1821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why didn't you switch to thinking in mBTC yet? on: June 16, 2013, 11:52:19 AM
Only complete idiots can be fooled into thinking that mBTC is better than BTC. It's the same goddamn thing.

Nu-uh, millimeters are much better than meters  Angry

So I go to the newsvendor and get the paper, but then I can't get a coffee next door, because I'm on cooldown?

Idgi. There's just a send and a cancel button.

What prevents me from punching you in the nose and then stealing ALL of your coins?

Should be password protected for sure.

They should put a fingerprint scanner in there. USB stick sized fingerprint readers are like 40 bucks in retail, so the parts should be available for a dollar or two. Throw out the buttons. Put the scanner there instead.

Good job googling yourself and validating my point.

I get an automated report everyday on a list of keywords to monitor posts about BEP and other such things. If you ever choose to start a business involving a social media strategy, then you'll see the wisdom in that approach.

So what you're saying is you're google alerting yourself. Good job validating my point.

Laffo, so you ran the "extortion" account, but get up in arms when people retaliate?

Protip: Don't go a-trolling, if you can't handle the feedback.

Luckily for you, I run a highly successful educational effort in how to successfully troll people. I call it the Charles Hoskinson School of Communications.

For the low low and time-limited price of only 100 BTC this six-week course will teach you how to apply Schopenhauers rhetoric to disrupt any fruitful discussion and to discredit your opponents.

Take advantage of this incredible offer now. Tomorrow the price may have already risen to the level of Supernode Marquis rank.

Lol, greyhawk. Thanks for the mention

Good job googling yourself and validating my point.

Thanks for the clarification, Bear.
1828  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got SCAMMED by bitbox.mx!!! on: June 15, 2013, 08:02:45 PM
What about Mexican AML laws? That site claims to be Mexican at least.
1829  Other / Meta / Re: Are the mods getting paid from this forum? on: June 15, 2013, 07:58:19 PM
Didn't Diablo3 get demodded in the custom hardware subforum specifically because he dared to moderate in a way Josh saw as detrimental towards BFL? Or is this an old man's faulty memory at work?
1830  Other / Off-topic / Re: Being Rick Rolled By Trade Fortress on: June 15, 2013, 06:51:07 PM
Someone scammer tag me. I just stole a 100 BTC.

KA-CHING!

Sticking around whining and ban-evading after that is just begging to be used as a chew toy.

This. Hell, I've been forced to permaban IRL friends from forums I moderate when they repeatedly ban-evaded after being banned for being assholes and them going "I know greyhawk IRL. I can't be banned." Now THAT isn't funny.

I do. Here's the truth: The forum is in reality a giant prank instigated by me to make fun of Bitcoiners.

I'm sorry you had to learn it this way.  Sad
1836  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coin generation on: June 15, 2013, 10:58:46 AM
Yahoo still exists  Huh

What's a Yahoo?  Grin

A Yahoo is the successor to an AOL.

An AOL used to be the primary source of free cupholders (read: "trial discs").

Sounds like a Compuserve to me.

I just came across it, so it must have just have come out.

We've been discussing that little shop of horrors for months. Your "this is a new thing" detector is broken. Also they're a scam.
1839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal to change Bitcoins hashing algorithm to Scrpyt-Jane on: June 14, 2013, 07:43:14 PM
Just be happy that there is no new technology beyond ASICs for a long time.

1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal to change Bitcoins hashing algorithm to Scrpyt-Jane on: June 14, 2013, 02:59:19 PM
This ASIC arms race has gotten out of hand. To give Bitcoin back to the majority of Bitcoiners I hereby propose to change the hashing algorithm to Scrpyt-Jane.

PS, yes I'm serious.

Only miners have voting power. You cannot change that.

Doesn't sound very libertarian to me.
