know, I posted after that post that I found out.

Code:
Proof of Work
The Proof of Work is a modified Momentum based algorithm. It has a small SHA512 component, and a large AES component - chips with AES-NI instruction sets will fare *much* better. Each hash requires 1GB of Memory to perform and encrypts 50GB of data. By contrast, the verification only requires 128K and less than one 10th of a second.

See that, it's not requirement to have AES-NI. At least AES is required, which most 64-bit cpu's do, even old ones. So, the cpu's I have will just be slow at hashing, might be better I mine PTS, buy and/or trade for MMC.
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will the dogecoin reach $1 one day... on: December 29, 2013, 02:39:15 AM
More realistically, maybe between 1 cent to a dime in value. If it survives that long and actually have services/products to use it on.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: opinions on this gpu at $139.99 CAD after rebate on: December 28, 2013, 09:13:51 PM
It perform as well as a HD 5870 or HD 6950, around 380~400 kh/s. It's an affordable option if you can't afford a HD 6990, 7950, 7970, 7990 or R9 series (270x, 280x, 290 and 290x). I would get 4, if I had to use those.
1816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bter has a withdraw limit on DOGE to 1K on: December 28, 2013, 09:10:11 PM
I have about 1mil of DOGE on Bter and tried to withdraw today. Told me that the limit is 1K. Wow. To withdraw 1 mil I would have to put fund pass and captcha 1000x...

Why did you put a poll up for this topic? LOL

Yup, bter is strange like that. I would think they would let you take at least 100k at a time. I remember doing TIX there and it took me 3 days to withdraw, not a pleasant experience.
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ALT COIN CRASH] WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN on: December 28, 2013, 01:08:47 PM
I hate to say it but I have some level of agreement with the OP about there being a coming alt coin crash.  IMO pretty much all of the alts are in a huge bubble, we don't seriously think these clones will ever rival bitcoin.  As people have said its the greater fool theory in action.  It's not exactly the same with all alts though, some do offer 'innovation' or at least, changes to bitcoin.  When bitcon gets on its next big move up some time next year there will be a big altcoin crash as everyone dumps their alts to get back on the 'real' crypto.  After that the alts will rise again.

Alts original intent wasn't to rival Bitcoin, but to give late adopters a chance at digital mining and/or investment. Also, to improve upon Bitcoin's technology and services, in theory. Actually use digital currency for services and products, ie. overstock.com in six months. BTC, LTC, DOGE, etc; all digital currency is volatile and subject to rise and falls, just like the stock market. Speculation drives both stock market and digital currency.
1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ALT COIN CRASH] WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN on: December 28, 2013, 01:03:16 PM
I'm Christian. You have to remember, the eye for eye was before he came to earth. Jesus did change some rules put in the old testament, if you study the bible. It's a sin to judge and persecute people. But let's not let this be a religious and/or ethics topic, please stay on topic and provide evidence claiming you assumption is truth or something close to it.

You misunderstand Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not change any rules at all.

The law remains the same as the law always was.

GOD NEVER CHANGES

Jesus saved us from sin with his own life. If you read the old testament, if you weren't a Jew, you go to hell regardless. Jesus went to hell to save us non-Jews. What's not to understand. Please don't insult my believes as I haven't did yours. You have the right to believe the way you want about God and I'll respect that. Let's not touch religion from now on and in the future. Please stay on topic.

Read my sig. and look to the left at what I wrote there.

What does that have to do with the topic? I keep getting away from religion and you keep bring it back. Please stop with instigation, if you think you so proper and perfect, then just keep thinking that and let it be. I don't think anyone is less or better than me, may it be a homeless person or a famous rich person, a person is a person. I'll respect you, but you have to respect me that I'm not purposely trying to attack or insult you.

Now, back to the topic. Where are these trends and evidence of selling Alt needs to be done now? Links and charts would be nice to provide please.

For God's sake people,

DON'T FEED THE TROLL

Bury this thread.

This topic needs to be closed, if this continue like this and if nothing positive is gained from it. Arguments are fine, if they are constructive, at this rate, it is not.
