my 2 cents are
1 if mscollec is leaving then
there should be no problem handing over the code to
the new preliminary foundation team and then the permannet one to be voted on will take over from them,
and 2 If the exchange was paid for then smoke actually have no rights to this exchange
as they have been paid to do a job.
If they want more money then they need to come out and say why,
however as its stands you've tendered for a job got paid then you must deliver
to the community foundation what they paid for, or it will be nothing but a theft and scam for anything less than that.
The cards are on the table so answers need to be forthcoming on this thread and not in
secret backroom irc chatrooms.

Before we post an official poll, here are some of the options that were mentioned to us in private for the community to review: How should VOOT proceed if we are unable to reach an agreement with SMOKE for acquiring the exchange? * Let them have it - there are other more important features VOOT should focus their efforts on * Fork the coin, as 100% community-driven, with a coin-swap through Bittrex. * Start a donation fund for another developer to work on an exchange *  The above poll will go live at 12AM EST (3 hours from now) if there are not any community agreed upon modifications. This poll is a last-resort measure for the exchange. The outcome of the poll may not be relevant if we cannot reach an agreement. sovie, I really appreciate you trying to help, and I agree with most of what you say. It is nice to have some constructive criticism here for a change. Once we establish which direction the coin is to move in, VOOT Foundation will be comprised of official roles, and you will have your chance to review this and all future VOOT decisions. FIne keep the poll open for at least minimum 24hrs so everyone gets a chance to have their say or their whine as the case may be after that everyone should be on the smae page of where we are all going together! anyway regardless these are only my suggestions
and they would be the normal way one would proceed
with many people involved.
There are obviously other points of view out there
for discussion.
I am in no way myself looking for any position but to try
and sort this mess out quickly and effectivley without
much more procrastination.
Jefferson should address voot community as to how much
the exchange has cost us, and get these foundation roles
sorted out for voting ASAP.
Who gets voted in after that is not for me to say but for my 1
vote on each position.
After whihc the foundation can have a fair aduly elected
mandate from the voot community to move forward in whichever
way is best for us all as a whole.
This will also allow minimal disruption form fudders and the other exchanges from
interfering as they will have no say after this has been done.

As i understand it that exchange belongs to the voot community we paid for it from funds we raised
and thats not in question as far as i can tell only how it will be run
Whihc in my opinion the properly and duly elected voot foundation members whoever they may be
can take that decision on our behalf.
We should all actually demand clarity on this.
how much did the exchange cost us already
as for the smoke team having something to do with its
operation I can see a clear benefit to keeping them involved since they created the exchange
and therefore know how it functions already
unless they have something completlely different in mind.
Forking a coin is only neccessary if the community does not have possession of the coin
as i understand it this will be given to the foundation or am i wrong?

IF this foundation and the smoke team want things done correctly
then we had better start acting like we know what we are doing
and a vote at an irc meeting suddenly held just not good enough.
I Propose that if you want to be part of the voot foundation
that you first give your name to the nominated transistory PR
person and your qualifications for the position you would like to fill
After this is done, a proper meeting should take place or poll held
where we the voot holders can vote in who we want to represent voot.
At that point discussions with smoke and the hand over the exchange can then take place
in full transparency with everyone in full knowledge of what is going on.
Anything less than this and you are just playing around with my time and money
so first bussiness is who is the transistory pr, i put jefferson forward as
he has been doing an adeqaute job already.
2nd he is to prepare a roll of foundation positions that are to be filled
if he requires help with this then he should ask the community
when this has been accomplished then a public meeting should take place at whihc point
all appropriate voot holders who have a stake in this coin and wish to put themselves forward
for the positoin can do so and their experience.
this can be easily be decided by a simple poll vote for the positions by the community
After that the elected foundation members can eneter negotiation with smoke and carry on forwards
its rather simple really

well not everyone was present at this irc meeting
and i for one and am not comfortable with the idea that a bunch
of people just got tohether and voted for something.
no doubt there were peopple in there from other exchanges
voting without even being voot holders.
This needs to be done with a lot more transparency
than it is being done already.
FUrther all those put up for voting should be confirmed voot holders
and have the appropriate bussiness acumen to do something like this.
So a developer must be a proven developer, a pr person must habe experience
to doing PR ect.
Considering I can tell from the tones of whats being said that smoke are giving
the impression that they were either not paid in full or rather came to some
other agreemenrt with ms collec as to the exchange
this needs to be out in the open
either this coin is going to begin acting like a proper investment vehicle
and run as a proper bussiness or we can all just pack up and go home
as this community has already raised a heck of a lot of funds to get things
done
