1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 15, 2022, 05:29:23 PM

It is interesting because he will expect to entertain his fans once more, most are expecting that it will going to be an easy fight for
him and he will be finishing Ortiz with his classic fighting style.

There are lot of opinions about his next step, but all will be concluded after the result of this comeback fight.

I hope he will not fail our expectations, I think this fight is just like a tune up fight before a big fight, just like what Ryan Garcia did when he comes back to boxing. Well, we know how technical Lomachenko is, if he will use that effectively in this fight, it should be easy for him, however, we might not see a KO if Ortiz won't be desperate enough to KO Lomachenko.

Ryan Garcia's situation is somehow different to Lomachenko because Ryan fought an unknown local boxer named Tagoe and Fortuna who is already a veteran that has nothing to lose, the latter is fighting an aspiring boxing superstar with a clean undefeated record. What I'm trying to say is that Ortiz might be an underrated boxer in our eyes but let's now lose our vision here because Lopez also had that situation before he defeated Loma.

Well, you have a point, Loma needs to bring his A-Game in this fight still, he cannot be too complacent here. For me, I believe Loma is going to have an impressive win, it's his comeback fight, he understands that he needs to make a noise for him to have a big fight next.

Having said that, we can expect that Loma will do anything in his power to send a message in his comeback but that is not guaranteed for now as I'm not that sure because Ortiz might surprise us. He needed to win badly if he wants to continue in building his legacy, he still have a chance as well as Ortiz. I'd say this will be a fun match to see.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 15, 2022, 12:46:20 PM

Because his chances are not the same anymore just like his power, speed and defense maneuvers. He cannot hide that fact that he is already old even if he's still fight in exhibitions, he will have the ring rust effect if he will choose to deal with the likes of Pacquiao nowadays, a May-Pac fight is profitable but knowing Mayweather, he doesn't want to get embarrassed from being defeated.

He doesn't really taste defeated ever since so what do you think he would feel if he gets defeated by Manny Pacquaio, or any boxer there is or should I say a Youtuber or an MMA fighter defeating Mayweather that level of embarrassment he would feel, because he hasn't experienced it at all, so experiencing it now could be a different effect for him, I'd say I'd really like to see that he gets embarrassed by a non-boxer inside the ring and the sports that he loves so much, I really want to see his reaction, and what would he feel,

That is true and I admire him for that because up to this day, he's still clever enough to know what should he do that is right and what is not, considering the hundreds of millions they can acquire if they decide to have a second dance in the ring. Bottomline is he cannot risk the ½ of ³ defeated af this point knowing how competitive Pacman is.

He is good in picking the fight that he will be taking, for sure if ever that a huge noise will created to push him to face Pacman again he will continue to ignore it, knowing that at this point of his physical condition he can't matchup with Pacman's capabilities, until now, there are still people who are questioning his win, we can remove the fact that Pacman's supporters believes that Pacman win that fight, with those numbers of throw punches and converted, though there's no way to contest that judgement and it will remain the same since both fighters/legends are now retired.

Well, there are indeed some doubts and that they believe Mayweather didn't deserved that win because Pacquiao outboxed him, mosty are fans of Pacquiao and the others were an independent but the noise they made that time created an issue that is why a remactch should happen but it didn't happen because Mayweather is not letting it. That will only remain a history and we can't do anything about that because we can't have the time go backwards.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 15, 2022, 12:26:12 PM
I’m watching this Nets/Bucks preseason game and Ben Simmons has 6 points and 6 assists at the end of the first quarter. I’m usually in agreement with Doris Burke, but she’s talking about his stat line and I’m watching the game… Ben has been missing defensive assignments, not going for rebounds, not rolling off the screen, and passing up open jump shots. I actually think he looks pretty bad out there, but he’ll probably get a first half triple double…
Simmons ended up with 7 points, 8 rebounds and   10 assists. Not bad knowing that he isn't 100% and at least he is doing what he really wants to do, and it is to pass and pass the ball. It's good to see him playing again now with a different team.

Unlike when he is in Philly when they want him to shoot threes, I guess he doesn't need to do it now that he is in Brooklyn because the roster is loaded with offensive players like Kyrie, KD, O'neal, Harris and Curry. I think he will be comfortable now because they will not oblige him to shoot because as a point guard of the team, the main objective is to carry the ball and to pass to an open teammate.

The Nets won by 10 points. It's only a pre-season game but still helpful to build the chemistry of both teams.

Yeah, I would say that bad, it's almost triple double isn't it? He has been playing his usual game that this is good enough for him and the Nets. Just to see him ball and being healthy is already a good sign for the Nets. And it's also good to see Harris as well.

Might just be pre-season game, but the chemistry is already there I might say and they could be back as one of the favorites to win this year if everyone remains healthy and focus on one goal.

Simmons are playing impressively, IMO because he is not in any pressure now to give outstanding scores, he is playing what he knows the most and that is laying the table for Kyrie and KD while doing defensive measures as well. Not bad for a player who haven't played for a whole season.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 14, 2022, 12:44:45 PM
What are your thoughts about this?

I doubt they will have the same outcome and they don't have the same situation to start with. Also, they will have to wait a several years to know if their decision to their country will be successful. Also, I think you didn't read the news lately and what had happened to El Salvador because it turns out that their experimentation wasn't that much successful unlike they projected it, but it's still good because they are on the process. What I'm trying to say is that Mexico should observe the happenings first so that they can avoid the unimaginable situation that El Salvador is in right now because rich countries like Singapore and UAE doesn't want to experiment as of this time because they can't afford to waste resources and time.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 14, 2022, 12:20:43 PM
My own realizations to this is Spence and his advisors are not ready for Crawford. What would be the next move for Spence this will not come into fruition?

I think it's Crawford's camp that questioned the clarity of the contract that is supposed to be done now. They are the ones who requested a clear view of the terms that are not being clear by Spence's side. Even Crawford is building his legacy, never he will allow Spence's camp to just put some terms just in favor of them.

Anyhow, if this fight won't push through, I think both Crawford and Spence have Plan B. If I remember it right, they are vocal about who's their preferred target if this fight won't take place.

Spence and his promoter cannot provide and not willing to provide all the details in order to clarify them. They are delaying everything. Why not just tell Crawford the truth instead of playing tricky games.

I read a comment here Ennis is next for Spence. The kid has an amazing record and majority of his wins by knockouts. A fantastic test for Spence. Crawford can move forward to the next division maybe.

We cannot really verify that information if Spence and his camp are the ones who are trying to delay the fight as much as possible, though we could point out blindly because we can somehow say that they are really behind the delays but as I said, we cannot really verify that claim because Crawford is still hoping to make the fight happen and he probably knows what is the real deal as he is in the discussion. Let's see what will be the development of this fight in the coming few weeks.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 14, 2022, 11:58:53 AM
Styles make fights but Butler is not heavy-handed nor faster than Inoue.

Exactly, that's why there's only a very little chance that Butler will win this fight. But I admire him for being brave, if he will lose, I hope he will not be injured in the fight so he can still continue his career. The thing is, if Inoue goes up in weight, maybe he can still fight and be a bantamweight champion again.

Let's just wait for the outcome, IMO, this fight is not too interesting due to the fact that Butler is not on Inoue's level, but still we have to watch this because it's the most important fight of Inoue in this division for him to become an undisputed champion.

The betting here is not on who will win as obviously we know already who will, we can bet on the type of outcome, could be by KO in what round or range of rounds, or could be by decision in favor of Inoue.

That is true, the fight itself is not that interesting to see, what we want to see is Inoue's coronation as an undisputed boxer in the bantamweight division and of course, we want to know what will happen next as he will surely make some remarks after the fight. As for the betting discussion, Inoue by a decision is not that likely and I expect this will be a KO but the challenge is to know what range it will happen.

1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: October 14, 2022, 11:14:39 AM
Different country have a different rules and regulation in terms of gambling even though they have this still it is an ideal to follow those rules but if you head forward for the gambling place this is the Gambling City of Las Vegas There are a lot.of top people and names came here just to seek a joy and excitement to them.

Actually this is one of my dream place in my bucket list.

Yes, each country and sometimes each province or state have their own set or rules that is why if you're planning to gambling in that specific place, it's much better to read up their rules first to have some first hand knowledge before going. And I agree, if you have a lot of money and a good entertainment then Las Vegas is indeed the place to be or Macau as they are also known as Las Vegas of Asia.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 13, 2022, 10:14:51 AM

However, I disagree that the delay is not about money, still it, they are trying to be Floyd, undefeated, but if this is not going to materialized, then they are robbing us fans.

Not only the fans but are robbing each other of the money, opportunity, and legacy, so many things are at stake here for both of their careers, we can move forward and check other great fights but for these two fighters they just robbed one another with what great boxers should have and they will go down in history as two boxers who are coward to take their career to another level, I think they both don't like the fight to push, afraid that their zero losses will go.

For me this fight is bound to happen, just like Floyd and Manny, but yeah, we could have our own speculation as who's side is bailing out on the scheduled for and going to wait till one of them are out of their prime or has been on a lot of war so they have been soften by other tough boxers.

So I would say that this year schedule of November or December is not happening.

But we should hope that by next year, they will have their own fight first and maybe after they win or lose talk again and see if the fight can be made by that time. But it's the question of if they are willing to stay for at least 2 fight in super welter? Because both are hinting to move up to 154 lbs and face the champion like Charlo.

I share the same view, this fight won't happen this year just like what they first forecasted it because in the first place, if they want to make the fight happen then both camps should've done the right thing and wouldn't make the discussion so long. Maybe it's time for Crawford to face another boxer while their discussion between Spence's camp is blurry.

Crawford might be the first one to fight in super welter because I heard Spence have his mandatory fight if this won't happen.
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 11, 2022, 05:37:41 PM

Just let them be, cannot really blame them if they are inclined to see Butler win although that is almost near to impossible because their idol is now facing the monster of Japan which is also a knockout artist.

Yeah, I agree with you, after all the boxers performance will speak when they meet each other on the ring.

I believe that KO or TKO is likely the result in this fight but I think the bookies will just list a low odds on KO/TKO in favor of Inoue because they knew the likelihood outcome of the fight. That said, a win by a decision will be much more attractive but let's see it soon as we still have 2 more months to go.

I also think that there is a huge possibility of early to mid-round KO.  Unless Butler had prepared himself and trained his body to withstand the beating.  But of course, as a bettor and having more options to bet, a decision favors Inoue, KO win by Inoue on x round, we cannot remove the fact to think deeper in order to bag more winnings when we know that betting on early KO gives more reward but then we cannot remove the fact that Butler is also training hard to achieve an upset win or at least last the whole fight.  I know it is way too early talking about odds but well, I just can't help myself talking about it.   Grin

if you are betting on butler right now, if upset will happen, it is 12x right now at stake. that is, if butler can beat inoue. but the likelihood of getting upset here is really slim in my opinion. if butler will come prepared, and so is inoue. but it is still interesting to watch how they are inside the ring. some boxers can pull off the fight because of their rigid preparation and working on their strategies. but once inside, those strategies fly off because they won't know what to do if the opponent also changes his movements.

Not really tempting the bettors who knew the real score between the two boxers and even if the bookies will list a much higher odds than the current one, the bettors won't still bother to bet on Butler, well except for the Butler's supporters out there. And IMO, saying that there's a slim chance of upset is an understatement, I know that Inoue's victory is not yet guaranteed but I believe that this fight might be an exemption.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 11, 2022, 05:04:08 PM
While Draymond spends time away from the team, I was surprised to see Jordan Poole back in action today against the Lakers. They lost by 3 but Poole put up 25 and had a nice highlight. Anthony Davis and Kendrick Nunn had big games though. Great to see Nunn back. He was the missing piece last year that caused them to be so bad.
Jordan Poole surprised me with his performance...despite being a preseason game, he played so good and had an impressive performance against the Lakers!

I may even be talking some nonsense or something like that, but if Pooler stays with this performance, I even imagine that he could be an AllStar in his future, of course this is just a presumption on my part.

Let's see if he can keep up with that performance during the regular season.

Aside from the fact that he really have some skills, he is doing everything he could and bring a good performance even if it was just a pre-season game because he is aiming for the Warriors to give him an extension. I mean, any team could probably give him the figure he wanted because he is really a superstar in the making but only the Warriors these days can help him to have more rings in the future.
1812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 10, 2022, 09:45:55 PM
I came across a post where an advise was ditch out
for newbies like myself not to get involved in new projects,
due to the risk that follows.

But with all honestly, Some project with 3 to 7 months old have one time becomes Scam, Good  example is OKS CHAIN. The project was over 2 years old, yet end up being scam, as the CEO and other dev cart away with so much money. And abandoned the project.

My experience tells me that everything involves around crypto project, Is about risk, except for the president of them all ( Bitcoin ), The vice ( Ethereum ) and the child ( Binance ). Investing in any of these 3 gives risk free system. As they say experience is the best teacher in life.

So i strongly disagreed with the term of " do not invest in a brand new project " to be risk free. A lot of new project has yielded x50
of my investment to me most of the time, What i usually do, Once they're up, i take off with my investment and interest. This is my experiences.
And i strongly believes by doing this, Will yield high success to everyone and also helps you to minimize the risk of lossing all your funds.
There’s always risks in all types of investments, even bitcoin which we mostly think that it’s the most prominent coin and the best asset in crypto. The only difference is that some invest directly due to greed without gaining good background first on the project they want to invest. That way, it’s more risky to invest especially if you just invest without having to DYOR first.
1813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why speculate when you can be at peace with Bitcoin on: October 10, 2022, 09:29:03 PM
One of the things I hate most is speculations
Speculation makes us excited to hold Bitcoin even though it is in a bearish state. This will convince us that Bitcoin will reach a high price. This is part of the motivation. But if it's too much, of course it will make us lose control of the asset. I think a lot of things are positive about Bitcoin speculation or speculating about anything.
Well, speculations are just a normal thing in an unpredictable crypto market but if you are trying to invest relying completely from pure speculations, I’m afraid you’ll never end up making profits as it’s best to DYOR first and gain sufficient knowledge and skills for you to end up in a reliable decision that will make you profitable in the end.
1814  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: October 10, 2022, 09:13:58 PM
I would rather never spend crypto. Its just a huge disappointment to see your coins going down. Instead, why not hedge your coins against fiat and make more coins by trading? Never sell at a loss, never forget to buy at a bargain. Although depending on your individual trading strategy, you might find hodling to be the better of the two options. Either way, coins to me are more valuable then most unnecessary things. The only except is living costs and thats it, really. Apart from those spendings, there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever to throw away coin. Shocked
I don’t intend to just keep my crypto forever, but it would be more frustrating to know that you spend much on buying crypto with the aim of making huge returns in the future, and now you will just easily use it at a lower value? That sucks for me. I would have spend fiat the whole time and would love to keep my crypto first until I see a perfect time to sell my coins and convert it to fiat for a bigger funds.
1815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 10, 2022, 08:59:19 PM
Currently, there is still blood in the market and all we see is the bearish signals so we're still in a bearish season and waiting to see lower prices every day, so I prefer to wait for a bullish sign and then start buying bitcoin for the short term or mid-term. otherwise, we all know buying bitcoin at any price can be profitable if you aim for longterm, but since there is so much blood in the market I prefer to wait and see the price floor, however, I will lose some shares on my profits because of waiting but I will invest with open eyes.
When the market is terribly bearish, then definitely its a good time for accumulation. It makes the best entry in the market especially with having bitcoin as your top investment priority. However, if you think that it’s price will bound to drop in the coming days, then do DCA. That way, you can always make the best buy every time the market drops.
1816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The sole difference is capital. on: October 10, 2022, 08:38:26 PM
But that doesn't guarantee you success although the gap is really huge in terms of capitalization. It's important to know that having a good starting capital can also lead you to a good rhythm and momentum when you're hitting correctly the charts and your trades.
Always remember the recommended suggestion about having the capital that you can afford to have it lose because, it increases your stay in the market but the chance of profitability still depends on you.
Well, it’s obvious that some successful traders with huge amount of returns started too with a good amount of capital, and those who only gained minimal amount of profits are those who also trade with minimal capital. However, it’s not just capital alone that contributes to our trading success, but it’s more on the attitude as a trader and our working strategies that proven effective in trading.
1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I helped my dad bought some Bitcoin last night on: October 09, 2022, 09:45:13 PM
Congratulations on your father's first successful Bitcoin purchase that you taught him, but you must monitor your father so that he is not exposed to other bad news that makes him sell again so this needs to be done so that your father can maintain bitcoin for a long time.
This is the right buy because when the market is going down and it's said to be low at 20k, especially with the extra money that is never needed then I think your dad can hold on longer with what he wants in investing in Bitcoin.
This is a great decision actually as your father aims to invest first his money rather than just saving it plainly in a bank. And definitely, when the market is bearish, it will always be a good entry in crypto investments. I just hope OP that you will continue to guide your father and expose him on the negative side of crypto investments so that he will not be a naive on that. And by making DYOR most of the time, your father will never end up in wrong decision making that will make him lose his investments.
1818  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 09, 2022, 09:25:49 PM
Many people blame the government because their policies are often not the reality of society, so they protest against the government. But we should also try to try to work well and not violate the rules that the government has made.

Whatever happens, we need to improve our abilities by learning and trying because we will never know which door will give us success. So by continuing to try, we can get results that work for us.
Sad to say, people complain first before doing their own part. If this is the mindset, one will never achieve  life’s success. Although some government policies are not really on our side, but maybe this will also bring good in the future, so we should also be considerate. Let’s just focus on our own and always take time to learn and gain, and go out from our comfort zone if it’s really needed, that way we can always have more opportunities to bring life’s big changes in the future.
1819  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My crypto/Bitcoin advice. on: October 08, 2022, 09:44:49 PM
All that you mention is also the description of other altcoin too like Ethereum and other Blockchain based coins. There’s no point on depending your life on a volatility asset while you can have a stable source of fund to support your life through normal jobs. Don’t make your life miserable just to ride to the trend of Bitcoin. Just invest what you can afford to lose and focus to your real life. Don’t use Bitcoin to escape from your reality because Bitcoin can’t save your financial freedom if you don’t any initial capital to begin with.
Do not be overconfident with bitcoin because once an investment, it will always have the chances to fall and never recover again. Although it’s not possible for bitcoin today, but no one holds the future really. So as much as we want more profits and become financially stable, then we should always have a stable source of living too like having a stable job that will give you good amount of compensation when your investments is no longer profitable anymore.
1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why BTC can not zero at present time on: October 08, 2022, 09:27:39 PM
Please briefly explain, why BTC can not be zero at present time?

Technically it can be zero at any given time.
As long as the demand for bitcoin is still high and that the bitcoin community is still active, then bitcoin price will never depreciate completely nor end up in zero value. Although a lot of times it’s even predicted as dead, but look at it right now, it’s price is still the highest compared to all crypto coins. So I am certain that bitcoin won’t never fall into zero, instead it will surge high and reach its new ATH once the market turns bullish again.
