any new plans for TRK to improve price/volume?
First of all we need good looking and constantly updated OP here, some social media, updated official website, etc. I'd like to offer some help to TRK community. That's what i can do: - maintain bitcointalk official Truckcoin thread and keep the OP up to date. - host and update the official site, setup a faucet, maybe some dice game, etc. - run Twitter account, Facebook, etc. - maybe provide some minor updates to the wallet (i'm not a good coder, in case if any serious update needed we will need someone else to work on the code) I'd like to hear from the community, what do you think guys? Sounds good im also not a coder so i cant help u there but i can pay for some giveaways to spread the word. |

please don't make a poll only to satisfy the majority (50% +1). didn't you ever think that this opinion could be potentially wrong? prior to a voting a question should be discussed to highlight all pros and cons.
Yes I did think about it. However with such a dump I am trying to get new investor to want this coin. The most common thing out of their mouth first is what a stupid name. That is why I am entertaining the idea of a possible name change. is this opinion representative? i.e. may be these investors were all from a closed group influenced by some associations? This is very true I do not know. Some of them are just people I have run across. I support tom14 in whatever he wants to do with the coin , he has been putting effort into this coin since the start (more then old dev). Most of the votes have been infavour of a name change. Edit : a better google search removed my suggestion for a name. |

The hacker must not of wanted my coins ON mintpal cuz there still there, i feel left out
Leave em there till the dust settles, and a fork is created. any coin movement from after the attack untíl the client update will be erased. I got some coins in limbo sent to mintpal got comfirmations but never appeared what should i do ? |

Since this is being actively worked on, unlike so many other coins, is it possible to implement an in wallet version upgrade notification, something noticeable, but low key, like a small banner just to let you know there's a newer version of the client being seen on the network?
I remember seeing something like that come up in Maxcoin early on, dunno if it still has that feature. Would be nice to see that feature in many coins...
Ive been thinking the same thing for a awhile a Update feature on the wallet would be Sweet. a crypto First!!  A small warning sign next to the staking Icon and button for a popup window or something to where u will post lastest version would Great to see. |

There are a couple of us in the process of taking this coin over. Stay tuned for more info. There are only 8.5 million of this coin it should not be a 100 sat price.
Not to be captain piss on your parade but wouldn't it be easier to fork your coins you are holding over to HYP like the rest of us? They already have active devs working on the coin and would require very little effort on your part. U know u still have ur truckcoins right captain  the fork meant u got a free Hype forevery trk u held , u didnt lose your Trk coins. U can run both wallets at the same time as long as u assign a port number to one of them , like "hyperstake-qt.exe -port=12345" or do that for trk coin works fine. Right, you know what I meant Point being, this dev is not active. Yes he stated he is busy and it is hard for him to keep up with this coin. That is why Myself and a few others are looking to take this coin over however I am not a dev so we would need one to join the team or we will have to have a donation address to pay for a DEV when one is needed. Currently there is nothing new needed for this coin to work. New feature are nice but not needed to make a coin work. What we need is to develop a market for the coin and market the coin. No, you are right. The client as-is does indeed work. The problem is though, and mind you this is just my opinion, but folks are not going to invest money or electricity in a coin that does not have an active and vocal dev team. The alt scene is so damn inundated in coins right now that even the slightest disadvantage is enough to kill a coin. With that in mind I would strongly recommend you procure a proper coder (or two for that matter) onto your team before doing anything else. Easier said then done, I know, but the rewards would be substantial. +1 Truckcoin needs the dev's (daily) help to succeed, or else needs one or two new devs to take over. +1 agreed. But usually devs wont work for free , id be willing to donate 20k trk to the new dev so they dont have to work for free i hope others will donate as well so we could have a decent incentive. there is also still a 40k bounty to the dev that gets TRK to 5k sat allthough that seems a long way off at this time.(Tom14's idea ive matched his donation 20k from each of us) Id be willing to pay for some giveaways as well but we first need new active dev(s). |

Because the devs gave up, had no time or lost interest. Or they made there btc and left!! Its supposed to be looked after by the community now but I see nothing happening im ASSUMING its now a dead coin. Shame as I had a about .5 btc in it  yes seems so the community take over seems to have failed , If not Post something before it goes to 0 sat. |

what we need at this moment is android wallet. i'm an android developer but i have no experience in raw bitcoin protocol. trying to read and understand coin source now. it would be great if there were some devs doing the same.
It may be good to see if there's an android wallet for some other altcoin to fork and modify for Truckcoin, as writing something from scratch could take ages. +1 |

More people have heard of TRK now since HyperStake, but it's possible to lose some of the TRK community because of that too. Who's still interested in Truckcoin? I am! We need to do some activities (giveaways, etc.), and get more services going (games, stores, etc.). Does anyone here have experience making crypto services?
I am still interested in this coin. They coin works so we really do not need a developer at this time we just need some people who have time and know what they are doing. I have not made any crypto service. I hope we can find some people that know how to work on a coin. +1 |

HyperStake is a great boost for truckcoiners, but let's not let Truckcoin die okay? They are both good coins and after the HyperStake fork, they are not the same coin and are relatively unrelated, except for both having high POS.
+1 very nice of those guys to fork it . yes id also like to see more done with trk ! we could offer bountys as a community for things we would like to see done. tell me what the plan is and ill help ive matched tom14cats incentives but id be willing to part with some more trk if improvements are made. |

This Truck coin wallet is poorly made, everytime i restart (15 times) i gain blocks WTF??F?F?F?
try redownloading the blockchain Move all but your wallet.dat that should work. (you dont have to Delete the files u can just Move them to try this out and move back if it doesnt work.) c:\Users\*yourusername*\appdata\roaming\Truckcoin\ create a temp dir here or somewhere else. **you must turn on Show Hidden files to see the appdata directory. |

this coin is used for pumping TRK?
it will be forked from trk tonight if i understand correctly , all the trk u will have in your wallet at the time of the Fork you will have in HYPE as well. after the fork you will have your trk coin wallet and a Hype wallet. both coins will remain in circulation. after the fork you will copy your wallet .dat from TRK wallet to Hype wallet then for every trk u have in your wallet at you will have a Hype as well. so if u have 10k trk tonight(in your wallet) u will have 10k trk AND 10k hype in 2 different wallets after the fork. you have to install hype wallet and copy the wallet.dat from trk there. your wallet.dat you will find at c:\users\*your username*\appdata\roaming\Truckcoin\wallet.dat and you will have to copy it to c:\users\*your username*\appdata\roaming\Hype (im not 100% it will be named hype but it will be close) |

Why did you fork an existing coin?
After buying into TruckCoin and seeing the diminishing exchange rate because of lack of dev support, we decided to take things into our own hands. We are giving the TRK community a chance to make their coins worth something again. We get to take the coin into our own hands through a voluntary hard fork and we plan on adding many features through time. Join the experiment with us.
If you have TRK right now that you would like to be able to use as HYP, then it will need to be withdrawn from any of the exchanges and held in a wallet. You will then be able to locate the wallet.dat file in the appdata directory in the truckcoin folder. Make a copy of the wallet.dat and copy it over to the hyperstake folder. Note that this does not destroy or transfer your truckcoin or anything like that. If you have TRK before the fork you will essentially double your coins for free.
Wallet
We will release a wallet after the hard fork occurs. We will stake the first forked block and we will checkpoint it into the client, upload the repo, and link everyone to a freshly built wallet.

sounds pretty good only 750% is Very high i think 200% was pushing it allready. the truckcoin dev is onboard with your plan? can we get the current exchanges to change to the new wallet ? else we will just leave a dead coin slot on their exchange maybe they will want to work with us.(they did something similar for Piggy coin i think) other then these few questions i have id like to say thank you taking on this job and what would u want us to do to help promote this coin. can u make a twitter ann please so we can retweet it for starters. i hope the same guy could make a block explorer for this that did the one for truckcoin.(ill donate 1k for the new block explorer)(Bawaler made it last time if i remember correctly) maybe a logo desin contest ill donate 1k HYP to the winner and im sure others will chip in as well. ill donate another 2k to the guy that makes the website. and ill donate 1 btc worth of HYP to the devs when we hit 5k sat like was discussed in the previous thread.
