1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian government changing the state of lotteries on: July 23, 2021, 02:09:56 AM
I think before saying they want to increase revenue sources of the country they should let clear to the population why they want to increase government's income and how it's exactly going to be used.

I think you got it wrong. The Nigerian government announces it. There is no event that a tax increase will take effect right away. It will be first discussed thru the Senate and the equivalent House of Representatives in that country before the approval.

Aside from that, it's not that the government want to increase revenue source. They just saw gambling is performing good even in times of pandemic so they want to regulate it. The more they can shutdown illegal lotteries, the more it will benefit the legit ones.
1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: July 23, 2021, 01:50:22 AM
The demand for Axies has been growing insanely for the past couple of months, and that led to the increased prices. With the announced events the demand will grow even more, and so will the prices. Can’t that result in the reduction of players in the end?

I don't understand your statement. What's the connection of a few players later on or price topic on Axie including in E-sports?

The topic is clearly if Axie will be listed soon on Sportsbook since it will now take in E-esports.

It's not just about Axie players as everyone can take part in the betting, even those who don't know what Axie is but just riding a betting tip.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 20, 2021, 11:55:06 PM
Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?

There is no hidden Science to that. Just called it you are lucky at some point and bad luck on the other hand.

How about just following it for nowsince looks like it's effective for you in the long run. But soon you will realize and understand that it won't always be the case.

It's just a: coincidence; maybe you just told us that's always the case but in reality, it's not; it only happened just a few times so you think that's always the situation.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 20, 2021, 11:34:47 PM
What I still don't get is aren't all these gambling companies set up in a way such that they pay low taxes anyway?

There's a fixed tax rate for that. But the government saw that the gambling industry is heavily operational and demand during pandemic, in most parts of the globe, so they take advantage of it by imposing an additional tax. Not really a problem for gambling operators as long as it was reasonable to impose and have a legal basis for it to take action.

Once the country finally recovers its former economic state before the pandemic, there should be a discussion for another tax adjustment pointing to gambling.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big companies finally had enough of the excessive tax on: July 20, 2021, 08:50:38 PM
I am not 100% sure whether Las Vegas fully closed its doors, but what I do know is that gambling in Las Vegas hit an all time high in the beginning of 2021! Cheesy

Vegas casinos got closed. If I remember it right, Vegas was one with the most number of confirmed cases in the US.

They are in-talk here in this forum section during the pandemic last year wherein their Mayor wants to open the casinos despite the large cases as former USA President Trump itself was in favor of the Mayor's plan.

People freaked out when they reopened their doors fully. It was crowded anyway, but who would have thought they will bounce back with an all time high?

People miss the entertainment part of their life. It's hard to fight mental stress during pandemic.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 20, 2021, 07:29:30 PM
Here on our country where its already a mandated thing for you to do so on where you should take a vaccine and there are rumors that citizens who wont be accepting or get themselves vaccined are to be penalized or something like that which it turns out to be not that good or appealing since we do have our own personal rights in terms of our choices.
Is this legit or serious? What's your country?

Curious to know what country is this too. Searching the internet, I have also found no one.

Here in our country, vaccination is not mandatory but the government highly encourages the public to get vaccinated and be protected against preventable disease as per Health Department. I think that was against human rights for those people that don't like to be vaccinated because it has a penalty or violation for not getting a vaccine. The vaccine should be a choice.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 20, 2021, 07:03:34 PM
What do you think about staking on over 1.5 and over 2.5 on international friendlies (both country and club friendlies)? Or do you prefer to go for straight win or draw?

Sometimes I will simply skip at those matches because no analyzation was needed there. I can wait for another competitive match.

If there will be a case that I really need to bet at these friendly matches, I'd rather choose the around @1.5 odds because since it's a friendly match, I doubt the underdogs will push a win against the favorites even the former will not give their all.

Simple as that.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 16, 2021, 11:56:04 PM
The PBA live coverage on Facebook will be broadcasted on these pages:

https://www.facebook.com/SMARTSportsPhilippines
https://www.facebook.com/pusopilipinas

I've checked both Facebook pages and I saw the live videos of the first games. Nice information, thanks. We are just used to watch on One Sports Facebook page or on their Youtube Channel but they aren't doing it anymore.

I will also bookmark those pages. Is it just me but these pages are new to me but they are legit sports group pages. Why I didn't even read it shared by someone on my newsfeed.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 16, 2021, 11:38:09 PM
Brook Lopez and Jrue Holiday are still silent in the series.

What if they will return on the good performance status like what they did against the Brooklyn Nets.

Phoenix Suns are just comfortable because of their Game 1 and 2 wins. They know they can't stop Giannis so they focused more on it not knowing other Bucks will step up. Game 4, Phoenix Suns was carried alone by Booker meaning the defense of Bucks to his teammates is working.
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 16, 2021, 11:21:09 PM
May be Manny Pacquiao is a heavy underdog because Errol Spence Jr is from US and he is young and every odd makers think that he is going to win easily and there is a reason for that because is getting old and he might not be performing at his best at this age.

That's not the basis of favorites and underdogs. Odds providers are always looking at the current state of a boxer and on which Errol Spence Jr is currently on prime while Manny is doing and focused on several things at the same time.

Keith Thurman was also the favorite on Manny's last fight.

Betting on Manny  Pacquiao is worth a try.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian government changing the state of lotteries on: July 16, 2021, 11:03:53 PM
Didn't lotteries already have legal status in Nigeria? In that case, that is not that much of a change

No, it will be a big change. Hard regulations mean much more strict implementations.

I'm guessing tax will be modified to cover the government losses during the pandemic. I'm also expecting strict licensing and requirements for the new lottery business to prevent the operation of those who don't want to be regulated. Not complying will be tagged as illegal.

I like the government's ways of taking steps to take advantage of the growth of lotteries there. I just hope the result will be good.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 16, 2021, 10:39:02 PM
He trashed talk anyone, not only Donaire but he still gets the support of Filipino fans.

I think we are reading on a different page. Try to browse some sports groups on Facebook and browse during the time of the controversy between Casimero and Donaire. Casimero is heavily criticized by the commenters and I only saw a few people supporting Casimero.

Their point is, Casimero might be popular in the Philippines but globally, he's just a medium fry that's why people want him to be humble as he didn't even reach yet a big stardom in his career even he is a titleholder.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 16, 2021, 10:23:04 PM
Yeah, it did not happen because of some controversy, they should have not announced it if they will just cancel it. It's all Donaire's fault, he is too soft with trash-talked, he should have silent Caimero in the ring if he wants him to be respected.

Your statement is not valid as you didn't know the whole story. Try to read the source of the issue so you will be enlightened. Donaire is the one who challenges and sets the fight with Casimero so there's no reason for canceling unless it was a personal and big private matter.

Look at how Casimero is silent on the issue because their camp will be in a bad image as they know the mistake they did. The promoters and organizers can't even do anything to fix the problem. Boxing champ Inoue even sides with Nonito as he understands the situation.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 15, 2021, 11:48:18 PM
I miss those days where the big crowds are allowed. In other countries, they have already allowed a large audience to the venue. I'm sure not all people there are vaccinated and they still have lots of confirmed cases everyday makes me think that virus treats as a business Cheesy It's more tolerable compare to before and seems like ordinary flu.

I'm expecting the PBA will run smoothly since last year, even in a strict bubble setup, some people inside still got contracted with the virus.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vegas Casinos to allow Cannabis Lounges. on: July 15, 2021, 07:16:38 PM
Most people already gamble on online casinos, you need to offer some good stuff to bring them back to the real life casinos.

Then why Las Vegas is now turning to what it should be prior to the pandemic?

The usual and regular customers will surely back to the Vegas gambling haven no matter what on which they don't experience playing in online casinos. They are just waiting for the pandemic situation to be fully controlled or make sure that their country already reached great numbers of vaccinated people.

No need to add some cool stuff just to attract again those people to get back gambling physically.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 15, 2021, 07:02:35 PM
The missing key for the Bucks this Finals, Khris Middleton. After a worst performance on Game 1 and 2, he erased the thinking of his doubters.

Playing infront of a thousands Bucks audience fans, that gives him the adrenalin to step up on the game.

Want to see him playing that kind of ballgame as an Away team on Game 5.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 14, 2021, 11:46:56 PM
There is no specific budget for me as long as I feel to gamble.

I can't even imagine myself setting the right budget everytime I gamble as I'm sure it won't follow properly especially if I'm on a winning or losing streak.

I'd rather focus on maintaining my winning stats compare to thinking of how much should I bet for today, tomorrow, or in the future.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 14, 2021, 11:30:29 PM
I dont see for this to be an eas y fight even Rigondeaux isnt really that aggressive but he wont reach out those stats or numbers for nothing. So he shouldnt really be that too confident.

Casimero always likes to do trashtalking which is not typical for a PH boxer. He already trashtalk Naoya Inoue before even there is still no plan they will be fighting each other someday. He even trashtalk a fellow PH boxer.

According to some close people around Casimero, he is a good and kind person in real life. He just feels that whenever he has an upcoming fight, it won't generate good revenue and PPVs so in return, he is marketing himself by creating sounds thru trashtalk.

He can be a valuable boxer and the community will surely watch him, even globally, just by defeating those big names. No need for trashtalk but if that's his style then we can't do something about it. He just needs to prove it in the actual fight.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 14, 2021, 11:15:23 PM
What do you think of sexy casinos? Do you think it's a good thing? Have you ever tried any? What is your favorite one?

I was confused by the question "what is your favorite one"? Grin

Casino games that involved some nudity or adult rated? I didn't know one actually as most gambling casinos don't have a game like that, at least on what we see on most casinos in the Gambling section here.

Can you give us an example or a list?
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Million dollar win on $15 parlay whoa on: July 13, 2021, 10:47:37 PM
Parlay bets are most difficult to win and this london based bettor is indeed lucky to become millionare.

It just becomes difficult if your parlay is composed of too many bets and high odds. There are parlays wherein you can stay low at @1.2-1.3 odds for about 4 bets and a total odds for up to @1.8-@2. Not bad.

The case on the winner on this topic was an insane set of parlay that I doubt most of us here will do. Cheesy

How could anyone be so lucky to predict all of them correctly.

Our time will come too. Just bet and bet. Smiley
