so cheap i think
bloody cheap,,folk.. this gonna be next BIG one I am really curious why you think that is? This is ending up being just another scrypt coin being raped by people with big mining rigs or money to rent them, don't see any new innovation here. Not trying to knock the coin, I am not a basher but am curious why you think that? that's exactly it. i set up a slimcoin.conf i put a user and pass, added the nodes, is there something i'm not doing right? or is it just my stupidly bad luck that's doing this? seriously, i want to get into this coin but i'd be nice to actually get a coin first. and i have yet to find one. or even partial. i want to burn a coin. that's it.
i'm wasting this cpu power on it, and nothing is happening, am i supposed to type getwork? i did setgenerate true, i did everything i could think of. i have low hashing power, that much is for sure, but what else could be going on?
Currently the difficulty is at ~0.09567433. which is pretty high for solo mining. It is that you are not lucky yet that you haven't found anything. If you type getmininginfo and see a non-zero number after hashespersec, then you are mining. You could keep on mining if you are feeling lucky or wait for a pool to be made. A pool is currently being made and will be finished shorty. All I would really say is patience and you'll get some coins. You could always buy a few

Hi guys I'm so happy to mined my first block and get 13.23 SLM So what 's the next ? send them to burn ? or driect sell them? What's the benefits to burn them ? My english is poor ,so I can't fully understand what's the POB.
If you burn them, you have a chance at hitting a POB block until the coins burn burn out. If you sell them, you get what you get.

again forked... this is getting freaking boring
.mn and supernova are on the same chain. where do you see a divergence?

Hey We want to gauge if there is interest in a web wallet?
Would you use it? Why or why not? should we implement? Thoughts?
You need to promote the strengths of your coin: Innovative use of blockchain storage, website tie-in, perfect launch, active/responsive devs, possible forks/other great dares?
|
|
|
is this a load of shit then? SHould we stop mining?
x13-dev can you respond?
it's a 0.5% premine spread over the life of pow. it's not a bad thing for the dev to get paid. programmers work their asses off.

That is not what i want, i want to setup a burning pool, finally existing out of 1 azure instance foreach account c.q. wallet. So someone creating an account will still have his own 'online' wallet. It is decentralized that way, payouts instantly after a PoB is found, automated, not in the online wallet, but to a user his own wallet which is out of the pool. The goal is to remove the gambling factor and let it payout to people. If there is no demand i can stop coding. Why didn't you guys said so at first And yes, trust has to be on me, not anonymous.. google my name, find my work or even my house in the Netherlands. Keep going man. There are no maps for these roads. Don't be dissuaded by fear.

i'm currently upgrading the server to a new distro. i will post as soon as I have everything up and running!
Is this for a pool?
|
|

And how the hell are you going to prevent a 51% attack with ONE F@CKING POOL?
There are 3 pools now Who are the other 2? I hope one of them is supernova

Trayvon Martin Coin??

Make sure you guys update your wallets. Since I did, I've been getting a lot more POB coins.

checkpoint warning, no new version that correct this?
Yes, let it sync connections are not stable, they are on and off in no time, there are better nodes than the one in the OP? is the POB gamble, because it seems that burning more doesn't mean more pow coins It just just takes time. The coins burn for a very long time, allowing you mining power for months(?) to come.

What's the easiest way to see all of the POB blocks you've hit?
|
|
|
I am currently working on getting a pool for Slimcoin.
Just an update.
Hi dev, In the first post, i see block time is 90 seconds, is this block time shared by PoB, PoS and PoW? How long does it take to find a PoB and how long does it take to find a PoW ideally (is it both 90 seconds or 270 seconds)? Because i wasn't able to get a PoB block for 24 hours (250 coins burnt) 24 hours is probably not all that long. Your coins burn for a very long time.
