18061  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: March 19, 2014, 04:07:31 PM
Alpha Technologies just released a statement regarding KNC's entering the Scrypt ASIC ring.

Quote from: Alpha Technologies
Greetings Miners!
We would like to assure you we are very aware of our competitors hash rates and pricing and intend to match them, we started development in May 2013 and are on schedule to ship in July giving us a clear lead.  During development we decided to make our units larger and upgradeable so we could accommodate increased hash rates with ease, we gave ourselves this leeway for a variety of reasons.  The announcement of Scrypt miners by our competitors was of course one such reason that we anticipated and planned for.  A full announcement with details on our new batch 1 hash rates will be released very soon!
18062  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: March 19, 2014, 03:55:56 PM
I'm sure this isn't news to you guys but figured why not post it.. I got an email from KnC that they are launching a scrypt miner called the Titan.  They "say" they think they can beat the competition to market..

That is intriguing.  I think we had better stick to our Alpha Technologies order and hope that they beat KNC to the market with a more efficient product, considering we have already put down a deposit.

1) What pool are you mining?
2) Why this pool?
3) PPS or PPLNS?

1) nastyfans.org:9332 (no signup needed, just use your BTC address as your username)
2) 0% fee P2pool node, helping support network decentralization.
3) PPLNS

I received coupon codes from BFL for our 9 free Monarchs and immediately placed the orders to get us in the queue.  I also confirmed that our original 9 orders have been upgraded to Imperial Monarchs.

Thanks for the opportunity Scott.  I was surprised to see other outlets were immediately running the story as well.  Very appreciative for the visibility.

I assume you are in the us?

That is a correct assumption.

Scott Fargo from Cryptocoinsnews.com did a piece on the NastyFans Seat Coin.  Check it out.

"no problem, just paypal me some bitcoins".

I watched the episode and laughed when I heard that line.  Congrats to Parks & Rec for sufficiently trolling the Bitcoin community.

ghash.io is the way to go !

I hope you're kidding. ghash.io has a dangerous amount of network share right now. It is the worst pool you could choose to mine on at the moment.
18073  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1oz Silver Physical Bitcoins / NastyFans Seats on: March 16, 2014, 01:51:53 AM
do you ship worldwide? norway/sweden? bulk amounts?

Yes, I will ship worldwide.  I typically ask international orders to take pity on me and send 0.02 BTC to the address in my signature for each international order.  I have no problem shipping bulk amounts, but there are less than 400 coins left for purchase at the moment.
18074  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: March 16, 2014, 01:12:21 AM
Last info I saw was yet another delay (shocking for BFL to delay and all).. Maybe I missed something?

Perhaps the part where they are giving us >250% of our ordered hashrate as well as having half the electricity consumption as the closest competitor?

If you would like to bet on whether or not the Monarch is vaporware, I would happily entertain that via PM.  This thread isn't the place to spread BFL FUD though.  There are plenty of threads in the hardware section for that.
18075  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: March 16, 2014, 01:03:56 AM
Well... I wouldn't get too excited yet since they are still Vaporware...

They aren't vaporware at all.  It is most certainly time to get excited.

There are now 18 Monarchs listed on post #1. Did we order more or is that some kind of late ship compensation?

See this post for details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=86854.msg5521140#msg5521140

Although I should state that the confirmation email from BFL for the additional units hasn't been received yet.  They are sending them "in the next few days."

I would consider bulk discounts, but nothing crazy.
