Well I am a noob in tech side of crypto... Can anyone tell me how the attack is detected in blockchain explorer? http://nc2chain.info/address/CT6hK54g9MT3gnK72YGWgVYNUEqQu56HCcIs it address that is generated in Mintpal? I don't see 28mlj coin output to other addresses, except in one transaction to address, where 1.66mlj coins are still unspent. Other recent transactions outputs are to the same address. Sorry for my stupidity!

Even FAC survived from attack and spiked to 6k. I would like to believe that NC2 is stronger survivor.

We are waiting impatiently the feedback from Joel, what Mintpal says.

Remove OFFENDER from BlOCKCHAIN and make it 32 million coins only
Ok, I can't see in block chain, where those 28mlj parked?

OK WE NEED INPUT:
WHAT DO YOU GUYS WANT US TO DO?
1. Start a new coin, reimburse the exchanges, and keep a bigger "safety wallet" 2. Try to get people to pull their coins from exchanges and make sure they are staking. This will still leave Mintpal short and we might lose them as an exchange. It will also leave the attacker with all of the stolen coins.
WE NEED SUGGESTIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY.
If you started a new coin would we get an equal amount of the new coin as we have of NC2? Yes same as before....this time we would make roughly 500 million and keep 400 million in a public account where everyone can check on it. This would give us enough coins to reimburse Mintpal and all C2 users. This time someone would never be able to buy a 51% of the total staking coin. Is this a joke? Mintpal has identified the hacker and most-likely still own the hacker coins. 500M coins = 10X the previous amount this is completly ridiculous knowing the coins is goign to be worth 10X lower overall. So the only winners here are going to be mintpal and the hacker? I am 100% against this, mintpal still has the hacker coins thats for sure all you got to do is either ask mintpal to send you these coins or ban the actual adress and make the total coins 32M. 500M coins is out of question. I think all of us agree to be against hundreds million coin.

Is it possible to get a brief review of what happened?
|
|
|
Bter has disabled the Coin2 market
|
|
|
COMM has disabled address with code fix. I think this is applicable in this case too.

What the hell is happening with C2 again? Mintpal is telling that it was attacked and they have attackers coin then what is the problem? kill those and let us trade. I have 5+ btc value coin holding in mintpal, must get some way to from this if such things happens again again of course coin 2 will be dead. who will believe in coin 2 again?
I too have about 2 BTC invested in this. Also I don't think you can just "kill it" like that. Give it some time.... let them brainstorm and come up with a solution. Panic sells are inevitable as soon as the exchanges open, whether the coin is fixed or not. Lets hope the solution comes as advantageous for both current investors as well as investors to be. I'm sure they will not fuck it up for the current investors. That would be like shooting at their own foot. There will be no new investors if its publicly known that they screwed over the old ones. Lets just wait this storm out shall we After the relief, I think the price could probably blow up.

Anyone else seeing huge debug logs in their wallet??? I'm running the Coin2.0 daemon on a small linux server. I noticed this last week after I started getting warnings that I was running out of space; after tracking it down I realized that it was a 32Gb debug.log file in my Coin2.0 wallet. I emptied the debug file on Friday, and today I started getting the warnings again. By comparison, my Bitcoin wallet debug file is 5.7Mb. Any idea what's going on? I never seen that before. my files are normal. ITC coin has the same issue with debug.log file. I just delete it time to time

devs should show up the ease the anxiety here.
I personally drink a beer and took some antistress remedies. I experienced so much bad things regarding cryptocurrency in last months, therefore I can't take this sh** seriously anymore. What could devs say now is that they investigate things and try to deal with exchanges, and of course think of problem fix.

So freaking sad experience. Nothing left to do except holding the bag of coins.
The good thing I hope is the game, which will be developed. Hope that our stakes will be converted if a coin will be reinitiated again.
|
|
|
We are working on it.
The game will still happen.
Currently going through the motions of fixing things like last time.
If Asiacoin and toiletcoin survived, NC2 will survive without doubts.
|
|
|
Hope there will be continuation to game and Coin2.

I am wondering, how we blamed devs. The recent dumps were too aggressive not to be aware of this.

Further to our previous announcement regarding suspending the Coin2.0 NC2 market we would like to provide an update on our investigations. As it stands at the moment, we have been in contact with the developer regarding a large and sustained series of double spend attacks on the NC2 network.
It is our understanding that a double spend attack is possible when someone owns 51% or more of the staking coins. As not all of the coins are staked at any one time, a relatively small number of coins are required to be able to perform successful double spend attacks. Since someone has managed to perform this exact attack, they clearly own a significant number of coins and the coin network remains insecure at current.
After our investigation we have determined that our system successfully stopped the most recent series of double spend attacks however the attack has been going on for a number of days and as of this moment, we find ourselves short a significant amount of NC2 meaning we are unable to satisfy a large quantity of withdraws from the exchange.
We are still waiting to discuss the next steps with the coins developer, but at this stage it is highly likely that we will not be re-enabling the market.
Thank you for feedback!

There are still cheap FreebiesCoins at sharexcoin.com. Can't believe anyone isn't buy-in. Look at CFC and ENRG, prices are climbing in recent hours.
I thought that buying COMMs at the beginning of listing on exchanges at 10 sats was steal. Freebies are less in count - 500mlj minus destroyed coins, which is, I hope, scheduled at Sunday- tomorrow.

is it normal to wait over 2 hours to become the coin2 to bter? I have transfer from my wallet to bter and i have a lot over 100 confirmations and nothing is yet on bter.
Thx
I experienced very stressful 1,5 hours depositing my COMM coins. I send large amount and started to look in block chain explorer. There were some strange transactions from address to address, but every time a chunk of all amount got in one address. I thought I am f*** up and lost my coins. Finally, I got listed my coins after those transactions ended. My advice is to deposit in small amounts, it works faster.
