Oh God, it's too big for a small gambler like me. I just didn't imagine the winnings I would get when buying bonus spins with that amount, all I imagined was whether I would be able to not regret it when the game didn't return the amount I bought.

FYI, if I buy $400 worth of bonus spins, that's more than the highest minimum wage in my country. That means I'm buying bonus spins that are higher than the salary of someone who works a full month with overtime.

Let's not miss the fact that regardless of the huge amount won, this guy won with a huge multiplier too. He bet $400 and won $2 million with that. It's 5,000x! So, forget about the bet size, if you can't afford it, and focus on the multiplier. What this story shows is that you can bet $1 and win $5k.

And let's not forget where this guy won such a huge amount

shall we? Smiley
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: August 13, 2023, 10:56:24 AM
~snip~
But guys! Let's think about that "evil" algorithm for a moment. What is it doing exactly? Is it programmed to make you, or anyone of us in particular, to necessarily lose in the long run? Why would it need that? Isn't the goal to make the casino win? Then it shouldn't care about a particular player being in profit in the long run. The only thing the algorithm should care about is that all the players combined were losing the amount equal to the house edge to the house.

I don't want to look smug or something, like I know everything. It's just my opinion. Please, share yours.

It's quite simple really, every single bet you make against the casino has an advantage to the casino, because they get to set the odds, payouts, etc.

So, if you really remove all the lights, sounds, marketing, etc, all you have left is simply games where the casino has the upper hand.

For example, if they had a coin toss game, they would keep tossing a coin, and pay you, say, 80 cents per dollar you bet when you win. And when you lose, they keep that full dollar.

You can see that sometimes you'll win those 80 cents, and sometimes you'll lose your whole dollar. If you keep doing it, you'll lose all your money. It's just math.

Of course the casino games are more complex, and they try to make it look like you have a chance. For example, in roulette you have a payout that is 1 to 1, but then you have the 0, and the 00, which basically means you lose more times than you win, effectively making it more like the 80c to a dollar payout, but not that evident.

The questing is for how long? Some people say, you have to make tens of millions bets, others say, hundreds of millions before you are guaranteed to lose the house edge, like 5 % of your wagers, to the casino. No one is saying how many times you can play before you lose all your money. I think it depends on your balance and on the bet size. And also on luck. I think it's possible to win even with 20% house edge, like in your example, but the the probability of that is very low if you make millions of bets. With just hundreds of bets it's pretty much possible. And that's without any help from AI.

It's yet unknown what AI can change in that regard, but what I think we can say with certainty is that it will not "beat" the house edge in the sense that casinos will go bankrupt. The volume will always do its job and casino will get its share. But for someone in particular, someone who can create a good prompt, AI can be very helpful. Not only it can help to not lose all your money or the house edge. It can help you win some money too.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: August 13, 2023, 09:57:19 AM
~

Talking about the low frequency of bonus round, basically it may happen in all providers when you are in your bad luck.
Some people may not hit bonus round in one specific game/provider after 1000 spins but some other people may hit few times bonus round at the same time.

That's what what I've been always thinking. Well, not always, but after researching about how online slots work a bit. Providers can't change the probaility of hitting the bonus roun at will.

I had a time where I play slot game from Pragmatic with my friend IRL.
We played the same game at the same time, with the same bet amount and in the same casino (local casinos).
What was the result? I can say that the result is something different, my friend got more wins with more bonus round while I got more loss spins and less bonus round.

And it could be the other way round, yes? Slot doesn't "know" who plays it now, and who played it before, and what was lost or won before. In fact, they could easily monitor that, but they don't.

~ From that moment when I said that things have changed,I don't know if it is just a coincidence but soon after not longer than the other day after that I saw at least some persons hitting those max wins in the Pragmatic Play well known slots like Sweet Bonanza and a couple of other slots.Of course the slot description is something unique which can identify how much the slot is going to give back in the RTP but that also means that this RTP takes sometimes one hundred millions spins before reaching out to that spot of the slot machine, pretty complex programming that is why they are the most successful game in every casino.

That's right, after one hundred million spins it's getting closer to the declared RTP. It may deviate by 0.1 % from that, but not more. With just thousands of spins you can be far away from the declared RTP, and there's nothing wrong with that.

~ this is the point
the cemetery of losers is quite silent, you don't hear people sharing their losses so often, so it can give you the false illusion that winning is easy or that risks are lower than they actually are

But nevertheless, most gamblers realize that the probability of them winning is a bit less than losing. They just hope for good luck and that's why they play, not because they think winning is easy. No?

[$3,000] Royal Club of Originals Week 44|Roulette

Post a winning bet on Roulette by hitting number 15.

Bet ID has to end on one of these numbers (2 or 3)

0.03 USD minimum bet amount (in any currency).

Hit it. Was easy this time, took me just 3 rolls.

I've always wanted to know, do you guys use martingale when hunting for a specific number on Roulette? I do, sometimes. Well, not exactly "martingale", but I do increase my bets after several rounds a bit. It's more entertaining for me to play like that. Yeah, I know it's pointless from the scientific perspective, OK? Smiley It's just more fun. And increasing your bets by one cent after several losses is affordable.

Another forum challenge gave me a good win

but 35.50x is not enough to enter. It's one day left. Maybe you can do better than me, guys. Good Luck!

To be honest, this text is too long for me to read. And from the first look, it contains some garbage either. " We are not the World Cop like Uncle Sam." Huh Wtf is that? Who are you, North Korean or something? But let's drop it, ok. It's a gambling section.  What do you suggest or propose? To cooperate in making money through gambling? It's a stupid idea, mate. Waste of time in the best case scenario.

But, as I said I didn't read the whole text. Only looked through it. Have I got it all wrong? What did I miss?

1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: August 13, 2023, 07:34:19 AM
People need to realize that Trump lost the elections and he is at risk of being jailed for the crimes he did and STILL the biggest republican candidate, nobody with a big name is even trying to get it because when you lose once you are usually out.

However, the reason why Trump is getting the nomination was the fact that even if you lose, if you won before and became president that means you are going to be the nominee again, he ran and won once and Biden ran and won and the elected current sitting president, those two will be the candidates and unless one of them is in jail or the other dead, then we are going to see these two running for it. That's it, there is no more talk, we would need one of the candidates not be able to run for them to lose, if they are running, they are winning.

Yes. That's what I'm trying to say all the time. Trump is at risk of being jailed. It's serious and must be taken into account. And it's not like: he's not elected if he's jailed. He won't be elected anyway, because the process will reveal facts that will make his supporters turn away from him. Now 35% of Americans view Trump favorably, but I think in the next few months his supporters will amount to less than 30%.

And it looks like bettors know it.

Biden is getting more and more support recently.

Congratulations to everyone!
I just checked the result from Superbru; many of you got it exactly and scored 3 points. Nobody placed a bet against Man City this time, as it was obvious they would win against Burnley. If I assume everyone placed their bet on Sportsbet the same as Superbru, you guys won!  Cheesy

I am feeling excited as many leagues have already started on the same day. But, I doubt about confidence. I am unsure if I could keep my interest in placing bets regularly. I am the worst gambler, and I always predict the wrong side and lose money. My username should be betwrong. But, Betwrong already took it.

Haha.  Smiley I do bet wrong more often than I want, but what I'm confident in is that there's always a chance to win, no matter what are the odds or what your username is.

I'm gald I was close this time

and I'm close with my second prediction

but it's not finalized yet.

I've joined Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga today. Maybe my predictions will be mostly wrong, again, but looking at the list of participants ... it's an honor to be in one pool with you guys.

1069  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 12, 2023, 11:59:27 AM
The list is quite long for an event held by the casino because usually casinos only do it a few times but Roobet is quite consistent with the art contests and if we count the other promotions carried out by Roobet in the early days of this Casino presence then it will further add to the length of the list such as guessing the names of slot games, sports betting predictions and maybe some more because Roobet is very active in promoting it on this forum.
The art contests that they consistently conduct provide an opportunity for artisans to not only earn money but also hone their skills even better so that their art results are more interesting and have a high value, and good artistic value deserves to be appreciated and Roobet does that well.

Good for them! I can only be thankful to Roobet for this consistency. From the beginning I used to participate in each one of them, but later, after winning no prize, I started missing some contests. And I don't think it was right from my side. Creating an art piece and showing it to the world is fun, innit? Even if you don't win anything. Smiley Think I'm going to do something for the current August Art Contest .

~

With all due respect (and you know I like and respect you a lot), you have got to be kidding here, no?  Huh

Thank you, @efialtis. I respect you a lot too.

Here's my theory. I don't know if you have seen a Black Mirror episode, "Smithereens", but what's happening here with Betnomi might be similar to the events in that episode, namely: you create a big and very profitable business, make a lot of money, and decide to take a rest in some remote place with no mobile or internet for 2-3 months. Unprofessional? Very much so. But humanly it can be understood. It may be a lifetime opportunity to spend couple of months like that. You are making big money, but you've noticed that you can't rest peacefully, you are always getting phone calls and messages needing your attention, even on holidays. So, one day ypu decide, I have to do it at least once in my life. You put everything on auto-pilot, take your family and friends, and disappear for a summer.

I have to say, I am not a businessman. I'm just a regular guy trying to understand this world. Smiley
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: August 12, 2023, 09:49:33 AM
~snip~
Yeah, but, do they really want to be responsible for electing someone like Trump for President of the United States? Some of them, yes, but most people use their head, fortunately. Even if they are Republicans, even if they used to support Trump in the past, thay are not going to support him now.

Donald Trump was already elected president of the US one time. That clearly means that it can happen again, easily.

The US is a very divided country, and this election can really go either way.

Was he prosecuted at the time? I don't think so. And it's a big difference. And it's not Russia, where you can be prosecuted only because you have entered the presidential race. It's America. The charges against Trump are serious: "a conspiracy to violate civil rights, a conspiracy to defraud the government, the corrupt obstruction of an official proceeding and a conspiracy to carry out such obstruction."

And people follow the news. They discover things they didn't know in 2016. Here's what Google is giving today:

Do you still think Trump can win?
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: August 12, 2023, 09:13:16 AM
I think there are more people in the lower class and middle class compared to the really rich, because most of the people in the lower class are unemployed, and the majority of them also rely on easy and quick earnings and what they think of this card is gambling.

and those in the middle class also follow that somehow, because most of the rich people value money and to maintain it they build more businesses that can produce money.

Being in the lower class and hoping to win big one day is totally normal in my opinion. Some people can't live happily without that hope. And, in the lower class or not, you have the right to be happy. To satisfy that need you don't have to risk a lot of money. Buy a dollar lottery ticket once per month and hope for the best. But don't play in casinos thinking that a "winning strategy" will make you rich. Definitely don't rely on that.
1073  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 12, 2023, 08:38:02 AM
Let's imagine that you have half a million US-Dollar/Euro/GBP and want to feel financially safe and build a better future.
1. Real estate - ~

2. Cryptocurrencies ~

3. Business - ~

Which one would you choose from these and why?

~

Real estate isn't necessarily a safe investment. Firstly, you need a lot of money for that. Few people can afford investing half a million. Secondly, and there are many examples of that, an apartment you buy today for $250k can cost half of that in 5 years.

Business, again, requires a lot of money. And, as we all know, it's even harder to profit from it than from real estate. And if you are hard working, smart and lucky and thus managed to open a profitable business, in many places in the world it means only more problems and threat to your freedom and life.

What's left is cryptocurrencies, namely Bitcoin. There's a high probability that BTC will surpass its previous ATH, $69k, in a year or earlier. If I had spare money, I'd invested it in BTC. But only spare money, without which I could live the next 2-3 years. And, of course, it's not a financial advice.
1074  Economy / Economics / Re: The whales stirred. What should we expect? on: August 09, 2023, 11:55:55 AM
I think everything will come to an end, if we are currently worried about the future of cryptocurrencies then we must immediately look for alternative investments or sources of income, of course we must always be realistic that changes will continue to occur so that the assumption that whales will leave cryptocurrencies deserves our attention.

Whales leaving crypto market certainly deserves our attention, and even the assumption of it deserves our attention too. Thank you DrBeer for opening this topic and providing some  great advices above.

My question is, are they leaving? I just checked the news regarding this issue, and found nothing frightening there. After SEC Chair Gary Gensler made his negative comments about crypto two weeks ago, Bitcoin price, contrary to the expectations of skeptics, hasn't started dropping

In fact, it's even a bit higher today than it was back in July 27. To me it looks like whales just ignore those comments.
1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: August 09, 2023, 10:43:02 AM
Professional gamblers and honest minded never cheat in gambling but poor minded definitely cheat in gambling. Of course it depends on the nature of the gambler, I never cheat on gambling or encourage anyone to cheat.
But if someone has participated in fraudulent activities in gambling and casino then surely the authority will take sufficient action on his account and his account will be penalized.
But if there is a systematic bug then many low minded gamblers cheat but their number is very less.

I think there are many - I wouldn't call them "gamblers" - dishonest people who would try to exploit a bug to their advantage, but the probability of them finding such a bug is very low.

In the early times of online gambling it was more often when a scammer finds a vulnerability and exploits it, but today ... Has anyone heard of something like the Hufflepuff's case happening recently?
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: August 09, 2023, 10:07:26 AM
~
But the things is that with good skills and strategies you can have a good chance of making close to a $100 or more daily by avoiding risky games that have low chances of making profit, avoid chasing huge funds with little money or playing multiple bets on one slip with little funds like for instance I've seen cases where some people would pick out 30 to 40 games and stake with 100 in their various local currencies to win millions of money, these are very risky games and it's very rare for people to win such games it only takes luck and happens once in a while, you can play safe by picking up to 4 to 5 low risk games with little odds and stake high such games have up to 80% chances of winning you good money daily, but note that as a gamble you should always bet with your spare cash, very important.

Multibets have low chance to be won, that's true, but I can't avoid them because it's so much fun when you win one of them. But you are absolutely right in saying that the stakes must low and picking out 30 to 40 games is not recommended. I normally pick out 5-6 games and get the odds that are pretty much satisfying for me, meaning they are above 100.00. Just  like in this 6-leg bet slip I made yesterday:

I was pretty close to win it, wasn't I? Smiley I did lose, but I lost only 30 cents. I wouldn't dare to stake something bigger with those odds.

1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: August 08, 2023, 10:54:40 AM
I haven't been threatened because my gambling addiction isn't severe and I won't let myself go that far. Simply because I've been gambling for so long, I know how it works, and going too far won't help. So going to the point where a threat will come from individuals close to me will not happen.

From what I see, you are a responsible gambler, and you shouldn't be told to stop gambling. But if, being a gambler like you described, a responsible gambler, you would still be threatened "to stop gambling" by your close ones, what would you do? What would you say to them? Because I don't think such people would be convinced by the words above.
