I spent too much time researching some of the questions compared to the previous rounds and I hope this time I could get better results as I need to get my second win and stop missing out on some points.  Grin

BOL to my opponent joker_josue, both of us will need all those three points to move away from the bottom three.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 27, 2023, 01:19:54 AM
I would say Cloud 9 has the better chances right ?
I was also expecting Cloud9 would come out on top as they had a clean form during the group stage but Faze's map pool is too much for them to handle and it showed when Faze manage to steal their first map pick Overpass.

WEU dotes are on the menu later today, I tried to recommend Team Liquid on the other thread and their odds are still in a good spot to bet when their opponent (Tundra) doesn't seem to be on the same level recently.

Team Nigma would've been a value bet but their odds already shifted from 2.35 to 1.45 and I think it's close enough when OG is losing most of their series and all of them are 2-0s.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: March 27, 2023, 12:43:05 AM
I really need a clarification on this. Is chasing looses in gambling same as looking for closure because i recently read an article on reddit where the poster said that he will gamble untill he wins just to look for closure. I have been thinking about this for sometime now because closure has the same characteristics with chasing looses which is even when the gambler is loosing he will still be gambling just to recover all his looses.
Nope, that closure can be almost anything the gambler prefers for example playing one more round then regardless of the outcome, he'll quit for good. But his closure of winning something back before walking away is indeed similar to chasing losses because the user already mentioned he can't win all of his losses back in one go. Also, these wins happen unexpectedly it can be in the next session or several sessions after and that mindset of wanting to win is likely going to give him more losses before he can get that one last win.

They were better when ATF was still with them. And now, nothing seems to work for them. I do not know if they are just bad because of the current META or if they have to restructure again. Nothing seems to be working for them.
I don't think it's about the patch as some of the teams already showed the effectiveness of some heroes after receiving certain nerfs. IMO it's simply the players underperforming individually because it's always punishing for the supports no matter how good they are when the cores can't put up a similar performance and the cores can easily offset that issue if it's just the supports but the bad part is that it's the whole team.

Also, the grand finals matchup on the ESL Pro League will be fun to watch, I want Cloud9 to win as I think they should be the favorites when they got better form compared to Faze but this bo5 format favors Faze with their wider map pool.

That last-minute goal from Wales was so unfortunate and the Norway question would've been my only point for today if it wasn't voided.

I'm likely back to the relegation zone since my fourth loss will be on the way after the last question later today and advance congrats to mitchr4 for the well-fought win.  Wink
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: March 25, 2023, 03:46:17 PM
I'll be backing both of my BSFL predictions for today, I need Spain to tighten their defense today and Croatia to get their first win for a total of 2.73 odds.

Tbh I could potentially see Croatia fumbling here as I still think Wales is a decent team that can dish out a goal but I hope it'll be a close win as that's my specific prediction on their match.  Grin

1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 25, 2023, 02:01:49 AM
What do you think about casino site algorithms?  Are they cheating with us?
Most likely the answer is no as the house edge is mostly the one doing the work and that one session is just unlucky as most gamblers have probably been through the same situation.

With live casino games, there might not be any way to verify their fairness but it's still hard to think they're cheating as I assume they're being monitored similar to how games from third-party providers are being inspected to confirm they're fair.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pastor Shuts Down His Church After Winning About $140,000 In Sports Betting.. on: March 25, 2023, 01:29:42 AM
Now my question is, As a business or as a career person who is also into gambling/betting, would you quit your current business or career if you won the same amount of money from gambling/betting?
Be sincere and state your reasons for your decision..
In my current position, I probably wouldn't drop everything i'm involved in but if I was in his shoes with the same business and all then yes I would do the same as I think that money can be used to look for a better business or career.

It's unfortunate for the church members but based on the source you've mentioned it seems understandable that he closed it down since it was operating for the sake of money instead of its actual purpose.

What a surprising win from Monaspa and OG with a disappointing performance as now they're the only team with one series win and potentially become the first team to get relegated unless they somehow find their footing in the next few days and beat both Team Nigma and Entity.

This might be a good spot to fade OG in their last two series as Team Nigma looked decent this week and Entity's wins are convincing enough to put them above OG.

Also, the odds are good on Team Liquid beating Tundra as it's now hovering around 1.78, I think it should go down even further as I don't see Tundra winning this series after that sloppy loss against Ooredoo.

I need OG to win 2-0 as well next to win my acca. I got close to 9 odds with only two game on my acca which is pretty great
That would've been a good win if only OG delivered but I guess it's time to put them on the blacklist or fade them in their last two series.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking advantage of bonuses - what do you think about this? on: March 24, 2023, 02:40:17 PM
In the video, the minimum bet required is $5 but with the small number of players in the leaderboard and 200 prizes up for grabs i'd say it's worth it for now. As long as the leaderboard doesn't change much after that round then they're one step closer to securing some good profit since the prizes are good even the minimum prize which is 151-200th place will still give you $10 worth and that's still twice as the minimum bet which could cover your losses.

Then again though it only takes one big bet to take over the first place or one of the top spots since there's no maximum bet mentioned.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 24, 2023, 01:12:26 AM
This is pretty silly upset because of that I didnt land my acca. Sucks when you know that Tundra was the clear favourites by miles then somehow they decided to lose 2-0 to OT which is pretty weird.
Yup, it reminds me of their shakiness during Tour 1 when it seems like they can win with ease but the reality is they struggle to win 2-0 against the weaker teams.

In the second match of the day, we will be watching the Vitality-Ence struggle. Currently Vitality is 7-4 ahead on the nuke map and the nuke map is the map chosen by the ence team.I expect Vitality to be the winner.
Vitality did win Nuke but ENCE bounced back hard on the next two maps to win the series and eliminate Vitality from the tournament. Cloud9 will be their next opponent and the h2h says it all as they've lost every series.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 24, 2023, 12:37:06 AM
Really strange stats, because in other pages its Italy over by far, and what i see in the game the second half was pure Italy.

Italy fucked me i back them and they lose agains england because of a really poor first half.

I hope to recover in the following questions.
Same here, I was relying on Italy to push me ahead of the h2h but now they set me back by 2 points and it's back to chasing once more.  Tongue

The matches later today will be my best chance to catch up and if I don't come out on top I might be looking at my fourth loss.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: March 24, 2023, 12:06:38 AM
I've bet on the last two elections so i'm most likely going to bet on the next election once we're near the date of the event. The only thing that might stop me from betting is probably the shift in odds as it can be discouraging to take very low odds but that only happens when you wait too long or once the partial results are revealed, I remember it happened during the previous elections and some sportsbooks would still continue to put up live odds.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual Betting/ Real bet on: March 23, 2023, 03:10:06 PM
If there is such thing as manipulation in virtual sports then there must be proof but it's not easy to find one when they're very similar to sports betting. It's normal to see a bunch of favorites lose once in a while as i've seen countless favorites that should've won on paper and then still lose in the end.

Sorry for this is kind of off-topic. In-play bets may seem simple, but they are easy to lose, I hope you know that? Taking 15 in-play matches would have little likely chances to win. They only seem simple.
That's not off-topic since OP also wanted to compare his bets on both sides. Anyway, I agree with you it's not easy to live bet when some matches can quickly shift and finish the other way around.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 23, 2023, 02:49:40 AM
Just watched the matches which occurred today during the ESL tournament and there were some upsets.
Team Liquid got their asses handed to them by PaIN gaming and it was not pretty at all.
They made them look like they didn't deserve to be there at all and to be a tier 1 team. They looked very pathetic playing in the match.
Navi looked sharp and so did G2 esports so they will advance into the later stage brackets and shouldn't worry one bit getting to the in finals as the tournament winds down this weekend.
Speaking of upsets another one just happened earlier and it's on G2 as they lost 0-2 against ENCE. Congrats to whoever backed ENCE during this series as I remember seeing their odds around 5.2 while G2 were the heavy favs at 1.15.

After watching Navi win their match earlier today, S1mple was shown what CS:GO Source 2 was going to look like.
The blooms were amazing and the environment interaction with nades to the smoke was uncanny.

It took them a very long time but I think the day has finally arrived - Summer 2023
I also saw the announcement earlier thanks to the streamers covering it and overall it looks great.
1819  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrobetting.eu - Unmatched BTC Betting and Entertainment 🎰📈🏀⚾🏈⚽ on: March 23, 2023, 01:59:01 AM
Can you add usdt to the platform
That's possible but they're unlikely going to add any other cryptocurrency to their platform since they've been sticking to purely bitcoin even on their other sportsbook back then.

I understand that every casino has their different ways of promoting their brand, but personally I prefer a casino that is active on the forum in solving the problem, then you can expect a better online experience. Because it shows that they care about their customers.

These are just my thoughts.
I agree it's better to answer the VPN question here since there are probably a bunch of users that would ask the same question due to their geo-restriction.
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 23, 2023, 12:27:47 AM
Ooredoo Thunders with another upset and got their second series win after taking down Tundra 2-0. The first game was a huge outdraft by Ooredoo Thunders as Tundra ran out of options and just went with an Enigma last pick against Rubick and Silencer. The second game was similar to the first game and it felt like another outdraft with the Venomancer offlane doing work against Tundra's Ursa and they can't do much to stop them. Before the series started I had Tundra -1.5 then I suddenly went for another bet after seeing Tundra's state in the first game and luckily the next game wasn't any different.  Cheesy

Also, congrats to Old G and PuckChamp for winning the closed qualifier and securing the two new spots for the upcoming DPC WEU Tour 2 Division 2. I would've bet on this match if I've seen more markets available but unfortunately, the only lines I saw at the time were winner markets that are around 1.10-1.20.
