1821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What happen for people who does not support Segwit2X? on: October 14, 2017, 06:54:29 AM
according to : https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitmex-exchange-joins-segwit2x-opposition-confirms-zero-support

Bitmex stated they will not support Segwit2X even if the chain has the major hashrate.

In this case what would happen with Bitmex? they will be using the old Bitcoin chain?

1823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: October 13, 2017, 05:04:07 PM
You are not the only one xp

Most crypto trader i believe which are here in Bitcointalk, does not trade on BTC only.

Personally, my portfolio has 0% BTC and all ALTS

I can say my Portfolio value just dropped almost 55%-60%, but BTC raised 10-20%, so its around 40%

Personally i am looking at long term, so i am holding Smiley
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [KNC] Kyber NetWork Price Speculation on: October 13, 2017, 05:02:19 PM
It depends on are you looking for short term or long term gain

If we take a look at short term, it definitely would not have much price change

But taking a long term perspective, with the main net launch, enhancement, Kyber would be really something big

Remember, Vitalik is their Advisor, project wouldn't go bad IMO
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH & LTC? on: October 13, 2017, 04:55:26 PM
hi!
i am using BTC from almost 2 years  and now i want to invest in other cryptocurrencies i just want to know is it profitable to invest in ETH and LTC because these are the fastest growing currencies after BTC,just need your suggestion about it.

ETH here, LTC is just fork of BTC with some changes

ETH is a brand new tech compare to BTC that everyone should take a look at it :p

Etherscan: https://etherscan.io/address/0xdd76b55ee6dafe0c7c978bff69206d476a5b9ce7

Hard Cap : 100K ETH
Current Contribution : 12K ETH

Would it last until Day 2? xp
Wow, Eth is $325 now?
I have never heard of Request Network before, but it sure looks like it'll hit hard cap.
https://request.network/#/
https://request.network/assets/pdf/request_whitepaper.pdf

So I cannot join the sale as I am not whitelisted and registrations are now closed?

Yeah, ETH is just 1 week away from metropolis cycle upgrade

I also heard it when i join certain crypto groups, make some research and it seems good

20K eth now tho xp
1827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen to blocks that Follow Old Rules But Violates New Rules? on: October 13, 2017, 08:59:07 AM
Yes, a block that violates new rules is rejected by updated nodes, this means that updated nodes would not include it in their blockchain and new mining nodes won't build on top of it, but old nodes would see that block as valid so it may cause a chain split. So, a softfork is kinda like a hashrate war - whoever has more hashpower can build the longest chain, if new nodes win then old nodes would automatically accept their chain as valid because it's backwards compatible, but if old nodes win new does will just reject it and keep mining on the shorter chain. SegWit was a softwork and it got activated smoothly because majority of hashpower mined SegWit blocks so there was no chain splits.

Ahhh thanks, so we can say that Soft fork is a race within upgraded nodes vs non upgraded nodes. While which ever form the longest valid chain will took over the others? In that case, the one who lose the race either
1) Continue mining with their original nodes, get no reward
2) Mined with the longest chain nodes, get reward?

Is Segwit Soft Fork or Hard Fork? i remember we activated with Segwit2X right?

Segwit took part months ago and the upcoming 2X of block size will be take change in November?

Thanks and regards
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What happen to blocks that Follow Old Rules But Violates New Rules? on: October 13, 2017, 08:13:39 AM

Source: Cointelegraph

Although previously i have read multiple articles on the Forks when the time we have BTU, UAHF, BIP141, 91 and tons of it, i forgot most of it and i am reading again.

So it stated for Soft Fork
User can still continue to mine with old nodes since old nodes will be recognize all the concurrent mined blocks as new blocks.

From the image
Blocks from the non upgraded Nodes - It end up in the process "Follow Old Rules but violate New Rules", therefore what happens to the block? Rejected?

1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BItcoin Dump in 3,2,1... on: October 13, 2017, 06:54:11 AM
My beloved altcoins beginning to rise again... everlasting glory to cryptomarket!

Although the bullish trend has slow down and it seems to be reversing, but i think $6K is a figure that will most likely resist the trend and once BTG is distributed, guess BTC will hang within $5k and that would be our new support level  Grin
1831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: COSS COIN? on: October 13, 2017, 06:50:47 AM
Currently at about $0.15. Any updated thoughts on the potential of this coin and what you think of the team?

No major update yet as yesterday Rune (Coss Staff) just announce they are picking everything up.

It is now above x3-4 of ICO price.

Still waiting for miracle for it to drop pass 1.5K satoshi, if it drop to that level, i am gonna go full loading with at least 2 BTC on it.

1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Request Network (REQ) Speculation post-ICO on: October 13, 2017, 06:47:42 AM
REQ will hit exchanges one week after today's ICO on October 20. What are your predictions for the price development when it gets listed / one month / one year after?

I am going max cap of first day most likely.

Speculation, easy x2 like Cindicator.
Might be hard to x4 compare to Kyber.
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [CND] Cindicator Speculation - A Breakout Token? on: October 13, 2017, 06:45:46 AM
Low marketcap as mentioned by everyone in the ICO

The price proof it, its x2.2-2.3 of ICO price within just first day of token release.

Look further, you would see how big can CND grow Smiley

Anyone have any idea or any ETA when will the TFL dividend will be distributed?

Been holding for quite some time, is it December? Or it will have a payout soon in October?
1835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rigs for suggestion for new miner on: October 12, 2017, 04:55:00 PM
I would wait another two weeks unless you want to get up and running before the fork. With the release of the 1070i we may see a drop in prices of 1070s which seems to be the bet value right now. If you grab a few cheaper 1070s or even the 1070ti if they really are priced in the low 400s that would be your best bet to go with for GPUs in my opinion.

Thanks for the information, didn't know 1070I will be coming out soon, guess its a good news if i wanted to pick 1070 up for my first mining rigs GPU there!
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rigs for suggestion for new miner on: October 12, 2017, 08:28:01 AM
Alright really thanks for the answer to all my enquiry there, that's what i am looking for xp

How much should i expect based on the difficulty? Lets say 6 months later, should a -10% of current daily profit be good to take into calculations? or it will approximately be more based on your experience?

Thanks  Grin

No one can tell you for sure what's going to happen with cryptocurrency business !
No one can tell you where those difficulties go in the next 6 months !
No one can tell you it's going to be profitable for you or not !
No one can tell you how much profit you going to be able to make ! ( if you can make any at all )
No one can tell you the ROI ( return of investment) time !
Right now the estimated ROI time with a 6 gpu's rig is can be around a year maybe a little bit less .

For myself im still building rigs:) and hoping everything going to get better , price going up Wink

Yeah , everything is unpredictable i guess xp

Anyhow, guess 1 year pay off could be okay for me as i am currently finding ways to invest my trading profits.

Crypto Casino = Uncertainty
Exchange Margin Lending = Approx 1~2% monthly

So i will take a look into mining i guess, thanks for your help mate!
1837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to go bullish after Metropolis hard fork? on: October 12, 2017, 08:25:29 AM
It seems to be a very huge improvement as its the 3rd stage of Ethereum Cycle

From what i read
- Block time will be reduced and optimized
- POS integration time by time
- More flexibility of Smart Contract?
- Zero knowledge protocol

Is this the main benefits of it?

It is very possible that ETH might break the $400 ATH if the Hard fork are successful i guess
IF the hard fork is successful the the ATH could be achieved.

ETH has been pretty quiet and down a lot from its previous ATH and is due for a pump right now I think. Price shouldn't dip below 0.06 BTC, if it does due to panic sellers then it is probably a good short term decision to pick up some coin.

Agree with it!

Yeah, i couldn't dip in my order anymore at 0.058 now, it just doesn't fuel up xp

Guess its very positive hard fork we have there as seems that everyone knows and agreed upon it
1838  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Start Mining From Your Browser - And Get Paid Via Faucethub on: October 12, 2017, 08:24:30 AM
Hello, quick question here

As i know Coinhive offers such solution but only mining XMR

Would you mind to share what's the web mining service that you currently using?

Or you custom coded it?

Thanks

Buddy, he is using coinhive to mine monero and I think depending upon the accepted hash rate he pays you in other cryptocurrencies(definitely he had  coded that payment based on accepted hash rate) .Nowadays many sites are offering the same service, but no one is paying you in so many different altcoins. Coinpot.co is also offering the same service but they payout only in 3 different cryptocurrencies. All others payout in bitcoin. Even faucethub and freebitco.in have started this mining service using coinhive.

Alright thanks!

Yeah, i've seen quite some sites currently uses this crypto mining to replaced their ads as web mining runs in the background

Thanks for your help tho! Will look into it, was thinking to make faucet with web mining integrated xp
