There’s a Debate Goin on Regarding Bitcoin Perpetual Inflation Says Lightning Network Proponent

Quote
“There’s an open question of will transaction fees be high enough – or in the aggregate total – enough to provide transaction finality?”

So says Pierre Rochard, founder of a consulting firm Bitcoin Advisory and a self-proclaimed power user of the Lightning Network.

That was after highlighting a sentence from the bitcoin whitepaper where bitcoin’s inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto, says fees will pay for security once no new bitcoins are issued.

The 1 MB blocks are fine and now says it may not be enough ...
LN has the problem, not Bitcoin.

To create our visualization, we used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ CPI Inflation Calculator. This calculator uses the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, which represents the changes in prices for consumer goods and services purchased by urban households.

By examining this data we can see how the purchasing power, or the total amount of goods and services that can be bought with one dollar, has changed since 1913. Additionally, we can see how recessions and major economic events impact our purchasing power.

What is $100 worth in 1913 over time?

1913: $100
1923: $57.89
1933: $76.15
1943: $57.23
1953: $37.08
1963: $32.35
1973: $22.30
1983: $9.94
1993: $6.85
2003: $5.38
2013: $4.25
2019: $3.87

1913 $100 / 2019 $3,87 Es triste ver el gráfico y la tabla.

There are many cat breeds, if you ever have the opportunity to share a few minutes with a Maine Coon, you will change your mind.

Give it a chance, he won't eat you..., if he's well fed. Wink

I had an instinctual aversion to cats from a young age and always liked dogs. Never knew why till I learned cats want to eat my corpse.

"n 1992, at an American Academy of Forensic Sciences conference in New Orleans, a forensic pathologist told a haunting story: He explained that when people who live alone with their pets die unexpectedly, their bodies are sometimes left in the house for several days. Without their owners around to fill their bowls, the pets often go unfed. In cases where these people owned dogs, their pets would usually go several days without resorting to eating the owner’s body. However, a cat would only wait a day or two. The phenomenon is called “postmortem predation.”

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/cats-facts-jerks_n_4520552

When your body becomes a corpse, it will be consumed by a large number of insects.

If you drown in the sea, you will be eaten by all kinds of fish.

It is very hard, but it is the law of nature.

Thank you.

Funny how all these things work out.

I would have never speculated regarding my activity level, either.  I am surprised that in the past 5 and a half years, I have spent more than 246 days online, and I have posted 17,474 times too (as I type).. this post will be 17,475...

Many of  my posts have NOT been one-liners, either - nor cat pictures (even though I have a few cat pictures in there, too)....  Wink

hahahhahaha.

Thx, for your time. Wink

With regard to cats, I prefer the freedom and independence of the cat than the submission of the dog.

Cool https://www.cerebras.net/

https://www.cerebras.net/wafer-scale-processors-the-time-has-come/

https://hardwaresfera.com/noticias/hardware/cerebras-crean-una-gpu-que-cuenta-con-1-2-billones-de-transistores-pensado-para-la-inteligencia-artificial/

Hodl Hodl Wants You to Clone Its P2P Bitcoin Exchange

Quote
Hodl Hodl plans to make its software freely available so anyone can launch their own version of the peer-to-peer bitcoin exchange.

Announced Saturday at the Baltic Honeybadger conference in Riga, Latvia, the plan is, in part, a recognition that Hodl Hodl’s business model is vulnerable to regulatory crackdowns.

“History teaches us that if a government wants to shut you down, it will,” Hodl Hodl CEO Max Keidun told CoinDesk.

CME’s BTC Index Provider CF Benchmarks Wins EU License

Quote
CF Benchmarks, CME Group’s Bitcoin (BTC) index provider, received a benchmark license under the European Benchmarks Regulation (EU BMR).

On Sept. 13, CF Benchmarks’ official Twitter account announced that the firm received its license from the United Kingdom’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). In the tweet, the firm also claims to be the first cryptocurrency index provider to reach this goal:

“CF Benchmarks is the first #crypto index provider to receive EU BMR authorisation from [the FCA].”

https://cointelegraph.com/news/cmes-btc-index-provider-cf-benchmarks-wins-eu-license

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is a stable indicator that they need in order to set a futures market that is considered safe enough for the mainstream? This institutionalized jargon they wrap up whether the average person is capable of making his own decisions is intentionally obfuscated and i can't keep up nor remember the intricacies.

I am not an expert in graphics, but we are in a symmetrical triangle that breaks up or down, I think we will come out like a rocket up.
Interestingly the end of the triangle coincides with the launch of Bakkt 23-Sep.
