Zcash, Monero, Verge, Zcoin, Dash etc... aren't all PoW coins? I think yes and this is a big issue for me. I think a PoS ver of zCash would be an excellent potential
POW is superior than POS(from security perspective). Also Pos has one big downside, wealthy individuals have a much larger incentive to validate in POS and will also accumulate more coin at a faster rate..  |

+1 for signature bounty since can mine it anymore with incoming Asics and yet zen is one of my favorite coins for long term  There are still some months left before the Asics will be shipping to the first buyers. I'm having a hell of a time backing up my wallet. I'm upgrading my gaming rig and I want to move my wallet to my laptop for the time being. Is there a tut somewhere?
Give me more details about your wallet and system My gaming rig, Swing wallet v0.80.5 on win10 pro. My laptop also has swing wallet v0.80.5 on win10 pro. Also I am staking for a sec node too.     Notice that application made this backup in to the MedaR on the last picture.. Now you can import your keys in to another swing aplication.. |

Give me more details about your wallet and system My gaming rig, Swing wallet v0.80.5 on win10 pro. My laptop also has swing wallet v0.80.5 on win10 pro. Also I am staking for a sec node too. Go to:  Linux /appdata/roaming/Zen is ~/.zen Mac /appdata/roaming/Zen is ~/Library/Application Support/ 1) Copy this file wallet.dat and store it on safe location !!! 2) Install new swing wallet application on your laptop and let it sync 100%(in case you dont have one on laptop) 3) After running new swing wallet application on your laptop new empty wallet.dat will be created on the laptop. Close this aplication. Replace this file with your wallet.dat (one with your funds), and start your Swing aplication again. Funds will apear immediately if you are syncted your wallet aplication 100%. Whatever you do always backup wallet.dat file with funds. I presume you don't have funds in this wallet on your laptop..

ZenCash Mandatory Software Upgrade & Staking Date Change ZenCash rescheduled the date of the next mandatory software upgrade from the end of May to the start of July 2018 to coincide with Zen 2.0.11 deprecation (cease to function). The mandatory upgrade will include major upgrades and improvements. The current version of Zen, 2.0.11, will cease to function at block 332576. This will take place on or around June 26, 2018. New Arizen release v1.1.6 has been released. What is new:
v1.1.6 - Automatic logoff timeout can be now enabled and set in Settings (minimum 60s of inactivity). - Domain Fronting servers can be set in Settings. - User now can change password - from File menu (this password doesn't need to meet any criteria). Looks like miners will keep getting 88 percent of block reward until july 2018 instead of may! Outside of aligning upgrades, are there any technical issues that are pushing out the timeframes?
I thought it would help everyone understand the reasoning behind the change. The initial estimate was end of May and now it is beginning of July so it is not too big a slip. The hard fork need to be after the deprecation of the current version as it affects full wallets, nodes, pools and exchanges. devman |
