Thanks

Just quoting the post that ended everything considered Basecoin, the first alt mentioned in this sub-section. faye, try not to scare other Altcoins away with your inquiries.
18002  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: July 09, 2014, 05:58:50 PM
I contacted AMT by email about when to RMA this box again, no one replied. AMT, were the miners shipped out Friday? Can you please let me know. It would be nice if you could keep us posted with updates here.

are you kidding me? did you really think they would ship? AMT has never honored a delivery date in it's entire 1 year history; never! call me out if i'm lying. prove me wrong.

Whats going on with the lawsuit?

It was sent back to the tailor: The sleeves weren't long enough, the buttons didn't match, and something about the tail.

Kobayashi is a Japanese competitive eater. He holds several records, including six Guinness Records and two or three Gox Liquidation Records. He's currently attempting a Farting (shit-in-your-creditors'-face - US version) Record.
18005  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: July 08, 2014, 06:21:16 AM
I am posting this because it was deleted from the AMT thread:

You guys are ridiculous.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous.

Explain to me why Google maps clearly shows that the mailing address of RMA units is right behind the temple?

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/443+Old+York+Rd,+Jenkintown,+PA+19046/430+Johnson+St,+Jenkintown,+PA+19046/@40.0970725,-75.128386,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m13!4m12!1m5!1m1!1s0x89c6b0ea2dc084df:0x8ec8a5f182a73170!2m2!1d-75.1259738!2d40.097125!1m5!1m1!1s0x89c6b0ea37aa428b:0xf0fcfc48c946266!2m2!1d-75.1265974!2d40.0971069

On Johnson road, on the side of the even street numbers, the only building with a second floor is the Masonic temple!

As a customer,  I really want to know why AMT dealings are from the back of a Masonic temple.

This is absolutely ridiculous that you deliberately chose a location that is the back of the Masonic temple!!

Is this some kind of crude prank that you are playing?

Maybe they were in a hurry and didn't walk around it to see the front  Cheesy LOL

Actually that is the truth. And no, the fact that there is a lodge around the corner didn't really factor into the decision of taking that office. It was vacant, affordable, a shorter commute and cheaper than the last location by $260 a month. Oh, and it wasn't right next to the lawyers that were suing us. There's a Dunkin donuts on the corner guys, maybe we're in cahoots with those guys as well right. And we'll be pre-selling munchkins and the latest Koolata's soon enough.

"Look AMT's office is right next to a Catholic church!  And a park! and if you zoom in on google maps you can see a car parked out front! OH MY GOD"

It is the back of the Masonic building.   It has no windows!  Are you serious?

This:

430 Johnson Str., flr 2, Suite 202, Jenkintown, PA, 19046,

doesn't look like a legit office.

I mean.... the doors don't even have door handles, it looks like it opens only one way,  from the inside!

We aren't saying that it is right next to the Mason temple,  it's the back door of the Masonic temple!

You've lost it Carlos. You're just gone at this point.

If this is not the location, then can you furnish a photograph of the location (use Google street view if needed).

I honestly do not see any other 2 story building in the vicinity of 430 Johnson Str.  The 2 adjacent lots have single floor buildings.

Can you confirm if the photo in question is your location?

If you just pan around in street view (which is honestly not so accurate from all my dealings with it) There is a 2 story building just two lots away to the viewer's right.  It's behinds a 1 story building. Not saying it's theirs but lets look at the situation here. on the right side of the street that pulls up there are multiple 2 story building all in a row.

AMT already admitted that such is the case of which was quoted that you've replied to incorporated in this very post. I highlighted the text above in case it's missed.
18006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ashton kutcher talks about bitcoin, again on: July 07, 2014, 04:31:05 PM
I guess I just don't take him too seriously.  He isn't risking a lot like the rest of us are.

He is worth roughly 140 million dollars.  I am guessing he *Might* have around 1 million invested in bit coins.

So less than 1 % of his money is actually invested in bitcoins...Where I know a lot of people have up to 50% of their money on the forums....

I saw a video where one guy sold a kidney to purchase a Monarch.

rule of the street, if you wont simply hand a stranger on the street $2400... dont do it online

I thought I had it down. It didn't occur to me that he was hacking other people's Paypal accounts to pay me. So I'm doing what's right and returning their money to them.

no.. he is not hacking other peoples accounts..

thats what the chargeback kings always say to paypal "we have ben hacked" thats how they get their money back and keep the bitcoins

if you been paypal scammed then keep the money and let paypal reimburse them from paypal profits. afterall paypal have insurance, paypal make profit and paypal should have better security.. its their fault not yours.

unless your a scammer, never give back money to paypal.. let them lose out, not the honest people.

That sounds like a good idea in theory, but Paypal just takes the money out of your account first and then asks questions later...  If you have a 0 paypal balance, then your balance becomes negative and you can no longer use the account until you repay the overdraw amount...

Rumor has it that creating a new PayPal account is the hardest thing in the world to do  Roll Eyes, ergo protect your PayPal account at ALL cost.
18008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Seeking a mathematical equation! (Block Reward Halving) on: July 06, 2014, 03:40:09 PM
I'm looking an equation to plug in variables to calculate the following.

Depict the total supply of X coins to be accomplished in Y years, halving in Z days/years.

Example:

Total Supply: 100M coins
Block Target: 5 minutes
Block Reward: 100 coins
Block Reward Halves in: ? (days/years)
Total years till last block is hashed: 20 years
Premine: 0

The halving aspect is what I'm having trouble calculating and assume(?) the equation I'm requesting may incorporate the sigma symbol. Once I have the equation, I'll know how to use it.

To be clear, I'm seeking the formula to calculate the exact interval halving time frame to mine X coins in Y years with block target of M minutes and block reward of C coins.

Thanks in advance, all.

Notice the difference between being poor and being rich? When a rich person makes a horrible, costly mistake, they get their lawyers to straighten things out and everything turns out great. When a poor person makes a horrible costly mistake, fuck 'em.

Dude, did you just say that Bitcoin is no different than...

Next stop, a governing body whose sole purpose is to make such corrections (sans lawyers) in the block chain and the nodes will be forced to include them, otherwise...

18013  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and Violence Completely Ignored by Moderator on General Discussion Board on: July 04, 2014, 03:11:03 PM
Threats of violence aren't okay, I don't see any though. Being a racist is okay, though posts with strong political commentary of that sort tend to be off topic more often than not, and if it isn't off topic then the thread itself may need to be re-evaluated.

He said that he "knows a very direct way of dealing with [me]. Better yet, send [me] to the Palestinians." How you can percieve that as anything other than a non-idle violent threat is beyond reasoning.

Grow a thicker skin, this is the internet. I am offended that you're offended, where does this madness stop? Cries of bigotry and racism are far too common and used improperly daily. This has watered down the true meaning of these words. I would rather know what a person really thinks than have them hide it behind a smile, that way you can take action such as ignore them or go to another forum. One should be able to say pretty much what they want but that doesn't mean there aren't consequences. They could be ignored and no one will trade with them.
Crying for the censor police at every harsh word is ridiculous and petty.

So you think that calling somebody from the Middle East a "shit skin" isn't racism, and even if it is, it should be fully allowed? I am not misusing the word at all, and you are encouraging very uncivilized behavior on this forum. I pray to god that at least one sane moderator sees this ..... and does something to help keep things peaceful on here. This is exactly the kind of insanity that we don't ever want to associate with cryptocurrency. That is, if you are actually here to support crypto.

This is downright shameful behavior and the responses I am getting are shameful all around.

I've been called far worse. Grow up.

Let me add to this:
"......you are encouraging very uncivilized behavior...."    Offensive, you are calling me uncivilized.

"I pray to god..."  Offensive. You didn't capitalize the G and you mentioned god! What does god have to do with BTC?

"......bullshit..."  Cursing, again offensive!

"....at least one sane moderator...." Offensive. It implies all moderators are insane.

Do you see how this works? It never ends. You need to realize your opinion isn't the only one but you seem to think it trumps all others. You are free to join the myriad of other forums that are PC correct and happily censor all posts.

Trump! Now, I'm offended. That porridge wog eats Pizza, bitcoiner's poster food, with a fork (apologies to slant-eyes who use sticks to eat with).

Hans Krebs: The enemy made a breakthrough.

They took Zossen and are advancing towards Stahnsdorf.

They're at the northern city border, between Frohnau and Pankow.

In the east, they reached Lichtenberg, Mahlsdorf and Karlshorst.

Adolf Hitler: If Steiner attacks, everything will be alright.

Hans Krebs: Mein Führer...

Steiner...

Alfred Jodl: Steiner didn't have enough men.

The attack didn't take place.

[Hitler pauses to take off his glasses]

Adolf Hitler: The following stay here: Keitel, Jodl, Krebs and Burgdorf.

(The four named generals, along with Goebbels and Bormann, remain in the room as the others leave. The door closes behind them)

That was an order!

Steiner's attack was an order!

How dare you ignore my orders?!

(Hitler's ranting is clearly audible outside the room)

Is this what it came to?

The military, everybody lied to me.

Even the SS!

The generals are no more than a bunch of disloyal cowards!

Burgdorf: Mein Führer, I can't permit you to insult the German soldiers-

Adolf Hitler: They are all cowards, traitors and failures!

Burgdorf: Mein Führer, This is outrageous!

Adolf Hitler: The generals are the scum of the German people!

(flings a pencil onto the table)

NO SENSE OF HONOUR!

You call yourself general because you spent years at the academy

where you only learned how to use a knife and fork!

For years, the military obstructed me.

All you ever did is thwart me.

What I should have done,

is had all the high officers executed, like Stalin did!

(pauses)

I never went to the academy.

But I conquered all of Europe on my own. (pounds chest; holds up fists like a gorilla)

Traitors!

I've been betrayed and deceived from the start.

Such enormous betrayal

of the German people. But all these traitors will pay.

They will pay with their own blood!

They will drown in their blood!

Traudl Junge: (To Gerda, outside the room) Gerda, please calm yourself.

Adolf Hitler: All my orders have been ignored.

How can I be a leader under these circumstances?

It's over.

The war is lost. (reaches for collar)

But if you think this means I'll leave Berlin...

you're wrong. I'd rather shoot a bullet through my head.

[sighs]

Do whatever you want.

So Jimi Hendrix's music helped no one but himself?  What about great philosophers?  What about Jesus?

This just keeps getting more and more interesting... but a little frightening. I dread the day I need to watch a "feed the children" with bitcoin commercial. "If you don't donate just 0.0001 BTC a day to this address, the child will starve to death."

Now, we're talking a game idea on smartphones.  Shocked

Again, taking this idea to the nth degree, what's the smallest creature that can be fed, whereupon once fed it enters a chamber where it, too, is consumed by some creature in a subsequent chamber, etc. for a total of say six or more steps, with the last creature perhaps a mammal of some sort getting fed on a regular basis?

Hell, one could prepay, then get notified via an app that their queue position is arriving soon so that they can watch the feeding live thanks to their support, otherwise view it later at their convenience. The app can also be used to muster up funding for future feedings when the coffer reaches below a certain threshold.

The worlds first experiment in decentralized rat care.

Or, a door opens and the rat enters the snake's cage.

Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. As such, it is more resistant to wild inflation and corrupt banks. With Bitcoin, you can be your own bank.
