Hi guys, who is using luckpool? I am having some issues. The payment section is not showing the entire entry (the 24h payments). This is annoying.
Ask Hellcatz in Luckpool's chat I was in development fixing some issues and had to temporarily disable payment stats. More information on LuckPool homepage is now available. @hellcatz luckpool.org

Tracking System Beta for TestnetWe are ready to start the first part of the beta test of the new server system. There are now three sets of regional servers (12 in all): Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia running with Cloudflare and clustered databases. This part of the beta is still on TESTNET, so please do not switch nets yet. Instructions for the next phase will be provided later. This is the time to start setting up your nodes over the next couple of weeks. There will still be some time after next beta phase starts before payments are enabled (timing depends upon issue found and resolved). In this phase there will be testing of the node and server failover over the next week. Your node may be connected to another region at various times and then fallback to your home server. Please check your nodes periodically and report any issues or anything odd. *What to Expect* When you migrate your node(s), it should detect which regional server to connect to. If not correct, it may be changed by running the tracker setup. The migration process is pretty simple and quick. The email system has been changed to Sparkpost. Be sure to enter a valid email address in the node setup to receive notifications of exceptions and downtimes. How to MigrateFollow the 'Update' instructions here: https://github.com/ZencashOfficial/secnodetrackerThe tracker version is now 0.0.8 There are also instructions for a new installation on that page. Snapshot for the newbies(see the setup guide pinned to the top of the #securenodes channel) -> https://blockoperations.com/build-zencash-secure-node-part-1-prepare-vps/https://blockoperations.com/build-zencash-secure-node-part-2-build-zen-node/https://blockoperations.com/build-zencash-secure-node-part-2-5-test-tls-secnodetracker/- 1 IP address per secure node (either IPv4 or IPv6) - 42 zen (znt for testnet) in wallet off the node - public cert is needed for your node - 1 zen (private znt) in the challenge private address on the node. Send 5 separate transactions of 0.2 each. - Tracking servers are at https://securenodes.zensystem.io- post questions/issues in #securenodes. For those of you who snuck onto the beta servers
Be sure to checkout the master branch instead of dev branch. Note on IPv6 systemsIf you have an issue connecting to the regional servers there is a script available that will update your nodes host file periodically with the addresses of the servers. Please see this post http://www.zen-solutions.io/ipv6-dns-host-file-and-server-addressing/

This is latest information from the Slack: Secure Node beta testing should happen this week. Development team is working a few issues they ran into as the system was scaled to a multi-datacenter server cluster for the tracking and payment headend application @blockops

So setup and run a secure node will give me some profit? Or is only on testnet at the moment?
Secure Nodes are in phase of testing. They are not profitable yet.

the coin maybe can each 1000USD next years I regret not catching this one, i didn't notice it was that low, good job to people who caught around 100 000 Satoshis
I must appeal- we should not speculate about price here in announcing thread. Speculations have different thread-> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2078049.new#new

Hey do you guys think it would be profitable to run a secure node? Don't get me wrong i love zen cash i think its one of the best privacy coins out there, along with pivx and monero. I'm just curious because people always want an incentive for doing something (even though your not doing much) as in it being profitable for them to run a zencash master node versus dash or pivx... any thoughts?
Estimation is at least 1000 nodes will be at the start. Price for vps is between 2 and 5 dollars. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zencash/Use this caculator -> http://zen.lebre.net/

Is it already possible to run supernodes?
Yes it is, on the testnet, we are still in testing phase.

Is anyone planning to do a youtube tutorial to set up a secure node?
I will talk with the team about this, video tutorials are always best one.

that you miners use to mine under windows? I'm not capable of pulling the minefield with the Zec miner!
Zcash and ZenCash have the same algo, switching should not be a problem. What graphic cards do you have in your rigs? https://forum.zensystem.io/c/mining

Good stuff. Ae you trying to be as similar as possible to Zcash or are there things under way that will distinguish you from Zcash?
Zen has totally different approach and different goals, I must advise you to read white paper for in depth understanding of what we are trying to achieve here. In short, we are oriented toward better users experiences trough multiple new wallets , secure messaging and publishing abilities. Also Secure Nodes will put us somewhere in between Zcash and Dash. Nodes are profitable but they will not be like Dash's master nodes, and their main task is securing of network, profitability is in the second plan. Government system which will be implemented will include all holders, pools, exchanges..All interested parties. Entire Zen system evolution depends on feedback's from it community, and system itself. Constant changes and implementation of different existing technologies will take place on public demand. Our own research and development will be community driven.
* Through implementation of Secure Nodes we made our first and big difference!

Will Zen have any bounty or signature campaign? If yes, i would like to join it. Thanks dev
We will consider the possibility but not right now, we are focused on our main goal -> Secure Nodes, all resources are now focused toward Nodes. Hello MedaR. When are you going to start secure node on mine chain? If i will have for example 2x42=84 zen, will I have 2 secure nodes or how will it exactly work? Thanks for your answer! Best Nico Very soon secure nodes will go beta. More information will announce soon. The basic requirements of Secure Nodes are:Maintain a minimum of 42 ZEN in transparent address per node. Demonstrates the operator cares enough about ZenCash to own some. Create and maintain a valid TLS certificate from a known Certificate Authority. This enabled encrypted data transport. Run the node on a server with enough processor and memory so that it can meet a computational challenge. This protects against DDoS attacks. Maintain a full copy of the ZenCash blockchain. This makes sure no UTXO’s or commitments are lost. Keep the node up and running at least 92% of the time. 3.5% of the ZenCash mining reward is distributed to all Secure Nodes which meet the requirements during each pay period. https://blog.zensystem.io/secure-nodes-why-are-they-important/Story about Secure Nodes is too complex to be told in few lines, please watch this video for a start: ZenCash Secure Node System Overviewhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgTPy4D27Yg&t=214s

What is the difference between a private block chain and a public block chain? For example, Is Bitcoin a public block chain? Is a private block block chain mean that others can not see your transaction history? Is this the basic meaning?
ZenCash supports two types of transactions: T transactions
T transactions are the traditional blockchain-recorded transactions controlled by a private key in a wallet. Z transactions
These are transactions sent to shielded addresses, as inherited from Zcash and Zclassic. Balances in shielded addresses are private. If spending to one or more shielded addresses, the value stays private but any transparent addresses on the receiving end will deshield the token and reveal the value received on the blockchain. The input shielded addresses and whether the value was sent from one or two of these remains confidential when deshielded.

Hi all, hope you can help. Been trying to follow the quoted instructions. All has gone as planned until the point where I log into the server using putty. I input root@[ip address] and the command window opens asking for a password. I input the password by copy pasteing the server password into the window but it just says "Access Denied". I'm running default settings. Any idea of what I can try to gain access?
Thanks!
I will seek help on the slack channel, I will inform you. I just managed to fix it after some more googling, but thanks for offering to help! What was problem? How did you manage to fix it?
