902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest way to store your bitcoins? on: May 23, 2017, 06:48:41 AM
I am using Desktop Wallet Electrum which is very good and strong only passphrass is enough to store the wallet and when ever you want you can restore the wallet using this passphrase only. Only you have to check that the computer which you are using should not be affected by any virus
903  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is gonna die soon! on: May 23, 2017, 06:39:47 AM
None of the above, I have been using bitcoin only for 2 months and guess what, no matter what problems it faced bitcoin continues to grow, there is a probability in what you state but the chances of these things going to happen is too low, it may drop its value but it only means more demand will be its counterpart.

What you are telling is true but until the transaction delay and transaction fees problem are not solved i dont think that bitcoin will be strong for long time, if the current problem is not solved soon then i think more users will start to shift to other altcoins which are going strong like ETH
904  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transactions! on: May 22, 2017, 09:22:49 PM
You transaction are not confirmed due to very low fees as the current fees i more then 200 sat/kb and below this all transaction are pending and after some time you will get the refund.

If you want you can check this link where you will get full details about how to solve the unconfirmed transaction soon.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.0, in this link you will get full details
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: May 22, 2017, 03:28:45 PM
Malaga vs real Madrid
Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last eight games against Malaga, that is with six wins and two draws. The last time Malaga won against Madrid was on December of 2012. With Madrid needing just a single point to clinch the title today. Am confident of an away win or draw for them.

Barcelona vs Eibar
Barcelona needs to win and pay that Madrid loses their game Malaga as well which seems highly unlikely. With five straight victories over Eibar there is no doubt this is going to be another victory for the Catalan side.
Maybe not such an easy win for the Catalan side. ;(
I would of put some on Eibar to win with the odds at over 34.66 right before the match.
And with Pena almost putting one in before the half it looks like they are putting on the pressure and actually think they can win at camp nou.

This year was to show that no matter how heroic your comeback is, in the end it will make no difference.

Today, from 0-2 to 4-2, and no title.

In Champions League, after coming back from 4-0, they got eliminated by Juventus

Dude, Eibar are 2-1 up and it's left with 15 minutes, hope you placed your bets on the 34.66 odd? This is crazy and Messi jus missed a penalty to equalize proceedings. Sad for Barcelona.

In the meantime, Messi scored a penalty and Eibar got a red card. Was that fair, or are Barcelona again lucky with the referee's calls?
(I'm watching through whoscored, not live)
That was a messed game. A messi-ed game. Cheesy
Suerez of course scored. @75 min.

They are still losers in my eyes. Tongue
yeah getting back into the game did not change things for Barcelona and i think it was a waste despite coming back from a 2-0 loss situation.  I hope that this game will be a reminder for Barcelona that no matter what are you behind if you believe in yourself you wil success i was goad to see Real Madrid winning the league one more time after a five years not getting  too many chances to win the league . And Zidane really getting lucky with the team with them winnkng the Championsleague for second season in row they will be making history.

This year was to show that no matter how heroic your comeback is, in the end it will make no difference.

Today, from 0-2 to 4-2, and no title.

In Champions League, after coming back from 4-0, they got eliminated by Juventus

Ya true that even after winning with this much score Barcelona have lost the LA LIGA title and even they have lost the champions league, on the other hand Real Madrid showed and spirit of game and winning the LA LIGA title, and mostly they will win the champions league also.
906  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Change addresses on: May 22, 2017, 02:51:18 PM
Hi

Noob here. I was reading about how some people have lost bitcoins because they do not understand change addresses. These articles talked about the danger but did not explain the solution clearly.

Can someone help clarify the following for me:

1. Unspent coin goes to a change address. Can I specify this change address?, i.e. create a new wallet and direct the change there? If so, is there an opportunity during a payment transaction to specify the change address I want to use?

2. I've setup Electrum on Tails (the wallet lives in permanent storage). Will Electrum remember my wallet/transactions when I power down?

3. Does Electrum handle all the change/change addresses for me so I don't have to worry about it?

Thanks.

Ya Electrum keeps record of all your address spent and not spent , even you can see that in which address how many transaction you have done and how much value you have spent on that address.
907  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin Transfers always Unconfirmed on: May 22, 2017, 02:44:24 PM
Hello everyone,
I am new to the bitcoin world, and I have a problem. It has been a week that I am going over hundreds forum to try to find a solution. Nothing changes
Problem is : everytime I want to make a transaction, it is unconfirmed. I have to wait about 3 to 4 days until transaction cancels and I get money back.
Of course, I used a high Bitcoin fee (within 2 blocks) : 2.68607mBTC/kB
I also am running the newest version of Electrum, I have enabled Dynamics Fees, and Increased fee once. Nothing changes ...
It's 4th time I am trying to complete transaction, nothing works.
Please help
Thank you for your time
bbboe

What are exact bitcoin wallet you using? If you are using blockchain wallet, Then try to find another wallet because blockchain wallet has some issue. Electrum might work for you. And it is usual nowadays for a transaction to be unconfirmed for a duration time even if you use high fee because of scaling problem of BTC. You might experience changes in the few days due to SegWit activation. Hope so. Smiley

First properly read the OP comment as he clearly mentioned that he is using Electrum and even tried with latest version also.

I am also facing the same problem and my transaction is stuck for more then 5 days and it is still not got cancelled and today i made one more transaction with highest fee and more then 3 hrs still it is pending. I dont know what is going to happen.
908  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Do You Buy Your Bitcoins? on: May 22, 2017, 02:38:25 PM
I can see now that Bitcoin hits historic all time highs, I think is about time I buy myself a few.

i personally buy my bitcoins mainly from localbitcoins because it's safe, anonymous and easy. Literally all you need to do to get your coins is to open a trade, you know you're not going to get scammed as long as you follow the instructions because the coins are held in escrow while you make the deposit, you transfer the coins to the seller and the seller releases.

It's simple as that. No need for KYC or AML requirements. It's pure P2P trade that bitcoin was designed for.

Anyways good luck with buying your first coins, it's always exciting. However this thread probably better belongs in the trading discussions forum.

I agree with you that localbitcoins is best, as the security measures of this exchange is high and very safe to trade it. Even some time you will get the high rate from the users who are in need of bitcoin in urgent.
909  Other / Meta / Re: How to become full_Member? on: May 22, 2017, 01:55:22 PM
Yes 1 post is 1 activity, but you can only get 14 activity every two weeks every post more than 14 in this period won't raise your activity, which doesn't mean you should stop posting for example if you're discussing something in some very hot topic. That means you can post every day and get 1 activity a day or you can post 14 times in one day, come back in two weeks and do it again, though I don't see a point to this Cheesy

It's all very well explained in that thread about the ranks people showed you.
If i done the 28 act. today and after 2 weeks i post 14 more activity will i rank up?

Ya you will rank up only on the said activity points after only the rank changes, i think the link given gives you full details about how many activity points needed for each rank so on every 14 days you will get 14 points so just add this and calculate it that how much activity points needed for each rank to go up and you have to post according to it. be active on the forum itself will give you more information about it.
910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should be decentralized even further on: May 22, 2017, 08:57:01 AM
So many people are looking at china and are anxious that they have a greater control in terms of mining and pools. Though not many people realise that even with supercomputers such is the case, they overshadow USA in such things:
https://www.wired.com/2016/06/fastest-supercomputer-sunway-taihulight/

So i am not at all surprised that that is the case with Bitcoin.

It would be nice if a pool could not gain more than 10% control of the network, though in time when Bitcoin becomes more popular it will start spreading into businesses, peoples wallets and similar which should help. Because of its immense power now, Bitcoin will be going through many attacks of people trying to gain control of its network.

i am not sure what you are trying to say with the supercomputer news, do you think someone is going to use a supercomputer to mine bitcoin? is that it, i don't think it is even possible and if it was it would be waste of resources! and a supercomputer is not something you can buy at a computer shop it usually is only one!

also the pools are not the problem, if miners aren't happy with a pool they will simply switch to another or start a new one and gather around in that new pool.
the problem is the farms and the fact that manufacturing of ASICs is also in China.

My point is that people always say "ah we should watch out, China has control" not realising something more important such as the most powerful supercomputers are also in the hands of China. So if they have the most powerful supercomputer, having the most powerful group of miners should not be so surprising.

Also China produces most of the worlds products. Why again is the fact that they also produce miners of a surprise again? This is how it has been for a long time. They worked hard to catch up with the rest of the world, and now they are slowly surpassing everyone on many levels. Though none of this is a expression on my behalf that the mining power should be centralised, just a acceptance of where China has reached.
This is what world think but no one knows that the miner owner by outsider of china and they are. Controlling it they are just set the miner setup in china for low cost in maintenance
911  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot spend full electrum balance? on: May 22, 2017, 06:36:05 AM
This always happens when you are using electrum for desktop, as i am also using it and i am also not able to send fully but what is the maximum if you send it then you will see that your wallet wont show that balance as that is the transaction fees which is sent with the transaction.
912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not anywhere close to a BUBBLE - Altcoins are in a BUBBLE! on: May 21, 2017, 08:20:54 PM
Eh, I'm interested in holding paper money.  It's true that bitcoin (currently) is offering a far greater return than cash money, but how long is it going to be before we get a huge correction?  If you don't think this price rise has bubble-character, you're out of your mind.  I'm hoping we go much higher, but rising too fast just historically isn't good.  What goes up must come down--eventually.
What you are telling about the price going down it is correct but their wont be major correction because most of them are ready to buy back on correction. This price rise is due to the country starting to accept bitcoin as currency and started to implement bitcoin as legal in their country
913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: May 21, 2017, 08:15:29 PM
Oh man, and now IOU price rose to 0.001. I just wanted to invest another 2-3 BTC for 0.0007 and now its gone Cheesy Good for the buyers.

In Liqui the price is running at 0.007 so if you are still interested to buy then you can do it immediately as you are expecting this will runnout of buying soon and it will go back to high price.

Now this some days are not able to wait as the date is nearing soon. but still the process of releasing the bounty coin is not given. I hope that the bounty coins will be distributed soon and not delayed more like other ICO coins are doing.
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin ever replace conventional money? on: May 21, 2017, 08:10:09 PM
Crypto will definitely replace conventional paper money. Every government is already investigating it. Govs will have their version which will suck but then we will have our real money crypto like bitcoin.

If every government starts their own coins to trade then it will became same like fiat currency where each country have their own fiat currency and its value. So i think this idea wont work and it will only kill the coins developed and in the final Bitcoin will only be their to lead it.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 21, 2017, 08:08:29 PM
This is why people think that matches in Indian premier league are fixed. Can't do anything except not to bet on a twenty twenty match. Does anyone else felt that it was fixed??

Don't know but the game was going well till the 19.1 over and then they just lost the match. Dhoni got out for such a small score but still I had hope with Smith being there but when he got out, the match was done and dusted. It looked like a fixed match then as losing by just 1 run is too depressing and that too in the finals. I would love to believe it's fixed now rather than considering that they truly lost the match by 1 run.
It is a slow pitch, anything would have possible, if it is not losing by 1 run, it may result in tie and to super over. I guess super over must be leading to Mumbai Indians a big advantage as Bumbrah could bowl a tight over whereas Pollard may score up to 20 runs in one over.

I am not seeing it was fixed, Pune tried hard till last ball. It happens. This is not first time a T20 match ended by short of 1 run.

If you thoroughly go through the match then you can find that what ever shots pune batsman were playing they were just throwing the wicket by hitting the ball in air without force giving only that much force which can lead ball to the fielders hand.  What so ever next year both PUNE and  GUJARAT team are not going to play and CHENNAI and RAJASTHAN are back in the IPL 11.

Congrats to Mumbai Indians winning 3rd time IPL Finale and competing with CSK
916  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Liberalcoins: The next generation of local cryptocurrency trading has arrived on: May 21, 2017, 08:02:07 PM
Just looked your project and i am feeling that your site is very complicated and most of the common traders wont be able to trade as no details about the site how it works and what you site is about.

Whether you have build the exchange trading site like yobit, poloniex or you are trying to build the exchange selling coins site like localbitcoins. Nothing can be understandable by just looking to your site.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: May 21, 2017, 07:50:46 PM
I save bitcoin for future because i'm not a silly person to enjoy short term things while i can enjoy them for a long term things like having a house and a nice car and having a financial freedom, It is best to wait than to enjoy worthless things like latest gadgets and other stuff. So i save for the future purposes.

What you are saying is true but the same applies that if you are earning good in you day job then you can take bitcoin as investment and what every you earn you can keep it as an investment for your long term dreams to fulfill. but for the users who are not getting sufficient income through day job for them bitcoin earning is like getting freedom from your worries of expenses.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: May 21, 2017, 07:42:17 PM
https://www.vdice.io Is the minimum bet 0.22 ETH that seems a bit high?
Yes you have got the good point, vdice have to lower this down 0.22 at current exchange rate counts $20 which is really high minimum for players.
Also maximum bet for 19x multiplier is only 0.44 ETH which is very low limit compared to other normal bitcoin/altcoin dice sites.

Maybe they haven't taken the recent points into consideration to reduce the minimum bet amount. They should immediately do it otherwise they may lose a lot of smaller bets from many people. Including me, I don't want to bet so much of each game. It better to reduce as soon as possible.

I think the minimum betting amount should be decreased and people should be given the opportunity of betting with any amount they wish. Many people cant afford big betting amounts and i think Vdice is for all people and not only for the Rich.
I am sure things will be back to normal soon and site will take decision in the favor of the players.

It has already been talked about many times, and it's not that they are ignoring because the management has already given a statement where they said that they will surely consider this and change it to lower minimum bets to be in "favor of players", but they are currently focused on their new game release and that's actually an exciting part too for the website as well as tokens, so getting panic about it won't change anything but we should wait.

No, I'm getting panic about the minimum bet but I said that if we delay the implementation then many potential players site may miss.

Yes, I saw the new game announcement and it looks quite interesting to try this new game.

Ya it is true that as the price is increasing the minimum bet should be get down as now most of the gamblers cannot afford to bet high as most of them are following the bankroll system and it should not disturb them, if not then the gamblers will go and find the alternative games to bet instead of this site.

Launching a new game it is very good one. Best of luck for it.

Barcelona have done it once again and now they are 3-2 in lead i had my bet on correct score of 3-2 and 4-2 hoping they make one more goal so that i can win today good.

in Real madrid if they score 4-1 then it will be a bingo weekend
