~.... and Trump should go back to celebrity TV shows, where he is better equip to blow his own horn.  Roll Eyes

The rush on the US Capital and Trump's contribution to that, should never be forgotten, even if he were acquitted from that.  Roll Eyes

This is what I'm totally agree with you on. It was just a miracle that things didn't turn out much worse. The attack on the United States Capitol, I mean. In a less Democratic country Trump would go to jail for his contribution to that. But unfortunately many Americans, I feel like almost half of them, but I would be happy to be wrong about this, many Americans support Republicans. And among Republicans around 60% want see Donald Trump as the president.

Congrats, mate! Amazing prediciton and amazing win, 5 mBTC with only 1X wagering requirement!

So, how did it go? Please, tell us here about your adventures with slots on Bitcasino.io.

Still waiting for the 5 mBTC to be credited, so I can't share my experience on the bitcasino slot as a result of this guess, maybe if it's been credited, of course I will share whether I win or lose.

Still waiting for Karl to confirm it. Wink

You can't lose, mate. Smiley Unless you bet 5 mBTC at once, but make smaller bets like 0.05 mBTC or less, you can't lose it all, you will certainly win something out of that.

~
I don't think they will change the rules because 2 predictions per contest has attracted more gamblers in this forum when compared to 1 prediction per contest based on what I observed.

Also, I am a fan of 2 predictions per contest myself which is why I hope that they don't change it.

I'm also a fan of the "2 predictions per contest" format, but if this time it will be just one prediction, it surely won't be a problem for us, right? Smiley

But let's see what on Karl's mind regarding this.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: March 12, 2023, 11:24:54 AM
~snip~
We weren't talking about gaming, though. Smiley We discuss here gambling, right? Global video game market is actually larger than gambling market, but let's drop it, because it's out of topic entirely. Let's at least stick with gambling here, ok? Speaking of which, no, it's not a valid argument that "gambler can lose so much more money in the same amount of time than a gamer". Gambler can win a lot too, right? Casinos get their revenue from the house edge, not from what this or that gambler loses.

Casinos absolutely get their money from gambler loses.

Last time I checked some real world numbers, a casino was making about 3% of their net gains from alcohol (note that most bars and restaurants survive on alcohol sales alone basically), and the rest was money received from gambling losses.
~

Well, that's where we, You and I, differ in our opinions. I don't mind. People should have different opinions, life is more fun that way. Smiley But from what I know, losses and winnings more or less compensate each other, and the profit for casinos comes from the house edge, and, you are right, from alcohol sales inside, and also, if we are talking about land-based casinos, there's also hotel and restaurant revenue, some retail revenue, and stuff like that.
1824  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: March 12, 2023, 10:58:05 AM
~
First off, I agree that when we try to do something and then fail in the end, it can be a good lesson for us, a better one than that derived from some lectures. Also, it's good that you borrowed money from your parents, and not from a mafia. Smiley To be honest, I'd like to read more about your "experiment" with a wine business(Where was it? California?). Please, if you have time, tell us about it.

And, as far as I understand, you have achieved financial freedom yourself(or, you are very close to it). So, what is your answer to the question in the OP?

For personal reasons, I am not going to talk about that experiment of wine business in detail but I can share with you that it was not in California. The wine was not a Californian brand but an Australian one. The main lesson from that business failure was that make sure 80% of things are ready before you start a business. If it is only 20%, you are simply killing yourself. Speaking of my financial condition, I am not gonna say I have achieved financial freedom but I do have a comfortable life compared to many people at my age. My parents have laid the foundation that I am worry-free from owning a house/apartment and the other primary reason is my lifestyle. Whether I was a graduate from college or a middle-aged man now, I have always made savings every month, small or big, no exception. I am a real tyical man who lives a life within his means. Well, this does not mean I don't have financial issues.

Thanks for sharing, mate! I'm planning on being a writer one day, so real life stories is what I like to read. In fact, they are priceless because even if you write total fiction, it's not fun to read unless some parts of it are based on real life stories.

Recently, my wife insists on buying an apartment but I believe this is a bad investment due to the unexpected economic conditions nowadays. Maybe having to buy something insanely expensive against my will (like an apartment my wife wants to buy) is my biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? Haha, laugh out.

As for buying an apartment, it depends. I personally would never borrow money to buy an apartment, but if you already have the money, maybe that's not such a bad idea?

1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 12, 2023, 09:00:38 AM
Is it right to call a gambling platform a scam for confiscating users account with the deposited balance because you use more than one SIM card to access the platform? The SIM cards aren't from same network provider, so their IP addresses are different from one another.

This happened to someone I know very well, but I found this to be too cruel,  different IPs on the same device shouldn't cause this ban, what do you think?

There are some gambling platforms that pray that users make this mistake and use the opportunity to sit down on their money.

It depends on the ToS  of the site, in the first place. But I personally think that using different SIM cards shouldn't be the reason for a ban, let alone for confiscating deposited money. If nothing else was violated, it shouldn't. Your friend should contact Support, but, of course, if it is stated in the ToS that such actions will result in banning and confiscating, there's nothing much he can do, unfortunately.

good advice, but maybe for premium membership can be more than once to exchange RP to WOF, if my advice I better exchange it to 100% bonus faucet every hour or 1000% faucet roll every hour, it can also add satoshi coffers to account, sometimes the WOF spin is not very lucky to get 5k satoshi prize.

I was doing this in the past, but then I noticed that I could make only around 12 rolls per day, and sometimes it was 8 or even less, so it was way less attractive than exchanging just 50 RP for 1  WOF spin.

Academy Awards ceremony is in 16 hours. Make your last bets, guys. Not a financial advice, but I just want to show which odds I personally find attractive.

I mean, these odds are better than on other sites I saw, and I think, all three are the winners.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: March 11, 2023, 03:09:37 PM
I missed this thread. Lucky me this resurfaced.

You are a f**cking legend! You truly deserved it. I'm amazed at how you carefully placed your bets. You definitely have the discipline to only bet on matches that you are almost certain of the outcome.

I'm really amazed at your style. Really thanks for sharing your story. But I'm not saying I'm inspired to bet, especially with a parlay with 19 legs. My god, I can't imagine betting on as many matches as that in a multi-bet. You really are a bloody legend!

Why not? If your bet size is just $0.20, why not risk it and potentially, although with an extremely low probability, you can win $450+ USD.

$0.2 × 2268.62 = $453.724

I personally like placing similar bets, especially if I can bet with as little as $0.10. It's like buying a lottery. It's fun. And it's completely in accordance with my rules: don't risk more than you can afford to lose. I mean, even a hundred of such bets is.

I don't know anything about Baseball, but it happened before that I win something betting on stuff I don't know anything about. Wink

I've entered both of them. I like it when you can make as much as 2 predictions, your chances are basically doubled then, right?

Here they are, my predictions:

I want to win one of them so badly as it's been a while since I won anything. Smiley

For the first time in a while, I had a good start for the weekend. No love for Spezia but Inter have been wobbly, even when dominating.

~

Congrats on your win, @buwaytress! You are not showing the bet size, but something tells me that it wasn't a below $0.50 bet like I usually make. Smiley I think you won something good, I congratulate you on that.
1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: March 11, 2023, 01:06:16 PM
I tried to force ChatGPT to make a prediction about the past, or, a retrodiction, if you speak scientifically. Here's the result:

~snip~

I think it kinda gives us an impression on how ChatGPT would be predicting the future events if it were connected to the internet today and its database was updating on a daily basis.

Interesting experiment. It makes sense though, chatgpt is not trained to make prediction, instead it just basically mimics what would be searching the web for facts and replying to a question.

In a more dedicated AI, the output could have been different, because it might be trained with different types of data.

That's the thing, there's no single AI, every AI is different, just like every person is different.
~

I personally think that different AIs are not as different as humans, but actually I'd like to talk about something else.

Gamblers like me, for example, tend to bet on the underdogs with a very low probability of winning, but with some great multiplier on your bet if you turned out to be right. Would any AI suggest such betting? I don't know, maybe. Imo, it would be to speculate on what kind of data the AI would need for making such suggestions.
1830  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 11, 2023, 10:08:43 AM
I'm surprised that many posters in this thread take this suspiciously looking video seriously. Guys, it's just a clickbait, and nothing more than that. There's no logic in it, imo. "Gambling is used extensively around the world to launder money", says the mysterious guy in a mask. So, is it there for laundering money, or for scamming regular gamblers? Because, those are different things, you know.

Reputable gambling sites don't analyse your betting in any way. They don't have such software, and they don't need to do that, in the first place, because they are making good money from the house edge, and that's it. The guy is just a clown.

Many of the casinos that do not accept KYC are what many gamblers are after since many of us are not ready to give out our information to the public anyhow. Gambling is very competitive and if we know what we are doing, we are going to make good amount of money from gambling without much stress. With time when the government put an eye on the casinos especially those that are crypto casinos. Government may in due time ask the team to start asking for KYC from customers.

I don't think we can say that. I even think it's dangerous for us to think that way, because of the potential gambling addiction. Even in the most skill-based gambling game like poker a lot still depends on chance, and you shouldn't expect making a good amount of money without much stress. Same goes for sports betting. As for trying to invent a strategy for winning in purely luck-based games, it's a sure way to disaster.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: March 11, 2023, 08:46:14 AM
Here in India, a lot of hype was generated after the song "Naatu Naatu" got shortlisted. And there is a good chance that it may win the Oscar for best original song. This time the media is also covering the Oscars with a lot of interest, since the song got shortlisted. The song is taken out from the Indian film RRR, which was a grand success at the box office when it was released. The last time an Indian entry won the Oscar was way back in 2009, when AR Rahman won the award for best song (Jai Ho from the movie Slumdog Millionaire).

It's like one of the surest things that will happen during the 95th Academy Awards: Naatu Naatu winning the Oscar for best original song. I like the song, and the scene overall, and I'm proud that it was shot in Kyiv, the city where I live, the city I love more than any other place in the world.

See the building on the background? It's the Mariinskyi Palace, the official residence of the President of Ukraine. It is in the city center, and since there's a nice park around it, every Kyivan was around at least a couple of times.

The ceremony is just around the corner

Make your last bets, guys. And good luck! Smiley

I totally agree that a good name and branding can make a difference in the success of a casino or any service provider. I mean, it's pretty obvious, right? A well-crafted brand can build trust with customers, and having a premium domain name can make a business stand out from the crowd and even give it a sense of credibility.

But let's not forget that having a good brand and domain name isn't the only thing that matters. To be truly successful, a business also needs to have a great product or service, top-notch customer service, fair pricing, and a solid marketing strategy, among other things.

I think customer service is the thing where you can really stand out, because it is so hard these days to invent something new regarding gambling, something that gamblers have never seen before, and, at the same time, something that they will like. Responsive, polite and knowledgeable Support team can impress gamblers, and they will not only stay on the platform themselves, they will bring in others.

What you say clearly confirms my deepest conviction that casinos that make payments in cryptocurrencies should not aggressively and persistently require the player to go through the KYC procedure.

~

The thing is that it's not them casinos want you to go through the procedure. Why would they want it, in the first place? They just want more players on their platform, and of course, such things as KYC, don't help in that regard. It's the government requires from them implementing KYC, and they just have no choice but abide to the law.

1836  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-02-24] Secret cryptomine discovered in routine inspection of school on: March 07, 2023, 01:22:03 PM
Stealing is bad, and stealing electricity is no different. It doesn't matter that you can't see or touch it, stealing it is still stealing. It seems that people like Nadeam Nahas don't understand it. I bet he wouldn't steal a bike from his neighbour, and yet he had stolen nearly $18,000 in electricity from the district, from his neighbours basically.

I once knew a thief with a policy: never steal from normal people.

His reasoning was that corporations and governments have an unfair advantage, and there's no other mean for redress other than to break the rules yourself, with corporations and governments as the target.

Maybe that wouldn't apply in this case, although:

1. I suspect the school pays for electricity out of it's regular budget
2. The regular budget is borrowed, and then paid back with stolen money from everyone's children/grandchildren

however, point 2 is incorrect, because it's actually infeasible to ever pay all the "public liability" type of debts back anyway

I think it's a dangerous thing to have this policy and keep stealing thinking that you never steal from normal people, but only from corporations and governments. Firstly, someone normal can be fined or even fired because it was his/her responsibility to prevent such stealing. Apart from that, stealing from the governemt is usually punished severely and I wouldn't advise anyone to risk their freedom for the sake of getting some cash.

That's why I said "Stealing is bad": it's not only morally bad like in the first example, it can be very harmful for the thief himself, and not in the "afterlife" or some "reincarnation", but here and now.
1837  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: March 07, 2023, 12:36:07 PM
I wonder if Stake can implement something simple for transparency? It is clear that the Stake Original games have a variable RTP, so it is not fixed, like many slots from third party service providers.

It should not be too difficult for Stake developers to add a query feature to the "current" RTP that are configured for each game and to display it in "real time" under the game info tab.

The only reason why you would want to display a fixed text number, is if you are manipulating it.  Roll Eyes

Live RTP is a nice feature, and I myself like to play slots on some gambling platforms where you can see it. I play on both, Highest RTP games and Lowest RTP games for different reasons. The former I play because I think: "Wow, everyone's winning on this slot! 350% RTP for the last 24 hours! I should try my luck with it too." And the latter I play because I think: "Long time no wins? Only 6% RTP? Someone should win soon! Maybe it will be me." But, of course, all that is just for fun. I know well that your chances of winning on a slot don't depend on on other people's(or yours) performance on it during the last 24 hours.

So, it's not about transparency. It's only about more fun.

~ Speaking about features and other similar stuffs then i dont see that there would be something new been offered soon considering that almost everything is just identical when it comes to promotions and offering.

This is why im not really that much hopeful if ever there are new ones that could be seen if we do speak about features and other possible benefits for a gambler to have.
It is really just for entertainment after all in the first place.

It looks identical at first glance, but there are little differences that gamblers notice and for that reason choose one casino over the other. It's like with cars. They all look identical if compared to motorboats or planes, and yet they are very different, and the prices are different too. What I like about casinos is that, unlike with cars, it costs you the same whether you play on a cheap slot or the most expensive one regarding production.
1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Favorite Play’n Go Games and Experience on: March 07, 2023, 09:47:10 AM
Getting free spins on Moon Princess is really hard, but those nice small wins like these
-snip-

You are lucky if you get a reel that is connected repeatedly in 50 spins, even if you don't get free spins, if the balance increases it will be fun. However, for me this game is quite difficult compared to Rise of Olympus. I got free spins several times and didn't get a good win, the biggest win I remember was 20x from the base bet. Unfortunately, I haven't played slots with real money for several months, because I don't have free money and wants to control my mind from playing to win to playing for fun with the minimum deposit possible (if I playing slots again). If there is such an opportunity to play, I will definitely share the results of the free spins that I got. Grin

We'll be waiting for that then. Smiley I wish you to get some money "out of nowhere", as I call it. It's when you win it through a promo contest or something like that. I absolutely support you in limiting your gambling with the money you might need for other things. That's the right way to approach gambling, and I'm happy for you that you can really do it.  Several months without playing slots with real money, it's quite an achievement, I must say.

BTW, which is your favorite when it comes to getting Free spins? If I prefer 4 Free spins, high risk, high return Tongue
I prefer 5 free spins medium risk. so I prefer to take moderate risk not low or high.
because my assumption is 5 free spins can get a large multiplier opportunity and a minimum of x200.IMO

I several times chose 4 free spins, the results were not satisfactory

I'm so convinced that in slot games nothing depends on your actions, and everything depends on luck, that I never change what was offered to me by default. The only thing I might change is the bet size: if it's too high I make it smaller.
