But the very reason to use a blockchain at all, is to enable a decentralized currency. For a centralized application, a traditional database is far more efficient.

i think we we can not separate blockchain and bitcoin, if dubai interesting to adoption bitcoin technology, in future im sure bitcoin have biggest chance to be a legal currency due the blockchain adoption reason in currecny system. i know it's really bad idea to make decentralization currency get legal certified, but if we see all fact of bitcoin adoption we will trust in future bitcoin can survive. Their are lot of exchanges where you can do altcoin and bitcoin trading , i am using yobit, bittrex and polonix for bitcoin trading but for altcoin i use most of all exchanges as new coin are launching on which exchange cannot say. according to the altcoin i use the exchanges and immediately after doing trading i just withdraw my bitcoins as some exchanges are not safe to keep bitcoins in their wallet.
